Part 1
The land was calm, serene even, and given the fact that it was near sunset, it was beautiful within the orange and yellow sky. The sole star shines over the long horizon over the mountains surrounding the city. As long fields of rice stretched across the valley, evident of the immense fertility the flourishing village was going through.
The gate of the village, what he would come to know as Yamatai, was flourishing as well. Even within this late hour, the market was still bustling with life. People from all around the area walked about, shopping, selling, and overall just having a good time.
In all honesty, this village reminded him of his home, its serenity, its climate. Even the buildings looked to be something straight out of Konoha itself, although the technological advances seemed to be far more primitive than even the village hidden within the leaves had been at its peak.
It was nostalgic, yet bitter at the same time. But that didn't stop the fondness he felt just by entering the village.
As a blonde male, with hair that spiked out like the sun. His eyes were a blue azure, and as deep as the ocean itself. His skin was tanned, with three almost identical whisker-like marks running across each of his cheeks. All of which stood out of place with the usual dark hair and light-tanned skin that was usual within the area.
But the most unusual thing about him was surely his appearance, as his clothing was in near tatters. Orange pants that had scuff marks and rips near the edges, a black and orange jacket whose sleeves were torn. The front zipper was broken, showing his muscular chest and the fishnet shirt he wore underneath. Not that many could see that; as an almost equally torn white cloak with red-lined edges was stretched across his form. Hiding his face and subsequent leaf headband from the world. But if they were observant enough they could see the clear tiredness within his eyes; a testament to the sheer exhaustion he felt at the moment.
As such, he nearly collapsed to the ground, or he would have, had it not been sheer instinct that had stopped him. He managed to keep himself upright if only a little by falling onto his knees his hands to the ground.
Suddenly it felt so heavy; like the weight upon his shoulders was so immense as if he had lifted Kurama or even the Juubi once again by its tails.
"Oh dear, it seems you are unwell, young man, are you alright? " An older woman asked, and as Naruto turned to look up he saw the woman's look of concern.
As the blonde male took a deep breath, forcing himself off of the ground out of sheer willpower alone. He tried to look at least somewhat presentable as he rubbed the back of his head nonchalantly. Even as the action caused bursts of pain to shoot across his entire body.
"Huh? Oh, I'm fine…" he tried to tell her, but the woman saw right through it.
She only gave him a flat look, showing that she didn't even believe him for a second. "Yeah, no you aren't," the older woman told him flatly. "Here come with me dearie," she told him.
Which only confused Naruto. "Huh? What do you mean—Nah!" The older woman grabbed him by the wrist and dragged him over to a nearby food stall. Paying for it as if she didn't need the money, and before even the blonde could blink a bowl was shoved into his face on the street corner.
"Here, some food in your stomach would do you some good," the woman told him.
As Naruto blinked, looking into the bowl he could see small white grains within. Rice, he recognized, a small dish he'd never really been all too fond of. Not that he didn't like the food, and given that his stomach was practically running empty he wasn't above taking help from strangers.
Digging into the meal, the dish disappeared within seconds. "Thanks, Obaasan," he stated, as the woman gave a hearty chuckle at this remark.
"It was no problem dearie," she told him, "I was just surprised someone like fainted like that. I couldn't stand by and do nothing," the woman stated.
As Naruto rubbed the back of his head at being reminded of his earlier tumble. "Sorry, I guess I just let myself get a bit too relaxed, this place is very beautiful after all," he commented, and at that, the older woman gained a fond smile.
"Why yes, Yamatai is a wonderful place. And I bet you would have no trouble finding a place to stay to rest for a while," she told him.
But Naruto only shook his head, "Sorry Obaasan, but I can't quite rest just yet, not until I've at least made some progress on my goal," he told her, as he finished off the last bits of the rice she had given him.
As the woman quirked an eyebrow, "Oh really, and what's that?" She inquired, although she could instantly tell that put Naruto in a foul mood. As he looked to the ground somberly.
"Umm… we'll I want to get back to my home, but I can't find a way to get there," he told her, leaving out the fact that his 'home' was actually within another dimension entirely.
The woman nodded, placing a finger to her chin in thought. "Hmmm… hmm… yeah I see that is a problem, it's too bad you can't see the Queen about it," she said with sympathy.
Of that, Naruto raised an eyebrow, "Queen?" He asked.
And at that, the woman looked shocked. "You mean you don't know?" She said as if the answer was obvious.
"Know what?" Naruto questioned.
The woman was even more shocked. "Our Queen is an amazing woman, one that has brought peace and prosperity to our land I tell you. And rumor has it she even has the power to tell the future, if anybody would be able to find a way to get to your home it would be her," she told him, pointing towards the palace at the furthest point of the village.
"Huh? Is that so?" Naruto questioned, that sounded an awfully lot like Shion's doujutsu. Maybe she could help him?
