Chapter 60: Finding The Super Saiyan God

Last Time, the God of Destruction, Beerus, wakes from his long sleep to seek out the Super Saiyan God from his dream. His search led him to Remnant, where he confronted both Jason and Goku, who were clueless about the existence of a Super Saiyan God.

Wanting to test his own strength, Goku challenged the God of Destruction only to be easily dispatched. Even Jason, with the power of Super Saiyan 4, barely put up a fight against Beerus, who used only a fraction of his real strength.

Now Beerus heads for Earth to question the remaining Saiyans about the Super Saiyan God leaving Jason and Goku to recover on Remnant...

Remnant…

Shin Family Home…

Jason's eyes began to flutter open as he regained consciousness. What surrounded him was his own home, more specifically, his and Neo's bedroom. Sitting up, he flinched in pain as he clutched his chest.

"How much time has passed since I fought Beerus?" Jason wondered before getting to his feet and grabbing a quick change of clothes.

"I need to figure out what's going on. If I'm already back here, then…" Jason murmured as he exited his room, only to see Goku eating a pile of food at his dinner table.

"Oh! Glad to see you up, Jason!" Goku smirked, giving Jason a wave, causing him to sigh.

"Well, it's good to see that you're not down for the count," Jason replied as he swiped a piece of food from Goku's pile.

"Hey!" Goku complained before Jason chopped him in the head.

"My house, my food," Jason stated before sitting down across from his fellow Saiyan.

"How long was I out?" Jason inquired as Goku grabbed onto some meat.

"A few hours. It's nearly sundown," Goku answered, taking a bite of the food.

"What happened after I passed out?" Jason questioned, taking a bite of the food.

"Nothing much. Beerus left for Earth, allowing me to get you back here." Goku explained, shoving more food into his mouth.

"Now I just need to heal up before heading over to help!" Goku exclaimed as Jason hummed.

"How do you plan on stopping Beerus?" Jason questioned, remembering that Goku had fared far worse against the God of Destruction than he had.

"I haven't figured that part out yet, but I can't let Beerus go. He did threaten to destroy Remnant so he might do the same with Earth." Goku answered as Jason nodded.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to think of something when we go to Earth." Jason sighed, earning him a concerned look from Goku.

"What? What is it?" Jason questioned, curious as to why Goku was giving him that look.

"Well, uh….N-Neo might not like that," Goku whispered, looking nervous.

"Oh…" Jason murmured, stopping his own eating and realizing what Goku was saying.

Since he woke up, he hadn't seen his wife anywhere, and he knew that she wouldn't be entirely happy with the current situation. Closing his eyes, he looked for her energy, quickly finding it in their daughter's room.

"Hahhhh….this is going to be a long conversation." Jason sighed, rubbing his head before standing up.

"I'll be right back," Jason stated, turning around and going to his daughter's room.

When he reached his daughter's room, he pressed his ear against the door and heard only dead silence within. But he knew that inside the room, there was a heated and most likely one-sided discussion going on. He could tell just from feeling his wife's energy.

"Best not wait on it," Jason murmured as he grabbed onto the door.

"Is everything going okay in here?" Jason inquired, opening the door to see his wife glaring down at their daughter, who looked at him pleadingly.

"I'll take that as a no," Jason noted as his wife turned toward him, giving him a stern look.

"Stay here," Neo ordered Scarlet before moving over to Jason and dragging him out of the room by his tail.

"Oh, we're already this mad," Jason murmured as he was pulled out of Scarlet's room.

"Explain," Neo demanded, spinning Jason around to face her.

"I'm assuming Goku didn't explain," Jason replied as Neo shook her head.

"I want to hear it from you," Neo stated, hardening her gaze.

"Okay, well, it all happened fairly fast, but here's the jist of it. Goku and I were just doing a little training when some cat named Beerus came out of nowhere and declared himself to be the God of Destruction." Jason began retelling the story to his wife.

"He claimed to be looking for a Super Saiyan God and was disappointed when neither Goku nor I knew what that was. Then he wanted to test our power and…you know the rest." Jason finished as Neo sighed.

"This is going to be a thing, isn't it?" She questioned as Jason shrugged.

"I can't say for sure. But if he's heading to Earth, I've got to go at least make sure things don't go south." Jason replied, taking hold of Neo's hands.

"So please don't get too mad at me." Jason requested, gaining a smile from Neo before she removed her hand and grabbed onto Jason's tail again.

"Don't give your hopes up," Neo replied with a sly smile as Jason sighed.

"This is about Scarlet, isn't it." Jason inquired as Neo nodded.

"It's nice to know you don't have to read my mind to know exactly what I'm thinking of, dear." Neo smiled, giving Jason's tail another squeeze.

"To be fair, I didn't bring her to my training with Goku. But I will talk to her later." Jason noted as Neo gave him a blank stare.

"That's not what I'm angry about…okay, not entirely what I'm angry about," Neo replied, letting go of Jason's tail to cross her arms.

"After seeing Scarlet come home with you all beat up like that just…makes me worried," Neo added, turning away from Jason.

"I know I agreed to let you train her, but I just don't want to see her come home like that one day." Neo cried, trying to hide her tears.

"Look, I know seeing me in that state is hard, especially after all you've been through seeing both Roman and I die," Jason replied as he held Neo close and wiped away her tears with his tail.

"But if you want to keep her safe, then the best thing to do is help her learn how to defend herself so that she won't come home like that." Jason pointed out, turning Neo around to face him.

"Because now we know she'll go out whether we like it or not," Jason noted as Neo nodded.

"Plus, this way, we can get her to hear that beautiful voice of yours," Jason smirked, making Neo smile again before she pulled on his ear.

"Don't think flirting with me will get you out of trouble," Neo advised as Jason raised his hands in defense.

"Yes, ma'am," Jason replied, satisfying Neo as she released him.

"Come back safe." Neo requested as Jason nodded.

"Of course." Jason smiled, kissing Neo's forehead.

But as the two separated, neither noticed Scarlet listening in on their conversation before she shut her door to change clothes. Meanwhile, Jason returned to his living room and sat across from Goku, who continued eating at their dinner table.

"Alright, I've got the go-ahead from Neo. So what's our plan?" Jason questioned, grabbing onto some food.

"Well, one, we need to heal up, so let's make a stop at Korrin's for some Senzu Beans," Goku suggested, swallowing some food.

"Then we could try fusion, but I don't know if any of us will be able to get it down fast enough. Maybe we should figure out who or what this Super Saiyan God is." Goku murmured as Jason hummed.

"That might be a good idea, but how the hell would we find them? From what Beerus said, they have God Ki like him, something we can't sense." Jason pointed out as Goku tapped on his chin.

"Maybe one of the Kais know!" Goku hypothesized as a telepathic voice interrupted that thought.

"Actually, Goku, we have no clue who this Super Saiyan God is," Shin explained, surprising both Goku and Jason.

"You don't?!" Jason gasped, standing up from his chair.

"Unfortunately, no. You see, Lord Beerus had visited us before going to your planet to ask the Relic of Knowledge about the Super Saiyan God to no avail." Elder Kai revealed with a sigh.

"So he really is a god?" Jason inquired, still slightly skeptical of Beerus.

"He is. A very ancient god who's been around since even my era." Elder Kai answered, surprising Jason and Goku at Beerus's age.

"So if Beerus was coming to us, why didn't you tell us?" Goku asked, surprised that the Kais had remained silent up until now.

"We're sorry, but Beerus had demanded our silence. Only now that he's a safe distance away did we believe it was okay to talk to you." Shin apologized, his voice filled with remorse.

"Well, he did threaten to destroy Remnant if I didn't fight him. I can only imagine what he threatened you with." Jason murmured as Shin spoke up.

"Yes, you're lucky he didn't. If it weren't his intent to seek you out, I would have advised you never to speak to Lord Beerus at all." Shin replied as Goku and Jason shared a look.

"Why not?" Goku asked, confused about what Shin meant.

