The Grand Canyon, a very vast and deep canyon, one of the world's most famous landmarks. It is located by the Colorado River in Arizona, famous for its vast canyon and many caves where Native Americans used to use as settlements in old times. But for some campers, the canyon offers a nice chance to take a long hike. In fact one of these groups were currently sleeping in their tents after putting out their campfire.
After having dinner and putting out their campfire, they all fell asleep, not knowing that some embers from the fire still remained. A few seconds later some rocks fell down from the cliff with a card capsule as well. The second it hit the ground, the capsule opened revealing four cards inside.
Then a gust of wind blew the embers from the campfire towards the cards landing on them. Once the embers touched them the Dinosaur inside was instantly activated.
The Dinosaur was another Theropod but it wasn't as big as Terry and it didn't have two fingers on its arms. Its arms were about the same as Allison's and Sorow's with three claws, and also like Allison and Sorow, it had a pair of small horns on its head. Its body was coloured in yellow with brown markings and its underbelly was white with black bumps going all the way along its back. This Dinosaur was a Metriacanthosaurus.
Making its presence known with a loud roar, it began sniffing for something to eat, its first visit was to the campsite where the campers that had been awakened by the roar, looked out in fear seeing the massive Predator heading for them.
But fortunately luck was on their side, they had set up their camp in one of the caves that had a smaller entrance than the others. As soon as the Metriacanthosaurus approached and tried to squeeze in, all it grabbed was left over bacon and sausages that hadn't been eaten.
After a while of trying, the Allosaurid realised that the hairless Mammals were too far from its reach and decided to try and find food elsewhere. Once the Theropod left the campers were shocked.
"What was that thing?"
"It's the evil monster of the Grand Canyon!"
"The Evil Spirit?"
"Yeah."
"Oh no! We're doomed!"
The Metricanthosaurus then ran off into the canyon, for some strange reason as the people began to evacuate.
(Intro theme)
In Sanjo City the D-Team were currently hanging out at the park. Rex was reading under a tree, Zoe was lying on her back in the sun and Max was taking a nap. Chomp, Terry, Ace, Tank, Paris and Spiny were currently playing a game of rolling down the hill. All were quiet as they did their activities, at last Max broke the silence.
"You know what Sanzo did say to us while we were in China does make a bit of sense." Max said. "Maybe for the next Dinosaur we should try talking with it first before engaging in a fight."
"You're not wrong there Max." Rex said, looking up from his book. "I mean trying to avoid a fight is always the safest option."
"But remember that they won't understand us." Zoe said, as she sat up. "And like Terry and the others said, battling is like our way of communicating with them."
"Well it can't hurt to at least try." Rex said. "What do you think, Rhysa?"
But it was only now that the D-Team had noticed that the blondette wasn't in the park.
"Hey where is Rhysa?" Zoe asked.
"Come to think of it, we haven't seen her for a while now." Max said. "I wonder what she's doing?"
Rhysa was currently at the D-Lab, she was reading the text of paper she found at the library and was trying to translate the ancient language so she could understand what it meant.
"What does this ancient text mean?" Rhysa asked herself.
The other Dinosaurs had noticed that their blondette friend had been sitting at that desk non stop trying to translate the text and hardly spared a hello to them, and her lack of talking didn't go unnoticed by Mufasa.
"Ahem." The Ampelosaurus said.
"Huh?" Rhysa asked, snapping out of her focus and turned around. "Oh it's you Mufasa."
"Young Rhysa, you've been at that desk ever since you got back from China." Mufasa said. "What's the matter, young one?"
"Well, Mufasa before we went to Vietnam the other day, I was at the library trying to find some info about Seikatsu and Shi, but none of the books I read have told me anything." Rhysa said. "But as I was putting the books I read back on the trolley, this piece of paper fell out of one of the books."
Rhysa then showed Mufasa the piece of paper, and to the Ampelosaurus' surprise as well as his curiosity the paper was written in ancient language.
"I've been trying to translate it so I can find out what it says, but so far, I've had no such luck." Rhysa said.
"Well perhaps you can't but I believe that I can." Mufasa said.
"You can?" Rhysa asked.
"You can leave this to me now, Rhysa." Mufasa said. "You're needed elsewhere."
Having a good idea what the Sauropod meant, Rhysa turned to the monitor of the screen and saw a blinking dot on the map. Pulling out her Dino Holder she saw that another Dinosaur had appeared.
"Another Dinosaur's appeared!" Rhysa gasped. "I'd better call the others!"
DK
Meanwhile in the Grand Canyon, visitors had finished evacuating the canyon and the police had set up a perimeter around the main path preventing anyone from entering the canyon.
The Metriacanthosaurus was currently having a nap in one of the caves, it seemed to be waiting for something.

At Zeta Point, Ungaro and his men were grumbling about their failed mission to get the Shantungosaurus Card back in China.
"I curse those brats!" Ungaro growled, while throwing an empty soda can. "Even after we get back in the hunting game, we're foiled the second we head back out into the field!"
"Now you know how we feel, when those pipsqueaks beat us." Cursula said. "But we're gonna get better at it now."
"Better indeed." Louisa said, entering the room with Inferno and his pack. "I've just had a word with Inferno, you see last night, he and Brontikens had a Mashindano and surprisingly, Brontikens lost the battle so Inferno now leads all our Dinosaurs."
Before the H-Team could answer, Dr.N came into the room. "Everyone, another Dinosaur has been detected!" He exclaimed. "Everybody to the control room!"
Once they entered the control room everyone saw the blinking red dot on the map. "So where is it this time?" Slander asked.
"Um, it looks like it's in North America." Tred said.
"More precisely the Grand Canyon, in Arizona." Dr.N said.
"Oh what's so grand about a canyon?" Cursula asked unimpressed. "It's just another gap in the land. A little canyon will be easy to find this Dinosaur."
"Actually Cursula, this isn't just some ordinary canyon." Louisa said. "I did some research and this 'little' canyon is actually 277 miles long, with a large amount of caves that the Native Americans used to live in. So it will be harder to find the Dinosaur that you think."
"And you won't be finding it if you don't get going!" Dr.N yelled at the quartet. "You four go to the canyon, Ungaro, you and your men go with them!"
"We'd love to doc, but most of our guns, jeeps and helicopters need repairing before we're back in action." Ungaro groaned, before grabbing his toolbox, with the H-Team staring at him confused. "What? You can't be a good poacher unless you know how to fix your own rides."
"Fair point." Dr.N said, before turning to the H-Team. "You four get to that canyon and search it until you find that Dinosaur, and if you don't you can stay there for the rest of your lives!"
"Yes sir, Doctor sir!" The H-Team cried, as they raced to the Hybro Craft.
"Hybro Gang Dinosaurs. Move out!" Inferno roared, as he and some of the Clones followed the H-Team.
DK
At the D-Lab, Reese was checking the coordinates on her computer as the rest of the D-Team raced in.
"Reese! Where's the Dinosaur this time?" Max asked.
"A Dinosaur appeared in the Grand Canyon." Reese said.
"The Grand Canyon!" Rex gasped. "But that canyon's over 270 miles long! It could take a long time to find the Dinosaur."
"Well we won't find it if we just sit here." Zoe said.
"You're right babe, we've got work to do!" Max said, as the D-Team prepared to teleport.
"Let's go guys." Rhysa said.
"Hey Rhysa, mind if Sally, Luckie and I join you this time?" Sorow asked, as he and his two fellow Jurassic Dinosaurs stepped forward.
"We haven't been on any missions since the Battle of Sanjo City." Luckie said. "I've been itching to have a battle with the Hybro Gang."
"So have I." Sally said. "I'd really like another shot at whacking that phoney Stegosaurus, Armatus again!"
"Okay, sure thing." Rhysa said. "We could use all the help we can get." Rhysa then returned the three to their cards and joined the others.
DK
The D-Team soon arrived at the Grand Canyon, they had teleported right inside the canyon itself. Once there, Rhysa then let Sorow, Luckie and Sally out of their cards.
"Okay so where do we start looking?" Chomp asked. "I mean the Dinosaur could be anywhere."
"This is gonna be like finding a needle in a haystack." Max said.
"Well considering the Dino Holder's now showing Sorow's, Sally's and Luckie's signals." Rhysa said, looking at her Dino Holder. "It's giving me a much better view of where we are."
The other D-Team members looked at their Dino Holders and saw Rhysa was right. With three additional blinking red dots showing their three Jurassic Friends as well as the new one's signal. Knowing they now had some kind of guide they began their search for the new Dinosaur.

Back on Zeta Point, Gigas, Armatus and Maximus had somehow managed to grab their breakfast early, before the rest of the Hybog Gang Dinosaurs had woken up and had met up at the pond, but Brontikens wasn't present this time.
"Where's Brontikens?" Armatus asked. "I thought he'd be here having his breakfast."
"I saw Welga delivering a trough of cycad leaves to his room." Gigas said. "I guess he's still too upset about losing the Mashindano yesterday."
"I've never seen him like this before either." Maximus said. "He was always proud, loud and grand. He showed us nothing but wisdom when he was teaching us."
"I know what you mean sheila." Armatus agreed. "He wouldn't tolerate any slacking and made sure he taught us everything he knows."
"Yeah, you're right." Gigas added. "I really thought he was gonna win, but he was defeated by Inferno."
The trio of revived Fossils had known Brontikens for a really long time, and throughout that time Brontikens had shown them the laws of Dinosaur culture. At first they only saw him as a teacher and an ally, but although they didn't tell him they considered him to be their father-figure and their friend.
"Should we go and pay him a visit?" Gigas asked.
"You know what he'll say dude." Armatus said. "He'll only tell us, 'I don't need any sympathy for you three' or something like that."
"We should just give him some space for now." Maximus said. "Knowing Brontikens all he needs is some time alone and he'll probably be back to his old self in no time."
Armatus and Gigas couldn't argue with that, Brontikens was never the one who wanted to have others to talk to about his problems. With that in mind the trio finished their breakfast and decided to go and do something away from the rest of the Hybro Dinosaurs.
But from one of the bushes, Scar, Torture and Magma were watching and listening with intent.
"Oh those three sure are stupid." Magma chuckled. "They don't know Brontikens at all!"
"He may have taught them everything he knows but he hasn't told them his terrible past." Torture snickered.
"But I still don't get why Inferno wanted us to let them go first for breakfast." Scar said. "I mean, I don't understand why we have to wait for them to take their food and then leave."
"Easy Scar, this is all part of Inferno's plan." Torture said. "If we prove to those three we want to be nicer to them, then they'll soon leave that weakling Brontikens and finally all the pawns will be in place."
