- Chapter 13: Memories Surprises -
At the underground car park in U.A, a dark blue car moved through the narrow driveways and parked in an unoccupied spot. Once it stopped, the engine and lights cut off, as Midnight and the Doctor came out from both sides, with the heroine laughing, "So you're telling me, you actually went back to the middle ages and entered a combat match riding a tank while playing the electric guitar?"
"Yes, and I might've even taught the people the word 'dude' centuries before they're supposed to," the Time Lord said, chuckling, as they both closed and locked the car doors.
Midnight wheezed at the thought of her mentor being all funky as they proceeded towards the car park elevator, "You sure sound like you had a lot of fun after you left, Doctor. Oh, I really should thank this Clara for helping you get a whole new regeneration cycle," she said as she wiped a tear of laughter off her face, "otherwise, you wouldn't be here and I wouldn't be hearing your stories."
"I also would like to introduce you to her too, Nemuri," the Doctor's voice and expression changed, "*sigh*if only I could remember her."
Concerned by the old man's reply, she asked, "What happened?"
The old man replied, "It's complicated, but long story short, something bad happened and I needed to keep her safe, and the only way to do that is to wipe some of her memory."
"Of what?"
"Of me, I remember doing that, but I can't seem to wrap my head around why I don't seem to remember her at all."
Midnight tried to asked another question, but the Doctor quickly added, "I know, how come I still remember her if I don't remember her at all? Well, whenever something goes missing, you can always recreate it by the hole it left. I know her name was Clara, and that we travelled together."
They reached the elevators, and with a 'ding', an elevator opens up, into which they entered.
The Doctor continued, "I know that there was an ancient parasite world-ending conspiracy in Victorian Yorkshire, and the telepathic Teller in our heist of the Bank of Karabraxos, and I know that before we parted ways, in the Cloisters, she told me something important but I don't have a single idea of what she said, or what she looked like, or how she talked or laughed, there's nothing I can think of."
That was when they got off the elevator, as it had reached their chosen floor, and hearing her former teacher's account, although she wasn't familiar with some of the terms mentioned, it had caused Midnight to feel bad for him, and thought, 'Oh Sensei, I have known you for years, and I have always known you to be strong at heart, but this kind of loss feels way too much to handle, even for you. This Clara, she definitely is someone sensei cares about, ohhh, if only I actually know her, then I could help him remember, it's a misfortune that I don't."
Deciding to not cause more harm to the Doctor's feelings, the Pro Hero put her thoughts aside, and said, "So are you looking for her these days? She could be anywhere, and I'm sure with the TARDIS, you can definitely find her."
"No, these days I'm more preoccupied with something else, but if there's one thing I know about Clara, just one, if I may find her again, I'd absolutely know."
Then, the black haired pro hero looked at the Time Lord with a small smile, "Then I wish you best of luck in finding her, sensei."
The Doctor took a look at Midnight's face, and replied her smile with a thankful one, "Thank you, Nemuri. But please, stopped calling me sensei, you're a Pro Hero now, I'm not your teacher anymore."
"Whatever you say, but you will always be my sensei in my heart," said the heroine, giving him a wink.
The old man maintained his smile at the sight of his old student's energy, as they approached the door of the principal's office. He exclaimed "Ah, the principal's office, still the same as I remember."
"Glad you still remember," Midnight then knocked on the door, and the voice of Principal Nezu was heard, "Please come in."
The Doctor and his former pupil stood before the Principal, who was still sitting in his desk, "Good afternoon Midnight, and the Doctor I believe."
The silver-haired man wasn't paying attention and was looking all around the office, with the black-haired heroine replying the white mammal, "Good afternoon to you too, principal, may I assume that Nagisa-kun's teachers and classmates have told you everything."
"They did, and they are quite interesting to say the least, although I am really curious, how do you know the Doctor to the point of rushing to his rescue without going through proper procedures?"
"Yeah... sorry about that, it's a long story, but I will try my best to explain it, but I'm sure the Doctor here would help clear the picture."
Principal Nezu clapped his paws, "Very well then, now, Doctor, can you tell me more about yourself?"
The Time Lord was still looking around the room, not paying the slightest attention, leading to Midnight giving him a little shake, "Doctor?"
"You've had this place redecorated, haven't you?" asked the Doctor.
Midnight and the mammalian principal didn't expect such a question, with the mammal asking, "Excuse me?"
"The window at the back, I remember it was smaller, and these sofas, they weren't black but brown the last time I saw them."
Principal Nezu thought, 'Interesting, so he has been in this room before, that narrows down possibilities,' then chuckled, "After my predecessor retired, I decided to renovate the office a bit, and add a bit of my flavour to the place, so what do you think?"
The Scotsman turned to the principal and grimaced, "I don't like it."
Midnight slapped her old mentor's shoulder mockingly, "What kind of first impression was that?" She then tried to reassure the mammalian, saying, "Don't mind him, he is always like that, he prefers things to stay unchanged."
