Well hello! So, in honor of Christmas, here is a new chapter of my Azure Redi-fanfiction. I start planning the next chapter. See you in the next chapter, and Merry Christmas everyone.

Shizuka sat with Kaito at a table in a cafe, and looked at Kaito with a blush.

"Well, what did you want to talk to me about?" Kaito asked.

"Kaito-kun, I have a crush on you", Shizuka confessed her feelings to Kaito.

"I'm flattered, but why didn't you tell me about your feelings earlier?" Kaito asked.

"I thought what if you already had a girlfriend", Shizuka said. "I even avoided introducing you to my childhood friend Mōri Ran because I was afraid you would fall in love with Ran and reject me because of Ran. You may be hard to believe me when I say that Ran is more cute than me, as a result, the boys don't notice me when I'm near Ran. I'm really tired of it. I'm jealous of Ran, and as a result I have begun to think of him bad. It is just the result of being angry with boys who are more fascinating about Ran's beauty than my about my appearance".

"You don't have to worry about that because I like you Shizuka. Well, shall we start dating?" Kaito asked.

Shizuka blushed a little but nodded.

(End of the flashback)

Shizuka sat on the sofa in Akase's living room, reminiscing about her recent meeting with Kaito. Thinking about the meeting in question made Shizuka blush a little.

Kabam! An explosion was heard from Akasen's lab, so Shizuka ran to Akasen's lab:

"Are you okay, Akasa Hakase?!"

"Yes. A liquid just exploded, Shizuka-kun. By the way, now that your parents, and your little sister, and Kaito-kun, and his mother know your secret, still don't tell anyone", Akasa said.

"No need to worry", Shizuka said.

(Later)

"How do I find those men in black? I couldn't ask them directly from Miyano Akemi, who is currently in pretrial detention, because Akemi might warn those men. That's Kogorō", Shizuka thought as she saw Kogorō standing behind the wall of a bus stop canopy, pretending to be reading a newspaper, who was currently spying on Tokyo a man walking on the sidewalk.

Kogorō then went to follow the man he had spied so far to the golf supply store, and Shizuka followed Kogorō.

"So Kogorō is spying on that man!" Shizuka thought after realizing the situation.

Kogorō went to the store, and took photos of the man he was spying on with the camera he was holding.

"Who is that man?" Shizuka thought, looking at the man Kogorō was spying on.

The man then left the shop, and Kogorō followed the man with Shizuka:

"Tell Rani that I'll be home late today because I'll eat at a small restaurant after completing this shadowing mission".

Shizuka nodded.

(In the evening)

A bonfire was lit at the festival site by some masked people playing drums.

The sun had just set.

The festivals were at Gunman Pfrecetuuri, and the festivals were the Fire Festivals of Akaoni village. Some people were dressed in white and blue festival costumes, and there were lanterns in some places.

Some people threw burning torches into a large bonfire.

A woman threw a torch into the fire, but then she and some others saw something in the fire.

Clack! The bonfire began to collapse.

"Yeeeeeeee!" The woman who threw the recent torch into the fire screamed in horror as she realized what she had seen in the recent fire.

(Kogorō's home)

"Heh heh heh! Oh, what an easy case!" Kogorō said sitting on the sofa in his study looking at the money he had just received from his task. "I get five hundred thousand yen for spying on a man for three days! I guess there are cool cases like this every now and then".

"It just means society is starting to accept you as a great detective!" Ran said.

"Heh heh! That's because lately I've been mysteriously solving one difficult case after another without realizing it!" Kogorō said.

I'm the one who solves the crimes you're investigating", Shizuka thought as she sat on the couch. He had a white face mask on his face.

"By the way, who was that man you spied on today?" Shizuka asked.

"Negishi Masaki", Kogorō said.

"At the Akaon Fire Festival today at 20:00, a burned body of a man was found in the festival tower in Gunma prefecture", The news anchor said on TV. "It was found out from his possessions that the man was Negishi Masaki-san, 42 years old".

On the television was a picture of a slightly round, pale-skinned man with a dark beard, dark eyes, and wearing a brown suit. His scalp was a bit bald.

"Didn't we just talk about a guy with the same name as that guy?" Shizuka asked.

"Yes we talked! How is that possible?!" Kogorō asked standing up, then walked over to the television.

"An investigation is pending into the possibility of suicide", The news anchor said.