"So you see, Inferno's not only the strongest, but he's a bonafide genius." Magma said. "Now come on, let's go and grab some breakfast ourselves before you go vegan on us."
"Hey! You know plants don't agree with my stomach!" Scar growled, as the trio left to the feeding troughs.
DK
Back in the Grand Canyon, the D-Team were so far having no luck finding the new Dinosaur. Although they had Sorow, Luckie and Sally out, it was still proving to be a difficult task to fulfil. The canyon was rocky, sandy, and also it was filled with dust.
"Boy, talk about deep canyons." Spiny said. "This is the deepest canyon I've ever been in."
"It's the ONLY canyon you've ever been in." Terry corrected.
"Any luck picking up a trail?" Brontina asked Giganto.
The Gigantosaurus sniffed the air and on the ground. "Nope." Giganto replied. "Either this Dinosaur really is a ghost or it's just really good at covering its scent."
"Either way this is gonna be a challenge to find it." Ace added.
"So we're just gonna have to keep walking until we find it?" Tank asked.
"Well we should at least be able to find some sort of sign." Rhysa said, before she stopped. "Hold up guys."
"What's up Rhysa?" Chomp asked.
"We just went from cold to warm." Rhysa said, showing the others a fresh track of footprints.
"Yeah, these tracks are fresh all right." Terry said.
"But that doesn't give us a clue on which way it went." Paris said.
Zoe was about to add her thoughts when she heard a squelching sound. Looking down she saw she had stepped in some brown stuff.
"Ew!" Zoe cringed. "I stepped in some mud!"
"Strange, I didn't know that enough water could fall into the canyon to form pools of mud." Rex said.
Rhysa took a closer look, before making her verdict. "Um, Zoe." Rhysa said. "That 'mud' you claim is actually Dinosaur poop."
"Yuck!" Zoe cried, getting her foot out of the poop and then tried to rinse her shoe with her water bottle.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha!" Tank laughed, rolling on her back. "How does it smell?!"
Rex and Ace burst into laughter along with Rhysa, her team, Terry and Chomp. Max, who was holding in his laughter and was almost about to burst out in laughter too, but a distant noise was heard by his ears and it managed to get him serious and snap out his laughter.
"Uh, guys." Max said.
After Zoe had cleaned her shoe, the team then followed Max to where the source of the noise was. Hiding behind the corner of the canyon the team then saw that the Metriacanthosaurus had managed to find a small watering hole in the canyon and was currently having a drink, before continuing his journey to his destination.
"We found the Dinosaur." Spiny said.
"A Metriacanthosaurus." Max identified.
"You're right Max, you can tell because of the small horns by its eyes." Rex added.
"And it's part of the Allosaurid family, like Allison and Sorow." Zoe said.
"Even though that it's in its own class of Metriacanthosaurid, it is often called an Allosaurid." Rhysa said.
The Metriacanthosaurus continued his drink, not acknowledging the D-Team were nearby.
"He sure looks tough." Tank whispered.
"You think we should try talking to him first?" Rex asked. "I mean, I know what Blaze and the others said, but still-"
"I don't think that's an option." Luckie said. "I can tell just by looking at him, he's been through some serious battles and I don't think he'll want to talk with us."
"Then we'll have to battle him." Terry said.
"Right." Zoe said, and was about to return Spiny to his card, but Max acted first.
"Dibs!" Max called, returning Terry to his card.
"DINO SLASH! FLAME UP TYRANNOSAURUS!"
Terry landed right in the Metriacanthosaurus' range of sight and growled, the Jurassic Carnivore looked up from his drink and snarled at his opponent.
"Hey, no fair Max, I wanted to battle him!" Zoe pouted.
"Sorry Zoe, but I just couldn't let you pull that same trick you pulled on me in Venice." Max said, before turning to his Tyrannosaurid partner. "Go for it Terry!"
"Right!" Terry roared, as he charged for the Smaller Theropod.
Up in the air, the Hybro Gang in one of their Hybro Crafts, were making their way to the canyon when they noticed the colours had changed.
"Oh, there's a battle going on somewhere." Tred said.
"Which means the brats have found the Dinosaur before us again!" Slander groaned. "I tell you, we're cursed!"
"Why can't we ever find the Dinosaurs first before them for a change?" Cursula asked, grumblingly.
"Stop your moaning and keep this thing steady!" Louisa barked. "We've gotta head for the battlefield before the brats beat us again!"
Back at the battlefield Terry charged towards the Metriacanthosaurus, with the smaller Carnivore ramming his head against his stomach stopping him, but grabbed the Metriacanthosaurus' neck and tossed him to the ground.
"Yeah, that's the way bro!" Chomp cheered.
Terry charged towards the Jurassic Theropod ready to finish the battle, but to everyone's surprise the Metriacanthosaurus then rolled sideways out of Terry's range before getting on his feet and bit down on his tail making Terry roar in pain.
"Woah, that's fast." Max gasped.
Then the Metriacanthosaurus swung Terry around by the tail and tossed him towards the wall. The Tyrant Lizard King flew towards the wall and crashed right on it.
"Oh that hurt." Terry groaned.
"The Metriacanthosaurus actually threw Terry?!" Ace asked, shocked.
"Big things come in small sizes." Paris said.
"That guy's strong." Dread said.
Sorow looked at the Jurassic Carnivore with curiosity, he couldn't explain why but something about the Theropod was familiar to him.
"Terry, can you get up?" Max asked.
"Are meat part of a Carnivore's diet?" Terry asked, rhetorically as he got back on his feet.
The Metriacanthosaurus roared and charged forward for the Tyrannosaurid and the two Theropods met in a headlock, being larger in size Terry had the advantage and started to push back. He grabbed the Allosaurid by the neck and tossed him, but the Metriacanthosaurus managed to correct himself and landed on his feet.
"Come on Terry! You're twice the Theropod he is!" Stiggy and Stigga roared.
Terry charged for the Metriacanthosaurus again and tried to snap him, but the Jurassic Dinosaur knocked him down with his tail and then jumped into the air.
"Lookout!" Brontina called.
Terry looked up to see the Metriacanthosaurus coming down and landed on Terry's stomach before head butting him in the stomach and he rolled forward a few feet.
"Maybe you should use a Move Card now Max." Rhysa suggested.
"Oh right." Max said, before picking out a card. "Blazing Spin Attack!" Terry charged with fire in his mouth before he grabbed the Jurassic Theropod and tossed him into the canyon wall. The Jurassic Carnivore fell to the ground with a roar of pain.
"I think that did it!" Luckie said.
"Way to go Terry!" Tank cheered.
But to the D-Team's surprise the Metriacanthosaurus got back up again, and roared at Terry refusing to give up.
"He still wants to fight?" Zoe asked in shock. "And he's still not getting tired?"
"Right after a direct hit from Blazing Spin Attack." Spiny cried.
"How does he still have the strength to get back up?" Giganto asked.
"This Metriacanthosaurus must've been in some serious battles." Sally said. "Some more life or death dependent than others." Sorow could only nod in agreement.
"Hit him one more time Terry!" Max called.
"You got it!" Terry roared, before charging forward.
The Metriacanthosaurus remained where he was, and didn't move a muscle. Terry, not suspecting anything, continued his charge, with the Jurassic Carnivore not taking his eyes off him. Closer and closer Terry came but then right at the very last second, the Metriacanthosaurus jumped and back flipped into the air and dodged Terry's attack.
Terry, seeing the Jurassic Carnivore had dodged him, tried to stop but his larger interior worked against him and he skidded before he hit a large boulder and fell to the floor.
"He back flipped?" Max gasped.
"Come on bro! You've gotta get up!" Chomp encouraged.
Terry tried to get up, but he was getting up slowly. The Metriacanthosaurus, seeing his opponent was almost done, prepared a Move Card. The Jurassic Carnivore roared, as a red circle appeared around him, before suddenly his teeth showed flames of them and charged towards Terry.
"Terry! Get up!" Max cried. "Hurry!"
Terry tried and tried, but he couldn't get up fast enough, once the Metriacanthosaurus was close enough he then bit his flaming teeth on Terry's neck making the Tyrannosaurus Rex roar in pain, forcing him to the ground.
"What kind of Move Card was that?" Zoe asked.
"Flame Fang!" Ace answered. "It must be the Metriacanthosaurus' Move Card!"
"And the Move's not finished yet!" Tank said.
Before anyone could ask the Saichania what she meant their attention shifted back to the battle. Once his opponent was on the floor the Metriacanthosaurus then pushed Terry with his head towards the wall Terry crashed into earlier before firing a fireball out of his mouth, the ball took the form of a Carnivore's mouth snapping its jaws and struck Terry making him collide with the wall. Once Terry crashed into the wall, he fell to the floor he tried one more time to get up, but it was in vain, he glowed red and returned to his card.
The Metriacanthosaurus roared in victory before leaving the area to find a secure place to rest after the intense battle.
"Terry!" Max cried and rushed over to pick up the card, once the Jurassic Theropod was gone.
"Terry lost." Sally said. "To a Carnivore that's smaller than him."
Max then retrieved Terry's Card and returned Terry to chibi-form, the second Terry materialised he slumped to the ground.
"Are you okay bro?" Chomp asked.
"I've been better." Terry groaned in response. "Ow, now I know how Brontikens feels every time I beat him."
"Okay what in the name of Seikatsu just happened!" Tank exclaimed. "That Metriacanthosaurus took down Terry!"
"Even with the size advantage Terry lost." Ace said. "This doesn't make any sense."
"His movements were all as agile as a Raptor's." Rex said. "He dodged all of Terry's attacks like he was a soldier in battle."
"A soldier in battle?" Sorow asked, before he briefly had a flashback to the Jurassic where a bunch of Dinosaurs were fighting an army of Sauropods and then the Metriacanthosaurus rolling, tossing and back flipping the attacks. "Wait! I remember now!"
"Huh?" Everyone else asked.
"I remember now, I've seen that Metriacanthosaurus before!" Sorow cried.
"You have?" Tracker asked.
"Yes, I've seen him before." Sorow gasped.
"Where Sorow?" Zoe asked. "Where or when did you see him?"
"He and I fought alongside each other before." Sorow said.
"When?" Rhysa asked.
"During the Great War of the Jurassic." Sorow responded.
"I sense a story coming on." Rhysa said.
"You got that right Rhysa." Sorow said. "It's a long story, so you guys might want to get comfy."
DK
Meanwhile the Hybro Gang had landed their Craft in one of the wider parts of the canyon.
"Hey the battlefield's gone." Tred said, as the trio looked around once they got out of the craft.