Luckily, Nezu was a tolerant person and wasn't easily offended, "It's fine, I understand what he is getting at, most people are not forward to changes, but if given the patience and time, they would come around to accept it, even if it is to a degree."
Impressed by the principal's response, the Doctor decided to give his full attention and said, "Well said, times change, and so must everything that flows with it. People as well, we all are different people throughout our lives, but there is no need to fret about it; we all must change and it would be a good thing, as long as we remember what we used to be. This room may be different now, but the feeling is still here, and I will never forget what it used to look like, not a single detail," as he took another look at every side of the office, with a gentle smile.
Touched by the old man's short speech, Midnight exclaimed, "Oh, sensei..."
Nezu was also touched by his words, but he was also fascinated by what his school personel called him. As his quirk allows him to process information at relatively high speed, his chain of thought led him to jump off his chair and headed to one of the metal drawers by the right wall, but since the drawer was quite high for the principal, he needed to step on a stool to reach it.
Once the principal opened the drawer, it revealed a series of documents, which were showing signs of aging, first he took out Midnight's old student file, after looking through her class info, it guided him to the heroine's class documents from 14 to 16 years ago, and through the file of class 3-A from the latest year range, it led him to one of the old teacher files, which he took out.
Holding the file, Nezu stepped off his stool and walked back to his desk. He proceeded to read into the file, then picked out a photo which he handed to his two guests, and asked, "Perhaps this might jog some memories."
Midnight took the photo, she and the Doctor then viewed it. In the picture were a young Aizawa Shota, with a young Yamada Hizashi, Kayama Nemuri and Oboro Shirakumo all in student uniform, squeezing closely around him, much to the introvert boy's discomfort, and next to the four stood the same gentleman from the police station photo but in a blue suit and trousers with the same white trainers, grinning and embracing the students.
Midnight and the Doctor's faces relaxed as their minds went back to that most unforgettable year, the old man said, "Looking back now, you were all fledgling souls trying your hardest for the hope of this world. And look at you now Nemuri, all grown up and a fully fledged Pro Hero, guiding the next generation of heroes on the same path."
The former student's face soured a bit, "If only Shirakumo-kun is all still here, it might be even better, that grin of his shines through even the darkest of nights."
"Indeed, but what happened did happen, and there was nothing you could do back then to change the outcome, not even I can do anything about it, not without them keeping things in check," the old man said, feeling frustrated by the loss of that optimistic student, as well as guilt for being powerless in preventing his death.
As the mood in the principal office becoming somber, Principal Nezu decided to change back the subject of their discussion, "So I take it that you know the gentleman in the photo?"
The Doctor handed back the photo to Nezu and replied, "Yes, I do, in fact, he is me, and I'm him, just same person different face."
Not expected such an answer, the white mammal thought, 'They are the same person? I suppose he can change his appearance through a transformation quirk if he is of this world, but if he is from the other universe, there are cosmetic surgeries, however, the man in the picture looks to be in his 30s and it is from 14 years ago, and yet the Doctor here looks about 60 and 70.'
"Then perhaps you can fiil in my curiosity, Doctor, if you claim to be the man in this photo, then can you please tell me how you look the way you are now?"
The Doctor said, "Sure, but it might take a while to explain it, so I will make it as simple as possible, where do you want me to start?"
"From when you first arrived, please."
One not so long explanation later...
"And here we are, I hope you can keep it a secret from the others, shh," the Doctor concluded his explanation.
Thanks to his quirk, Nezu was able to comprehend what the Scotsman, or rather the Time Lord, said and mentally constructed a comprehensive timeline, "I believe I get the gist of it, you are of an ancient alien race and the first time you arrived was 10 years ago, but then you turned up last year where you first got arrested and was bailed out by Midnight here, later you travelled around for a year before settling to teach here for another year in this school 15 years ago, and finally returned to your universe."
Impressed by the mammalian principal's efficiency in understanding, the old man complimented, "Wow, to be able to understand all that non-parallel temporal process, you sure are something extraordinary, Nezu."
Midnight added, "Indeed, I can just barely understand all of what Doctor said."
"You two are giving me too much credit, it is just the advantage of my quirk," the principal said to both humbly, then continued, "but Doctor, I do have a request."
Intrigued by what he heard, the old man asked, "Oh? And what would that be?"
"Here is the situation, today, some of our teachers, all of whom are Pro Heroes, had gone missing, but up to now, none of them had been found yet."
The R-rated hero said, "So that's why I haven't seen any of the others, any idea on how that happened?"
Nezu continued, "I'm not sure, but the last time I saw any of the Pro Hero teachers was my meeting with Aizawa and All Might this afternoon, then I have not seen them at all."
The Doctor pursed his lips and surmised, "I cannot be certain, but considering that there was a battle in the Tokyo shopping district, I fear that they might have been compromised or kidnapped to prevent them from interfering in the fight, that could mean that the school might have been infiltrated by the enemy."
