"Excuse me, can you help us?" Xander had spotted someone in a military uniform. The man turned towards them and said. "Alexander? Something wrong? You're out of uniform. I've never seen you out of uniform while you're on duty."

"Huh, so there's a me around here. I'm not who you think I am. My name is Alexander Harris, this is my girlfriend Cordelia. We're looking for Alterans. Are there any around here?"

"If that's supposed to be a joke, it's not exactly funny."

"Trust me, he's not trying to be." Cordelia told him.

"Just a moment." The officer tapped something in his ear and said. "Alexander?"

"Yes, Major?" Alexander replied.

"We seem to have a bit of a problem. There's another you and Corda here."

"Say again?"

"They look about three or four years younger then you and Corda. Alexander, they're looking for Alterans."

"Take them to the infirmary and have Dr. Brightman or Dr. Becket check them. I'll meet you there."

"Yes, sir."

"I take it me is in the military here, but if he's only a few years older than me, why you are acting like he's above you in rank?" Xander asked.

"Because he is, he's the military commander of this base. Where did you come from?"

"Another reality."

"There's no Quantum Mirror in that room."

"We don't need a Mirror at the exit point, or at any point after the initial jump. The Mirror we came through is anchoring us to our original reality and along with the control device, all we have to do is state our destination."

"Wow, our understanding was that you need a Mirror on both ends."

"Why would you think that?" Xander said, confused. "You have no way of knowing if another reality even has one. Not every reality is even going to think of the idea, let alone make one."

"That makes sense. I guess we thought we needed one on each side because the first time one was used, there was one on the other side. Here's the infirmary. Doc, we got a couple of people for you to scan."

"Alexander? Corda? Is something wrong?"

"We're not Alexander and Corda. We came from another reality." Xander told the man who's name tag read Dr. Carson Beckett. "We don't know where we are. We came looking for Alterans. They have something we need."

"Oh dear. Major, did you notify Alexander?"

"Yeah, Doc. He's on his way."

"So what should we call you?" Dr. Beckett asked.

"You can call me Xander, she's Cordelia."

"I'm going to need to scan you."

"You want to make sure we didn't bring any bugs to your reality, right? We're been through the drill before. Do what you need to. But like I told the last Doc, you knock us out and try to experiment on us, I will kill you."

Dr. Beckett blinked and said. "I would never!"

"Just want to make sure, I'm not sure what this scan of yours is going to show, but neither of us are what you'd call normal."

"Oh, well. Thank you for letting me know that. Can you give me any details?"

"I was created by Thor."

"Oh, Jon's met Thor. Actually Jon was created by Loki. Something which annoyed Thor."

"Who's Jon?"

"The leader of our expedition." Dr. Beckett told them, just as the door to the infirmary slid open and another version of Xander walked in.

"This makes the third Xander Harris, beside you, that I've seen this week." Cordelia commented. "Which still doesn't make us even because you've seen four versions of me this week."

"One of them wasn't you though, she was a copy, does that really count?"

"Give it half a point."

"So it still puts me ahead."

Alexander sighed. This wasn't how this day was supposed to go. It been a year since the defeat of the Wraith. Atlantis had been building relationships with the people of Pegasus and exploring. It was supposed to be a routine day. Another him and Corda wasn't on the agenda.

"My name is Captain Alexander. What can I call you?"

"Xander and why are you using your first name as your last name?"

"I'm not, I don't use Harris at all. I'm not Alexander Harris, well I both am and am not. Let me just toss something out there. If I say Halloween and Ethan Rayne, what do you think of?"

"Turning into a soldier for a couple of hours. I take it something a little different happened to you?"

"Janus got involved. I am an earlier incarnation pulled from the soul of Alexander Harris. We blended. I am considerably older then him. I overwhelmed him."

"You think Janus did it on purpose?"

"Yes. Given what we've accomplished, I think so."

"What have you accomplished?"

"The closing of the Hellmouths, the destruction of the vampires, near total elimination of all hostile demons, destroying Wolfram and Hart and the Watchers Council and saving all the Potentials and ensuring no Slayer is ever called again. On Earth that is. We've also defeated two hostile alien races."

"Oh, wow. We're not at that point yet. And Janus seems to like meddling. He's part of our support system. My Cordy and I are here for a reason. We need something you have to deal with an issue back home. Slayers are mankind's weapons of choice. The gods created immortals in our reality to be their weapons of choice. Poisonous and immune to vampires, only a demon has been playing games and millions are dead because of it. Thor and Artemis created me and Cordy to be the ones to deal with the demon in question. They sent us out to get some things to help with that. A weapon for each of us and something the Alterans have. The Ark of Truth, which we don't want, because we don't want to be brainwashing immortals and a Priors staff."

"The Ark of Truth is in another galaxy. It was left behind when we left our home galaxy over fifty million years ago. I wouldn't want anything to do with it anyway. And I have never heard of a Priors staff."