Nonetheless, he could tell she was an amazing person.

Sometime later.
(Within the Queen's temple)
"Ow—OW! Hey! Hei! Don't you pull so hard— it hurts— Owie!" A woman winned; as she was being dragged throughout the palace, back within her quarters by her ear.
Her brother just sighed, "Himiko, how many times do I have to tell you, you can't just sneak off like that, you could get yourself hurt." He told her as he continued to pull on her ear even harder to get his point across to his free-spirited younger sister.
"I know— I know! Just please let go of My— Ear!" She told him, as her brother thankfully let go of her throbbing ear, freeing her from her unbearable pain.
Her brother Hei just sighed once again, "Himiko, that's no way for a Queen to act."
"Oh Poo— I know, I just wanted to go outside for a quick bit!" Himiko pouted.
Her brother sympathized, but at the same time, he knew the danger she was in if she left unattended. "I know, I know, but you know you can't do that," he told her, and it looked like he just kicked a sad puppy judging by the expression she was sporting. As he ushered his sister into her room, a palm to his face.
"Look, Himiko, it's getting late," her golden-eyed brother told her. "Why don't you get some rest?" He suggested, and at that, she pouted even more like a child being put to bed. Which honestly wasn't too far off from the truth, his sister could be immature at times.
And with those words her brother left her, ignoring the scathing look she sent his way, although they both knew there was no fire within her glare. As he left without a second word.
Himiko sighed as she changed into her nightwear, plopping herself onto her mattress as she sighed.
XXX
(With her Brother)
Himiko's brother signed, not for the first time that night.
Honestly, at times his sister could be a little much, not that he minded, as it was her carefree attitude and happy nature that endeared her to so many people. It was also the same nature that just so happened to give him so many headaches. As well as the immense guilt he felt every time he had to drag her back into her home.
And it wasn't as if he wanted to completely isolate her from the outside world. No, it was the opposite. It was just that he knew of the immense danger his sister could be a part of if she ever left.
The village worshiped her, practically as if she were a goddess herself. Which honestly was his fault for accidentally revealing her secret of her immense power. But with that worship, some were skeptical, or worse those who outright hated her for possessing such abilities.
In truth, he only wanted to keep her safe, which is why he needed her to stay within the palace they had erected.
As the Brother of Himiko passed through the large halls. Many of the patrolling guards saw the familiar figure of a golden-eyed young male with dark hair framing his face and less-than-quality clothing as he walked about.
It was only after a young voice broke him out of his thoughts that he dared to look up.
"Did Himiko-sama try to escape again?" A young girl sighed, looking up at the young man.
"Yeah, she did, Iyo, that's the fourth time this month," he commented.
Iyo is a young child about twelve to thirteen years of age with twin-tailed dark hair and eyes. She wore semi-moderate clothing that had forgone any sleeves. Showing off the girl's still-growing chest at her sides.
The resemblance to his sister wasn't lost on him, which wasn't too strange given the fact they were distantly related after all. And within a couple of years, he would not doubt that she would look just like his sister, save for her dark eyes.
As the dark-haired girl crossed her arms, "You're a little too hard on her, plus she works too much, you know she deserves a break," Iyo told him.
The revelation wasn't lost on him, and he agreed. "I know she does, but she can just be so hard sometimes," he said as he ran a hand through his hair. "But you're right, I will go apologize. But it's getting late, so I should probably do it tomorrow," Hei reasoned.
As Iyo nodded, his answer seemed satisfactory to her.
None of them realized that there happened to be a shadowy figure cloaked in darkness around the palace. Heading for the energetic Queen they were so fond of.

(With Naruto)
Breaking into the Queen's temple was surprisingly easy, or at least it was if you were an experienced ninja like himself.
The guards we too spaced apart, there were too many blind spots, at least for him anyway. Although to the Queen's credit, he doubted the woman would expect someone with chakra to break into her home. Or maybe she could? If these supposed powers were anything to go off of. You know, now that he thought about it wouldn't that discredit her ability to see into the future?
Nevertheless, he was already too far into this to turn back now, he might as well see this through to the end. He needed to find a way back home, and if this woman had some power to tell him how to get there then he would sure as he'll check her out.
It was the only information he had gotten, the only lead he had gotten in his these last few weeks of being stranded in this feudal area that would one day be labeled Japan.
And true to his word he hadn't slept a wink in about three winks. But despite popular belief, it wasn't that bad, the old lady was just worrying a bit too much. He was fine, better than fine. It's just that he let himself get a bit too relaxed when he entered the city, it reminded him a bit too much of Konoha for his liking.
Swooping across the rooftops he got to what he could only assume to be the Queen's chambers. It was the most fortified place in the entire building, or at least he thought it to be. But his Shinobi training helped him in that department.