As the air of conspiracy filled the office, the Time Lord also suggested, "And with that being the case, Principal Nezu, I would like to ask of you to allow me and the Kunugigaoka teachers to stay and teach in U.A for the time being, so that we can better coordinate our efforts into investigating the disappearance of the teachers, as well as substituting for them, to keep the students educated; and further more, I wish that you would also allow the Kunugigaoka students to stay as well, for they will also need our protection."
The principal smiled, "Glad that you said that, for that is what my request was about."
"Wait, that was the request?" the old man inquried, with the white mammal adding, "Yes, and also I have already made the necessary arrangements with Korosensei, Karasuma-san and Jelavić-san, and they have agreed to help with teaching the general subjects of the Hero course."
"Oh, well that makes things easier," the Doctor remarked, Midnight then asked, "However, since Eraser and Vlad King are also missing, class 1-A and 1-B are missing their homeroom teachers."
The mammalian principal said, "Correct, that's why I will need the two of you to substitute their position, if you are fine with that arrangement."
"I'm okay with that, what about you, Sensei?"
"Originally, I was planning on going on a short trip at random to relief myself from school duty at the university, but now that things have reached this point, and I have even suggested personally, I don't think I have any other choice now," the Doctor shrugged.
"Excellent, so Doctor, which class would you like to teach for the time being?" Nezu asked.
Surprised by the question, the Time Lord asked, "Shouldn't it be up to you to decide, Nezu?"
The principal replied, "Since you voluntarily accepted my request, and is a senior educator as well as our esteemed guest, I felt that you should have the privilege to choose."
Understanding what his employer for the following days was saying, the Doctor thought for a few moments, said, "Well, I have already seen class 1-A in action, and I know their potential and their skills, I'm sure Shota did his duty well, and that being said, I think I will handle class 1-B."
"Alright, then I will manage class A for Aizawa."
Nezu then concluded, "Very well, this concludes our meeting, I should not take up more of your time, you two can go do your things. Doctor, if you need anything, you know where to find me."
Both the old man and Pro Hero bowed before the principal, and headed out of the room.
"I can't believe this, never in my life would I have thought that I would get to work alongside you, the Doctor, the most magnificent man," Midnight exclaimed, releasing all her pent-up excitement.
"Don't say that about me, I'm not that magnificent, nor am I a true hero like the lot of you," the Time Lord said, and the heroine added, "Don't be like that, I'm sure you will do just fine teaching the kids what truly makes a hero, just like how you once taught me."
'If only you knew, Nemuri,' the Doctor thought, making a sad smile which went unnoticed by her.
"Now that I think about it," Midnight began, "if the ones we're currently dealing with have taken away all the others, how come I'm the only to not get captured?"
"Good question, considering the effects of your quirk, I'm sure you'd be a pretty high priority target on their list, especially if they are perverts, I'm sure they would want a piece of you," the Scotsman joked, making the R-rated hero laugh.
He continued with a stern face, "But seriously, it's either you were very lucky to stay under their radar, or that there is something else involved."
Midnight then said, "That sounds a bit cryptic, don't you think?"
"Yeah, that sounds about right."
"So, where should we go now?"
"I think we should go find the others, and I think I know where they might be right now."
= Lunch Rush Cafeteria =
"Thanks for the meal, Lunch Rush-san," Isogai said as he returned the trays from his table, with the school chef giving a thumbs-up in response.
The class 3-E class rep then returned to his seat, next to Maehara, along with Nagisa, Kayano and Karma on one side, and Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki and Asui on the other, while the others sat together at 6 other tables.
Uraraka admired, "Wow, you can really carry all those trays at once, Isogai-kun."
"Thanks Uraraka-san, it's nothing really, just something I've done out of practice," the bot replied.
Iida then said, "But for someone who is training as an assassin, it doesn't really feel like a necessary skill for killing."
Maehara replied in his childhood friend's stead, "But it is a good skill for his part-time job as a waiter," to which Todoroki asked the black haired 15-year-old, "Wait, you work as a waiter?"
"Unfortunately, yes, it's the only way for my family to get by."
Midoriya remarked, "It sounds like your family has money problems."
"It's quite sad actually, his family was not that well off to begin with, and after his dad died in a traffic accident two years ago, it left to Isogai and his mom to take care of their finances as well as his little brother and sister; furthermore, his mom's job is not really that well-paying and is often sick, so he also began working part-time to help out, but it only barely keeps up for their daily expenses and tuition," the blond boy explained.
"Oh poor Isogai-chan, kero," Asui said, with pity in her voice, "I feel sorry for you."
The turbo hero said, "That's quite a burden, I am from a wealthy Pro Hero family, so I might not be the best person to say this, but after getting to know your background, and that you are a big brother who takes care of his family while working and studying, that is something truly admirable."
"Thank you for understanding, Iida-san, Asui-san," Isogai thanked his class 1-A counterpart.
The greenet then said, "But that aside, how was the food here?"
"It's actually pretty good, the pudding deluxe was superb," Kayano said.
"I will have to agree," Karma said casually while sipping his carton of strawberry milk.