"Beerus is a very…well, let's call him a moody God. If anything angers him in even the slightest way, he'll destroy whatever planet he is on or whatever he finds equivalent." Shin explained, causing both Goku and Jason to shudder.

"Why do I feel lucky he didn't blow up Remnant?" Jason wondered, relieved that nothing had happened when Beerus occurred.

"Well, that's because you are." Elder Kai commented, making Jason sweatdrop.

"Great Ancestor, I don't think that's helping," Shin noted as Goku spoke up.

"If Beerus is as impulsive as you say, what will happen to Earth if he doesn't find the Super Saiyan God? After all, there's no other Saiyan out there…right?" Goku questioned as the room fell silent.

"To be honest…" Shin began before stopping himself.

"If Beerus doesn't get what he wants, he'll most likely eviscerate Earth." Elder Kai finished, causing both Jason and Goku to flinch.

"Then we must stop him." Jason insisted, slamming his hands against his table.

"But neither you nor Goku were able to stand up to Beerus! How could you stop him?" Shin pointed out as Jason curled his hands into fists.

"I don't know. Normally, I'd say Gohan since he's the strongest among us, but…after fighting Beerus myself, I'm not confident that he can win." Jason noted as Goku nodded.

"As much as I don't want to admit it, while Gohan might be stronger than both of us, he hasn't been training as much as we do, so he hasn't grown too much in power since Buu," Goku added before looking at Jason.

"Now that I think about it, you haven't gotten much stronger, too, haven't you?" Goku realized, causing Jason to let out an annoyed sigh.

"Not for lack of trying," Jason muttered, falling back into his chair.

"I've trained at every opportunity I get, but I barely make any progress anymore. It's like ever since I obtained Super Saiyan 4, I've come to stagnate." Jason noted, looking at his open palm.

"It's like some wall is in my way, making it harder to get stronger, even sometimes using Ki as effectively as I used to," Jason explained before balling his fist once more.

"If only I could improve enough to…gain that power." Jason thought, thinking back to the time he and Gohan fused into Goson and turned into Super Saiyan 4.

The power their fusion held in that form was even greater than Jason could have imagined. Because somehow it was different. It went beyond even Jason using the full power of the form by stockpiling energy.

It was as if the large amount of energy the fusion contained had pushed past the limits of the form, showing a path beyond for Jason. But despite training for four years, Jason wasn't even close to finding out how it was done since Goson did it so naturally, only thinking of using Super Saiyan 4.

"I shouldn't get hung up on that now. I have to concentrate on what's happening in the present." Jason thought, returning his attention to the situation at hand.

"There's got to be a way to stop Beerus from destroying Earth," Jason murmured as Goku perked up.

"Then let's just find this Super Saiyan God!" Goku insisted, surprising Jason and the Kais.

"But how would we do that? Even Shin doesn't even know where they are or if they exist." Jason pointed out as Shin spoke up.

"Indeed, even the Relic of Knowledge didn't even know, though most likely it was because it was sealed on Remnant for so long," Shin added while Goku nodded.

"I know, but there's one thing that might reveal them to us," Goku smirked, confusing Jason before he understood where Goku was going with this.

"Wait, do you mean…?" Jason began before Goku interrupted him.

"Yep, the Dragon Balls!" Goku exclaimed as Shin gasped.

"Of course, the Dragon Balls should have the power to unveil the mysteries of this Super Saiyan God." Shin agreed as Elder Kai groaned.

"Not those again! I swear you mortals need to learn how to live without those objects!" Elder Kai complained, though his complaints had gone ignored.

"Then we just need to find all the Dragon Balls and use them before Beerus can get to Earth." Jason nodded, satisfied with this plan.

"Yes, this should all work out. But there's still one problem." Shin reported confusing both Jason and Goku.

"What's that?" Jason inquired, getting nervous.

"Beerus will be arriving on Earth soon. So you must make haste and gather the Dragon Balls fast. Though he's interested in the Super Saiyan God, he can be easily distracted." Shin explained, surprising the two Saiyans.

"So he shouldn't be too much trouble just yet. But please try to be quick." Shin added as Scarlet, dressed in her Gi, watched her father and Goku from the hallway.

"Alright then. Let's not waste any time." Jason insisted before heading into his living room and grabbing something out of the closet.

"Might as well bring Bulma's present while I'm heading to Earth," Jason noted as Goku gasped.

"Oh right, Bulma's party is about to start, right? Let's hope we get there before anything big happens." Goku replied as Jason nodded.

"Yeah, hopefully, we can get the Dragon Balls in time before Beerus even tries going." Jason sighed, remembering how most of the other Saiyans would be there.

"First, we get Senzu Beans. Then we'll stop by Bulma's place for a Dragon Radar. Oh, we should probably warn Gohan and Vegeta, too." Goku decided as the two Saiyans placed their fingers on their heads.

With a plan of action in mind, the two focused their senses to find Earth to use Instant Transmission. However, at the moment they used Instant Transmission, Jason felt something grab onto his leg before they disappeared.

Capsule Corp…

Vegeta jumped up before driving his fist through the training drones Bulma had designed for him. Currently, he was in one of the gravity rooms built into their home, training in over six hundred fifty times Earth's gravity while fighting against the drones.

This was his daily routine, adding another ten points to the gravity placed upon him each day. Obviously, this put an extreme amount of strain on Vegeta's body, but it was worth it if it meant he would become stronger.

After the events of four years ago, he had seen the clear gap between himself and his fellow Saiyans, all of which had far surpassed the level of Super Saiyan 2. Jason had Super Saiyan 4, Gohan had his potential unleashed by the Kais, and Goku had created Super Saiyan 3.

But Vegeta had yet to surpass that level himself. For years, he trained, but he was still behind. Sure, he could probably have Goku teach him how to obtain Super Saiyan 3 or maybe convince Elder Kai to release his potential, but that would only be a blow to his pride.

Besides, Goku was too busy with his own training going to Jason and Gohan to be partners as Vegeta can't keep up with Super Saiyan 3. Even so, he will find a way to catch up with them, but it will be on his own terms. All he needed was a clue about what avenue he could take.

Suddenly, an alert caught the Saiyan Prince's attention as he turned to see something blinking on the console. After destroying the last drone, he walked over and saw that it was a reminder of Bulma's birthday party.

"Oh, it's morning already?" Vegeta murmured, having not realized how much time had passed while in a sealed chamber with no windows.

"Whatever. I could use a little rest anyway." Vegeta sighed as he turned off the gravity chamber before exiting.

Technically, he could train longer, but he didn't want Bulma to get angry at him for ditching her party. So it was a win-win going to the party and getting some rest to let his training set in on him. After a quick shower and a change of clothes, he slowly made his way to the section of his home Bulma was using for her party.

As he walked, he noticed Goku and Jason's energy signatures appearing on Earth. It wasn't totally surprising as Goku lived on the planet, but he was sure he remembered something about Jason being too busy to come to Bulma's party.

"Hm. Guess Kakarot and Arrow spent the whole day training." Vegeta chuckled as he arrived at the party, which was already underway.

"Dad, you came!" Trunks smiled, running up to his father.

"Mom was worried you'd skip out!" Trunks laughed as Vegeta huffed.

"If I did, she'd never let me hear the end of it," Vegeta commented before looking at Trunks.

"Did you grow again?" Vegeta questioned, placing his hand on Trunks's head before moving it back to him for reference.

"Yeah, another half-inch! Maybe by the end of the year, I'll grow even more!" Trunks exclaimed, excited to finally grow for once.

"Well, don't get too ahead of yourself. Us Saiyans take time to grow." Vegeta reminded as Trunks groaned.

"I know." Trunks sighed, looking down as Vegeta patted his shoulder.

"Give it time," Vegeta replied before pressing forward.

The first thing he needed to do was let Bulma know he was there. Once that was done, he could find a secluded corner and wait this party out. He doubted there'd be anything he'd find entertaining here anyway.

Suddenly, he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up as his body tensed. Stopping in his tracks, Vegeta looked back and forth. Something, he didn't know what, was wrong, as if a strong presence had appeared, yet he couldn't sense it.