Dropping down to the connecting balcony, he found himself almost at a loss for words… not expecting him to honestly get this born. Or at least he hadn't thought this far ahead. Kurama would of course berate him, but the fox was asleep right now, had been since he'd arrived.
What was he supposed to do again?
A figure he could only assume to be the Queen arose from her slumber. As her voice reached his ears, "Huh? Hei, is that you?" She inquired, Naruto froze, his mind running blank as he hadn't thought of his next step ahead.
Maybe the lack of sleep was getting to him. But even so, he could still make out the woman's voice, sweet, slightly high-pitched, yet somewhat dignified. It was like honey to his ears, like sugar passing from her lips, and intoxicating all the same.
It was also what nearly brought him out of his stupor, as she likely had spotted his shadowy figure across her balcony.
"Hey! You're not supposed to be here, if you're one of those assassin guys again I'm gonna have to warn you that it's not gonna turn out so well!" She chirped, getting ready for a fight. As Naruto could see the shadow of her warming up her in the air. For some reason, Naruto also got flashbacks of his time with Tsunade or Sakura, although for some reason this woman was far scarier.
As such he did the only thing that came to his mind was trying to reason with the woman. He waved his arms around in a placating fashion to try to dissuade any fight that might ensue if she were to alert the guards of his presence.
"Hey, sorry, I'm not trying to kill you, I'm not an Assassin!" Naruto panically tried to iterate, although the irony wasn't lost on him. He wasn't trying to kill anyone right now, even if he was an assassin, or a shinobi at least.
Nonetheless, the woman seemed to take him at his word, as she only quirked her head, asking. "Huh, then why are you here?" She inquired, her fist still raised towards him in the shadows, not that he could see much of it.
As Naruto took a deep breath, trying to formulate exactly why he was there. There wasn't any turning back now. "I need your help," he started, and as the woman heard the desperation within his voice she ended up lowering. And had the thin paper divider not been obscuring his vision he would have seen the almost shocked expression across his face.
He took another deep breath, "My home, Konohagakure no Sato is very far away. So far away you won't even believe it, and I can't get back." He informed. "But I need to, my people need me, and even if my best friend is there I don't know if he can do everything alone. I just… please… I heard you were capable of producing miracles, or you might have some knowledge or know of a place where I can find my way back. I-I… I just want to go home."
Naruto didn't know why he was telling her this, maybe he had been bottling everything up in the past weeks and just needed someone to tell this to. Kurama was gone, or at least very exhausted to the point he could not enter his mindscape anymore.
And the truth is he was tired, exhausted even, and the weight upon his shoulders was immense. Yet at the same time, he felt the burden lighten ever so slightly when he told this mysterious woman about his problems.
… but the silence was all he heard.
Nothing.
As the woman had stopped in all of her movement, frozen. Not that Naruto could see any of it, as he had his head firmly on the ground, unable to take the weight any longer.
The soft pitter-patter of movement across the floor reached his ears, which he could only assume to be the woman leaving to alert her guards. But what he didn't hear was the soft sliding of the paper door in front of him, too engrossed in his thoughts.
A soft hand was laid upon his shoulder.
He turned up to see golden eyes (1) looking at him with concern and compassion in her gaze. His heart nearly leaped at the sight.
She was unlike anything he imagined, and comparing her voice to honey was nothing compared to her golden orbs as well. Her hair was a dark brown, and it ran down her back in long twin strands along the sides. As the back was tied in a high ponytail, with a few hairs left loose around her face. Showing off her pale, almost pink skin and forehead. As well as him swinging her beautiful heart-shaped face that sparkled like the night sky, teeming with life. With red-ish orange tribal markings running down both her legs and arms.
Her attire was strange if a bit too revealing for his tastes, as it did nothing to hide her beauty. And he had never seen anything like it. It was almost like an apron, with the back stretching down as far as the ground. Get the front was as short as Sakura's shorts, and if he was observant enough or had the right angle it was in all likelihood he could see her undergarments with nothing but a simple glance. Brown leather cords, with red wire thing the two pieces right below her chest.
And what a chest did she have, now he wasn't a pervert by any means, not compared to the legendary Jiraiya that is. But he did have a healthy appreciation for the female body. And if he were to say it would even rival the legendary Tsunade Senju in sheer size. And the way she showed it off in the low-cut sleeveless outfit left almost nothing to the imagination.
Not that he was paying attention to that of course, as he was fully engrossed within her next few words.
"I'm sorry to hear that, please tell me everything that you can," she spoke in compassion.
And so he did, he told her, he told her everything. As she ushered her into her chambers he revealed everything he had been holding back for so long.
About how the Fourth Great Shinobi War started, about Akatsuki, Neji's death. About how he ended up here, battling Kaguya with Sasuke. And how they had sealed her, with the bitch going as far to be petty and open a portal and trap him in it just to spit him.