Isogai also complimented, "Indeed, perhaps I should ask Lunch Rush-san for some recipes, I could cook some new dishes for my siblings once we get back."
"What about you guys? Like the food?" Nagisa asked his classmates at the other tables.
Everyone else agreed that their meal was very good, Korosensei who was at a separate table with his two colleagues, said, "It's been a while to see the students so happy about one thing, espeecially over food."
Irina added, "Well, I don't have anything else to say, Lunch Rush's food really is good, but the world is also remarkable, people having quirks, it makes life very easy."
"I have to agree, especially after seeing Recovery Girl healing the students, it would really make things convenient if people in our universe have the same power," Karasuma said, remembering what he saw at the infirmiry, how the school nurse quickly healed some of the class 1-A students with her quirk.
The homeroom teacher agreed, "In a way, yes, but the Doctor also noted that in the early days of quirk's appearance, normal people were not that receiving towards quirk users, even turning hostile to them, and I'm certain some people are still against quirk users, especially those of the mutant type," as he glanced towards Shoji, guessing upon his origin and reason of covering his face.
Karasuma nodded, "True, if only things were truly that ideal across all worlds, then villainy wouldn't be a thing."
"On the topic of the Doctor though, how do you think he is now?" Irina wondered.
"The Doctor?" A familiar voice sounded, leading to everyone turning their heads in its direction in .
And standing by one of the planter boxes was the Doctor and Midnight, with the former continuing with a smirk, "Doctor Who?'
Kataoka, who was sitting in one of the other tables, exclaimed, "Doctor, you're alright!"
"That's right, all thanks to Midnight," the Scotsman said while giving a glance to the Pro Hero at his side.
And the two of them sat down with the other teachers, who introduced themselves to the black-haired heroine.
"Happy to finally meet the three of you, I suppose we will be working together for the foreseeable future now?" she said, with Karasuma responding professionally, "That's what the principal has requested, we are looking forward to this exchange."
The way the P.E teacher spoke was mainly out of habit from his JSDF service, but had an adverse effect, in that it was attractive to the R-rated hero, who said flirtatiously, "Oh, I like that tone of yours, and looking at you," she scanned the man's figure and licked her lips, before continuing like a predator, "I could really take a bite out of you."
The former soldier was slightly taken aback by the hero's behaviour, but after spending almost a year with the hitwoman by his side, it wasn't something he had not seen before, so he just closed his eyes and shrugged it off. The U.A students also sweatdropped, knowing that it matched their teacher's behaviour, but were also astonished by Karasuma's fortitude.
As for Irina, seeing that caused her to get jealous due to her affection towards her coworker, and caused her face to run red and pout. As for the class 3-E students, they were watching the scene unfold, and Kayano whispered to her classmates, "Goodness me, it is really bold for Midnight-san to be wearing that and straight up flirt with Karasuma-sensei like that, and in front of all of us at that."
Nagisa explained silently, "Midoriya-san explained to me that the reason Midnight-sensei wears so thin is for efficiency, as her quirk allows her to emit a sleep-inducing aroma from her skin, so it would make sense to expose your skin easily, though personally I believe it is more of a decency problem, since there is a more efficient way if you know what I mean that is."
The greenette and Maehara were quick to think up how it would have looked and the mental image was really indecent, with the child actress blushing embarassedly while the blond made a perverted face, but was quickly intercepted by the dangerous glare from a certain classmate. As for Karma, he was more amused by what he was watching, and called out, "Hey Bitch-sensei, if she is ticking a nerve, do that trick of yours with Karasuma-sensei!"
"Oh shut up, Karma you brat!" the blond lady rebuked the redhead in anger, as Korosensei slid up to her side while holding her shoulder with a tentacle, grinning, "It's okay, perhaps with a love rival, you might wanna make some progress now. Am I correct?" And the former rebutted, "No, you're definitely wrong, you perverted octopus!"
This caused many of the students to almost laugh, even the Doctor was a bit amused, but interjected the conversation, "You don't have to worry about anything, Irina, she's always like that, just like to play with boys, but she prefers younger ones compared to Karasuma, so I would say you kids should be careful," as he gave a warning to the class 3-E boys, then continued with a slight grimace, "and Nemuri, don't you start, I don't want to deal with another flirt."
"Sorry Doctor, just wanted to mess with the lot of them, no hard feelings," Kayama said with her tongue slightly stuck out, "though I really didn't expect to see some real sparks out of the two of you."
That last statement caused Irina to look away with a slight blush, while Karasuma just sighed.
Observing the situation, some of the students chatted amongst themselves.
"I never thought that Karasuma-sensei and Irina-sensei would have that kind of relationship," Hagakure said, with Yada responding, "Oh you have no idea Hagakure-san, Bitch-sensei has a crush on him for quite some time, but he is rather dense and didn't really do much about that."