"I'm sure of it. I've seen him! There's no mistake about it!" Kogorō shouted in surprise.

"What's wrong, Dad? Do you know her?" Ran asked.

"Not only do I not know him, but I was spied on in him for the past three days", Kogorō said.

"For three days?" Ran asked.

"Did Negishi Masaki's wife hire you to spy on Negishi Masaki?" Shizuka asked(I got a little inspiration for this from Harry Potter and the Halfblooded Prince, which I don't own the rights to).

"As far as I know, Negishi Masaki is not married, but his friend, Abe Yutaka hired me to spy on Negishi Masaki", Kogorō said.

(On the next day)

"Dad's taking a long time", Ran said, standing with Shizuka in the front yard of the Tokyo Police Station. "Dad must be late. Dad said he just had to go and give his statement".

"It can't be helped. Kogorō was spying on the late Negishi until the day before Negishi died", Shizuka thought. "There is no more important witness to the police than Kogorō! What kind of case is this? Kogorō, come out quickly so you can tell us! I can't wait!"

"Okay", The policeman said on the phone, and wrote something in his notebook on the table. "I understand".

Another policeman read the papers in the folder.

"F-Five hundred million yen?!" Kogorō asked as he was with Megure in the interrogation room.

"That's right. Negishi-san has a five hundred million yen life insurance policy", Megure said.

"It's just too weird!" Kogorō said, and looked at the man standing on his right. "Why are you the only recipient of that huge amount, Abe Yutaka-san?"

Abe Yutaka smiled.

"Besides, you're the one who hired me to spy on Negishi-san!" Kogorō shouted. "Why are you getting all that life insurance money?"

"Heh! It was a game", Yutaka said.

"What?!" Megure asked.

"We've known each other for twenty years, since we were in college. One day when we were drinking, Negishi said this", Abe said:

"We're both 42. We're not too young anymore... I mean, why don't we have a bet on who will live longer?"

I said this:

"Heh! Hmm...Sounds interesting". Negishi then said this:

"Why don't we bet five hundred million yen as a prize for the winner of the bet?"

I was convinced of his idea".

"So the two of you made each other the benefactor of the five hundred million yen insurance coverage?" Megure asked.

"But I didn't think I could win after just three months", Abe said.

"Then why did you ask Mōri-kun to follow Negishi-san?" Megure asked.

"It wasn't for any particular reason", Abe said. "Recently, Negishi had come to ask for my help. He said he suspected that someone had been spying on him and that he would be killed soon".

"He was going to be killed?" Megure asked.

"At first I thought Negishi was joking", Abe said. "But Negishi was acting strange, so I let Mōri-san follow Negishi for three days just to be sure. Right, Mōri-san?"

Kogorō said nothing but looked angry.

"Well, I have work to do, so I'm leaving now", Abe said. "I'm the CEO of a small company, so I'm very busy. Please find the person who killed Negishi as soon as possible".

"Heh! When we find that person, you'll be the first to know!" Kogorō said.

"I'm looking forward to it, Metante-san", Abe said, starting from the interrogation room.

"Abe Yutaka is the only one who can be a murderer", Megure said. "But he has the perfect alibi".

(Later)

An anxious Kogorō walked with the girls on the Tokyo sidewalk as the sun set:

"Abe Yutaka is suspicious! Abe is extremely suspicious! There is no doubt that Abe is a murderer! Five blocked thousand yen! I got five blocked thousand yen for spying on Negishi for just three days! Any way you look at it, that's too much money. And that the confident attitude that Abe adopted really makes me suspicious!"

"Then why don't you arrest Abe?" Ran asked.

"Because Aben's alibi is perfect", Kogorō said after stopping. "Not only that, but I confirmed his alibi!"

"Huh?!" The girls were amazed.

"The body was found on Sunday, the night of the Fire Festival. And I was spying on Negishi until last Saturday night", Kogorō said. "In other words, the crime took place between Saturday night and Sunday night, when the festival tower was lit".

"So based on that, Abe is the person you suspect killed Negishi during that time, correct?" Ran asked.

"That's not possible", Kogorō said. "From Saturday morning until Monday afternoon, that is today, Abe was on the road. Abe went on a business trip to Kyushu with some of his subordinates!"