But he also told her of things she didn't need to hear, how he hadn't slept, how every time he did he saw the faces of everyone still being trapped in Madara's dastardly Infinite Tsukyomi. And how every time he closed his eyes he could still see Neji dying right before him.
Eventually, it got to the point that he was just rambling. But all the while the Queen, Himiko, he learned her name was, she was quiet, listening to every word he said.
Eventually, the weight upon his shoulders was too much to bear, and his eyes closed for the first time in a long while…
XXX
Hours later.
In the morning glow the city was just as beautiful, if not more so. Villagers left their homes, chatting about or even in the act of opening their shops for their market.
But he didn't see any of that, as the first thing Naruto registered was the low hums gracing his ears. It was strange, almost foreign even, but the strangest thing that happened was what he saw when he opened his eyes.
Two, big mounds graced his eyes as he looked up. Mounds which the student of the legendary Jiraiya knew not to be mountains. As he began to realize that he was also lying on the softest head ready he'd ever felt in his life. He almost didn't want to get up, although, of course, he did. Shooting off of the woman out of sheer embarrassment of the whole ordeal.
"Himiko, what are you doing?" He questioned. As a flush of red lit up his face, he eyed the exuberant Queen with what would have been a firm glare. But he was too flustered with the whole thing to be anything but angry.
The young woman only pouted her lips at the fact that he had run away so quickly. "What? You're whiskers are so cute! Did you know you purr in your sleep?" She said enthusiastically, trying to reach her hand up once again to his cheek to pet him. Which was apparently what she had been doing all night, or at least since he had fallen asleep a few hours ago.
But he only swatted her hand away, her face appearing like a kicked puppy with how she looked at him.
But Naruto only steeled his resolve, the morning haziness having worn off in an instant, as memories were reminded to him within his mind. "Look, Himiko, about last night," he started, honestly not believing that he told her all he did. As the blonde got straight to the point.
Himiko realized the serious expression across his face and grew a look of her own as well. A refined expression that only a queen could produce. "You're from another world," she recalled, as if it were the most mundane thing ever. But he knew that even the mere suggestion of such was crazy, yet for some reason she believed him.
But that's when something happened that he wasn't expecting, as she looked at him once again with those eyes of concern and comfort she held. But that's when her somber words left her lips. "Look, Naruto, it's sad to say but I can't help you…" she told him bitterly, and honestly she had never felt so powerless before.
As Naruto looked down, he shouldn't have gotten this hopes up. He would have to find some other way to get back home, no matter how long it took her would find it.
But that's when Himiko continued, "But I can try!" She told him, grasping into his hands and bringing it close to her heart. "I don't know a way to send you back to your but I'm sure you and I can find a home someway," she reasoned, hopeful that they would be able to help Naruto with his goal. "That's why, as First Queen of the country of Yamatai I will do what I can to help you!" She swore.
As Naruto looked into her eyes he saw the truth she held within the. It honestly almost reminded him of himself, and of the times he also made promises he would go as far as to risk his life to accomplish.
"I-I… I— thank you," Naruto was dumbfounded, not thinking that the woman would agree to help him.
As the Queen smiled, "No problem, and don't worry, we'll get you home as soon as possible!" She chirped, assuring him that everything would be okay.
But for some reason, her smile was contagious, as Naruto too gained a smile that shined as brightly as the sun. Such a sight was enough to lighten up the whole room, and it even sent Himiko's heart soaring within her chest. As she slightly turned her head from his gaze, a light dusting upon her cheeks for reasons she did not yet know why.
Sadly, their little moment ended as a new voice made their presence known. Himiko's brother slid open the door, instantly spotting the new and uninvited figure that had broken into their temple.
"Hey! Who are you? Guards, come quickly!" Hei shouted.
XXX
A Few Minutes Later
Despite the holes within the security, the guards came into Himiko's room surprisingly fast. As if they had to do it very often, which guessing by Himiko's more free-spirited nature might be the case.
Nonetheless, ten guards rushed into the room as quickly as possible, each sporting their very very sharp and very pointy spears directly at the supposed intruder. That supposed intruder just so happened to be him. Of course, he could always take them down with ease, but he doubted that would prove to be very beneficial for his new deal with their Queen.
And as such the only thing he did was lightly poke the tip of the closest spear, damn they were sharp. As each guard glared at him with a fierce loyalty he had never imagined. But then again given the deep happiness and prosperity he had seen and heard from the old lady upon entering it wasn't a surprise at all.
But while Himiko's brother was more adamant about the guard's attack, the queen was not so enthusiastic. "Hei-Nii, stop it, that's no way to treat a guest!" The brown-haired ruler shimmered, as she pummeled a flurry of light blows across the older boy's chest.