"Wait, so they are a thing?!" Ashido inquired, and Okano replied, "Yeah, we even set up a date dinner for them once, and let me tell you, it gone way off, they talked about the assassination more than anything else." Nakamura added, "And we were expecting her to do her signature kiss of death, instead she only did an indirect kiss with a napkin."
"Sheesh, talk about a let down," Ojiro remarked.
Over at the first table, Iida asked, "Did you guys notice what the Doctor said?" Todoroki nodded, "He called sensei by her first name."
Isogai inquired, "Is there something we should know about that?" And the fire and ice boy said, "Normally people only called on duty Pro Heroes by their hero names instead of personal, but referring to one on the first name basis, that is something else."
Midoriya murmured deadpannedly, "You said that even though your hero name is just your first name, Todoroki-kun."
Hearing the students' discussion, Korosensei decided to ask the important question, "So Doctor, what happened after you got arrested? You almost caused us to have a heart attack when Karma-kun informed us."
"Well, after arriving at the station, I waited for a bit, before the police commissioner put me through a brief interrogation, and after running through some background checks, he asked for my assistance in something, then Nemuri came to pick me up," the Scotsman explained briefly.
"Then how come you know to tell us to ask for Midnight-sensei?" Yaoyorozu voiced her question.
"I only said ask the teachers, I never knew that it was her that you managed to find, even less so was that she is your teacher."
"So how come you know sensei to the level of referring to her by the first name?" Kaminari asked.
The teacher and student duo glanced at each other, then the former said, "It's a long story, but we've known each other for a very long time, I was a different man back then."
"That would be an understatement, sensei, you were the very reason I managed to get to where I am now," Midnight corrected.
Surprised by how the heroine referred to the old man, the students got up to the teachers' table, with Sero asking, "Sensei, why did you call him sensei?"
"Why else, he was my homeroom teacher on my last year of studying, and he also taught Eraserhead and Present Mic himself." the black-haired woman responded, which shocked everyone, Midoriya thought, 'So he's not just a university professor and time traveller, but also a Pro Hero!? Is he something like Gran Torino, but it doesn't make sense, how come he also gives me the feeling of that man?'
Before anyone else can say anything, the Doctor explained, "It's true, but I only taught for a year, and mainly history, science and hero ethics, physical training was managed by Haganezuka Chihiro, also known as the Pro Hero Ironhide."
"I know who that is, he was the Fullmetal Hero, with his quirk Alchemy, he is capable of making metallic armor and weapons out of his body," Midoriya said, the Scotsman replied, "Correct, and he was a good friend and modest man, though I don't really like that weapons out and trigger-happy attitude of his, so where is he, I don't see him anywhere."
"Ironhide-sensei retired from active and teaching duty 5 years ago, he's about 70 now, don't you remember sensei?" Midnight questioned, and her mentor responded, "I skipped 9 years after I arrived, and then left 14 years ago, how would I know that, Nemuri; besides, age didn't stop Gran Torino from still working today and that man is 78."
Hearing that argument, the heroine thought for a second, and simply replied, "Touché."
"But I would have to say, it is a joy to have my old job back," the old man said, which confused some of the students, and Yaoyorozu asked, "Wait, you mean..."
The Doctor then explained his conversation with Principal Nezu, and the students understood the situation, with Iida asking the old man, "So you would be substituting for Vlad King?"
"Correct, but I would also help teach your class, perhaps even tomorrow I would help with your training session."
Todoroki inquired monotonously, "I thought you said you taught history and science?" The old man shrugged, "Doesn't mean I don't know how to fight, little Shoto."
Hearing him said his name surprised the red-white haired boy, who asked, "Wait, am...am I supposed to know you?"
"Well you were very little back then so I don't blame you, I only saw you from a distance when I returned a ball that your siblings were playing with, but now that I noticed," he then looked closer at the boy's face, specifically, his scar, "hmm, looks like a scald burn, so shouldn't be done by him personally, so perhaps something else happened?"
"Well..." Todoroki tried to explain, but the Doctor interrupted, "Let me guess, your mother snapped, didn't she?"
The boy understood that the old man was familiar with his parents and guessed correctly, he sighed and nodded once, the later then lightly patted his head and said, "I'm sorry for what happened, I know your father is a hero, but he can really be too stubborn and ruthless, and your mother..." he put down his hand," just thinking about it makes me feel disgusted, I really can't see how things would change with that obssession of his."
The hot-and-cold boy then said lightly, "No, things have been improving." The Scotsman then asked, "I beg your pardon?"
"My mother's mental health has improved, and my old man, I think he has changed after becoming no.1."
Looking into the youth eyes, the Doctor could see that there was a glimmer of hope in them, he murmured, "Perhaps I was wrong then..."
"Okay, enough about that," Midnight then asked the Kunungigaoka students, "So how have you all find U.A, is it good?"
"This place is amazing," Fuwa exclaimed, "a school dedicated to the training of heroes with hero teachers, I am honestly living my dream."
"Indeed, it is also much bigger and more beautiful than our school," Isogai remarked, "not just our class building, but also the main campus."