"You're right. When I saw you spying on Negishi yesterday, Negishi was wearing sunglasses when he went to the golf shop. Did Negishi take his sunglasses off his eyes at any point while you were spying on him?" Shizuka asked.

"Not that I recall", Kogorō said. "Oh yeah. He took those sunglasses off once while playing golf".

"Mōri-san, what if the crime was committed sometime last week before Abe hired you?" Shizuka suggested. "Then the body may have been in the festival tower for a couple of days before that tower was set on fire".

"Then Abe has had enough now to plan the crime she committed very carefully", Kogorō said.

"Then why do you think Abe did it?" Ran asked.

"Because my detective instincts tell me so", Kogorō said. "I see", Ran was a little surprised.

"Abe Yutaka's alibi?" Shizuka thought. "Kogorō is right. The situation is suspicious".

(One week later)

The sun was setting as Shizuka and Ran cleaned Kogorō's study.

"Shit!" Kogorō entered his study, carrying a brown envelope in his left hand, before closing the door to his study, and sat down on the sofa in his study, and opened the envelope, spreading the photos inside on the table in front of him.

"Dad, what's wrong?" Ran asked.

"That punk Abe cashed in on Negishi-san's insurance money! He's got all five hundred million yen! Now I'm going to tear down Abe's alibi no matter what!" Kogorō said.

"What are those pictures?" Ran asked.

"This is his schedule from Abe's trip and what he took", Kogorō said, examining the pictures, and the pictures were flames Ky pictures of him. "I asked Megure Keibu to lend me these as a favor. There must be clues in these pictures. Just look! I, Great Detective Mōri Kogorō-sama, will find Abe's trick!"

"Daddy's on fire!" Ran said.

"Let's just hope he doesn't burn", Shizuka thought, her right eye twitching a little.

"But Dad, since Abe was still on the ground, couldn't Abe have made the round trip in a few hours?" Ran asked.

"You're absolutely right", Kogorō said, taking the paper from the table. "But there are no holes in Abe's alibi, especially between Saturday night and Sunday night, when the crime apparently took place. Abe played mahjong with his co-workers from Saturday night until morning. On Sunday, they all went on a bus tour during the day. Abe even has people taken from him pictures as evidence".

Shizuka looked at the photos on the table, and saw that they all had a clock in the background of Abe:

"Those pictures!"

"The only time Abe was alone was when Abe took a two-hour nap on Sunday afternoon", Kogorō said. "It would be impossible to make a round trip from Kyushu to Gunma where the body was found. So the only option is that Abe must have murdered Negishi sometime last week. But who was the man I spied on for three days?"

"Sorry, Mōri-san, but those pictures are kind of weird", Shizuka said.

"How are they strange?" Kogorō asked.

"Look closely", Shizuka said. "Abe took all his pictures in such a way that the clock is in the background of all the pictures".

"N-Now that you mention it, that's right", Kogorō said looking at the pictures.

"Could it be that Abe just likes watches?" Shizuka suggested.

"This is not natural", Kogorō thought looking at Shizuka. "Looks like Abe just took these pictures as an alibi. It's just like Irene said. Wait! This has happened before. Whenever I've been stuck trying to figure something out, Irene says little things that always turn out to be clues. Is Irene Azure Redi, or did Irene just get good detective-training from me?! No, because Azure Red's hair is black. Irene must have just gotten good detective-training from me".

"Excuse me, but what's in that envelope?" Shizuka asked, pointing to the envelope leaning on the other sofa, and walked in front of it, bowing lower, and opened the envelope.

"There are the pictures I took of Negishi-san earlier. Why did you ask?" Kogorō asked.

"Well when we were talking about Negishi-san earlier, I felt like I was about to remember something, but I just can't remember it now. It was somehow about Negishi-san, so can I look at these pictures for comparison?" Shizuka asked.

"You kids are kids, but what did you remember?" Kogorō asked. "If looking at those pictures reminds you of something, just look at them".

"Thank you", Shizuka spread the pictures on the floor.

"Hey, Dad. Are you sure the man in those pictures was the one who was killed?" Ran asked looking at the photos Shizuka was examining. "The body found in the Festival Tower was burned, wasn't it?"

"Huh! There's no doubt about it. Something belonging to the victim was found on the ground near the festival tower. It was victim's driver's license", Kogorō said.

"Driving license?" Shizuka asked.

"Yes, and even the victim's dental records matched Negishi-san's dental records", Kogorō said.