The suggestion appalled her brother to his very core, as such he looked at her shocked. "Himiko you cannot be serious," he told her adamantly.
But the girl only put her hands on her hips, and gave him a flat look, and he bristled. "Sister!" He winned, adamant at not caving in. "At least tell me you received a vision about him, something!"
Naruto looked at her expectantly, wondering if that was true. It would explain why she had taken to him so swiftly, and believe him when she did.
At which Himiko nodded adamantly, gaining a relieved sigh from her brother. But soon she quickly remembered the truth, "Ah poo~" she realized. "I forgot to sleep!" She had been too preoccupied petting Naurto's whisker marks all night to get any messages from the heavens.
Himiko's brother palmed his face, as Naruto had a huge sweat drop run down the side of his cheek. "At least tell me he's trustworthy," Hei sighed.
To which Himiko adamantly nodded, her hands on her hips and a smile gracing her face.
But her brother only sighed once again.
XXX
Weeks later.
Life within Yamatai was strange, but it was a welcome change of pace rather than wandering the endless roads of Japan. Searching for a magical way to travel dimensions was not an easy thing to do. Now if only he had been gifted something like Sasuke's sharingan, with his ability to use space-firm techniques with his sheer ocular power. With that ability, he had no doubt he would be able to recreate something like Kaguya's own jutsu to return to his home.
Sasuke…
Now that was an interesting thought, and he would often wonder what his old friend was doing. Now, he wasn't so naive to think that his friend once adamant about destroying Konoha would just suddenly be willing to go back. At least that's what he thought, but at the moment he wasn't so sure. He wasn't sure about a lot of things.
Would Sasuke come back for him someday? What about Sakura, Kakashi-sensei, and the rest of the shinobi nations caught up in the infinite Tsukuyomi? He wasn't worried about them that much, now that Kaguya was sealed the bijuu could be freed from the Gedo Mazo. And with each of the tailed beast's chakra, and Sasuke's rinnegan, his dark-haired Uchiha friend would be able to deactivate Kaguya's devastating jutsu just like Hagaromo-jiji had instructed.
But what then? Would Sasuke still be seen as a traitor? Would he still be adamant about destroying his home, or would he finally see the light in the face of his supposed death?
So many questions, not enough answers, at least not until he got back…
Life with Himiko was strange, he knew he liked the woman. She had a level of exuberance and enthusiasm that was unmatched. And she definitely was beautiful, and kind as well, no other person would pledge to help him as much as she did.
And the queen was true to her word, as she had been asking around for any supernatural abilities such as their own. Subtly of course, to not to draw attention. She had even hired researchers and even some historians and wise men to gather knowledge on the subject, but sadly there was no such luck.
He didn't fault her of course, he would still be stuck looking for loose ends on the subject. That's why he was so adamant about going to Queen Himiko as soon as he heard of any semblance of the supernatural.
But what he had hoped to be the ability of chakra was not so. Kidou, as she called it, a strange ability to manipulate a form of spiritual energy that nobody really knew about. At least Himiko didn't know anything about it, which was just like her to be honest. Everything about her abilities was inherently instinctual. And apparently, her vast wisdom was received in visions during her sleep, which was almost like the ability Shion had had. Although her ocular ability seemed to be more in line with knowing the possibility of death within people.
Of course, Himiko's brother, Hei he'd come to know, hadn't taken to him leeching off of his sister's kindness for free. Honestly, he would not allow himself to take advantage of her kindness either, she was just such a likable girl that it would pain him to do so. Which resulted in him helping her in the only way he knew how.
His shinobi experience proved fruitful in the Queen's temple in terms of its defenses. After showing the guards that he was worthy to instruct them— which really just meant punching them all into the ground within 3 seconds flat. He's taken to training the queen's guards as well as providing a new defense layout that would prove to be more effective. They had taken to it kindly, as all of them were adamant about serving their queen, even if it meant giving up their lives.
But more so he'd also been delegated as Himiko's personal guard.
That of course had been at Hei's adamant refusal, but Himiko was just as stubborn. Hei was surprised as well, he had offered Himiko countless times to hire a bodyguard. But every time she had been offered— and even when Hei had hired a bodyguard— she had run off for a while and proved she could escape any of the guards they had hired.
So Himiko's offering to become her bodyguard was surprising, but he was willing to take her up on it. After all, it would do well for anyone to break into the temple… again. But it all worked out in the end, and as such he was at Himiko's side for most of the day. Which was too dissimilar to the escort jobs he'd taken as a genin.
Such a job proved to be… interesting.

(With Naruto)
"Iyo you have to hide me!" Naruto shouted, rushing into said young girl's quarters.
As she blinked, narrowing her eyes at the newest blonde within Yamatai. "Stranger-san, it wouldn't do kindly to break into my room without knocking," she said flatly.