"I guess this means those brats beat us again." Slander said, theoretically.
"Oh well isn't that the news of the day?" Cursula groaned.
"Oh would you three just shut up?" Louisa growled. "If you look at your Hybro Scanners, you'll see that there's still a signal coming in the canyon!"
"Oh so it is." Slander said, as the three looked at their scanners.
"Now we just have to search the whole canyon in order to find it." Cursula groaned.
"This'll take a while." Tred groaned.
"Stop your whining and start your searching!" Louisa ordered, as she headed out. "We've got work to do!"
With nothing else to complain about, the trio followed Louisa into the canyon, but if they had turned around they would've noticed they had company. The Metriacanthosaurus was resting in one of the caves and the Hybro Gang hadn't even seen or heard him coming. But then again, this is the Hybro Gang, the dumbest people ever to walk the earth.

Back with the D-Team, they had found an area that was used by travellers and hikers for camping with a firepit and sat around as Sorow was about to tell them the story of the Great Jurassic War.
"So how do you know the Metriacanthosaurus, Sorow?" Max asked.
"And what's this Jurassic War you mentioned earlier?" Zoe asked.
"I'm afraid that's a bit of a long story." Sorow said. "But I'm sure we have some time." And with that Sorow began his story.
Back in the Jurassic Period before the rescue team came to save the Dinosaurs from extinction, a teenage Sorow was marching with his pack. They were currently marching to the lands up north to find food.
"My pack and I were marching towards the lands up north, in a hope to find food and water, but all we got was a nasty surprise when we got there."
The Pack arrived at the lands up north, but when they got there a startling scene awaited them. All around there were dead bodies of Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians everywhere.
"YAH!" An Ozraptor cried. "What happened here?"
"Looks like the work of a forest fire to me." An Allosaurus said.
"No, this wasn't a forest fire." The Alpha of the pack, another Saurophaganax said. "There's no burn marks on their bodies or burnt plants."
"And there's no sign of any diseases either." A Ceratosaurus said.
"But what could've done this?" Sorow asked.
"That's what I asked myself until I heard a faint voice from nearby."
"The… terrible… king… did." A voice that sounded weak and sad came.
Sorow turned and saw a Shunosaurus by his side on its final breaths.
"The Dinosaur King?" Sorow asked. "But that can't be true, the king would never do something like this."
"He did." The Shunosaurus said.
"What do you mean?" A Sinraptor asked.
"My herd and I had only arrived an hour before you guys." The Shunosaurus went on. "We arrived and saw the same scene as you, dead bodies everywhere. But then they attacked us without warning." The Sauropod then coughed up some blood. "We were no match for them, they killed my whole herd. They won't hesitate to do the same to you, you must leave now before-"
"But before the Shunosaurus could finish, a boulder was thrown out of nowhere and crushed her skull."
But then a boulder was thrown and crushed the Shunosaurus' skull, killing her instantly. The pack turned around and looked behind them to see a group of ten if not twenty Apatosauruses approaching them.
"Lookie here boys." The Captain said. "Some new playmates to play with."
"The king said kill any and all that enters our lands." One of the Apatosauruses said.
"So let's kill them!" The General Apatosaurus said, ordering the charge.
"So the Jurassic was ruled by a tyrant King?" Rex asked.
"Yes Rex, it was." Sally said. "And I remember well, I lost half of my platoon to him."
"I lost my parents as well." Luckie added. "This all happened long before we became adults."
"Yes it did, and I lost my father to him." Sorow said, before continuing.
The Apatosauruses charged for Sorow's pack, to which the pack responded by charging forward to defend themselves. The battle was very brutal, the pack managed to take four of the Sauropods down, but they were no match for them.
One of them went for Sorow, until his dad, who was also the Alpha of the pack, met the Apatosaurus in a headlock.
"Dad!!" Sorow cried.
"Run son!" The Saurophaganax cried. "Get out of here while you still have a chance!"
"But I can't leave you!" Sorow protested.
"Son listen! This is an order! You have to go now while you have the chance!" The Saurophaganax roared. "Hurry! I can't hold out much longer!"
Sorow didn't want to leave his pack but he didn't have a choice.
"It was the hardest choice I ever had to make. But I did what my dad told me to do, and I ran away, away from the Sauropods and into the unknown."
Sorow ran for his life into the jungles of the lands up north, he didn't care where he was or where he was going, all he knew was to just keep running and not look back.
"Find that kid!" A voice shouted, as three Apatosauruses chased after him.
"Oh no!" Sorow cried, and ran faster.
"Three Apatosaurs chased after me, but I didn't stop running."
Sorow ran until he saw some trees falling up ahead, he quickly manoeuvred through before the trees piled high and blocked the Sauropods path, causing them to skid to a stop.
"He's getting away!" One of them cried.
"I had thought that I had gotten away, but there were more Apatosauruses in the woods."
Sorow looked to see the Apatosauruses had been blocked and thought he had gotten away, but then he heard the sound of bellowing.
"Huh?" He pondered.
The bellowing was the sound of three more Apatosauruses, who had been patrolling and noticed the Theropod.
"We've got him now!"
The Sauropods charged, as Sorow sprinted but the Sauropods charged too fast and ended up crashing into each other.
"Woah!" Sorow cried, as he slid down a hill. He looked back and saw the Sauropods not coming after him. "Phew." He sighed in relief. "Wahoo!"
"I thought I'd be safe at the bottom of the hill, but those Sauropods were somehow one step ahead of me."
Sorow slid to the bottom, expecting to be safe, but all he found was four more Apatosauruses waiting for him.
"KILL HIM!" A General shouted.
"YAH!" Sorow cried, before sprinting away again with the Sauropods after him.
Sorow ran into the forest again, hoping to escape, but another Apatosaurus was coming his way. "AH!" Sorow screamed, when the Sauropod saw him and ran back. "DOUBLE AH!" Sorow cried, when another Apatosaurus came from behind him.
The Apatosaurus chasing him charged, but Sorow ducked and crashed into the other Apatosaurus, the two of them knocked over a tree and landed on their backs. All they could do was just watch as Sorow made his get away again.
"Oh man, that must've been scary Sorow." Paris said.
"It was, but thankfully help was on its way for me." Sorow said.
Unbeknown to the Apatosauruses, a Rhamphorhynchus was in the sky keeping an eye on the chase, then when it heard the sound of roars, it saw Sorow still being chased.
"GUYS!" It cried, flying down to a small group of Jurassic Dinosaurs, consisting of a Bellusaurus, a Eystreptuspondalys, a Weurhosaurus, a pair of Dilophosauruses, a juvenile Brachiosaurus and a Metriacanthosaurus. "I see a Saurophaganax in trouble! The King's soldiers are after him! They're near Dead End Canyon!"
"Okay, let's go and save him!" The Metriacanthosaurus said, as the group made their way to the canyon.
Back with Sorow, he was running as fast as his legs would carry him. The Sauropods had caught up with him and were now literally right on his tail.
"HELP ME!" Sorow cried.
But there was no one who could hear him. The Sauropods continued their chasing, roaring, bellowing and even growling as they closed in on the Saurophaganax.
Sorow then realised he had been chased into a trap, he was about to turn around and run, but the Sauropods big feet blocked all his exits.
"Now we've got you!" The General said. "You're trapped and there's no escape."
"Please, leave me alone!" Sorow begged.
"Sorry kid, but the King's orders are that anyone other than Apatosauruses on his land are to be executed effective immediately!" The General said. "Now any last words you want to say?"
Sorow was very scared, but then noticed something from above.
"Yes actually." Sorow said. "Watch out for those falling rocks and logs."
"What rocks and logs?" The Apatosaurus asked.
Right after he said that, a log fell right onto his back and rocks fell onto his face. Before the Apatosauruses knew what was happening, lots of rocks and logs were falling from the cliff.
"Hang on, little one!" A voice called, before a Kepodactylus swooped down and grabbed Sorow with its talons and carried him into the air.
"No, no, no!" The Apatosaurus General roared in anger as the Pterosaur carried the Theropod to the top of the cliff.
"Let's go now!" The Metriacanthosaurus called, before it and all the Dinosaurs retreated.
"Blast!" The General cursed. "He got away!"
"The King isn't going to be happy about this." One of the Apatosaurus soldiers said.
"I think he has his feet full already with that resistance." Another one said.
"The Metriacanthosaurus had saved my life that day, and after joining his group of rebels we discovered something big hidden in one of the mountains. A hidden valley where all the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians that lived in the lands up north had seeked refuge. We stayed there for a long time, waiting and training for the day an opportunity would open to take that mad king down and then many years later our opportunity came."
Several years had past and Sorow was now all grown up along with a Stegosaurus who would later be named Sally and a Ceratosaurus who would later be named Luckie along with many other Jurassic Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians were all shouting, growling and fuming at a female Apatosaurus, who would later be Bronktikens' Mother with the Metriacanthosaurus in front of her.
"All this horn proves is that they've stolen yet another thing from us!" An Afrovenator roared angrily.
"She didn't steal anything!" The Metriacanthosaurus retorted.
"Didn't steal anything!" A Megalosaurus roared. "Shout out a list of things those Apatosauruses have stolen!"
Various Dinosaurs all shouted out in anger.
"Our home!"
"Our land!"
"Our freedom!"
"Our ponds!"
"Our children!"
"Our families!"
"And what about our lives!" Were just a few of the things that were shouted.
"You'd hold her accountable for all the crimes of her Species?" The Metriacanthosaurus asked.
"Accountable!" A Piatnitzkysaurus snarled. "And unpunishable!"
"That is rich coming from you Piatnitzkysaurus!" A Tachiraptor growled. "Or have you forgotten that it was your Species that fought alongside the king before the Sauropod Tyrant?"
"And I'd gladly do it again!" The Piatnitzkysaurus replied. "If it would rid us of these monsters!"
"Then it is lucky that it's not within your power to bring him back!" A Dryosaurus called, stepping forward. "Or are you suggesting that we ask this Apatosaurus to go against us right now?"
"No!"
"We need Seikatsu!"
"She's our real goddess!" Some of the Dinosaurs shouted.
"Some of you may have forgotten." The Dryosaurus said. "But my father was the royal adviser and told me everything that I remember, that our kingdom was never right unless when the rebels had an ally of the enemy."
"But she's an Apatosaurus!" A Sinraptor snarled. "Why do we want her as our ally?!"
"Because she can help us!" The Metriacanthosaurus roared.
"What?!"
"Quiet, let's hear him speak!"
"Beyond these mountains she's a member of the royal court." The Metriacanthosaurus said. "The Apatosaurus King is wrong and ready for a dethroning, help me take him down and I know that Shikatsu can help restore our kingdom!"