"This is strange. Normally a criminal would hide such things", Shizuka thought. "The body was hidden in a festival tower where it was easy to find when that tower collapsed like a house of cards. The killer left behind clues as to the body's identity. This seems like it was all planned. The killer probably wanted the victim to be found. There is only one person who could benefited from the discovery of the body to become the recipient of the victim's life insurance money, and it is Abe Yutaka. Just like Kogorō said, the murderer can only be Abe! But Abe has the perfect alibi. No, there must be something, who can show that Abe's alibi is built on a lie".

While looking at the photos, Shizuka saw something that caught her attention and picked out one photo where a man who looked like Negishi was eating noodles while holding a bowl in his right hand and chopsticks in his left hand:

"Mōri-san, now I remember what I had forgotten. Look at this photo. When I saw you spying on Negishi-san at the golf supply store yesterday, Negishi-san seemed to be right-handed as he paid for the purchase with his right hand. Could it be?"

"Could it be what?" Kogorō asked.

Shizuka continued looking at the pictures.

"Irene-chan?" Ran asked.

"Well, Negishi-san paid for his purchases with his right hand when he went to that golf store, but in these pictures, Negishi-san is using his left hand more than his right hand", Shizuka said.

"You are right!" Kogorō said after seeing that thing. "When Abe hired me to spy on Negishi-san, Abe said Negishi-san was right-handed, but the man in those pictures is apparently left-handed, or ambidextrous. That must mean the man I spied on wasn't Negishi-san! The man I spied on must have been someone , who was hired by Abe to pose as Negishi-san, which means I spied on a complete stranger for three days, and that Abe framed me to create the perfect alibi for himself! Abe must have committed the crime sometime last week. That's all I could come up with".

"I knew it!" Shizuka thought. "These pictures were taken on Thursday, and Friday. These pictures are from Saturday. Kogorō followed the murdered Negishi-san from Thursday to Saturday. The body was found on Sunday night. The murder took place between Saturday night and Sunday night. But the suspect, Abe Yutaka, was you during the trip to Kyushu from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon. Abe's alibi is perfect. But if Kogorō's theory, and mine, is correct, then Abe's alibi is just a sham. We just need a witness to testify against Abe".

"Dad, I think you're mad at Abe for what she did to you", Ran said after seeing her father's angry expression.

"Of course I'm mad at Abe for dragging me to create an alibi for herself!" Kogorō said. "The murderer is definitely Abe Yutaka. He even has a motive to commit that crime".

"Motive?" Ran asked as Shizuka placed the photo among the photos on the floor.

"Abe's company was three hundred million yen in debt", Kogorō said. "Abe paid off that debt with Negishi-san's life insurance money. And now Abe plans to take the remaining two hundred million yen and flee the country".

"Fleeing the country?" Ran asked.

"Abe left his company in the hands of his employees and said he was going abroad", Kogorō said. "And Abe's plane leaves at 9pm tonight!"

"9pm?! It's only three hours away!" Shizuka thought looking at her watch.

"If Abe flees abroad, we'll never catch him! Our only option is to trap Abe, and make him confess. There's no time. The first thing I have to do is take Kogorō to the airport. Alright. I'll use that method!" Shizuka left the room:

"I am going to sleep good night".

Shizuka closed the door to Kogorō's study, then went into the guest room that had been decorated for her. Shizuka locked the door to the guest room, put pillows under the blanket to make it look like she was sleeping in the bed. He then opened the window of the room, and went down the fire escape behind the window to the roof of Mōri Tantei Jimusho, taking the phone from his pocket, and called Kogoro, changing his voice to Azure Red's.

"Mōri Tantei Jimusho", Kogorō answered the phone.

"Evening, Mōri-san. It's me, Azure Redi. I think I've figured something out. Abe Yutaka's alibi isn't perfect. I know about Negishi Masaki's murder after hearing about it on TV. And I overheard your recent conversation as I passed by your office. Negishi Masaki was probably murdered last week, and then Abe Yutaka hired someone to impersonate Negishi Masa. The person who impersonated Negishi Masa and whom you spied on for three days might have been an employee of Abe's company. I'm still looking into that matter, as we need a witness to support the theory", Shizuka said.

"What?! So even you think Abe's alibi is just a lie?" Kogorō asked. "A-Are you serious Azure Redi?"