Typically, that meant everything was alright, but his warrior instincts told him otherwise. Vegeta just knew something big was going down. He could feel it. What that was, though, Vegeta didn't know.

"Vegeta!" Bulma called, snapping Vegeta out of his thoughts.

"I'm impressed you came on time," Bulma smirked, happy to see Vegeta there.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Vegeta inquired as Bulma laughed.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just happy you came," Bulma answered before noticing his expression.

"Is something wrong?" Bulma asked, curious about why Vegeta looked tense.

"It's…" Vegeta began glancing at his wife.

"It's nothing. Don't worry about it." Vegeta insisted, not wanting to mess with his wife's good mood.

"I'm going find a place to sit down," Vegeta murmured, walking away from Bulma.

As he walked, Vegeta noted those who had already arrived at the party. Most of the regulars were there, such as Krillin, 18, Yamcha, etc. But Vegeta noted that Gohan was nowhere to be seen. He didn't have to search long for the Half Saiyan as his energy surged off in the distance.

Minutes Earlier…

Gohan & Videl's Home…

"You ready, Videl?" Gohan called as he waited for his wife downstairs.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a sec. I'm just…checking something." Videl replied as Gohan tilted his head.

"She's been doing that a lot lately? Could something be wrong?" Gohan wondered, rubbing his chin.

"Well, the party doesn't start for a while, and we'll make it in no time if we fly," Gohan noted, looking at his watch before freezing up.

Suddenly, he felt a strong presence outside his home. Spinning around, Gohan stared at his front door, unable to tell what that presence was. He couldn't sense any Ki on the other side of the door. But whatever it was, he could tell it was dangerous.

He had felt the same way back when he had first laid eyes on Majin Buu. Something or someone very dangerous and very strong was outside his home. A bead of sweat dripped down Gohan's face as he heard footsteps slowly approach until…

*DING DONG*

His doorbell was rung…

"W-What?" Gohan gasped, momentarily breaking the tension.

Hesitantly, Gohan walked over to the door and grabbed onto the handle. With a deep breath, he turned the handle and opened the door. What met him on the other side was…not what he expected.

"Greetings, you are Son Gohan, are you not?" Whis inquired as he and Beerus stood before Gohan on his porch.

"Uh, yes. May I ask who you two are?" Gohan asked, curious at who or what had sought him out.

"Oh, my apologies," Whis replied, holding his hand before his mouth.

"I am Whis, an Angel and attendant to the God of Destruction, Beerus," Whis answered, gesturing to Beerus, who stood next to him.

"We've come to inquire if you know anything about a Super Saiyan God," Beerus stated, confusing Gohan, who was still processing what Whis had said.

"Super Saiyan God?" Gohan replied as that phrase caught his attention.

"The only reason they'd ask anything about Saiyans would mean they know I am one. That gives some validity to if they are who they say they are." Gohan noted, inspecting the two.

"It seems he doesn't know either." Whis sighed as Beerus scowled.

"Well, then tell me this." Beerus insisted as he stepped forward.

"Are you not stronger than the Saiyan Jason?" Beerus inquired, surprising Gohan.

"He knows Jason, too?!" Gohan gasped before recomposing himself.

"W-Well, we haven't sparred all out in a while, but last we checked, I am," Gohan answered as the sound of footsteps from behind him caught his attention.

"Is someone at the door, Gohan?" Videl asked, stepping down the stairs and spotting Whis and Beerus.

"Is that a giant purple cat?" Videl wondered, taken aback by Beerus, though only for a moment.

"Uh…he's the God of Destruction," Gohan answered, looking slightly nervous.

"God of Destruction? He's not here to destroy our house, is he?" Videl questioned, crossing her arms unamused.

"Not unless you make me. I'd much rather you just give me what I want." Beerus stated as Gohan frowned.

"Well, as I said before, I don't know anything about a Super Saiyan God. So if that's all you need, then…" Gohan replied, beginning to close the door only for Beerus to hold it open with a finger.

"Now, now I didn't say we were done," Beerus smirked, pushing the door back open, surprising Gohan with the strength.

"You may not know about the Super Saiyan God, but that doesn't mean you can't be the Super Saiyan God," Beerus noted, confusing Gohan.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not following," Gohan replied, not understanding what Beerus was getting at.

"I want to test your power. That Jason fellow gave me a decent bout, so if you're stronger than he is, then things should be interesting." Beerus explained as Gohan grew serious.

"And if I refuse?" Gohan questioned, staring Beerus in the eyes.

"Then I'll destroy your home. Plus, maybe the surrounding city." Beerus snickered, causing Videl to pipe up.

"Gohan," Videl spoke, getting her husband's attention.

"Take this outside and kick his ass," Videl ordered as Gohan nodded, taking off his glasses.

"Understood. I'll meet you at Bulma's." Gohan replied, handing Videl his glasses.

"We're taking this somewhere else." Gohan insisted pushing past Beerus and Whis before flying off.

"Fine." Beerus groaned as he and Whis followed while Videl looked on at them.

"Guess I'll have to tell him the good news later." She sighed, watching the three fly off.

Gohan flew at top speed, looking for the nearest location with the fewest inhabitants. As he flew, he took note that he wasn't wearing the best clothing for fighting. His polo wasn't flexible enough, especially tucked into his khaki pants. Plus, his loafers weren't good for excessive movement.

But he'd just discard what he didn't need to get ready. Eventually, he found a suitable location and touched down with Beerus and Whis doing the same. Without wasting time, Gohan pulled off his shirt and kicked off his shoes before turning back to face Beerus.

"Alright. Are you ready?" Gohan inquired as Beerus smirked.

"Of course. Now, don't disappoint me." Beerus insisted as Gohan nodded.

"Very well," Gohan replied before powering up with a loud scream, breaking the ground below him apart.

Lookout…

"This isn't good! We're too late." Goku growled, looking off to where he felt Gohan's energy.

"Beerus got to Gohan," Jason murmured, clutching his fist.

"It seems so. But I'm surprised that you really can't sense his energy," Piccolo commented, standing between the two Saiyans.

When the two Saiyans arrived on Earth, they had appeared before Piccolo, who had yet to leave the Lookout to go to Bulma's party. After arriving, they gave the Namekian a quick run down on what was happening before sensing Gohan's energy rising.

"So, is Beerus as strong as you said?" Piccolo inquired, turning to Jason.

"Yeah, neither Goku nor I stood a chance." Jason nodded as Piccolo sighed.

"So then Gohan doesn't stand a chance, does he?" Piccolo asked, turning back toward where he sensed Gohan's energy.

"Afraid not," Goku answered, crossing his arms.

"Is Dende not here? We could use his help, too." Goku inquired, only for Piccolo to shake his head.

"Dende is already at Bulma's," Piccolo answered as Jason scratched his head.

"Well, it would have been better if he were here, but with Gohan engaging with Beerus, we have more time to find the Dragon Balls either way." Jason sighed before looking down.

"And figuring out what I'm going to do with you," Jason muttered, giving his daughter a stern look as she clung to his leg.

"Am I grounded?" Scarlet inquired, giving her father puppy dog eyes.

"You mean more so than you already are?" Jason replied, crossing his arms.

"Nnnoooooo….?" Scarlet responded, looking pleadingly at her father.

"Yeah, it doesn't work like that," Jason stated, shaking his head.

"Besides, we both know your mother has the final say on all punishments." Jason reminded as Scarlet gulped nervously.

"I-I just wanted to help." Scarlet pouted, causing Jason to sigh as he patted her head.

"Then let's save the punishment conversation for when we get home." Jason insisted, turning to Goku and Piccolo.

"I guess a change of plans is in order," Jason noted as Goku nodded.

"Yeah, I'll go and aid Gohan. You two go and warn Vegeta before asking Bulma for a Radar." Goku replied, placing two fingers on his head as Piccolo grabbed onto Jason's shoulder.

"Alright. If you can, try to buy us some more time." Jason insisted as Goku disappeared.