"Wait a second!" Rhysa called. "Who's Shikatsu?"
"One of the most remarkable Creatures to exist alongside Seikatsu." Sorow said. "She was with Seikatsu when the Age of Dinosaurs began. And she left a special horn behind, if ever a Dinosaur needed help, they'd blow the horn and help would come from miles around. But let's get back to the story."
"It is true." A Jobaria said, stepping forward. "The time is right. I watch over the skies, for it is my former duty as the King's Captain to watch, as it is yours to remember Dryosaurus. Our goddess Seikatsu, the one who brought us life and Shikatsu our Princess of victory and peace, have come together in their high heaven. Now here, a brave Sauropod has come, to help offer us back our freedom."
"Is this possible?" A Compsognathus asked. "Do you really think that there could finally be peace? Do you? I mean really?"
"See two days ago. I didn't believe in the existence of Amphibians, or Pterosaurs or other Dinosaurs." The Apatosaurus said. "And yet here you are. In strength and numbers that we Apatosauruses could never have imagined!" Then she used her tail to hold up a horn that was shaped in a Dinosaur's head. "Shikatsu's horn is magical not, it brought us together."
"And together my friends, we'll finally have a chance to take back what is rightfully ours!" The Metriacanthosaurus said.
"Then if you will lead us." Sally said, stepping forward. "Then my friends and I." Sally then raised her tail. "Offer you our battle skills."
Then all the Dinosaurs then began showing their teeth, claws, horns, tails or whatever they used to fight with in the air.
"And we offer you our lives unreservedly." Luckie said, with a bow.
"The Apatosaurus' Army will not be far behind us sir." The Apatosaurus said.
"Then if we are to be ready for them." The Metriacanthosaurus said. "We need to find soldiers and weapons, I'm sure they'll be here soon."
"So what happened next?" Brontina asked.
"Well, after finding Seikatsu's shrine we set up our base there, but we were soon discovered by the Apatosaurus' soldiers."
All the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians quickly gathered outside Seikatsu's Shrine after hearing the word from the Compsognathus scouts that the Apatosaurus King and his entire army had arrived and began setting up camp for what could be their battle of victory.
The Metriacanthosaurus quickly called a meeting.
"So that's what our next move is?" A Rhaptodon asked. "Sending out a bunch of Dimorphodons to the lands of the exiled to find help from some Dinosaurs that might not even want to help us?"
"It's our only chance." Sorow said.
"And they're my flock's best and fastest flyers." A Dimorphodon said.
"Haven't enough of us died already?" A Eustreptospondalus asked.
"We all lost friends and family, Eustreptospondalus, but our parents had lost all hope." A Nodosaurus said. "But we haven't and neither have our kids."
"For our fallen loved ones." A Huayangosaurus said.
"For freedom." An Eoabelisaurus said.
"Then I'm going with them." The Eustreptospondalus said.
"No, you're needed here." A Proceratosaurus said.
"We have to hold them off until the Dimorphodons come back!" A Kentrosaurus said.
"But how will we get the Dimorphodons past the tyrant's lines?" The Apatosaurus asked.
"If I may." The Metriacanthosaurus said. "I know, the Apatosaurus King is a tyrant and a murderer, but as King he is subject to the expectations of his people and to the traditions of Dinosaur Culture. And we all know of one tradition in particular that my bide us the time we need."
"We're listening." Luckie said.
"So what was the plan?" Rhysa asked.
"Well, I think it's best if Luckie tells this part." Sorow said.
"Thank you Sorow." Luckie said, before continuing the story. "So the next day at dawn, a Brachiosaurus, a Shunosaurus and myself went over to the Apatosaurus King's camp with some old bones to deliver a message to him."
"Before you kids ask." Terry said. "If a Dinosaur wears or carries one of the bones of a fallen friend or herd member it means they come in peace."
The next morning Luckie, a Brachiosaurus and a Shunosaurus came walking towards the Apatosaurus' camp, where two of the soldiers and one general were watching.
"That looks like three of those rebels." One of the Apatosaurus soldiers said.
"Those fools are alone!" The second one said.
"Allow us to kill them for our glorious king!" The first one said, before they both prepared to charge.
But the General Apatosaurus stopped them by simply stepping on their tails with his front feet.
"OUCH!"
"AH!"
"Hold it, you dumbbells!" The General Apatosaurus said. "In case you haven't noticed, they walk while wearing the bones of their fallen allies. That means they come in peace."
"But sir, what do we care about that?" One of the Apatosaurus soldiers winced.
"They have a purpose in coming to see us." The General replied. "We will learn what it is before we slay them!"
"Perhaps they're ready to surrender!" The second one suggested, while trying to hold in his pain.
"No, they're far too noble for that." The General said, before turning to another Apatosaurus passing. "You, stay where you are and don't move unless I order you too."
"Why?" The Apatosaurus said.
Luckie and the two Jurassic Sauropods approached the General.
"I am to read a message to your king and in the presence of his royal council." Luckie said. "My leader has a proposal that your king might want to hear, but only if me and my two friends are unharmed."
"Hmm, very well." The General said, before "Go get the King and gather the Royal Council. Our enemies have brought an important message for him."
"Oh yes sir!" The Apatosaurus called, before heading off.
"You actually entered an enemy camp?" Tank gasped. "But they must've hurt you and your two friends!"
"No they didn't, the king accepted my terms and ordered his troops to leave us alone as long as I gave him the message." Luckie said.
"So what happened next?" Spiny asked.
After telling the Apatosaurus King, and gathering the other members of the royal council, Luckie stepped forward as the Brachiosaurus and Shunosaurus waited.
"Remember you keep your word about not harming us and I'll read you the message." Luckie reminded the Sauropod.
"Yes, yes you and your two friends shall not be harmed." The Apatosaurus King said. "Read your message, Theropod."
And Luckie did.
"I Saurophaganax, by the great Goddess Seikatsu, by the election in my quest, member of the Jurassic Resistance, the biggest Carnivore of the Jurassic and High General of the Theropod Army. In order to prevent the abominable future of blood, to hereby challenge King Apatosaurus the king of the lands up north to single combat in the field of battle, I call for a Mashindano, the Mashindano shall be do the death, the reward shall be complete and total surrender."
The Apatosaurus King didn't say anything, he thought about everything Luckie said.
"So tell me soldier Ceratosaurus."
"General." Luckie corrected.
"What?"
"It's General Ceratosaurus actually." Luckie said. "Just General though, Saurophaganax is the High General. I know it's confusing."
The Apatosaurus King just sighed before continuing. "Why would you risk such a proposal, when my army can wipe you out by nightfall?"
"Haven't you already underestimated our numbers?" Luckie asked. "I mean only a week ago, Amphibians, Pterosaurs and other Dinosaurs were thought to be extinct."
"And soon you will be again." The Apatosaurus King said.
"Well then you should have little to fear." Luckie said.
The Apatosaurus King just laughed at the Ceratosaurus. "This is not a question of bravery."
"So you're bravely refusing to fight a Predator that's half your size?" Luckie asked.
The Apatosaurus King then leaned his neck forward. "I didn't say I refused."
"You shall have our support, your majesty." One of the Councillors said. "Whatever your decision."
"Sire." The Apatosaurus King's adviser said. "Our military advantage alone provides the perfect excuse to avoid a pointless blood-"
That struck a nerve in the Apatosaurus King as he stood up and shouted. "I'm not avoiding anything!"
Luckie looked at the scene with wonder.
"I was only just pointing out that my Lord is well within his right to refuse." The Adviser said.
"His majesty would never refuse." The General said. "He relishes the chance to show the Dinosaurs the courage of their king."
"You." The Apatosaurus King said, pointing at Luckie. "You've delivered your High General's message. Now you deliver him my message. You tell your High General Saurophaganax that I agree to his Mashindano, and you should hope your friend's teeth are sharper than his sight."
Luckie just nodded and hid a smile before he, the Brachiosaurus and the Shunosaurus exited the camp. They had got them.
"Let 'em go!" The Apatosaurus King said, to his troops who were about to chase after them.
"But sire, we have them in our mitts and you just let them leave?"
"We have bigger things to prepare for." The Apatosaurus King said. "This Mashindano will mark the end of that pesky Jurassic Resistance."
"After returning to the others and telling them what the Apatosaurus King had said, we knew our plan was beginning to work." Luckie said.
"The next day, as the sun rose to its highest point, I prepared myself for the most important battle of my life." Sorow said.
The next day Sorow and Luckie exited Seikatsu's Shrine, there was a chorus of cheers and roars from all the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians as Sorow made his way to the stone field where the battle would take place.
About a few miles away the Apatosaurus Army were watching and also cheering for their king. As the Apatosaurus King and about three of his men waited for Sorow to approach the battlefield. As he did the Shunosaurus and Eoabelisaurus stood nearby ready for their back up plan just in case.
"If it should appear to be going poorly." The Apatosaurus King said, before giving his general a signal.
"Understood, your majesty." The General said.
The Apatosaurus King then stood up as soon as Sorow appeared on the opposite side of the large stone circle. Sorow bared his teeth as the other Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians cheered loudly.
The Apatosaurus King turned to his troops. "I hope my men won't be too disappointed, when I survive." With that said, the Apatosaurus King began making his way into the circle, Sorow did the same thing.
The Apatosaurus King began circling as the Dinosaurs on the higher ledge watched with uncertainty. Sorow began circling as well.
"There's still time to surrender." The Apatosaurus King said.
But Sorow just looked at him with determination. "Well feel free."
"How many more of you must die before you come to realise the inevitable?" The Apatosaurus King asked.
"Just one!" Sorow responded.
With that, that was the start of the battle. Sorow charged forward, leapt on one of the rocks and struck the Apatosaurus' side with his horns. The two then began exchanging blows one right after the other.
"While Sorow battled the Apatosaurus King, I and some Proceratosauruses made sure to get the Dimorphodons out of our secret passage in the forest so they could find the only Dinosaurs that could help us." Sally said.
As the Mashindano was going on, Sally, a group of Proceratosauruses and several Dimorphodons rushed out of the secret cave that led into Seikatsu's Shrine and into the forest.
"All right, remember Dimorphodons!" The Alpha Proceratosaurus said. "We'll make sure you get through their lines, but after that, it's up to you guys to find the only Dinosaurs that can help us win this war!"
"We'll do our best!" The Dimorphodons said.
"Hault!" A voice shouted.
"Oh no! We have company!" Sally cried.
Several Apatosauruses charged forward and began giving chase.
"They've spotted us!" The Dimorphodons gasped.