"Yes. I advise you to go to the airport now. I'll handle calling the police to the airport after I find the witness, so leave the search for the witness to me", Shizuka said. "I suggest we set a trap for Abe where we get him to confess to the police and the witness will be key to my plan".

"Okay, but who is the witness?" Kogorō asked.

"Mōri-san, that witness is most likely the man you've been spying on for 3 days. I'll bring that man to the airport, and I'll come to the airport myself at the same time", Shizuka said. "I'll explain my plan when we meet at the airport".

"Okay", Kogorō said.

"Be ready to set the trap. Can you do it?" Shizuka asked.

"Alright. Abe has already humiliated me enough, so I'm going along with your plan", Kogorō said.

"Alright. See you at the airport", Shizuka said, turning off the phone.

Shizuka transformed into Azure Redi, and went looking for Negishi's doppelgänger, jumping from the roofs of houses to other rooftops, until she arrived in front of a familiar golf merchandise store, where the said doppelganger was standing.

"Abe didn't pay me the reward he promised for performing for three days as Negishi Masaki!" The man said angrily, slamming his fist into the wall of the store to his right as he stood on the sidewalk in front of the store.

"I knew it!" Azure Redi thought, jumping in front of the man.

"Azure Redi?!" The man asked in disbelief.

"Evening. Sorry for coming so suddenly, but I just saw a man following you. He had a pistol in his hand", Azure Redi said.

"Really?!" The man asked looking nervously behind him.

"Now I'm testing my new ability!" Azure Redi created a blue energy butterfly in her hands that flew into the man's body, and the man was under Azure Redi's control:

"You seem sad. Tell me your sadness and I will help you in exchange for you helping me set a trap for Abe Yutaka".

"You can trust me, Azure Redi",(Taken from the Miraculous series, the rights of which I do not own) The man said.

"Thank you. Tell me your woes", Azure Redi said.

"Abe Yutaka has a company that is struggling financially, which led Abe to plan to kill his friend Negishi Masaki. Specifically, Abe's reason for killing Masaki was that Yutaka's company is on the verge of bankruptcy, and as a result, Abe tricked Negishi, who is much richer than himself, into agreeing to his betting scheme. Abe made a bet with his friend Negishi Masaki one night that whoever lives longer would get the other's life insurance money. As a result, Abe Yutaka killed Negishi Masaki last week after Abe made a bet with a drunk Negishi that if Negishi succeeded to hide, Abe would give Negishi his life insurance. However, Abe betrayed Negishi, and Abe then committed murder because Abe wanted to take Negishi's life insurance. Abe did it to pay off his debts, and save his company from bankruptcy. Negishi actually died on Tuesday night, the night before Yutaka left for Kyushu The next day, Yutaka asked a detective named Mōri Kogorō to follow me for three days because I look like Negishi. Abe did so to make Kogorō think that Negishi was alive until Wednesday night. Negishi's body was found on Thursday night during the famous Fire Festival. Abe checked the times carefully beforehand to make sure they matched. When the body was engulfed in flames, it was impossible to find the exact time of death. This was intended to make it appear that Negishi died between Wednesday night and Thursday night, when in fact he actually died on Tuesday night. Then Abe returned from his trip on Friday night looking innocent with his perfect alibi. Abe's plan is to escape the country, go to Seattle, and take Negishi's money with him. I am an employee of Abe Yutaka's company, and Abe hired me to pretend to be Negishi Masa to fool Mōri Kogorō, which I already told you. But one thing was forgotten. Abe never paid me the fee he promised for performing for 3 days as Negishi Masaki, and I'm sure Abe is not going to pay me the fee that Abe promised to pay me for performing for 3 days as Negishi Masaki (I don't own)", The man said. "He plans to go to New Tokyo [Narita] International Airport today to leave Japan on flight 99".