Kirishima said, "Glad you all like it here, I'm sure you will all have a great time here."
The Doctor smiled, "Mmm, good, so," he stood up and clapped, "how about let's get you all settle down?"
After a ten minute walk, the whole lot arrived at the spare dorm building at Heights Alliance, it looked like the other buildings, a five floor building with white first floor and a brown upper levels, and a sign that read 'Alliance', except there was no class name.
"Goodness me, this place is huge! So we will be staying in here?" Kayano exclaimed, Korosensei replied, "That's what Principal Nezu arranged for us."
Uraraka added, "And it gets better inside, Kayano-chan, the first time we got into ours, it was like my breath was taken away."
The Doctor then walked up to the double doors at the entrance ahead of everyone else and took out his sonic, with a click, the doors unlocked and he turned back to all of them, "then why don't we go in and take a look?"
They all went in and into the common area which, like the one in the 1-A dorm, was very expansive, with a wooden floor partly covered with a green carpet, full-set kitchen, television and furniture, along with glass sliding doors into the courtyard.
Yaoyorozu then explained, "The dorm rooms are upstairs and there are thirty-two rooms, the boys are on the left wing and girls are on the right, each room has their own toilets, balcony, furnitures and air conditioning."
Nagisa continued the explanation, "As for the common area, as you can all see, it is fitted with the kitchen and entertainment equipment, but also the bathrooms and laundry rooms."
The students that would be staying in this building spread out and looked around the building, inspecting every corner of it. With several of them giving remarks.
"This place is huge," Isogai said out loud, "my home can't even compare to this!"
Karma wiped a finger over a table, and saw that there wasn't much dust, spoke, "Everythings' brand new as well, it must have cost a fortune to build and maintain all this."
Iida then responded the redhead, "Principal Nezu was the one who ordered the building of the dorms, in a measure to keep the students safe, all the facilities were built in three days, as for the costs, we have no idea where he got them from."
Okajima whispered to Maehara, "Dude, the bathrooms are in the common area, doesn't that mean..." their faces changed as they thought of what could potentially happen, but were noticed by several of the girls, with Kataoka remarking, "Ugh, those two are thinking perverted things again."
Nagisa then added to his explanation, "Girls you need not worry, the bathrooms are separated by gender," which gave them some relief. As for the baldy and blonde, they looked down as their hopes were shattered, with Mineta patting on their legs, saying, "I understand your pain, guys."
As the students were looking around, Karasuma gave his remark, "Nezu really thought ahead for students' safety." Irina spoke, "I know right, to spend so much resources on that, he is a true visionary."
The Scotsman looked around and thought, 'All this is very new, and to think you did all this and in three days, you really are full of surprises Nezu."
Korosensei then suddenly asked the Doctor, "By the way Doctor, I've been wondering, earlier you mentioned that the police asked for your help, what was that about?"
"Oh about that," the old man clapped to get everyone's attention and asked, "Kids, mind if I ask, you all know about the battle at the shopping district and the villain that attacked you, right?"
Kaminari replied, "Of course, we were there, what about it?"
The Scotsman continued sternly, "Well, a policeman was found dead in a nearby alley and important clues went missing."
Everyone heard the revelation and were shocked, not expecting someone to die, Midnight then said, "Sensei, you never mentioned anything about that."
"I thought it would hurt, so I didn't say anything," the old man replied, with his former student complaining, "A man died, you should have told me!"
Uraraka asked concernedly, "How did it happen?" and Iida also asked, "And when you said clues, do you mean..."
The Doctor sighed and said, "He died of fright and alone in the dark alley, and the clues, yes, the bracelet that the villain used."
"Then that means she went back?" Nagisa murmured, "But why?"
Karma added, "Unlikely, you guys said that she fought til she exhausted all her strength and fled, then the police and three Pro Heroes arrived, she wouldn't dare to head back."
The Scotsman pointed, "Exactly Karma, it's more likely that she's not alone, and someone else came to retrieve the bracelet beads, to remove all traces of their involvement."
"And now that those beads are gone, then the police couldn't investigate further," Midoriya concluded, and the blunet added, "And we're back to square one."
"Well, not exactly," the Doctor fished into his coat pocket, and pulled out a small object wrapped in a beige handkerchief. He then unfolded the fabric and revealed a purple bead, identical to those from the bracelet.
"You nicked one!?" Kaminari exclaimed, Jiro asked, "How did you manage it!?"
The old man chuckled, "When the Lurkers gave me the beads, I noticed that the beads have special patterns and are made from a special ore, I figured that I should investigate them as well, so when no one was looking, I slipped one into my pocket."
"So we can do our private investigation," Karasuma said.
"Exactly, and if I'm not mistaken, whoever we're dealing with, even with the other beads gone, they shouldn't be able to do anything with them, as there were 27 beads, and since I have one of them here, the bracelet shouldn't be able to function," the Scotsman said, as he wrap the bead back up and put it back in his pocket.