"Fly Dimorphodons!" Sally said, stopping by some pointy rocks. "I'll hold them off!"
"We're with you Stegosaurus!" The Proceratosauruses said.
The Dimorphodons didn't want to leave their friends behind, but they didn't have a choice. If they stayed with them, then they'd all be killed and all hope would be lost. Flapping their wings they flew away as fast as they could.
"Load me up!" Sally ordered.
The Proceratosauruses then pushed one of the sharp rocks onto Sally's tail. The sound of stomping feet and distance roars, as the Apatosauruses came into view.
"Fire in the hole!" A Proceratosaurus roared.
Sally then lifted her tail, and fired the sharp rock right at the Sauropod striking right in the Apatosaur's front foot. The Sauropod roared in pain before falling to the ground. The Proceratosauruses then loaded another rock, and Sally fired again resulting in another Apatosaurus falling to the ground. They kept repeating the process until there was only one left.
"More Apatosauruses will be coming soon!" Sally said. "Proceratosauruses, you must run and lead them away, I'll handle this last one!"
"Yes ma'am!" The Proceratosauruses said, before they sprinted off, with an Apatosaurus chasing them.
But before Sally could fire her last rock, the Apatosaurus coming for her knocked her down, and was about to go for the kill, but then the Metriacanthosaurus showed up just in time and grabbed the Sauropod by the tail, before tossing it into a wall, once it made contact the Sauropod's back broke.
"You alright soldier?" The Metriacanthosaurus asked, helping Sally back on her feet.
Back at the battle Sorow and the Apatosaurus King then went straight into combat, the Sauropod whaming his tail, while Sorow countered with his own tail. Followed by several headlocks or necklocks, before Sorow landed a lucky slash of his claws on the Sauropod's front foot.
They charged as Sorow dodged a neck swing, before the Apatosaurus kicked him in the face with his foot.
Luckie looked worried, the Apatosaurus whipped his tail, but Sorow dodged it just in time and lashed his teeth right onto the Sauropod's injured leg causing it to bleed.
Sorow roared and charged, but the Apatosaurus tripped him over with his neck, the Allosaurid landed on his back, but got back up. The two exchanged necklocks before Sorow was knocked down, and the Sauropod then stomped a foot down on his tail, making the Saurophaganax roar in pain.
The Eoabelisaurus and Luckie winced at it, but before the Sauropod could crush Sorow, he rolled away dodging the massive feet of the Apatosaurus. When he came to a corner, he changed his rolling direction and rolled backwards, before biting down on the Sauropod's back feet. The Apatosaurus roared in pain, since he was reared up at the time, lost his balance and crashed to the ground narrowly avoiding Sorow.
The Sauropod got back up, just then the Metriacanthosaurus and Sally came out of the forest. Sorow watched them coming, but then tried to hold in his pain.
"Does the top Carnivore of the Jurassic need a rest bite?" The Apatosaurus King asked.
"Five minutes?" Sorow asked, but winced in pain.
"Three! And not a second more!" The Sauropod replied, but then also winced in pain.
It was clear that this battle was starting to affect both of them. The combatants hobbled over to their sides for a three minute break, the Sauropod more so than the Allosaurid.
"Wait a minute!" Spiny said. "I thought that the only rule of the Mashindano was to fight on until the very end."
"Things were slightly different in this one Spiny." Sorow said. "Both myself and my opponent were tired and it was he that said it."
As the two combatants hobbled to their sides for a three minute rest, the Apatosaurus King refused assistance, but Sorow accepted Luckie helping him over, he checked with Sally.
"The Dimorphodons?" He asked.
"They got through." Sally said. "The Proceratosauruses are leading the last Apatosaurus away so he doesn't follow our Pterosaur friends. And I had some help."
"Good work Metriacanthosaurus." Sorow said.
"While they're busy." The Metriacanthosaurus said.
On the opponent's side the Apatosaurus King was a little cranky.
"I'll show one let things get that close again!" He fumed, before lying down and having a drink.
"Stegosaurus, you'd better get up there." Sorow said, pointing with his tail to where the other Stegosauruses were. "Just in case. I don't suspect the Apatosauruses will keep their word."
"Yes sir." Sally said.
Luckie turned to the others who were looking worried. "Keep smiling." He said.
As Sally made her way up to her fellow Stegosaurs, Sorow let out a proud roar, which was followed by the cheers and roars of the other Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians.
"How do they still cheer?" The Apatosaurus King asked. One of his followers was patching up his legs.
"Luck." One of his advisers said.
"But that Saurophaganax's doing extremely well." The Apatosaurus patching the King's legs said. "For his size."
"Ah!" The Apatosaurus King groaned, when the Apatosaurus using leaves to patch his wounds tied the vines too tight.
"Ah!" Sorow cried, as he laid down and the Metriacanthosaurus did a check on his tail. "I think my tail's been dislocated."
Luckie went over and found the part that the Sauropod stepped on.
"What do you think happens after this, if I die here?" Sorow said, as Luckie worked on his tail. "Ceratosaurus, thanks for being there for me when growing up, and I never got the chance to properly thank- AH!" Sorow cried, as Luckie un-dislocated his tail.
"Save it for later." Luckie said.
The two combatants then stood up ready to finish the battle, Sally had made her way to her fellow Stegosaurs and everyone watched as the fighters re-entered the arena, cheering for their respected side.
Sorow began by charging straight forward but the Sauropod blocked him with his neck, before they engaged in a headlock. They then head smashed several times with Sorow being forced into a corner. The Apatosaurus hit Sorow with his front feet twice, before hitting him with his chest.
Sorow roared in pain, he tried to counter by striking the Sauropod's neck but missed, the Sauropod then took his chance and tail whipped Sorow's face before hitting his back too, knocking the Saurophaganax to the ground.
The Apatosaurus King then reared up and prepared to crush the Allosaurid, with his front feet, but Sorow blocked them using his own feet to stop the Apatosaurus, before he used his tail and knocked the Apatosaurus' back feet into the air, resulting in the Sauropod falling to the ground again.
Sorow quickly got back on his feet and slashed his claws on the Sauropod's back, the Apatosaurus roared in pain, before getting back up and they met in a tail-lock.
Sorow then rammed the Sauropod's chest with his head several times, before going for a bite to the neck. But the Sauropod dodged and then headbutted Sorow's stomach several times. Then as the Apatosaur prepared another head smash, Sorow ducked at the last minute and lashed onto the Sauropod's neck, lashing his teeth on it hard.
The Sauropod roared in pain, before slamming Sorow to the ground, he then tackled the Saurophaganax to the corner and prepared to deal a death blow with the spike on his foot, but Sorow quickly blocked it with his horns. The Sauropod reared up to put more force on his next attack, but Sorow then used his claws on his feet and slashed the Apatosaurus King's injured back leg.
The Sauropod roared in intense pain, feeling his wound on his back leg being reopened and stumbled back before he fell on his knees, as Sorow advanced towards him. The Apatosaurus had raised his tail up like he was calling for a break.
"Now's not the time for chivalry Saurophaganax!" Luckie called.
Sorow just looked at his opponent on his knees, as the Apatosaurus King's soldiers all looked on wondering if their king had fallen. Sorow just walked away from the Sauropod, as his troops looked at him. The Sauropod didn't want his people to see he was weak, so ignoring the pain in his leg he charged for Sorow.
"Lookout!" Luckie called.
Sorow turned around just in time, to see the Sauropod rearing up before slamming his feet down, he dodged just in time and then leapt onto the Sauropod's back and then delivered a massive bite. The Apatosaurus roared in pain, feeling his weak spot being bitten.
Sorow jumped off his back, as the mighty Sauropod stumbled to his knees, by now blood was leaking out of his wound on his back leg, he was truly about to lose the Mashindano. But Sorow didn't go in to deliver the final blow.
"What's the matter Saurophaganax?" The Apatosaurus King asked. "Too cowardly to take a life?"
"It's not mine to take." Sorow answered.
Sorow then turned to the Metriacanthosaurus, and motioned for him to come forward. The Smaller Allosaurid did so, and stood in front of the fallen king ready to do the death blow as everyone watched.
"Perhaps I was wrong about sparring you." The Apatosaurus King said, as the Theropod opened his mouth. "Maybe you do have the makings of a Tyrannical King like me after all."
The Apatosaurus King then readied himself for the end. "RAR!" The Metriacanthosaurus roared, bringing himself down towards the Sauropod's neck and then closing it before making contact.
The Sauropod looked up, before seeing the Theropod looking at him. "I'm not like you." The Carnivore said, everyone looked at him. "You keep your life, but you and your entire army must leave the north lands and never return!"
With that the Carnivore walked back to his friends, as all the Dinosaurs cheered and roared for their victory.
"Sounds like you solved something without it resulting in a knockout drag out battle slogfest." Zoe said.
"Not exactly Zoe." Sorow said. "Because the King refused to accept defeat."
The Apatosaurus King stood up as his followers arrived.
"You know what to do." The King said.
The General nodded before using his tail to stab a sharp rock in the King's side, causing him to roar in pain. The roar got Sorow, Luckie and the others attention, the Sauropod King stumbled before noticing the rocks up on the ledge by the Stegosaurs.
"Treachery!" The King shouted, as he walked. "Treachery! They shot me! They planned to murder me!"
The General and Captain headed back to their side with the King following, as Sorow and Luckie turned to the others.
"Be ready!" Sorow called.
"Saurophaganax!" The Metriacanthosaurus called.
Sorow turned around to see one of the Apatosaurus soldiers coming for him, they engaged in a headlock, before Sorow slashed his front legs, and then shoved him to the floor, where his neck hit a rock, breaking it in the process.
"Go!" Sorow called.
Quickly the Jurassic Creatures took their stances, the Eoabelisaurus hurried back to the group, while the Metriacanthosaurus stood by the temple entrance.
"Justice for our king!" The Captain roared. "We fight to destroy them all!"
The massive Apatosaurus army all roared in agreement, they were going to battle.
"Fire the boulders!" The King ordered. "Kill their pitiful little army!"
The biggest Apatosauruses who were at the back, stood next to piles of boulders that juvenile Apatosauruses rolled towards them, then they picked them up with their tails and launched them into the air. The boulders crashed down near Seikatsu's Temple, and also where some of the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians were standing.
But what the Apatosauruses didn't know was that there were more Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians underground, waiting in the tunnels for the signal and hearing the boulders crashing above them.
Sorow and Luckie stood by the stone pillars watching the boulders coming down and waiting for the Sauropods to make the first attack.
The King then gave the command. "Begin the assault!"