"You're clearly in trouble. I'll help you in exchange for admitting what you did to the police while telling them Abe's little secret. After you call the police, let's go to the airport where Abe has probably gone. I have no choice! It's a bit dangerous, but I have to lure Abe I'm trapping, and I need your help with it", Azure Redi said, showing the man a black cassette recorder. "Call the cops and tell them about Abe. Even tell the cops that you want to help us set a trap for Abe. The trap in question is like this. Start by calling the cops and telling them which airport they need to go to. Then we'll go to that airport, where we'll ask Mōri-sanin, and the airport staff with the police to make such an announcement:

"We're calling for a passenger. We're calling for Abe Yutaka, a passenger on flight 99, who's on his way to Seattle. Please meet Negishi Masaki-sama in the parking lot in front of the airport. I'll repeat the announcement". Before that, the cops and I will hide in the airport parking lot, and we'll wait for Abe to arrive in that parking lot, and then you'll come out of hiding

si to talk to Abe as the cops come out of hiding to surround the entire area, and then capture Abe. I will record your entire conversation on this tape recorder as evidence against Abe. Well, how are you?"

"Excellent plan", The man took the phone from his pocket and called the police station:

"Evening, Megure Keibu. I am an employee of Abe Yutaka. I want to tell you something interesting about Abe Yutaka. Abe Yutaka has a company that is having financial difficulties, which led Abe to plan to murder his friend Negishi Masaki. More specifically, Abe's reason for killing Masaki was that Yutaka the company is on the brink of bankruptcy, and as a result, Abe tricked Negishi, who is much richer than himself, into agreeing to his betting scheme. As a result, Abe Yutaka killed Negishi Masaki last week after Abe made a bet with a drunk Negishi that if Negishi managed to hide, Abe would give Negishi his life insurance. However, Abe cheated on Negishi, and Abe then committed a murder because Abe wanted to take Negishi's life insurance. Abe did it to pay off his debt, and to save his company from bankruptcy Negishi actually died on Tuesday night, the night before Yutaka left for Kyushu on business. The next day, Yutaka asked a detective named Mōri Kogorō to follow me for three days because I look like Negishi. Abe did so to make Kogorō think that Negishi was alive until Wednesday night. Negishi's body was found on Thursday night during the famous Fire Festival. Abe checked the times carefully beforehand to make sure they matched. Abe plans to go to New Tokyo[Narita] International Airport today to leave Japan on flight 99". I am now with Azure Red and Azure Redi told me this:

"You're clearly in trouble. I'll help you in exchange for admitting what you did to the police while telling them Abe's little secret. After you call the police, let's go to the airport where Abe has probably gone. I have no choice! It's a bit dangerous, but I have to lure Abe, I'm in a trap, and I need your help with it." Azure Redi showed me a black tape recorder and then said this:

"Call the cops and tell them about Abe. Even tell the cops that you want to help us set a trap for Abe. The trap in question is like this. Start by calling the cops and telling them which airport they need to go to. Then we'll go to that airport, where we'll ask Mōri-sanin, and the airport staff with the police to make such an announcement:

I will record your entire conversation on this tape recorder as evidence against Abe. Well, how is it?" I agreed to that plan".

"What did Keibu-san say?" Azure Redi asked after the man put his phone in his pocket.

"Keibu-san is coming to the airport with his subordinates", The man said.

"Thank you. Let's go to the airport", Azure Redi left with the man for the airport.

(In the evening)

"We are calling for a passenger. We are calling for Abe Yutaka, a passenger on flight 99, who is on his way to Seattle. Please meet Negishi Masaki-sama in the parking lot in front of the airport. I will repeat the announcement", The announcement made by the airport staff echoed throughout the airport.

Abe nervously walked around the airport parking lot, which had a lot of cars. Abe looked nervous after hearing the recent announcement over the airport's loudspeakers. Abe was holding a brown bag in his right hand.

The street lights in the parking lot had turned on after the sun went down.

"You had a good plan, Abe-san", Someone said out of the blue.

"W-Who are you?" Abe asked looking around.

"Negishi-san actually died on Friday night, didn't he? Right. He died the day before you left for Kyushu", Joku said causing Abe to startle and start running around the airport.

"Then the next day you hired Detective Mōri to follow someone dressed like Negishi-san", Someone said.

"Where? Where are you?" Abe asked after stopping.

"You did it to make us think that Negishi-san was alive until Saturday. You then planned it so that the body would be found at the festival on Sunday. The police couldn't tell Negishi's time of death from the burned body. According to Detective Mōri's claim, Negishi's time of death was believed to be Saturday night, and between Sunday night", Someone said.

"Shit!" Abe ran in the parking lot.