And Naruto gave her an equally flat look, putting his hands on his hips, which was reminiscent of her older mentor. "Come on Iyo, I thought I told you not to call me that," Naruto nearly whined, which only caused the girl to look at him expectantly, "Fine, Fine… here you go," he told her, realizing what she wanted. He reached into his pocket and retrieved a delicious treat for the young girl.
As he dangled it right into her awaiting palms. "Thank you, Naruto-San," she stated, reaching for the candy.
But he pulled back, taking the floating treat away from her as she sent him what he could only assume was the girl's version of a vicious glare. As he wagged his finger, "Ah, ah, ah, what did we talk about?"
As she gave him a pout, sighing, "Thank you, Naruto-Nii," Iyo corrected, as Naruto finally gave her the treat. A pleasurable moan escaped her lips as she devoured the candy within seconds.
Naruto chuckled, this had almost become a routine for the two of them. Ever since he had found out the girl had a sweet tooth, courtesy of the fact that Himiko couldn't keep a secret to save her life. At least when it came to people she cared about. Sure enough, he liked the girl, she was almost like a more reserved yet equally as spontaneous younger Himiko. And it was no wonder that the two were related. With Himiko being about ten or so years her senior, he found out the queen was the young age of twenty-three, just six years older than he was.
And as Iyo got finished with her sweets she looked at Naruto, questioning. "Aren't you supposed to be guarding Himiko-Onee-sama? Not bothering Hei-Nii." She asked, given the fact that he was supposed to be the Queen's bodyguard.
But Naruto only waved her off, "Nah, Himiko is pretty strong when she's awake, so she can handle herself just fine." It was when she was asleep that he had to worry about her. The usually energetic Queen could be somehow calm and serene when she was sleeping. So much so that it would take an actual thunderstorm or hurricane to wake the woman up. He supposed it was because she was always so enamored when she received visions with her strange powers. And it wouldn't do for another intruder to break into her room.
"So you've taken to bothering Hei-Nii?" She finished.
As Naruto rubbed the back of his head, "No… well, yes, because you see—" he tried to tell her but stopped mid-sentence, his eyes widening, and he rushed towards the girl.
"Naruto-nii, what are you—Ah?!" As Naruto instantly took hold of the small girl on top of her mattress, he promptly placed the girl upon his lap. Subsequently, the door to the room opened and angered Hei rushed into the room.
"Where is he?— Y-You!" He shouted in anger, his hair having been painted a pure gold, as he looked toward the perpetrator in rage.
"I'm sorry, Goldie, I don't know what you mean. I've been here with little Iyo the entire time," Naruto said, looking innocently off to the side, whistling his merry tune. A large blush of embarrassment sprouted upon Iyo's face because she was placed on the older boy's lap.
Such a response nearly sent Hei on edge, but it was a new voice that broke into the room and stopped their innocent little game.
"Hei-Nii, is that you? Hahaha, what happened?!" Himiko questioned with a laugh at her brother's predicament, stepping into Iyo's room as she looked at her brother expectantly.
As her brother's eye twitched, "'What happened' was your little bodyguard decided to dye my hair gold in my sleep, do something!" He demanded, pointing at the not-so-innocent-looking blonde within the room.
But Himiko only smiled at the prank, laughing, "Really, why would I do that?" She questioned, but as she turned her head towards Naruto a slight pang within her chest erupted. Seeing Naruto and Iyo sitting with each other did that to her.
Of course, her brother didn't notice that, "Because he's making a mockery of me, huh? Himiko? Himiko!" He called out, trying to get his sister's attention, but her attention was solely on Naruto and Iyo.
"Hime, you know I would never do that," Naruto pleaded, the young teenager still resting upon his lap.
"Uh Huh? Sure, whatever…" she said almost out of pure reflex, nodding to an invisible beat only she could hear. Hei took that as a sign that he wasn't going to get his way, huffing as he left the room, storming off.
As Naruto smiled, going to thank the woman, "Thank, Himiko-hime, I couldn't have gotten away with it without you!" He said exuberantly.
But the woman only turned away, not bothering to look him in the eye. "Uh-huh, yeah," she sighed, following after her brother."
All the while Naruto held a newly formed frown across his face as she left.
Meanwhile, as Himiko left she began to reflect on certain things, namely what she had just seen with Naruto and Iyo. And for some reason, she didn't like it. Although don't get her wrong, she loved the fact that Naruto and her young apprentice got along. But there was something more to it, something she didn't like to admit.
But the thought of the two of them being so close bothered her, for reasons she did not know. They had a lot in common, Iyo and Naruto were just four years apart in age. That was nearly nothing during this day in age. Usually, someone like Iyo, especially considering she was of royal blood, would have been married off by now. Not that she would allow that of course. In fact, a woman, a queen no less, being her age and unmarried was almost unheard of.