The General nodded. "FRONT LINE!" He called to the first thousand Apatosauruses. "ATTACK!"
The General charged, followed by the front line of Apatosauruses, the massive Sauropods roared and charged forward as the boulders were still being launched.
Seeing them coming gave Sally the signal. "Stegosaurs to the ready!" Sally called, as all the Stegosaurs then lowered their tails, and Proceratosauruses then loaded up sharp rocks on their tails.
"Your little resistance ends here!" The General roared, as he led the charge and that was when Sorow gave the Metriacanthosaurus and Shunosaurus the signal.
The Shunosaurus then followed the Metriacanthosaurus into the temple and they arrived where all the Creatures that were still in the temple were waiting.
"DINOSAURS!" The Metriacanthosaurus roared, as he turned around. "FOR FREEDOM! CHARGE!"
The Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians didn't need to be told twice as they followed the Theropod with a torch in his mouth down one of the tunnels.
The foolish Apatosauruses had no idea that while they were charging towards the temple, the Metriacanthosaurus and all the other Creatures were charging in a tunnel that went under their foes path, as a Sinraptor gave a loud shriek.
Which was heard by Sorow. "One, two," Sorow counted, above ground.
"Three, four," The Metriacanthosaurus counted, while charging underground.
"Five, six," Sorow kept counting, as the boulders still rained down.
As the Sauropods kept getting closer, Sally and the Stegosaurs got ready to fire.
"Take your aim!" Sally instructed, as they all got into launching positions.
"Stay with it!" A Tougjianosaurus called.
The Apatosauruses got closer and closer.
"Seven, eight, nine." Sorow counted, before he shouted. "GET READY!"
In the tunnels, the Metriacanthosaurus and his teams were now directly under the Apatosauruses path.
"NOW!" The Theropod roared.
The Shunosauruses, Brachiosauruses and Ankylosaurs then started using their clubbed tails, or strong necks in the Brachiosauruses case, and started smashing the pillars that kept the ground up, they kept charging as Allosauruses, Megalosauruses and Torvosauruses also used their tails to weaken other pillars too.
The Apatosauruses kept charging and charging until they began to notice the ground beneath them cracking.
"Hey what's happening?"
"What the?"
"Where's the ground going?!"
As the Jurassic Creatures got out of the area in the cave just in time they had destroyed, all the pillars in the ceiling began collapsing and with no ceiling the ground on the surface would cave in and no ground meant by the time the Apatosauruses figured out what was going on, it was too late.
With the ground very weak and unstable, the Apatosauruses tried to stop, but their large interiors worked against them and half of the front line was already in the collapsing ground area.
"AH!" The ones on the weak ground cried as they fell to the ground.
The troops charging behind the front began to push their fellow Sauropods into the pit, the ones that weren't pushed or hadn't fallen in were in a great state of panic. This was the signal for Sally and the Stegosaurs.
"NOW!" Sally shouted, and then all the Stegosaurs fired their sharp rocks into the air.
As they were flying, some of them got knocked away by the boulders, but a majority of them were right on target. As the Apatosauruses that had fallen into the pit tried to climb out, they were struck right in their backs, chests or front feet with the rocks. Some of the Apatosaurs fell to the ground and broke their backs, others just simply fell to the ground, as they were dead.
The Creatures chance had finally come, as Luckie roared loudly and charged, Sorow gave everyone the order.
"CHARGE!" Sorow roared, as the Creatures charged with some of the Stegosaurs coming down from the ledge to join in, some more Creatures were coming out of the temple's main entrance. A Coelurus roared.
Underground the Metriacanthosaurus and his group made it to one of the tunnels openings, a pair of Ozraptors slashed the vines and a way out to the surface was opened, the Metriacanthosaurus dropped his stick and led the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians outside.
The tunnel led to right behind the rear of the Sauropods, as two other tunnels opened and lots of Jurassic Creatures charged out of them.
"CHARGE!" The Metriacanthosaurus roared, leading everyone to the surprised Sauropods.
The Apatosauruses gasped, they were surrounded and there was no escape. Sorow roared loudly as he grabbed the neck of an Apatosaurus and snapped it, before kicking another one back into the pit.
The Metriacanthosaurus ducked a neck swing from one Apatosaurus and rammed the next one, before biting down on its neck, resulting in killing it.
A Brachiosaurus then grabbed an Apatosaurus and chucked her right into the pit, as the Sauropod roared in surprise.
Luckie using his quick thinking, grabbed sharp rocks and then launched them at the Sauropod's eyes blinding the Apatosauruses, as an Ozraptor pounced on a juvenile and killed it.
Another juvenile tried to climb out of the pit, but a Piatnitkysaurus knocked it back down into the pit.
The Apatosaurus Captain had almost climbed out, before seeing a Compsognathus.
"You, you, you're a Compy."
"You guys have no imagination!" The Little Carnivore roared, before biting the Sauropod's neck.
Sorow tossed another Apatosaurus to the ground, and then crushed its neck but his focus shifted to the King.
"I'm tired of playing these games with those weaklings!" He roared. "Captain, send up more soldiers!"
"How many sir?"
"ALL OF THEM!" Was the King's reply.
"All forces! ADVANCE!" The Captain ordered, before leading the rest of the Apatosaurus soldiers towards the battle, as the ones at the rear continued to fire boulders.
The Metriacanthosaurus signalled for a group of Pterodactylus, who were carrying some Dilophosaurus that were preparing to throw some sharp rocks at them. But the Sauropods were already prepared, the juveniles then threw some sharp rocks of their own and up into the air, striking the Pterosaurs wings, resulting in them crashing down to the ground.
"Where are they?" Sorow wondered.
Nobody knew, as the rest of the Apatosauruses marched forward, to destroy the rest of the Jurassic Creatures. Sorow made a decision.
"Back to the Temple!" He roared.
The Metriacanthosaurus roared, sounding the retreat. "Fall back!"
The Jurassic Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians quickly retreated to the entrance, but it didn't go unnoticed by the Apatosaurus King.
"CUT OFF THEIR ESCAPE!" He ordered. "DON'T LET THEM GET AWAY!"
The boulder launching Apatosauruses then changed their aim and fired their boulders directly towards the entrance to Seikatsu's Shrine. The Jurassic Creatures hurried as fast as they could, but the boulders began hitting the mountain.
"Brace yourselves!" Sally called.
Everyone hurried back to the entrance of the Shrine, but sadly just before the first Creatures could get inside, the entrance collapsed and was blocked up by fallen debris. The Creatures gasped, they were now trapped and there was no way for them to get back into the shrine.
If that weren't bad enough the ledge where Sally and the remaining Stegosaurs began to collapse, as Sally slipped but a Eustreptuspondalus grabbed her by the tail.
Sorow and the Metriacanthosaurus watched as the Theropod tried to pull Sally up, but lost his grip and Sally fell down, but luckily she managed to land her front feet on the rocks without doing it awkwardly.
Turning around, they now saw that the Apatosauruses had surrounded them on all sides, as some of the Creatures began fighting them off, seeing they were now and truly boxed in, they knew what they were going to do.
The Apatosaurus King smiled, seeing his army had finally cornered them. "Kill them all." He said darkly.
But the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians were not ready to give up. If they were going down, they were going down fighting. Roaring they charged forward to help their friends and families fight off the threat. Sorow kicked one Apatosaur down, Luckie stabbed a juvenile with his horn and the Metriacanthosaurus back flipped while dodging two tail swots and then clamped his jaws down on another adult Apatosaurus.
"Oh man, that must've been a tight spot." Rhysa said. "But you guys must've won, I mean you're still here to tell the story, what happened next?"
"As we were continuing to battle the enemy, our friends in the forest were still on their quest." Sorow said.
Back in the forest, the Proceratosauruses were still running from the Apatosaurus that was still behind them. The Sauropod was starting to catch up with the little Theropods, until the Alpha saw something moving in the distant trees, something big. Then right before they knew it, a Diplodocus suddenly came crashing through the trees, the Theropods skidded to a stop seeing the massive Sauropod in front of them.
The Sauropod roared and the Theropods got into attack positions. But instead of attacking them, the Jurassic Giant stepped over them, and smacked the charging Apatosaurus right in the face with its neck. The Apatosaurus roared in pain, before the Diplodocus then slammed its front feet on the smaller Sauropod's back.
The Proceratosauruses watched as the Apatosaurus then fell lifelessly to the ground. The Diplodocus then turned to the Theropods.
"So you're the ones that the Dimorphodons said needed help." The Diplodocus said.
"Yes we are." The Alpha Proceratosaurus said. "Thank you for helping us, we were getting tired."
"Alpha, the Dimorphodons must've reached the Forbidden Lands!" One of the Females said.
"Wait, if one of you Diplodocuses are here, then where are the rest of the massive Sauropods?" A younger female asked.
"Don't worry, the Dimorphodons told us the whole thing." The Diplodocus said. "I told the others to help your friends, while I went to save you guys."
"Then they're on their way to help our friends?!" The Alpha asked.
"Yes indeed, but we must hurry to the river." The Diplodocus said, gesturing for the Small Theropods to climb on her back. "The Dimorphodons went to get a few more friends for those treacherous Apatosauruses."
With a low roar the Diplodocus began making her way to the river with the Proceratosauruses on her back.
Back at the battle things were starting to go poorly for the Jurassic Creatures. A Dryosaurus was about to be crushed by an Apatosaurus when the Metriacanthosaurus threw a sharp rock with his tail and stabbed the Sauropod making it fall.
Sally then swung her tail, striking some juvenile Apatosaurs with her thagomizers. But the situation was getting dire, as the Apatosauruses just kept coming at them from all sides and more of the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians were getting killed. The battle raged on, as Luckie quickly snapped one Apatosaurus' neck before attacking another one.
Some Compsognathuses then ran in between the legs of the Sauropods and attempted to bite them, injecting their venom to paralyse them. But everyone was getting tired.
The Metriacanthosaurus clashed against an adult Apatosaurus, but was struck by another one, neck swinging him, and he fell into the pit.
A male Jobaria and some Yangchuanosauruses roared as they headed for one line of Apatosauruses and attacked them, the Smaller Sauropod and the Theropods jumped and attacked their foes aiming for their necks.
Sorow watched as he could tell everyone was getting tired and it would only be a matter of time before they were overwhelmed and then slayed. But he kept fighting dodging one tail swing and engaged in a headlock with another Apatosaurus.
In the pit the Metriacanthosaurus had survived the fall, but looked up and saw one of the adult Apatosauruses rearing up and preparing to crush his whole body. The Theropod then fell silent as the Sauropod gave him his last taunt.