"Then you went back to Tokyo on Monday afternoon acting like nothing happened. That's how you completed your alibi. Isn't that right? Am I right?" Abe's employee asked walking out from behind a van, and stopped a couple of meters away from Abe. "Of course I'm right, because you told me everything after Negishi Masaki's body was found at the Fire Festival site. Before that, you had confided in Mōri Kogorō that I was Negishi Masaki when you hired Mōri-san to spy on me for 3 days to set up an alibi for yourselves".

"What are you doing here?" Abe asked.

"You guys forgot to pay me my fee for playing Negishi Masaki for 3 days. Or were you going to pay me at all?" The man asked.

"Of course I didn't forget", Abe said. "I'm going to mail you the money from Seattle".

"Give yourself up. There are a lot of police here", The man said.

"Heh heh! It's true that Negishi Masaki was killed by me, Abe Yutaka. But I won't turn myself in to the police", Abe said. "I'm going to live a luxury life abroad".

"I wouldn't be so sure", Megure said as he arrived with the other officers and they handcuffed Abe. "While you were being interrogated, we surrounded the whole area".

Abe got nervous, and dropped his bag on the ground, then looked at his employee angrily:

"You told my secret to the police, you traitor! Do you understand what it's like to be the CEO of a company on the verge of bankruptcy? Heh heh! It's only the police's fault that they've been duped! It was also stupid for Negishi to believe me, and get such a big life insurance policy! Negishi didn't have no idea I'd kill him! And you're a fool to come here and tell the police my little secret! If I didn't have handcuffs on me right now, I'd do the same to you as I did to Negishi".

"You were a fool yourself", Azure Redi said walking out from behind the car. "You thought you wanted to save your company, but in my eyes you're just a greedy man"-

"I did as you asked, Azure Redi", The man said as he was handcuffed.

"Thank you", Azure Redi said as the energy butterfly flew out of the man's body and disappeared, then Azure Redi turned on the tape recorder that had recorded the recent conversation.

"Heh heh! It's true that Negishi Masaki was killed by me, Abe Yutaka. But I won't turn myself in to the police. I'm going to live a luxury life abroad", Azure Redi handed the cassette recorder to Takagi.

"How did my plan work out? It was a perfect plan", Abe asked dejectedly.

"Actually, it was only a half-baked plan. You forgot something. You forgot that Negishi-san was right-handed, and your subordinate who played Negishi-san for three days is left-handed. People naturally use the hand they are used to using more , than their other hand. Because your subordinates normally use their left hand more than their right hand. The same goes for right-handed people, and left-handed people, and ambidextrous people. If the hand they use the most gets injured in some way, then they are forced to use that hand, so they don't haven't been using as much as their injured hand, which can be a bit difficult though, as they aren't used to using their less used hand as much as the hand they use the most. And I heard Mōri-san talking about it to her daughter and her assistant as I walked by earlier today Passing by Mōri Tantei Jimusho after hearing Mōri-san suspect you of being Negishi-san's murderer. And when you hired Mōri-san to spy on your underling playing Negishi-san, you told Mōri-san that Negishi-san was right-handed. The officers discussed this incident. I put the pieces of this case together myself like a puzzle. But you made a mistake with the person you chose to impersonate Nagishi-san. You may have been able to fool the detective, but you can't fool the photo", Azure Redi said. "The person you chose was left-handed, unlike Negishi-san, who can be seen together, in the photo Mōri-san took earlier, where your subordinate disguised as Negishi-san is using his left hand while eating noodles, and holds chopsticks in his left hand while holding a bowl of noodles in his right hand".

"Thank you, Azure Redi", Megure said.

"Please. We defenders of justice must stand together", Azure returned to Mōri Tantei Jimusho, went to the guest room, and closed the window of the guest room, checked that there was no one in the room, changed into Shizuka, and laid down on the bed.

"Azure Redi handled the situation well", Ran said as she came home with her father while Shizuka started reading a movie magazine.

"Yes. We'll go to the movies at some point", Kogorō said. "That's a good way to celebrate this victory. Damn it! What a horrible man to use me to create his alibi!"

"But Azure Redi found an impostor impersonating Negishi-san, didn't he?" Ran asked.

"Yeah. The impostor didn't know anything except that Abe hired his subordinates to roam around the city for 3 days impersonating Negishi Masaki. The imposter only found out from Abe about what happened after Negishi died. How could Azure Redi get Negishi's doppelgänger to cooperate with him?" Kogorō asked.

"I don't know", Ran said.