This truth hasn't been unknown to her, and she had always been okay with giving herself up for her nation. But for some reason, she felt the growing pressure more and more. The distant feeling of loneliness and desire for love that tore into her heart was more prevalent. Demanding her to act for some reason, not that she would allow herself to do so.
But even still, that didn't stop a stray hand from reaching up to her face. Finding the dark strand of hair running down her head. As she thought about Naruto's newest 'prank' on her brother.
Maybe she should try to change up her style, she always wondered what she would look like with golden hair…

Hours later.
(Himiko's quarters)
A knock came at her door, "Hey, Himiko-hime, can I come in?" Naruto's voice rang out through the door. However, he was met with no response, which only caused him to frown slightly. Nevertheless, he reached his hand towards the door knob, opening it without a second thought.
It was only then that a shout came into the door, "Wait, Naru, don't come in!" The queen shouted, but it was too late, as he was graced with Himiko's soft features he had become accustomed to. Although his eyes still looked in surprise at seeing her.
"H-Himiko, did you change your hair?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow. The girl in question bristled under his gaze, blushing. And true to his words she had, as a strange hair-like golden headpiece was placed upon her head. It was shorter than her usual hair, to her shoulders, with orange highlights at the end. She also wore an orange and white robe along her back, with a white veil covering his head. Orange … his favorite color.
"I-I did," she stuttered out, shuffling under her feet. As a stray hand came to her head, twirling her hair along her finger. "Do you… do you like it?" The queen questioned. It was strange, as usually Himiko was headstrong, and always talked without holding any of her reservations. But now she was nervous, a far cry from how he had known her.
But all her nervousness was washed away with Naruto's simple words. As he gave her a thumbs up, "You look great, beautiful even," he told her with a smile honestly; orange was the best color of course. His response sent a furious blush across her face.
"I-I… thank you," she told him in a stutter. Which was honestly reminiscent of her younger apprentice. But he inwardly shrugged at that, maybe it was genetic after all. Before the young queen changed the subject. "So, what did you come in here for?" She inquired, looking at him expectantly.
As Naruto's eyes widened in realization, "Oh yeah, Hei wanted me to remind you to go to bed early," he clapped his hands together.
As a look of horror dawned upon her face, "What! No, I can't, I don't wanna!" She nearly whined like a child, a far cry from the intense nervousness she had felt just seconds prior.
Naruto chuckled, "Heh, well tomorrow is apparently supposed to be a big day, some representatives from China are coming. And Hei wants you to be up bright and early to greet them," he informed, although he didn't understand all the political stuff.
But even still Himiko just pouted with a frown, "But I don't want to, I'm not tired!" She whined once again.
Naruto sighed, this nearly becoming a common occurrence for the two of them, one that he didn't want to deal with at the moment. "Well, is there anything I can do to help you?" He offered. Not wanting to hear Hei or Iyo's complaints when their Queen was too tired to even show up.
As an idea came to Himiko's mind, a light blush formed across her face. "Well…" she trailed off, pushing her fingers together. Which was honestly reminiscent of a certain Hyuga heiress he had once known.
"Well?" Naruto questioned with a raised eyebrow.
But the Queen's blush became even more prominent. "Well, y-you could…" she trailed off once again, before Himiko steeled her resolve, shouting. "You could sleep with me!" She finished.
An equally red blush adorned Naruto's face. "W-what? Himiko, I like you but I don't think you should be making such offers so blatantly," he told her. This was almost as embarrassing as that time he found out Shion had asked him to consummate a child with her.
As steam seemed to pour out of Himiko's ears, "What! No, that's not what I meant!" She tried to rectify this, but as she grabbed his hand and led him across the room toward her royal mattress. Tentatively discarding her new headpiece and robe as she placed him on the bed. Naruto blushed all the while at the implication, yet he was powerless to stop it, and he was left speechless.
"There, we should be able to sleep comfy like this," she chirped, as she laid across the bed herself. A sigh of relief unexpectedly escaped his lips at the comment.
"Umm, Himiko, what are you doing?" He finally asked.
As she quirked her head, "Huh? I said we were going to be sleeping together," she said innocently, as she had almost completely forgotten about the innuendo she had previously talked about. Honestly, she can be such an airhead.
"Oh, oh," Naruto realized, his mind coming back to reality. "But Himiko, I'm supposed to be guarding you, I can't do that if I'm right here," he told her.
As she hummed, "hmm, hmm… Nope~!" She chirped, the answer seeming obvious to her.
"But Himiko-hime," he tried to argue.
"Nope~"
"But—"
"Nope~"
"Himi—"
"Nope~" she chirped, finally placing a finger upon his lips to shut him up. "You promised to help me and this will," she stated. "Now get over here," she told him, ushering him over to bring him closer to her on the mattress.