"Stick close," Jason ordered, looking down at his daughter, who gave him a small nod as he placed fingers on his head, using Instant Transmission to take himself, Piccolo, and Scarlet to Vegeta.

With Gohan…

When Goku appeared near Gohan, the Half Saiyan had finished powering up into the form granted to him by Elder Kai. He was surrounded by white energy as Whis and Beerus looked at him, impressed by his power, with Beerus smiling ear to ear.

"D-Dad? What are you doing here?" Gohan questioned, surprised at his father's sudden appearance though not unhappy with the development.

"I came because of him," Goku answered, pointing at Beerus.

"You know about him?" Gohan inquired as Goku nodded.

"Yeah, he gave Jason and I a good beating back on Remnant," Goku explained as Beerus snorted.

"That would be an understatement in your case. I'm surprised you're up again after only a few hours." Beerus pointed out before looking at Gohan.

"But you. Your power definitely eclipses what I saw from Jason," Beerus commented, tapping his chin.

"But still not at a level I'd expect from a rival," Beerus noted, seeing that Gohan was still below his overall power.

"Perhaps if you push him, he'll reveal some more power," Whis suggested as Beerus nodded.

"Not a bad idea," Beerus replied, looking back at Gohan.

"Dad. Be honest. What are my chances against him?" Gohan inquired as Goku sighed.

"I hate to say it, but you don't stand a chance. Even Jason couldn't beat him, though he didn't have the time to stockpile energy to get to your level." Goku explained as Gohan began to think.

"So, do we have a plan?" Gohan asked, hoping there was some plan in motion to beat Beerus.

"We'll hold him off as long as you can. Jason is going to gather the Dragon Balls to find out more about the Super Saiyan God." Goku whispered as Gohan sighed.

"Then we're just a distraction. Oh well, I'll do my best." Gohan replied, steeling himself.

"Well, let's not get too hasty. Maybe if we tell him we have a way to find the Super Saiyan God, he'll wait." Goku insisted, stepping in front of Gohan.

"Listen, Lord Beerus! We have a way to locate the Super Saiyan God!" Goku reported surprising Beerus.

"Do you now?" Beerus questioned with a sly smirk.

"Tell me, how do you suddenly now have a way to find them?" Beerus inquired, curious as to how Goku, who had never heard of a Super Saiyan God, now had a way to find one.

"We're going to use the Dragon Balls," Goku answered as Beerus simply looked at him, confused.

"What the hell are Dragon Balls?" Beerus questioned, taking Goku by surprise.

The Saiyan from Earth had assumed that Beerus would know about the Dragon Balls since he was a god. After all, every one of the Kais knew about the magical orbs, so shouldn't Beerus know about them?

"I believe he is referring to the wish-granting orbs the Namekians carry around, my lord," Whis noted as Beerus nodded.

"Oh, those things I remember now. I wasn't expecting more than the one set from Namek to exist. How many are there now?" Beerus asked, turning to Whis.

"A couple of sets scattered across the universe, if memory serves," Whis answered as Goku and Gohan shared a surprised look.

"Alright then, so how long will it take for you to use these Dragon Balls?" Beerus inquired as Goku rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, we still need to find them first, so…an hour at most," Goku answered, causing Beerus to scowl.

"I'm not that patient, Saiyan. If I'm to wait for my answers, I might as well have some fun." Beerus replied, turning his gaze back to Gohan.

"So we're continuing this fight. Who knows, perhaps you're the Super Saiyan God." Beerus insisted as Gohan clenched his fists.

"I guess a fight is inevitable then." Gohan sighed, moving past his father.

"Oh, and I don't do seconds, so you're sitting this one out." Beerus insisted, glaring at Goku, who began to sweat.

"Or else the planet will suffer the consequences." Beerus threatened as Goku grunted and took a step back.

"Sorry, Gohan can't risk it." Goku apologized as Gohan nodded.

"Understood," Gohan replied, getting into a fighting stance.

"I'm ready," Gohan stated, pleasing Beerus.

"Good," Beerus smirked as he suddenly disappeared from view.

Instinctively, Gohan raised his arms in defense as Beerus's fist slammed against them. The attack had such force that it sent Gohan rocketing backward. Throwing his arms out, Gohan knocked Beerus's hand away, giving him room to punch Beerus in the face.

But his fist never made contact as Beerus caught it in his other hand. The god then planted his knee into Gohan's gut, causing the Half Saiyan to cough up spit before clenching his teeth and butting his head into Beerus's chin.

Then, using his free hand, Gohan fired a one-handed Kamehameha into Beerus's stomach, pushing him away. However, it didn't push Beerus far, as the god kicked Gohan's Kamehameha into the sky before throwing a punch in front of him, sending pressurized air toward Gohan.

Due to the surprise of his Kamehameha being redirected with ease, Gohan was unprepared for the follow-up attack as the pressurized air hit him in the gut. Bending over in pain, Gohan was open for another attack by Beerus, who struck down on the back of Gohan's head.

Gohan was sent careening toward the ground as Beerus followed close behind. But Gohan quickly readjusted his body before firing off a Kamehameha at the ground, using it to propel himself back up toward Beerus.

The two collided in the air, creating a massive shockwave that blew through the area, causing Goku to shield himself as Whis watched unaffected. However, Beerus overpowered Gohan, sending them both to the ground.

Rock flew to the sky as the two hit the ground, with Beerus being the first one to get back to his feet. He raised both of his hands, creating balls of Ki in each as Gohan fired off a quick Masekno into Beerus's face before shooting off into the sky.

Undeterred, Beerus threw the balls after Gohan, who fired off quick blasts to destroy them, creating a cloud of smoke which Beerus dispersed as he charged toward Gohan, throwing a punch at his stomach only for Gohan to dodge and plant his elbow into Beerus's face.

Flipping back, Beerus wrapped his tail around Gohan's arm and threw him back toward the ground. Quickly stopping himself, Gohan spun around to face Beerus once more as the god fired a small beam at Gohan's chest.

The Half Saiyan maneuvered out of the beam's path only for Beerus to intercept him, landing a blow against Gohan's cheek. Clenching his teeth, Gohan pushed past the incredible pain from Beerus's attack and spun around to kick Beerus across his face.

Without missing a beat, Gohan continued his spin, landing another kick on Beerus's face before following it up with an uppercut to the god's chin and a fist in his gut. Gohan didn't stop his assault as he didn't want to give Beerus any time to react or respond to his moves.

Next was an elbow to the chest, then a punch to the face, and a spear jab into the god's neck until topping it off with a point-blank Masenko. The blast completely encompassed Beerus as Gohan's assault finished with him panting heavily.

"Not bad," Beerus smirked, shocking Gohan as he appeared almost entirely unharmed.

"You're definitely stronger than Jason Shin. But not at the level of what I would call a rival." Beerus noted as he shoved his open palm into Gohan's chest, sending him flying away.

"Gohan!" Goku cried as he watched his son be sent flying before clenching his teeth and moving his hand toward his head.

"I wouldn't if I were you," Whis advised, halting Goku.

"What do you mean?" Goku questioned, confused at why Whis had stopped him.

"If you interfere even a little bit, Lord Beerus will be quite upset. He might even destroy the planet." Whis explained, shocking Goku.

"So even if I just grab Gohan so he can continue fighting here, Beerus will get mad?!" Goku gasped, hoping he could at least catch his son.

"That is correct. In fact, it may be more advantageous to look for those Dragon Balls." Whis advised as Goku scowled while looking back over to where Gohan was sent flying.

"Fine," Goku muttered before disappearing.

As Goku left, Gohan was finally managing to slow himself down until Beerus appeared before him and punched him once again. The Half Saiyan was sent flying off until he finally came crashing down in a busy city street. Many civilians who hadn't already fled froze at the sudden occurrence as Gohan slowly picked himself up.

"N-No, not in the city." Gohan gasped, horrified at the development, only for Beerus to retake his attention as he appeared in front of Gohan.

"Wait, not here!" Gohan begged only for his cries to fall on deaf ears.