"This means that we can rest easier, right?" the class 3-E homeroom teacher said, and the Doctor nodded, "Yes, and I can analyse this bead using the TARDIS."
Okuda then raised her arm, "I can help out as well," with the Scotsman saying, "I would appreciate that, Okuda."
Everyone sighed in relief, knowing that they would be safe for the time being, but some of them were still not over the fact that a man died, Isogai then clapped his hands, and said, "Alright, then let's begin moving our thing in."
With the class 3-E students agreeing in unison, "Yes!" then Yoshida spoke, "But there's a problem, the box is still in the park."
"You're right, Yoshida-kun," Kataoka said, "and it will take a long time to get there and back."
The Doctor suddenly said, "Don't worry, I'll take care of it," he went out to the courtyard, then gestured to Korosensei, "Come on Korosensei, I'll need your help with this!"
"Ah, okay," the yellow octupus then moved after the Scotsman to the courtyard, and the latter went up to him and buckled up with his two tentacles, and turned to the inside, "We'll be back in a jiffy, alright take us to the TARDIS."
And in a huge gust of wind, the two of them blasted off, the teachers and students walked up to the windows, with those from U.A left in astonishment, and Midoriya asked, "So...when will they be back?"
Nagisa replied, "Pretty quickly."
And a few seconds later, Korosensei returned to the courtyard with the blue police box next to him.
"How quick was that? That's even faster than Iida's Recipro Turbo," Uraraka exclaimed, Midoriya added, "It's even faster than All Might in his prime."
Nagisa then replied the two, "Due to his body structure, Korosensei can travel up to Mach 20, meaning he can go to Italy to buy pizza and enjoy it here while it's still hot."
As the two were trying to wrap around that thought, the others walked to the courtyard.
"So what's up with this box?" Kirishima asked, while Midnight put a hand on the wooden box's surface, "Ah, the TARDIS, still the same blue."
"TARDIS? I heard the Doctor coin that term earlier," Yaoyorozu said, "but what does it mean?"
The Doctor then opened the door and walked out, "It stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space, and it is my ship."
Bakugou, not believing what the old man said, snickered, "Tch, you call that a ship? Looks like a piece of junk to me,"
Midnight then chuckled, "Don't believe it? Then take a look inside, Bakugou."
The explosive 16-year-old than stuck his head through the door, and saw that there is a huge room inside. Still not believing, he looked back at the exterior and walked around it, and then poked his head back in, when he walked away in silence with his mouth open and his eyes blank.
Seeing the expression on the ash-blond's face, Kirishima asked, "What's happened to Bakugou? Can we see what's inside?"
The Scotsman then said, "Sure, but may I remind you, don't touch anything."
"Just what did Kacchan see that left him like that?" Midoriya said.
The greenet's mind was blown by what he saw as he followed his classmates into the control room. As the rest of class 1-A along with Nagisa looked around, they were astonished.
"It's... it's b-bigger on the inside!?" Uraraka blurted out, Asui said, "I can barely get my head around that as well, Ochako-chan."
Todoroki saw the round things on the wall and muttered, "I wonder what those are?"
Midnight also went in to supervise the students and make sure they don't touch anything, but mainly to see how the inside was looking, and she said to herself, "Oh he redecorated," then thought for a moment and continued, "I kinda like it."
Kaminari and Jiro walked to the lower level, and saw something they liked, the Doctor's black electic guitar, and the electric blonde said, "Why the heck would this be here?" and the girl just said, "Perhaps the Doctor likes rock music."
The boy then asked, "Do you think we should ask him to play in a performance with our band?" She thought for a moment, and replied, "You know what? That's a good idea!"
Outside the TARDIS, the rest of class 3-E and the Doctor waited for the U.A students so that they could enjoy their moment inside, in the meantime, they wondered amongst themselves on how the others reacted.
But Takebayashi asked the Time Lord, "So Doctor, if the box is bigger on the inside, has a lot of space inside and is made of metal, shouldn't it be pretty heavy? So how come Korosensei managed to carry it?"
"It's simple, I just adjusted the relative gravity of the TARDIS," the Doctor said, Karma also spoke, "You mean you made it lighter?"
The spectacled boy asked again, "So how heavy is it really?"
The Doctor scratched the back of his head, "Well, if the TARDIS was to ever land at its full weight, it would crack the surface of the planet."
Then, those that went into the box came out, and the Doctor asked, "Well, what do you think?"
Midnight said, "I like how you redecorated it, a bit darker and more sciencey." The old man thanked his old student, "Aw, thanks Nemuri, rarely anyone has said that."
"It was unbelievable!" Uraraka exclaimed, "your box is like magic!"
Yaoyorozu said to the brunette, "Well, we can barely understand how it is bigger on the inside, so it makes sense to think that it is magic."
Midoriya asked the Scotsman, "But I don't understand, how is it done to put such a big room in such a small space?"
The old man responded, "That's because the inside and outside are in different dimensions," he entered the TARDIS, then came out with two metal cubes of different sizes, and asked, "Which cube is larger?"