"You all fought well." The Apatosaurus said. "But the resistance is over, we've won."
But then just before he could crush the Metriacanthosaurus, a whip-like tail appeared out of nowhere, wrapped around the Apatosaur's tail and pulled him up before slamming him down hard, killing him.
"Yah!"
"Not them!"
"Runaway!"
The Metriacanthosaurus looked up and saw Apatosauruses in the pit leaving their battles and running away, or seeing some above him being thrown to the ground hard and roaring in pain.
Sorow helped him out of the pit, and there all the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians saw why the Apatosauruses were running away. Thousands of Massive Jurassic Sauropods, consisting of Seismosaurus, Supersaurus, Diplodocus, Amygdalodon, Australodocus and more all throw the Apatosauruses with their necks, tails and feet.
"WHAT THE!" The Apatosaurus King gasped, both in anger at his troops running away and in surprise when the Gigantic Sauropods bigger than him came out of nowhere.
The Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians then all knew where the massive Sauropods had come from.
"The Dimorphodons did it!" Sorow cheered, as the Creatures of the Jurassic all roared in relief, help had finally arrived.
The boulders were still being fired into the air, one of them hit a Dreadnoughtus right in the stomach when it was reared up. The Sauropod roared in pain, before another boulder smashed his stomach forcing him to fall to the ground, just narrowly avoiding crushing anyone.
The other Sauropods were furious, before they raised their tails into the air before slamming them down hard on the floor, causing cracks in the earth to open, the cracks went right for the Apatosauruses still launching boulders. When the cracks reached the boulder launching Sauropods, they cracked open, resulting in the Sauropods to fall into deep trenches as the boulder piles then followed and crushed the Sauropods spines in the process.
The Dinosaurs all roared and cheered at the event they were seeing, the tide had finally turned in their favour, years of running away from the Apatosauruses and now the Apatosauruses were running away from them. Sorow gave the word.
"FOR FREEDOM!" Sorow roared, and everyone charged after the fleeing Sauropods.
The Apatosaurus King was angry as his troops were fleeing past him. "NO! COME BACK AND FIGHT YOU COWARDS!" The King roared. "I ORDER YOU TOO!"
"SIRE!" The Captain cried as he ran up. "We can't defeat them here, but we can beat them, if we draw them to the river! We must redrew!"
"Oh, very well!" The King agreed begrudgingly, before sounding the word. "TO THE RIVER!"
All the Apatosauruses then abandoned their positions and turned around with the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians chasing after them.
The Apatosaurus army led by their King in the retreat all reached the river that went down by the coast and led to the sea. The Sauropods all began entering when the King stopped, which in turn made all the others stop.
On the other side were the Dimorphodons, the Proceratosauruses and the Diplodocus that had saved them. Sorow, Sally, Luckie, the Metriacanthosaurus and all the others arrived right behind the Apatosauruses boxing them into the water.
Then the sound of footsteps were heard, and their by the Diplodocus' side came someone that looked like Seikatsu, but had some differences, the main ones being her hair was coloured red, yellow, white, green, blue and purple, she had a scar on her cheek and she had long blonde hair that shone in the sun.
The Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians were speechless, and they instantly recognised the figure, it was Shikatsu. But the Apatosaurus King didn't, he was enraged and wanted to kill anyone that got in his way to the other side.
"YAH!" He signalled the charge, and all the Apatosauruses charged into the water, but that was what Shikatsu wanted.
"ROAR!" Shikatsu suddenly roared loudly.
The Apatosauruses suddenly stopped, and realised that the water in the river was suddenly getting higher, but also started getting saltier. Before any of the Sauropods could think what was happening, it happened. Suddenly monstrous roars were heard, and then swimming towards the Apatosauruses was a giant gang of Liopleurodons.
"Look lads." The Leader said. "Me see a feast in front us."
"We eat boss?" One asked.
"We eat." Was the reply. "Liopleurodons! FEAST ATTACK!"
The Liopleurodons roared before attacking the Apatosauruses, who all roared in terror before they started getting attacked, the Marine Reptiles grabbed their legs and then pulled them underwater to drown them. Other Marine Reptiles like Pliosaurus, Gallardosaurus and others joined the feast.
The Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians all watched as the Sauropods all struggled against the Marine Predators but failed and an hour later the Apatosaurus King was then killed and the Crown was brought back up to the surface by a Liopleurodon, who would later be Tide.
When the final Apatosaurus had fallen, the Marine Predators returned to the ocean, with full stomachs and happy attitudes, as the water in the river went back to normal. The Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians then all bowed to Shikatsu.
"Rise Creatures of the Jurassic." Shikatsu said, as everyone except the Apatosaurus female did. "All of you."
The female did. "But I don't think I really am."
"It's the very reason I know you are a true Jurassic Dinosaur." Shikatsu said. "You have helped to put an end to this war and now peace can be in the Jurassic once again."
All the Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs and Amphibians all cheered, squawked and roared loudly, they had finally won and now peace could finally return to the Jurassic Period again.
The D-Team were speechless after hearing of the war in the Jurassic.
"What happened after that?" Rhysa asked.
"After the Apatosaurus Army was killed, Shikatsu used her power to heal the land and restore all our Species back to a normal population state." Sorow said. "And hoped that another king wouldn't make the same mistake."
Before anyone could ask anymore questions, the sound of a roar was heard before a battlefield appeared.
"Oh shoot, Hybro Gang!" Ace gasped.
"They must've found the Dinosaur!" Zoe cried.
"Come on, let's go!" Rhysa said, before the whole team sprinted off.
DK
At the battle the Hybro Gang had indeed found the Metriacanthosaurus and currently had out Kaolinite, Morgana, Commander Slaughter and Kron to battle the Jurassic Theropod.
"What great luck to have cornered our Dinosaur to a dead end." Cursula snickered.
"And the walls are too steep and high for him to jump and escape." Tred added.
"Which gives us the unfair advantage." Slander smirked. "And that's just how we like to play."
"Yeah, he's trapped and can't get away." Louisa said. "So all he can do is battle and prepare to lose.
But Louisa was wrong. The Metriacanthosaurus started glowing too, but red as in a dimension of fire, a circle of fire appeared around the Metriacanthosaurus as a bright red circle appeared on his forehead, fire then came bursting out of his sides as one red circle appeared on either side of him, then the one on his forehead shone brightly as shoulder blade red coloured armour appeared on his shoulders on each side, as more armour appeared on his sides working its way down from his front to his tail, finally armour appeared on his forehead like a helmet, the Metriacanthosaurus roared at the sky as he swung his head around and posed as fire erupted all around the dimension.
"Even with an Element Booster, he'll still lose." Louisa said. "Go get him guys! Show no mercy!"
The four Hybro Gang Dinos charged, but the Metriacanthosaurus ducked and tail whacked them. The four crashed to the ground. "That was a hard hit." Kaolinite said. "How do we take him down without hurting ourselves?"
"And without him hurting us?" Kron asked.
The Metriacanthosaurus roared loudly, he tossed Kaolinite to the ground, before doing the same to Kron. Morgana roared before she charged for the Allosaurid, before she reared up and attempted to crush him, but the Metriacanthosaurus intercepted and rammed his head on her belly. The two struggled to overcome the other, but the Jurassic Theropod shoved the Cretaceous Sauropod to the ground.
"Okay, how about we do a little Aqua Javelin!" Louisa called, activating a Water Move Card for Commander Slaughter.
But the Metriacanthosaurus was ready to counterattack, glowing red, the Metriacanthosaurus summoned a lava pool in front of him, before roaring and the lava then circled around him before being launched at the Aqua Javelin before the water was extinguished and the Alpha Irritator was struck hard.
"That was Lava Storm!" Tred gasped.
The Metriacanthosaurus roared before glowing red again, as Commander Slaughter braced herself for more lava. But instead of lava or fire appearing from a red glow appeared three Smaller Theropods. The Theropods looked alot like Terry, Dancer, Big Gorgan and Typhoon, with the physical build, but they had three fingers instead of two. Their body colours were emerald green, with their backs having light brown stripes going all the way down their tails, their underbellies were red and they had yellow bumps all along their backs. These Dinosaurs were Eotyrannuses.
Once summoned the Metriacanthosaurus roared at them, telling them to armour up. The Eotyrannuses glowed too, but red as in a dimension of fire, a circle of fire appeared around the Eotyrannuses, as a bright red circle appeared on each of their foreheads, fire then came bursting out of their sides as one circle appeared on either side of them, then the ones on their foreheads shone brightly, as suddenly shoulder blade red coloured armour appeared on their shoulders on each side, as more armour appeared on their sides working there way down from their fronts to their tails, finally armour appeared on their foreheads like helmets, the Eotyrannuses roared at the sky as they swung their heads around and posed as fire erupted all around the dimension.
"Eotyrannuses!" Louisa gasped.
Once their armour was on, the three Early Tyrant Lizards charged for the Alpha Spinosaurid, they knocked Commander Slaughter to the ground, before they began jumping on her side, after about five times, they jumped off and then headbutted the Alpha Dinosaur very hard together before the Alpha was defeated.
"Hey, that Move Card's Dawn Tyrants!" Slander said.
Before anyone could react, the Metriacanthosaurus roared before activating Lava Storm again, the attack struck Kaolinite first, then Kron and finally Pollute, the three Clones fell to the floor before they were defeated.
"No, we've been beaten!" Cursula said. "We've lost this one!"
"No we haven't." Louisa said.
"Looks that way to me." Rhysa said, as she and the D-Team showed up. "That Metriacanthosaurus has defeated some of your most powerful Dinosaurs. So run off back home now."
"That's where you're wrong!" Louisa said. "I have yet to play our trump card!"
"HYBRO SLASH! BURN THEM UP ACROCANTHOSAURUS! ALPHA TECTOR ON!"
The second Inferno appeared, the canyon changed to a Time Warp, but this time they were sent to a very volcanic area surrounded by lava pools and geysers. Inferno roared before charging for the Metriacanthosaurus.
"Get them Inferno!" Louisa ordered.
"With pleasure!" Inferno chuckled.
Inferno charged for the Metriacanthosaurus, as the Eotyrannuses got in front of him, the Alpha Acrocanthosaurus roared as a volcano erupted.
"Hey Giganto, let's show Inferno he's messing with the wrong Dinosaurs!" Rhysa said.
"Oh yeah, it's fighting time!" Giganto roared, as he was recalled.
"DINO SLASH! GIGANTOSAURUS! IT'S FIGHTING TIME! DINO TECTOR ON!"