"Don't get weak on me now." Beerus insisted as he punched Gohan in his face, sending him skidding across the street, tearing it up, and pushing any vehicle out of the way.

Beerus followed close behind, delivering a strong uppercut on Gohan, sending him flying up and crashing through a bridge. Having regained his composure, Gohan managed to stop himself from crashing into a building as Beerus shot toward him.

Raising his arms, Gohan blocked a kick from Beerus, using all his strength to avoid being sent into the building behind him. Pushing Beerus's leg away, Gohan flew up toward the sky in an attempt to get away from the city.

Unfortunately for him, Beerus appeared in his path, sending Gohan falling back down toward the city with a flick of his finger. Focusing on stopping his momentum, Gohan stopped himself, avoiding hurting civilians and damaging more property.

However, this just left him open for Beerus to plant his foot in Gohan's stomach, causing the Half Saiyan to spit up blood. But Gohan stopped himself from being sent flying once more by grabbing onto Beerus's leg with all his might.

"Hmm…" Beerus hummed, looking at Gohan with disappointment.

"Are you just going to keep fighting defensively?" Beerus questioned as he used his tail to whip Gohan across the face, forcing the Half Saiyan to release his grip on Beerus.

"I…I won't fight here." Gohan spat, slowly picking himself up.

"Tch. How boring." Beerus muttered, creating a small ball on the tip of his finger.

"What's the point of defending this city?" Beerus sighed, pointing to one of the nearby buildings.

"All things eventually end anyway," Beerus stated, sending the ball hurdling toward the building.

Without hesitation, Gohan moved in the ball's way, setting it off prematurely with his own ball of Ki. The resulting explosion obliterated the street they were on and sent Gohan into the building he was defending.

Thankfully, the damage wasn't as bad as it would have been should Beerus's attack landed. When Gohan stood up, Beerus appeared and landed a swift blow on Gohan's head. The god laid into Gohan, hitting the Half Saiyan over and over, leaving him bloodied and bruised.

After he was finished, Gohan fell to his knees, his face covered with bruises and blood dripping from his mouth. Beerus grabbed onto the Half Saiyan's neck and lifted him up, looking at him with utter disappointment.

"Though you are stronger than him, you barely lasted a quarter of the time I fought Jason Shin," Beerus muttered, dropping Gohan to the ground.

"I guess it's time to pay the prince a visit," Beerus murmured, turning his back to the laying Gohan.

But that was a mistake.

No sooner did Beerus turn his back did Gohan spring to his feet again and pushed his energy to the max. Taken aback, Beerus couldn't react in time as Gohan fired a large Kamehameha, pushing the god out of the building and back outside.

With expert control over his energy, Gohan redirected his Kamehameha into the sky, dragging Beerus along with it. Once Beerus was a good distance above, Gohan quickly flew off to put some distance between himself and the city.

This had been the Half Saiyan's plan once he realized that Beerus would not allow him to leave without causing more damage. He allowed himself to be at Beerus's mercy not only to make the god let down his guard but also to ensure that everyone nearby could safely get away.

Once he was sure everyone was at a safe distance, he struck Beerus and pushed him as far as he could into the sky so he could finally move away from the city and keep everyone inside safe from his battle with Beerus.

That being said, it didn't take the god long to catch up with Gohan as he shot down from the sky and knocked Gohan into a mountain. Tumbling down the mountainside, Gohan eventually came to a stop as Beerus landed in front of him.

"I have to admit I wasn't expecting that move from you. But it seems that you got what you wanted." Beerus noted as Gohan stood back up.

"Ready to fight seriously?" Beerus inquired as Gohan wiped the blood from his mouth.

"Yeah," Gohan replied before shooting off toward Beerus.

Gohan threw a punch at the god's head, only for him to move his head out of the way easily. Beerus responded by shooting a beam at Gohan's stomach, but the Half Saiyan used his outstretched arm to grab onto the god's shoulder and use it to flip over Beerus and avoid the beam.

Landing behind Beerus, Gohan went to sweep the god's feet, but it seemed that Beerus anticipated this move as he jumped into the air and used his tail to swipe at Gohan. However, after years of training with Jason, who used his tail often in battle for surprise attacks, Gohan managed to avoid the attack.

Regaining his footing first, Gohan poured his energy into the ground and caused it to explode violently below Beerus before he could land. This pushed the god back into the air, leaving his back open to Gohan.

Without missing a beat, Gohan fired another max-powered Kamehameha at Beerus's back, shaking the ground as he kept the output of his Ki at max. But he could not keep this up for long as he was forced to stop his attack to save some energy to himself as he collapsed onto one knee.

Though he didn't want to admit it, Gohan was on his last legs. His reckless plan to get out of the city had used up most of his energy with the max-powered Kamehameha, and the second one nearly drained him if it wasn't for the fact he stopped himself.

But his objective wasn't to win but to buy as much time for Jason to gather the Dragon Balls and learn about the Super Saiyan God. Not that he had any chance of winning in the first place. Gohan could tell from the start that Beerus was playing with him.

The gap between their power was too vast for him. That was made clearly evident as even when he hit the god with two maxed-out Kamehamehas. The god was barely fazed. Even now, as the dust settled, Beerus leisurely landed on the ground in front of Gohan.

"Not bad. That was definitely a much better show than your display earlier." Beerus commented as Gohan stood back up.

"Well, things have only just begun," Gohan bluffed as Beerus chuckled.

"I do hope so. I would have been disappointed otherwise." Beerus replied, charging toward Gohan.

The Half Saiyan bent backward, avoiding the initial attack, only for Beerus to spin around and kick Gohan in the chest, sending him down the mountain. In retaliation, Gohan fired several balls of Ki at Beerus, who easily dodged the attacks.

But Gohan wasn't hoping to hit Beerus with the move as he used his attack to blow apart the upper parts of the mountain, causing a landslide. The landslide came crashing down toward Beerus and Gohan, with neither moving out of the way.

Beerus simply didn't care to move, while Gohan used the landslide to put some distance between himself and Beerus. Though, the god was unamused by the effort as he blew the landslide into the sky, revealing Gohan easily.

"No more of those tricks," Beerus muttered as he created several balls of Ki and sent them flying down toward Gohan.

Gritting his teeth, Gohan flew up toward Beerus, doing his best to dodge each attack. The last thing he wanted was to be hit by one of them or be caught in the explosion when it hit the ground. However, none reached the ground, for they immediately shot back into the air at Gohan.

"Damn!" Gohan cursed as he flew around, attempting to avoid the attacks.

But the attacks were relentless in their chase, leaving him no choice. He had to cause them to explode before one eventually hit him. Turning around, he fired several beams, breaking the balls of Ki one by one.

Slowly but surely, Gohan dealt with the balls until, eventually, there were none left, allowing him to breathe a momentary sigh of relief. And momentary, it was as Gohan noticed that he had lost sight of Beerus.

It seemed that Beerus had used his attack on Gohan as a chance to move out of sight, and with Gohan being unable to sense Beerus's energy, he was too late to find him as he looked up and saw an extremely large ball of Ki descending upon him.

Raising up his arms, Gohan was forced to catch the ball as it pushed him back toward the ground. The Half Saiyan struggled under the pressure of the attack, barely able to keep it back as the palms of his hands began to burn.

Eventually, Gohan's feet hit the ground as the weight and power of the ball began to crush him. But despite Gohan pushing back with all his strength, he couldn't keep the ball back. That didn't stop Gohan from giving it his all as he held it back with all his might until…

The ball disappeared.

"What?!" Gohan gasped, nearly falling over from the sudden loss of the immovable object.

Suddenly, Beerus came crashing down from above, planting Gohan into the dirt as the ground was torn open. When the dust settled, Beerus stood on top of a bloodied Gohan, who struggled to pick himself back up.

"Don't tell me you're done already? I was just starting to have fun." Beerus muttered as Gohan stubbled back to his feet.

"I…I…I'm not…" Gohan murmured before a gloved hand chopped him in the back of the head, knocking him down.

"Stay down before you embarrass yourself any further." A Stern Voice insisted as Gohan slowly turned to see his attack.