Everyone pointed at the larger cube, the Doctor walked further into the courtyard and put down the cube, then came back with the smaller cube still in his hand, asked, "Now which is larger?"
They pointed at the large cube again, the Scotsman said blantly, "But it looks smaller." Itona monotonously responded, "Because it's further away."
"Exactly, if you could keep that at exactly that distance away and have it here," the Doctor pointed to the large cube then the small one in his hand, "the large one would fit inside the small one."
None of the students and teachers understood what the old man was saying, with Irina saying, "That makes absolutely zero sense."
"That's transdimensional engineering, a key discovery for the creation of the TARDIS."
"Okay, well, I think that's enough for today," Karma remarked, as he sweatdropped from trying to understand all that the Doctor said, which is a rare instance, considering that he has genius level intellect, even amongst his peers, and thought, 'I can hardly wrap my mind around that concept, how do you put something in one thing in one dimension and into a smaller object, I don't think even he can figure that out.'
"Agreed, I think we should all get some rest for today," Iida said, and then turned his class 3-E counterpart, "Isogai-kun, if any of you need anything, we will help any way we can."
The younger boy replied, "Thanks Iida-san, we will remember that."
"And I think we shall go to the teachers' dorm," Karasuma said to his coworkers, who both nodded. Korosensei then said, "Alright then children, let's grab our things and choose our rooms."
"We will see you tomorrow at school then," Kirishima said, and Kataoka replied, "I believe so, have a nice evening then, see you all tomorrow."
As the class 3-E students entered the TARDIS to grab their bags and belongings and class 1-A students began to leave the visitors' dorm, Nagisa said to himself, "I guess I will be moving my things here," and Midoriya and Uraraka said to the blunet, "we will help you with that, Nagisa."
The younger boy said to the greenet, "Thanks, Midoriya-san, Uraraka-san," and they followed the others.
As the class 1-A students walked towards their dorm building, Ashido stretched her arms and said, "Man, I'm beat, a day of relaxing just turned into a day of shenanigans."
"I know, Mina-chan, but now that Nagisa-kun's friends and teachers are here, we can be more relieved that he is safer now," Yaoyorozu remarked.
"Yeah, but we might not be able to play with Nagisa-chan as much as before," Hagakure said, a bit sadly.
The blunet then responded, "Don't worry, Hagakure-san, you are all welcome to come to our dorm to visit anytime, I'm sure you would enjoy playing with my girl classmates."
The invisible girl then said, "Thank you Nagisa-chan, and you're right, I do like their company, especially Toka-chan and Hinano-chan."
Todoroki held his chin the whole time and said, "I'm more concerned about the Doctor, he said he had seen me before, but I have never seen him in my life."
"But he also said something that happened in your childhood, something about returning a ball, can you remember it happened before, Todoroki-kun?" Iida asked.
"I may not have much interactions with my siblings as a child, but I do recall that one time watching them play ball, Natsuo-nii throwing it over my residence's wall and a foreign man with brown hair coming in to give it back to them," the fire-and-ice boy continued.
Hearing the description, it jogged Midoriya and Bakugou's memory, with the former saying, "A foreign man with brown hair, me and Kacchan have seen someone just like that before."
Nagisa inquired, "You mean from that incident back when the two of you were fourteen?" The greenet answered, "Yes."
"Don't be ridiculous Deku, that was last year, no way he could have aged like that in a year," Bakugou sneered, and Kirishima reminded, "But Bakugou, you saw his box, you know that he truly is a time traveller."
The ash blond growled as he can't argue with that fact, then added, "Even so, they don't even look alike."
Neither Midoriya nor Todoroki can deny that, as the Doctor and the individual(s) they remembered were indeed different.
"So just what is the Doctor?" Yaoyorozu raised the question.
A/N:
Finally! This chapter has truly been my Winds of Winter, I have been struggling to finish it. Sorry to all of you, my life for the past few months have been a nightmare, as I have started a part-time internship in Spain, and the visa process had been total bogwater, with me having to reapply my residence permit after it was rejected in the first time, as well as technical issues, causing me to keep on losing my progress, though the good thing is that I have acclimatised to the environment, my new employer is very kind, and my job is really enjoyable. And the specials of Doctor Who, they were amazing with RTD back at the helm again, and as always David was brilliant, but Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson, they were marvellous, and they were very well written for their first episode, I am sure next year, they will get even better.
So to recap, the Doctor has rejoined the team, some major clues to his origins are coming to light for our students and teachers, and with the three heroes having a connection to him, the mystery is building up, how will they figure it all out? I wonder...
As for the other connections I mentioned last chapter, I hope you can guess to what other animes I am referring to, if so give me your answers in your reviews. Also about Ironhide, he is an OC Pro Hero based upon the Transformers character, with name and quirk pulled from Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) and Fullmetal Alchemist, respectively. Hope you've all enjoyed this chapter.
Please review, follow and favourite, Happy 60th anniversary, Merry Christmas I wish y'all a Happy New Year
To be continued...
