Author's Notes: Hi, readers. Here's chapter three of "Don't Run Away III: Danger Unleashed." I'm glad it took just three days to get out. This chapter contains more elements from "A Bad Reflection on You." I decided not to exclude the Power Rangers' allies from the doppelgangers led by Twin Man because I believed Rita would have wanted to target them as well. It would've been confusing if she hadn't. Stay tuned for chapter four.

Chapter 3: Stuck in Detention

Mr. Kaplan wiped the soapsuds off his blue jacket with a rag as he stood next to the desk in detention five minutes later. He stared down Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, Kim, Bulk, and Skull. Jason, Kim, Billy, and Zack sat in the first desks in all four rows. Bulk, Skull, Trini, and Aisha were seated in the second desks. Rocky and Adam happened to be behind Trini and Aisha. Kat was behind Adam. Bulk had his lunch box sitting on top of his desk. Jason's cane leaned against his chair. He and the others had their backpacks on the floor.

Bulk and Skull couldn't help but chuckle as Mr. Kaplan emitted a soft snort. They were thrilled their rivals had finally landed in detention. Of course, they didn't expect it to be with them. They were caught bullying a student by Ms. Applebee, who sent them here for first period. They didn't protest this time since they were used to it.

"All right," Mr. Kaplan said sternly as he eyed Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim. He clenched his teeth so tightly that it seemed they were about to break. "You all know why you are here."

Skull blew a raspberry. He looked around somewhat confusingly as Bulk snickered under his breath. Mr. Kaplan rolled his eyes. He sighed heavily and shook his head in disbelief. He shot a glare at Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim. All nine teens tensed quite a bit and swallowed hard.

"Your drinking fountain prank was the height of delinquency," Mr. Kaplan said, anger lining his voice.

"What are you talking about, Mr. Kaplan?" Adam asked in confusion.

"Mr. Kaplan, we would never do—" Jason started.

"Silence!" Mr. Kaplan interrupted sternly while pointing his finger at him. He touched his forehead. "Damn it. I am getting a headache."

"Oh, no. You just said a bad word, Mr. Kaplan," Bulk commented with a chuckle.

"You better put yourself in detention," Skull said, laughing raucously. "On top of that, your headache might be a tumor."

"I will put myself in detention once you two are old men," Mr. Kaplan responded annoyingly. "My headache is not a tumor at all."

Bulk mouthed the principal's words in a mocking way. He stopped when he received a glare from him. Mr. Kaplan shifted his attention toward the bully's rivals.

"Now, you are to remain in your seats for the duration of first period. I will oversee detention today because several teachers are sick with that pesky stomach virus. So are several students, including Tommy," Mr. Kaplan said and cleared his throat.

"Tommy's sick?" Kim asked in surprise.

"Unfortunately," Mr. Kaplan replied honestly. He looked at his watch. "Anyway, I have a meeting to attend in a few minutes."

Bulk motioned toward the door. "Hey, Mr. Kaplan. Go to your meeting. I know the routine. I'll fill them in on the rest."

Mr. Kaplan raised an eyebrow. "All right, Bulk, but I will be back shortly."

Mr. Kaplan walked out of the room. Bulk and Skull waved at him with big smiles on their faces. They stopped smiling and growled in much determination and ferocity.

"I thought he would never leave," Skull said and pretended to spit at the floor. He rubbed his hands together. He stood up and sat on top of his chair. "I am so glad he is gone."

"Me too," Bulk commented with a laugh. "Now, here I go."

Bulk rose to his feet and grabbed his box. He went over to Jason, who gazed up at him. He narrowed his eyes at him before flaring his nostrils. Jason blinked three times.

"Hey, you. Get out of my chair," Bulk demanded very rudely.

"Do I see your name written on it?" Jason asked.

Bulk pushed the boy's notebook aside to reveal his name in black chalk. "Right here, geek. You see B-U-U-L-K!"

Trini scoffed. "It's not even spelled right."

"She's got you there," Aisha agreed while holding up her pencil.

"Oh, shut up, bitches," Bulk retorted with a hiss.

Skull nodded sharply. "Yeah!"

Bulk let out a loud huff and made a gesture at Jason, who grabbed his notebook, backpack, and cane with a soft sigh. Jason stood up at a slow yet steady pace. He went over to the desk next to Adam and sat down. He leaned his cane against the chair and placed his notebook on top of the desk. He put his backpack on the back of the chair. Skull leaned close to Kim, who looked over her shoulder at him.

"So, are we still on for tonight?" Skull asked and clicked his teeth repeatedly.

"Get real, eel," Kim responded in much disgust. She turned toward the blackboard as he pulled back with a confused look on his face. She grabbed her backpack and unzipped it. She pulled out The Neverending Story. She placed it on top of her desk. She opened it. "Besides, I don't go on dates on with bozos like you."

Kim started reading a page. She really wanted to tell Skull that she was married to Tommy. Of course, she couldn't because it would make her friends suspicious. She didn't like not being able to wear her wedding ring. She took comfort in the fact it was safely stashed under her clothes in the first drawer of her dresser.

"Just give it up, Skull," Kat insisted and let out an irritated scoff. "Kim is not interested in you."

"Nice girls like her don't date bullies. By the way, you have a really bad fashion sense," Aisha added.

"So does Bulk. You two need to dress and act like gentlemen for once," Kat murmured, a snort coming from her.

"Shut up, girls," Skull snapped as he glared at the duo. "Bulk and I like the way we are."