"V-Vegeta?!" Gohan gasped, surprised at the sight of the Saiyan Prince.

Minutes Earlier…

Capsule Corp…

Vegeta laid back in his chair and closed his eyes, attempting to tune out the party nearby. The Saiyan Prince wasn't interested in whatever festivities were going on, so unless Bulma insisted that he join, Vegeta would simply sit them all out. At least, that was what he planned on doing until Jason and Piccolo appeared unannounced next to him.

"Well, I wasn't expecting you to come here." Vegeta snickered, sitting up.

"Thought you were supposed to be busy," Vegeta noted as he noticed Scarlet clutching to Jason's leg.

"I also didn't think you'd bring your daughter here, too. Don't tell me you brought your whole family?" Vegeta questioned, surprised Jason had brought Scarlet.

"Not exactly. She stowed away." Jason responded, causing Scarlet to let out a nervous laugh, avoiding eye contact with Vegeta.

Scarlet would be lying if she said that she wasn't intimidated by the Saiyan Prince, who always looked like he was annoyed by something. She had only met him a handful of times, and each time, he always wore the same expression.

"Focus, we don't have time to waste." Piccolo reminded as Jason nodded.

"Why don't you have time to waste?" Vegeta inquired, crossing his arms.

"Unfortunately, there's …a situation," Jason answered, making Vegeta scowl.

"Is that why I feel Gohan's energy in a fight?" Vegeta asked, looking off in the direction of Gohan and Beerus's fight.

"Yeah, he's currently holding off our problem." Jason nodded, but Bulma called out to him before he could explain further.

"Jason! What brings you around here? I thought you were too busy to visit!" Bulma exclaimed, approaching the three before noticing Scarlet.

"You even brought Scarlet!" Bulma exclaimed as Scarlet gave Bulma a small wave while Piccolo pulled Vegeta aside to explain the situation.

"Hello, Miss Bulma. Happy Birthday." Scarlet waved, making Bulma smile.

"Thank you! Is your mom and brother here too?" Bulma inquired as Scarlet shook her head.

"No, they're back at home," Scarlet answered, but Jason spoke up before she could speak further.

"Yeah, Neo was tired from work, and Roman doesn't like large crowds. I was just planning on hopping over to give your present personally. Scarlet, uh…tagged along." Jason lied, keeping the knowledge about Beerus a secret as he handed Bulma her present.

"Oh, thanks! Well, stay around for a while. The party's just started!" Bulma thanked as Jason nodded.

"Sure. Scarlet, how about you go have some fun while I talk with Vegeta." Jason suggested, shocking Scarlet, who looked at her father confused.

"But Dad…" Scarlet began only to be silenced when Jason placed his hand on her head.

"Don't worry about it. Everything's going to be okay." Jason insisted, giving his daughter a reassuring smile.

"Okay…" Scarlet murmured, slowly moving away.

"So you're saying that this God of Destruction is searching for a Super Saiyan God to fight?" Vegeta inquired, rubbing his chin as something about this God of Destruction sounded familiar.

"That's what Jason and Goku said, and I doubt Gohan would charge up to full power for nothing," Piccolo answered as Jason rejoined the two.

"That's right. We need all hands on deck right now to help stop this." Jason stated as Goku suddenly appeared next to the three, surprising them.

"G-Goku?! Weren't you supposed to be with Gohan?" Jason gasped, surprised that Goku was no longer with Gohan.

"Yeah, but Beerus wasn't having any of it. I couldn't interfere or…he'd destroy Earth." Goku explained as Vegeta was taken aback by the mention of Beerus's name.

"Beerus? You said Beerus, right?!" Vegeta gasped, beginning to sweat as Goku turned to face him.

"Yeah, I did." Goku nodded as Jason walked up next to him.

"He's the God of Destruction…." Vegeta muttered as a memory from his childhood came to the surface.

He remembered walking through the halls of his family's castle and finding his father on all fours before Beerus as the god placed his foot on the king's head. Under normal circumstances, such an act would have irritated Vegeta, but Beerus's mere presence had made his younger self shake in his boots.

"T-That God…he's now here on Earth…" Vegeta thought as he gripped onto his head.

"Vegeta…do you know who he is?" Jason questioned, intrigued by what Vegeta said.

"I…" Vegeta murmured as the memory replayed in his head.

"I was young when I first laid eyes on that god," Vegeta stated, surprising Goku, Jason, and Piccolo.

"I remember him planting his foot on my father's head as he knelt to him. No one, not even Frieza, had humiliated my father as such." Vegeta answered, returning his gaze upward.

"So he's here. Looking for all the remaining Saiyans?" Vegeta inquired as Goku nodded.

"That's right. And he'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants, even threatening our families and planets to get what he wants." Jason responded as Vegeta's scowl deepened.

"Very well. Then what's the plan?" Vegeta asked, getting down to the point.

"We need the Dragon Radar to gather the Dragon Balls and ask the dragon to get answers about this Super Saiyan God. Gohan is currently buying us time against Beerus so we can search." Jason explained as Vegeta looked over toward where he sensed Gohan.

"I see," Vegeta murmured, adjusting his glove.

"The Dragon Radar is in Bulma's lab in one of her drawers; I don't recall which. Get it and gather those damned orbs fast, and not a word about this to Bulma. I won't allow anything or anyone to ruin this day for her." Vegeta insisted, making Goku smirk.

"You're pretty protective of Bulma when you want to be, aren't you, Vegeta?" Goku teased as Vegeta blushed in embarrassment.

"Shut up!" Vegeta shouted as he turned to leave.

"Where are you going?" Piccolo questioned as Vegeta looked at him.

"To buy you three more time," Vegeta stated before turning back around.

"Are you sure about that Vegeta? Even I wasn't able to hold my own against Beerus. I can't guarantee you'll do any better." Jason warned, causing the Saiyan Prince to scoff.

"Don't mock me like that. I won't back down just because my opponent is stronger than I am. So get going already." Vegeta replied as he quickly grabbed onto something from a nearby table and shot off into the sky.

"Right." Jason nodded as he, Goku, and Piccolo ran toward Capsule Corporation's main building.

Scarlet watched them enter the building with a pout on her face. She didn't doubt her father's words, but she hated being sidelined when she could possibly help. Sure, she could try to follow them, but what would that accomplish if she watched them gather the Dragon Balls? On the bright side, she'd at least get to see them finally.

"Oh hey, you're Mr. Jason's kid, aren't ya." A Voice commented behind Scarlet.

Turning around, Scarlet was met by Trunks and Goten, who were giving her inquisitive looks. Surprised, Scarlet almost jumped back, having not noticed the two had approached her, most likely due to being too distracted.

"Wow, I didn't know you or your dad was coming." Trunks smirked as Scarlet remained silent.

She simply stared at them for what felt like a good minute, making the air around the three feel pretty off. It's not that she didn't want to say anything. She just…didn't know what to say. Scarlet wasn't what you'd call close with her fellow Half Saiyans.

After all, she'd only met them on a few occasions, and they didn't interact much even then. Additionally, with them being older than her, it made talking to them fairly awkward. So, how she would go about this conversation was still a mystery to her.

"Hey, are you okay?" Goten inquired, tilting his head, confused at why Scarlet was just looking at them.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine, just…uh…" Scarlet muttered, slowly trailing off before coming to a thought.

"Coming up with a plan!" Scarlet declared, confusing Goten and Trunks.

"A plan for what?" Trunks questioned as Scarlet smirked.

"Follow me. I'll explain on the way." Scarlet answered, rushing off toward where her father and Goku had gone.

Present…

"V-Vegeta?!" Gohan gasped, surprised at the sight of the Saiyan Prince.

"This is certainly unexpected. What brings you here, Prince Vegeta?" Beerus inquired, tapping his chin.

"Gohan. Are you still able to fight?" Vegeta questioned, ignoring Beerus's question.

"N-No…I'm at the end of my rope here." Gohan admitted while he was barely able to stand.