Inferno chucked the three Eotyrannuses aside before engaging the Jurassic Theropod in a headlock. But by now the Metriacanthosaurus was starting to show signs of struggling, fighting against Terry and the Hybro Gang had started to wear him down. Giganto charged, but like a ninja, Inferno first knocked the Metriacanthosaurus down with his tail before breathing a Fire Blaster in Giganto's face.
"Oh please, you're just as weak as Brontikens!" Inferno mocked, before using Neck Crusher. Giganto was chucked into the air before Inferno slammed his tail on his neck and Giganto crashed near one of the lava pools.
"Giganto!" The D-Team cried.
"That takes him out." Inferno said, confidently. "And now for you." Inferno said, turning to the downed Metriacanthosaurus and Eotyrannuses.
"We can't let the Hybro Gang get that card!" Rex cried.
"But what can we do Rex?" Max asked. "None of our Move Cards are strong enough to take down Inferno, and I can't summon Terry 'cause he's still too tired from his fight earlier."
It was then Rhysa noticed a Move Card by her feet. "Hey, what's this?" Rhysa asked, picking it up. She looked at it closely and noticed that there was something different about this Move Card. It didn't have Dinosaurs, or Pterosaurs, or Marine Reptiles or any other Creatures from the Mesazoic time. But seeing Inferno getting closer to the Metriacanthosaurus she decided to try it. "Please help us!"
Giganto roared as he glowed rainbow, and then six medium sized Creatures appeared. The Creatures that were summoned were Carnivorous, but they weren't much bigger than a Raptor, but still considered big to us humans. Their bodies were coloured very light green, their underbellies were yellow, and their backs had very big sails that were coloured light orange with brown markings at the top, stopping at the middle where the same green as their bodies, their faces had a brown patch over their eyes, with one of them having a scar on its face. These Creatures weren't Dinosaurs at all, but they were of the Synapsid Species. These Synapsids were Dimetrodons.
"Help us please!" Giganto said. "Attack the pink Dinosaur. He's the enemy!"
"Come on boys!" The Dimetrodon with the scar on its face said. "Let's get 'em!"
"Yes ma'am!" The other Dimetrodons roared, before they charged.
"Hey, what are those things?" Spiny asked.
"Wait! Are those Dimetrodons?" Rex asked.
"Well whatever they are, they're going for Inferno!" Chomp said.
Inferno approached the downed Theropods and prepared to use his Fire Blaster on them, until he heard the sound of running feet. Turning around he saw the Dimetrodons heading straight for him. He used Fire Blaster, but the Dimetrodons jumped to the side dodging it, before their sails began glowing.
"Attack!" The Alpha Dimetrodon roared.
The Dimetrodons then all jumped into the air with their sails glowing before the tips of their sails gained blades like the end of a saw, and then they slashed Inferno's side three times. The Alpha Acrocanthosaurus roared in pain before crashing to the ground, once the Dimetrodons landed their sails reverted back to normal, before they roared and charged for Inferno, they struck the Alpha with their teeth before he crashed into a boulder.
"Wait a minute!" Louisa gasped. "She used Dimetro Deadly Assault!"
"Nice work Dimetrodons, now to finish him off!" Rhysa said. "Ultimate Rainbow!"
Inferno's reflexes were too slow for Giganto's attack as he was struck by Ultimate Rainbow, the Metriacanthosaurus then got up and jumped into the air and smacked Inferno with his tail sending him right for the Hybro Gang.
"AH!" The quartet cried, before they tried and failed to get out of the way and Inferno landed on top of them, flattening them and carding himself in the process.
"We're flattened again." The flattened villains moaned, before the wind blew them away and the Time Warp reversed itself.
"Now Giganto, Rainbow Kick!" Rhysa called.
Giganto jumped into the air as his right foot glowed rainbow, before he kicked the Metriacanthosaurus in the stomach. The Theropod fell to the ground as the Dimetrodons tossed him using their heads towards the canyon wall. The Allosaurid crashed right into the wall and returned to his card, and the Eotyrannuses returned to their card as well.
"All right!" Rhysa cheered. "Way to go Giganto and Dimetrodons!"
Rex picked up the four cards and the two Element Boosters. "We got another Dinosaur safe from the Hybro Gang."
The Dimetrodons then approached Rex, while also looking at the crown he wore. "Your Majesty." The Dimetrodon leader said, before bowing and his group did the same.
"Wait, you recognise my Father's Crown?" Rex asked. "But how, you're Synapsids."
"It was your Father's decision." The Dimetrodon replied. "You see when that monster Dr.Wu brought us and several other Permian Creatures onboard the time machine he planned to torture us."
"But your father Dr. Ancient managed to find us and set us free." Another Dimetrodon said. "Since we weren't Dinosaurs, the rest of them didn't welcome us, but your Father accepted us and allowed us to stay in the herd."
"He made sure we had the lessons we needed and helped us to develop the ability to talk." The Dimetrodon behind the Leader said. "We were forever in his debt that we swore we'd help and protect him for the rest of our lives."
"But now we can see he's passed the duty of King onto you." The Dimetrodon leader said. "We swear on our honour as Synapsids to remain loyal to you Dinosaur King."
"Please just call me Rex." Rex said. "And after what you did today, you six have the hearts of Dinosaurs. How would you like to join our herd as Honorary Dinosaurs?"
The Dimetrodons beamed with excitement. "Yes Rex, that would be the best thing ever!"
"Very well." Rex said.
DK
Once they returned to the D-Lab, and after getting Metri the Metriacanthosaurus, along with Ien, Teen and Blake the three Eotyrannuses acquainted with the herd, Rex then made an announcement.
"And I would like to see that Dime, Scars, Denn, Naba, Sango and Kila are treated the same as you all treat the Amphibians please." Rex said. "My father welcomed them so we should too."
A chorus of agreeing roars was heard from everyone. "Then Dinosaurs, welcome Dime, Scars, Denn, Naba, Sango and Kila! The Honorary Dinosaurs!"
"Dimetrodons! Dimetrodons! Dimetrodons! Dimetrodons!" The herd cheered.
After the day was done the D-Team went home for the night, but Rhysa meanwhile was about to exit the D-Lab, when she heard Mufasa's voice coming from the other room. Rhysa knew she shouldn't eavesdrop, but her curiosity got the best of her.
"I can't let her know about this." Mufasa said. "If she knew what this text meant then we'd all be in danger, especially her. I mustn't tell her and have to lie to Rhysa." With that Mufasa left the room.
When Rhysa heard no more footsteps, she entered and saw the piece of paper with the ancient text was in the trash. She pulled it out and was now worried.
"What's Mufasa hiding from me? Why won't he tell me what this text means?" Rhysa thought to herself. "I guess I'll just have to find out on my own."
DK
"I'm telling you, you were the best thing to put an end to that tyrant." A voice said.
"Hmm?" A young Brontikens asked, as he woke up.
"I know, all thanks to you, that tyrant has finally been dethroned." Another voice said.
Brontikens wondered what was going on, so ever so quietly he got up, quietly walked around his siblings sleeping and out to where the voices were coming from. When he saw his mother talking to some other Dinosaurs at the watering hole at night. The Young Apatosaurus stayed hidden in the bushes and listened in.
"We had all lost hope that all the Apatosauruses had forgotten about her." A Eustreptospondylus said.
"But then you came and now we finally have our freedom!" A Dryosaurus cheered.
"Yes, but keep your voices down please." Brontikens' Mother said. "My children are sleeping."
"So when they get older are you gonna tell them?" A Stegosaurus asked. "You know 'bout the war?"
"No, I can't."
"But why not?" A Sinraptor asked.
"I just can't tell my young ones that, ever." Brontikens' Mother said. "If they ever knew about the war, they might make the same mistake that he did."
"We understand." An Allosaurus said. "We'll keep it quiet."
"And we won't tell your kids anything." A Stegosaurus added.
"Thanks everybody." Brontikens' Mother said. "I want them to grow up and be kind, so they can protect everyone. The one good thing I learnt from that awful war, is that strength is kindness, it doesn't matter how big or small you are, strong or weak, ill or injured. Everyone can survive if we all work together."
Brontikens then woke up from his dream, he was a little shaken and looked at reflection in the water trough that Welga brought him earlier.
"She's wrong, strength doesn't come from being kind or anything like that. The world is a cruel and unforgiving place, where only the strong survive and the weak ones all fade away." Brontikens said, before he slammed his tail on the ground. "I must get stronger, I have to! I don't know how Inferno knows my past, but I will make him suffer if it's the last thing I do! And I WILL become the Dinosaur King, and make sure we Dinosaurs have the world back in our feet!"
DK
Back at the D-Lab everyone continued to welcome Metri, the Eotyrannuses and Dimetrodons into the Herd.
Rhysa then pulled out her camera and started recording everyone welcoming Metri, the Eotyrannuses and the Dimetrodons into the Herd.
"Now that we've saved Metri the Metriacanthosaurus, Ien, Teen and Blake the Eotyrannuses who are the Dawn Tyrants Move Card and Dime, Scars, Denn, Naba, Sango and Kila the six Dimetrodons who are the Dimetro Deadly Assault Move Card, we've rescued a total of 157 different Dinosaurs! But we can't stop there, we've still got tons more rescues to do!"
Next Time in Dinosaur King:
Gigas: We need to cheer the guy up. I can almost barely recognise him
Armatus: I have an idea!
Brontikens: What is this?
Armatus: Welcome, Brontikens. Prepare for an evening-
Maximus: It's only one P.M
Armatus: Afternoon of raiding dungeons and slaying Dragons!
Louisa: There's gotta be a way we can get the next card before they do. I've got it!
A/N: Wow, now that was a long chapter. I know this isn't expected of me, as I usually try and keep chapters about up to 30 pages long, but reading Drew's latest chapter of his story Too Few Elephants, I wanted to try my fingers at it and go beyond 30 pages.
Now before you ask me Drew, who the hell is Shikatsu, all will be explained in later chapters, just be patient and try not to be too mad as the story goes on from here.
Also I should say this now before I forget, when I get to the Friends To the End, the Christmas chapter I mentioned in No Free Lunch will be next, as I want to spread the story out a little more than just in a year in the storyline and go on with the cards continuing to show up.
The Apatosauruses chasing a younger Sorow is linked to the Land Before Time TV Series episode The Brave Longneck Scheme, and as for the flashback scenes all come from one of my favourite movies,
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. When comparing my idea with some scenes from the film and the battle, it made sense for me to try and interpret some scenes from the film and rewrite others for the story to make sense.
Now as for the bit with Brontikens at the end, well the answers of that will come in later chapters.
But I'm pleased to say this chapter's all done and just in time before Christmas is over. Merry Christmas everyone and see you all in the next chapter.