"You two might like the way you are, but we don't," Aisha snapped.

"We don't care," Skull leered. "Besides, you need to mind your own business."

"You are a hypocrite for saying that, Skull," Trini retorted and huffed loudly. "You poke your nose into other people's business, yet you expect them to mind theirs." She mumbled inaudible words in Vietnamese. "That is pathetic."

"Hypocrisy is a part of life," Skull commented, looking at her. "Get over it."

Trini waved the bully off. Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat stood up and went over to Zack's desk. They, Kim, Billy, Zack, Jason, and Trini watched Bulk look down at his box eagerly.

"I wonder what snacks Mom gave me for detention today," Bulk said, a laugh coming from him. "I bet they are good."

Bulk set his box on the table next to him. He opened it and pulled out a napkin. He stuffed it into his orange t-shirt. He pulled out two doughnuts and placed them on his desk. He repeated his actions with a turkey sandwich and a pineapple. The entire group observed him getting a bunch of six bananas, a whipped-cream pie, mustard, and ketchup out and placing them on the table. Everyone gave him weird looks, especially Kim.

Bulk grabbed a sprite and laid it on his desk. He grabbed the sandwich and removed the plastic from it. He tossed it to the floor. This caused Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim to scoff in irritation. He licked his lips before smacking them four times. He was about to take a bite out of the sandwich when he spotted Skull glancing over his shoulder.

"Quit staring," Bulk snapped. "Your ugly mug is making me lose my appetite."

"Oh, come on, Bulk," Skull pleaded. "Give me a little something, please."

Bulk grabbed the sprite reluctantly. He presented it to Skull, who took it eagerly and returned to his desk. He took a bite out of the sandwich and started chewing. Skull sat on top of the chair and examined the can. Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim looked at each other.

"Something's not right, guys," Rocky whispered in some uncertainty.

"Yeah. What in the hell is going on?" Trini asked.

Zack rolled his eyes. "Skull thinks he has a date with Kim."

"Well, that's not the first time," Jason pointed out matter-of-factly. "Remember when she and Billy got turned into punks. She actually asked Skull on a date." He suppressed a yawn. "You, Trini, and I couldn't believe that, Zack."

"Please, don't remind me, Jason," Kim grumbled in an annoyed voice. "I just want to forget that."

"Sorry, little sis," Jason apologized.

Billy cleared his throat. "Not even Skull's that mentally deficient."

Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim glanced toward Skull, who held up the sprite. Skull opened it, only to be squirted in the face. They broke into a fit of laughter. Kim upped the volume of her laughing. They stopped when he glared at her. Bulk swallowed with a loud gulp.

"You think that is funny?" Skull growled angrily. "Well, I am going to make you pay for laughing the loudest!"

Skull went toward Kim with a menacing look on his face. She stood up and got to the side of the desk. He got to the other side and covered the opening on the sprite with his thumb. Bulk smiled at the unfolding scene. She moved from side to side as Skull lowered the sprite. He brought it up and uncovered it. He sprayed at her, only to miss her when she ran out of the way. It hit Bulk in the face. He glared at his sidekick.

"Uh-oh. She ducked!" Skull said as he pointed his finger at Kim.

"Shut up, moonbrain!" Bulk shouted and picked up the pie. "Take this!"

Bulk threw the pie with a yell. It hit Skull on the side of his face and fell to the floor, landing upside down. He tasted some of it and smiled in much warmth.

"Gee, Bulk. This is better than what Mom makes," Skull said, a chuckle leaving his mouth. "Thanks for sharing."

Bulk spit sprite out of his mouth. Kim went over to her desk to get her backpack and book. She headed to the one behind Kat. She put the former on the floor and the latter on top of the desk. She closed the book with a heavy sigh.

"Damn. Do we have to deal with this for the first part of the morning?" Zack said irritatingly.

"Unfortunately," Adam responded grimly. "It does give us a good look at what Bulk and Skull do in detention when no teacher or principal is present."

"I wish a teacher was here. They would keep them under control," Kat mumbled. "Of course, that stomach virus has made it impossible."

Rocky stroked his chin. "It makes me wonder how many times Mr. Kaplan has filled in Ms. Jones's place when it comes to detention. The same goes for filling in as a teacher."

"I hope Mr. Kaplan gets back really soon, though I don't like the fact he put us in detention," Adam admitted. "He'll get those bullies back in line like he always does."

Aisha frowned a bit. "It sucks we got blamed for something we didn't do."

"Moreover, none of us have received detention until today with the exception of Kim," Jason commented as he motioned toward Kim.

"My first detention wasn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but I made it through," Kim whispered and ran her tongue all over the inside of her mouth. "After all, there is a first time for everything."

"I just wish this first time in detention didn't happen after Thanksgiving weekend," Billy muttered sadly.

Jason shook his head. "Forget about detention. Let's talk about Tommy. It sucks he got sick with that stomach virus."

"How about we call him on the pay phone and see how he is doing?" Kat suggested.

"That is a good idea, Kat," Billy said with much warmth.

Kim giggled in great glee. "He will totally light up when he hears our voices."

"Just don't let any of us jump into the phone and land in his house, Kim," Rocky quipped with a snicker.

Adam laughed sarcastically. "Very funny, Rocky."

Kat blew a raspberry. "Oh, yeah."

Jason, Trini, Rocky, Aisha, Adam, Billy, Kat, Zack, and Kim glanced at Bulk, who resumed eating his sandwich. Skull returned to his desk and seated himself.