"Then sit down. I'll take over." Vegeta insisted, surprising Gohan.

"Vegeta, you can't!" Gohan cried, but he was ignored by the Saiyan Prince.

"So you wish to tag in, little Prince? I'm actually quite surprised, but I won't lie. I am curious to see how strong you are." Beerus murmured, causing Vegeta to scowl.

"Yes, from what I hear, you must be," Vegeta commented before fishing a small capsule from under his armor.

"But first…" Vegeta stated as he tossed the capsule.

"Please accept this feast as a gift first!" Vegeta insisted as he knelt down and presented a large table of delicious food, much to the surprise of both Gohan and Beerus.

A strong pause fell upon the three as Vegeta shook with embarrassment, with his head still bowed toward Beerus. He hated this. He hated everything about it. But Vegeta knew that doing this would guarantee more time for Jason and Goku to look for the Dragon Balls.

Sure, he could also fight Beerus, but Vegeta knew he wouldn't last long. So he'll delay it for as long as he can, even if it means embarrassing himself. In order to protect Earth and Bulma's big day, then he'd do it.

"Really, a bribe? Well, if you think that will stop…" Beerus began before stopping sniffing the air.

"Oh!" Beerus gasped, walking over to the table of food.

"This smells really good!" Beerus smirked while licking his lips.

"Maybe just one." Beerus smiled, picking off one of the many assortments and taking a bite.

The moment he closed his mouth, Beerus's eyes widened, and he began to stuff more of the food into his mouth. Gohan looked at Beerus in shock as the god ate more and more from the table of food Vegeta had provided.

Beerus ate food much like a Saiyan, stuffing his face with as much as he could get. Though it seemed the god had some standards as any he didn't like got tossed away. With how the god reacted to the food, Gohan wondered if they needed to fight him. Maybe they could just give him some food, and he'll be satisfied.

"Not bad! The food of this planet is amazing!" Beerus exclaimed, looking very happy.

"Oh my. It seems that you've found Lord Beerus's appetite." Whis sighed as the angel appeared next to the God of Destruction.

"Lord Beerus, shouldn't you be focusing on your search for the Super Saiyan God? After all, we came all the way here for…." Whis began before stopping short as he caught a whiff of the food.

"Hm? What is this?" Whis wondered, picking up a piece of sushi with some chopsticks and eating it.

"INCREDIBLE!" Whis cried before eating some more.

"Food this good makes this trip all the more worth it!" Whis exclaimed as Beerus nodded.

"Indeed, it certainly eliminates the rest of that foul-tasting food from planet…whatever its name was." Beerus agreed, unable to even recall Planet Champagne.

"I can't get enough!" Beerus smiled, continuing to eat the food Vegeta had provided.

"I can't believe this is working." Gohan gasped as Vegeta nodded.

"Now let's hope Kakarot and Arrow can get the damn Dragon Balls fast," Vegeta muttered, still embarrassed at his own actions.

Capsule Corp…

"Where the hell is this thing?!" Jason shouted, throwing a box aside.

"We've searched his lab up and down and still can't find that stupid radar!" Jason complained as Goku pulled out a drawer and emptied the contents on the floor.

"It's not in any drawer! Bulma must have moved it!" Goku determined as he put everything back into the drawer just as it was.

"Wrecking her lab isn't going to help!" Piccolo pointed out as Jason and Goku quickly fixed up their mess.

"We know we're going to put everything back," Goku replied as Jason sighed.

"You know. I didn't want to suggest it, but…should we just ask Bulma?" Jason suggested as Goku scratched his head.

"I mean, I'd rather not because it'll make both her and Vegeta mad. But there may not be any other choice." Goku murmured, crossing his arms.

"I guess we'll look for a while longer before asking." Jason sighed, opening up another box as Goku followed suit.

While the three were preoccupied with looking for the Dragon Radar, they were too busy to sense the energy around them apart from the battle with Beerus, which seemed to calm down. This meant the two failed to notice that they were being watched by Scarlet, Trunks, and Goten, who stood by the window overlooking them.

"Wow, they're really in a rush," Goten commented, watching the three rummage through Bulma's lab.

"If my mom saw this, she'd flip." Trunks noted before turning to Scarlet.

"So what you said about this God of Destruction Beerus is true then!" Trunks gasped, having heard the story from Scarlet.

"Yeah, he was able to beat both my Dad and Mr. Goku really easily. So they're looking for the Dragon Balls to get answers on this Super Saiyan God thing." Scarlet nodded, making Goten and Trunks smile.

"Cool!" The Two exclaimed, confusing Scarlet.

"C-Cool?" Scarlet questioned, looking at the two boys in shock.

"Of course, it sounds like a big fight is about to happen!" Trunks smirked as Goten nodded.

"Yeah, and with all the training we've been doing, there's no way this God of Destruction can go against the mighty Gotenks!" Trunks boasted as he and Goten smirked confidently.

"Did you two just miss that he beat my Dad and Mr. Goku?" Scarlet inquired, not believing for a second they could beat Beerus even if they fused.

"Yeah, but that shouldn't mean we don't get a turn!" Goten murmured as Scarlet just shook her head.

"Wouldn't your moms get angry if they find out about that?" Scarlet pointed out as Goten and Trunks froze.

"I would get grounded for a year if I did it, especially today." Trunks noted knowing how angry his mom would be if he did that on her birthday.

"Yeah, and my mom would make me sit and study even more than usual." Goten sighed, looking down.

"Well then, how about we just get that radar and help find the Dragon Balls! This way, we won't get in trouble with any of our parents!" Scarlet suggested as Goten nodded.

"Yeah, then maybe we can watch the resulting fight." Goten smiled as Trunks smirked while rubbing under his nose.

"Well, we don't have to look too far." Trunks stated, confusing Scarlet and Goten.

"What does that mean?" Scarlet asked, tilting her head in confusion.

"Let's just say my mom went all out when it came to her party." Trunk smirked before flying off.

"You guys are going to love this!" Trunks snickered, gesturing for Scarlet and Goten to follow him.

The other two Half Saiyans shared a look before quickly following Trunks as he flew back toward the party. But before he reached the party, Trunks took a turn toward the lower parts of his family's compound and landed in front of a door.

"Uh, Trunks, what's this?" Goten questioned as he and Scarlet landed in front of Trunks.

"You'll see." Trunks smirked, opening the door and ushering his fellow Half Saiyans inside.

Inside was very dark, with everyone barely able to see a few feet in front of them. That is until Trunks switched on the light, revealing what lay within a large platform with seven shining orange orbs sitting at the center.

"What's that?" Scarlet inquired, floating up toward the orbs.

"It's the Dragon Balls!" Goten exclaimed, following her.

"These are the Dragon Balls?! They're smaller than I imagined." Scarlet commented, having thought such powerful objects would be larger.

"I know, but they're the real deal. Mom gathered them up to be a prize for some game she has planned, but if the world's fate is at stake, I don't think she'll mind." Trunks replied, looking triumphant though he hadn't done anything.

"So we can use these like my Dad said, right? To find the Super Saiyan God?" Scarlet asked, turning toward Trunks.

"It should. I always heard that they can grant any wishes we want." Trunks answered, putting his hands behind his head.

"Plus, a big dragon comes out to grant you the wishes!" Goten exclaimed, waving his hands over his head.

"Wow…" Scarlet gasped, looking deeply at the Dragon Balls.

"Say, could they…make you taller?" Scarlet questioned, imagining a fully grown version of herself towering over Milo.

Trunks held onto what Scarlet said and began imagining himself taller as well, with everyone in his family praising him. Meanwhile, Goten looked at the two, confused as they were engrossed in their fantasy.

"So, should we bring these to Dad and Mr. Jason?" Goten pointed out, snapping Scarlet and Trunks out of their thoughts.

"Oh yeah, we should do that." Scarlet nodded as the three Half Saiyans gathered up the Dragon Balls.

"Let's hope they haven't gone off any…" Trunks began before the room around them shook furiously while the ceiling cracked.

"What just happened?!" Goten questioned, looking around.