"Fine, fine," he told her, slightly embarrassed, he did make the offer after all. But as he got even closer to his energetic royal friend she grabbed him, pulling him close. "H-Himiko what are you—?" He tried to ask, as she nearly fully pressed him into her bust.
"Isn't it obvious?" The queen questioned, "I want to play with your whiskers!" She chirped, bringing her hand up to rest upon his cheek.
But as he tried to sway her hand he couldn't stop her in time."Hey, hey! Himiko don't you—" as a low rumbling escaped from his lips.
"So cute!"

(?)
It was strange, a bright light eclipsed her vision, blinding her completely. And as she tried to bring a hand to cover her eyes a loud sound reached her ears, or should she say sounds? As hundreds of loud noises— voices, she realized— reached her ears. They seemed happy, ecstatic even. The cheers nearly became overwhelming.
That's when her vision returned to her, as she caught a whiff of where she was located. A village, one that seemed almost like her own in terms of architecture. She was surrounded by the village's occupants, all happily cheering towards what seemed to be a large building within the center.
But the most shocking thing was what was within the village's background. As on the mountain overlooking everyone, we're six stone faces carved out of its side, each more striking than the last.
That's when the cheers and shouts became even louder, as her attention was once again directed towards the large building everyone was looking at. Her own golden eyes looked inquisitively as she saw a man.
His features were weird, almost unnoticeable given the fact that most of his figure was covered up. Although she did take notice that he resembled one of one of the heads along the mountain. His hair was silver, and spiked up almost as much as Naruto's own, if not more so. His face was covered by a black face mask hiding the bottom of his face. A forehead protector of a similar color that looked awfully like Naruto's own. His blackened eyes surveyed everyone around them, and she doubted he even saw her. She idly realized that he looked awfully like Naruto's sensei as he had described him. What was his name?… Takashin or something.
"Lord Kakashi!" "Lord Sixth!" "It's Lord Hatake!" Many of the crowd chanted, answering her question. But the strangest thing about his apparel was the large, white, and red veiled hat that had the kanji for Fire on it.
Another male stepped forward, this one being much younger, almost her age. With dark hair and black eyes; he too wore a similar forehead protector with a leaf-like design… just like Naruto's.
But a new figure came from behind them both; this one striking an even larger uproar within the crowd.
"That's lord seventh!" "Uchiha-sama!" "That's Lord Sasuke; he saved us!" Many of them chanted. As she saw the aforementioned figure. And if she said Kakashi's figure was dark this male sure eclipsed him into the moon. His hair was dark, and long, covering a majority of his face and eye, and he had a dark cloak that wrapped around his frame.
She didn't get a good view of what happened, but she did see that the silver-haired man did hand his hat to this Sasuke fellow. And the crowd went wild…
Her golden eyes burst open like a gunshot, and even her body shot up from her bed, the morning drowsiness having dissipated within an instant. Even her heart was beating faster, like a sequence of explosions, and her breath was also ragged.
Such a stir seemed to awake the other occupant within the room. Naruto, who had seemingly accidentally fallen asleep right next to her. "Huh? Himiko-hime, what's wrong?" He asked, a slight panic in his voice. He shot up even faster than she did, as alert and ready as his shinobi training could provide.
Himiko looked all around, which only seemed to stir Naruro's worries even more. "Naruto?" She said suddenly.
"Yes, Himiko, what is it?" Naruto asked, looking around as well, trying to see if there was another intruder. He inwardly reprimanded himself for falling asleep when he was supposed to look after Himiko's life.
But all his worries stopped as two hands crept onto his cheeks, forcing his head to look her straight in the eye. Her golden eyes gazed into his cerulean once's, as if the sun was meeting the ocean itself, and his worries seemed to be soothed within an instant. "Naruto, I saw them…" she said, a bright smile across her face.
But Naruto only gained a look of confusion, "You saw what?" He questioned, not understanding what she meant.
But Himiko's smile only grew, as a small happy giggle erupted from her lips. "I saw them, Konoha, I saw it," she reiterated, happy to have found some information on Naruto's home. As she began to tell him of the vision she had just received, and while it wasn't much, it was something.
Soon a look of realization began to form in Naruto's eyes, as he too gained a euphoric smile. A pair of contagious laughs erupting within the room.
End Chapter.
This was a story requested by KingofP0wers, who suggested a few stories with a lot of the Japanese servants.
I figured Himiko was a fun character to write, and she was.
Now, originally this was supposed to be a one-shot, but this got WAY too long and decided to shorten it down to separate parts. This might be Two-shot, maybe a three-shot, who knows.
I wrote this a little while ago, before the most recent GudaGuda event
I was also hopping this would be a good enough a catalyst for Himiko... Spoiler, it didn't work. Himiko did not come home, big sad.
Also, Himiko's brother doesn't have a canon name, so I just went with Hei, because why not?