"It sounded like something crashed above us." Trunks commented as Scarlet nervously gulped.

"I-I think I feel Mr. Vegeta and Mr. Gohan's energy up there," Scarlet noted, knowing what that meant.

Minutes Earlier…

Vegeta furrowed his brow as he watched Beerus and Whis eat the food he had brought. He had not expected this outcome to occur so soon, but it seemed Beerus was more of a glutton than he had thought. That, along with Whis joining in on the feast, made the food reserves run out fairly fast, which only served to further Beerus's agitation.

"Hey, is there any more of this stuff?" Beerus questioned, turning to look at Vegeta, who began to sweat nervously.

"Yes. Just let me go and get you more." Vegeta insisted moving to fly back to his home.

"How about we just go with you," Whis suggested, stepping forward, causing Vegeta to flinch.

"No need. I'll be quick." Vegeta replied, grabbing onto Gohan.

"Oh, but if we go with you, then you won't have to cart us food back here." Beerus pointed out while he picked at his teeth.

Vegeta grunted as he peered toward Beerus behind him. It would make things easier just to take him back to Capsule Corp and keep giving him food there, but...if he did that, there was a chance that something would set him off, and he'd destroy everything, starting with Bulma and everyone else.

"It's nothing exciting. Please just remain here, and I'll…" Vegeta began before being stopped when Beerus appeared before him.

"Are you refusing a request from a God?" Beerus questioned, looking down at Vegeta, who grit his teeth.

If it were anyone else, Vegeta would have attacked right then and there, but because it was Beerus, he knew he was out of his league. Neither Goku, Jason, or even Gohan could defeat him, so how could he? That thought angered Vegeta to no end as he clenched his fists.

"Have I fallen so far behind that I think so little of myself?!" Vegeta questioned as he glared at Beerus.

"I am Prince Vegeta. I may not be as strong as Kakarot, Arrow, or Gohan, but I will not be thought of as below them, not even by myself!" Vegeta determined as he calmed himself.

"You either wait here for the food, or you don't get any at all," Vegeta stated, staring Beerus straight in his eyes.

"Is that so?" Beerus muttered, glaring at Vegeta before swiftly striking him and sending him flying.

"VEGETA!" Gohan cried, watching as the Saiyan Prince was sent flying away.

Disorientated, Vegeta barely clung to consciousness as he stopped his momentum and turned around just in time to see Beerus fly toward him. Quickly transforming into Super Saiyan 2, Vegeta dropped down and avoided Beerus's attack before firing a large beam straight up at the god.

Beerus easily avoided Vegeta's attack and dove down toward the Saiyan Prince, who cut off his attack to defend himself. Crossing his arms, Vegeta was sent crashing into the ground by Beerus's punch, forming a large crater where he landed.

His arms, now numb from the pain, shook as Vegeta pushed himself back to his feet as Beerus landed before him. With a loud cry, Vegeta threw his fist at Beerus's face, only for the god to lazily catch it in his open palm.

"Is that all you have?" Beerus questioned, his voice filled with disinterest.

Gritting his teeth, Vegeta jumped back before launching himself at Beerus and hitting him much harder than before. Beerus once again caught the attack in his palm, but this time, it was pushed back a little as Vegeta twisted his body and kicked Beerus in the head.

Annoyed, Beerus flicked his head back, pushing Vegeta's leg away before grabbing onto the Saiyan Prince's hand and slamming him back into the ground. The god then fired point-blank at Vegeta, who shot off a quick Big Bang Attack to minimize the damage to him.

When the two attacks collided, it created a massive explosion that eviscerated the ground where Beerus and Vegeta were. With a quick flex of his power, Beerus dispelled the smoke that surrounded them, revealing him to still be unharmed with a beaten-up Vegeta below him.

"Are we done here? Because you're far more boring than Goku." Beerus noted, causing Vegeta to growl.

"D-Don't…" Vegeta stuttered as he struggled to move.

"What was that?" Beerus questioned, tilting his head and holding his hand near his ear.

"Don't count me out yet!" Vegeta declared as he placed his hands against the ground and fired off two beams, sending him rocketing upward and slamming into Beerus.

This attack actually managed to push Beerus back, taking the god by surprise as Vegeta slammed his hands against the god's head and released a large amount of energy on it. The desperate attack caused another explosion directly on Beerus's head as Vegeta planted his feet on the god's chest and kicked him away.

Vegeta then hurled as many balls of Ki as he could muster at Beerus, but the god was undeterred. Having had enough of Vegeta's attacks, Beerus shot toward the Saiyan Prince, aiming to hit him across the face, but before Beerus could make it, Gohan flew in and kicked him in the head.

"Hang in there, Vegeta!" Gohan called, moving to meet up with Vegeta, only for Beerus to grab onto his leg.

"You already tapped out. I'm done with you." Beerus stated, throwing Gohan into the ground.

With his attention momentarily on Gohan, Vegeta rushed in for another attack, only for Beerus's tail to wrap around his arm and slam the Saiyan Prince into the ground. Beerus proceeded to lift Vegeta back up before slamming him back to the ground over and over again.

"There. Are you ready to give up?" Beerus inquired, lifting Vegeta up as he reverted back to base form.

"N-N-No…" Vegeta muttered, struggling even to respond.

"W-Wait here, and I will get the food." Vegeta insisted as he stared Beerus straight into his eyes.

"Ha! This resilience of yours is quite impressive, Vegeta. But it won't help you now." Beerus stated as Whis landed next to them.

"You know, my lord, we could just go there ourselves without his help," Whis suggested, shocking Vegeta.

"Oh right, I guess you could," Beerus noted as Whis stared into the orb that sat on the top of his staff.

"It seems there's a party where Vegeta got the food. I guess he didn't want us or, more specifically, someone interrupting." Whis theorized, taking a glance at Beerus.

"Who would do that?" Beerus questioned, turning toward Whis, who chuckled.

"Yes, I wonder who?" Whis laughed, knowing that it was Beerus.

"Well, in any case, let's just go over there, and then you'll get more food for us, Vegeta," Beerus smirked, turning back to face an angry Vegeta before shooting off toward Capsule Corp.

"I know the food was good, but I suppose Lord Beerus has really taken a liking to it," Whis commented quickly, following.

Gohan and Vegeta struggled in Beerus's grip as he dragged them along, but neither could stop him before they crashed at Capsule Corp. The resulting quake shook the surrounding area, causing power to cut for a moment before coming back on.

"Just great what could this be?" Bulma questioned, looking toward the large crowd of dust that was created as Vegeta's form began to emerge.

"Vegeta, just what did you…" Bulma began before noticing that Vegeta was being held up by Beerus as the god walked out of the cloud.

"Pardon the interruption, but Vegeta here was having trouble getting back home," Beerus smirked before dropping Vegeta to the ground.

"Oh, and this one was getting in the way," Beerus added as he tossed Gohan down.

"No way!" Yamcha gasped as he, Tien, and Krillin stepped forward.

"Gohan!" Krillin cried, getting ready to fight as Beerus stepped forward.

"Hm? Are more pests trying to get in my way?" Beerus murmured as nearby Scarlet, Trunks, and Goten watched the scene unfold.

"So that's Beerus?" Trunks inquired as he held onto two Dragon Balls.

"Yeah, that's him." Scarlet nodded, holding Dragon Balls in each hand and holding a third in her tail.

"Just looking at him makes me feel uneasy," Goten commented while carrying the last two Dragon Balls.

"W-We can't just stand here and watch! We should help!" Trunks insisted as Goten slowly nodded and went to move in shocking Scarlet.

But before the young Half Saiyan could make any protest, her father, Goku, and Piccolo landed before Beerus, stopping the situation from escalating any further. When they landed, Beerus snickered as he tapped his chin.

"I thought I told you I don't do seconds." Beerus reminded, looking toward Goku.

"Please, Lord Beerus, before you do anything drastic, we just need a bit more time to look for the Dragon Balls." Goku pleaded as Beerus scoffed.

"You still haven't found them?" Beerus muttered, looking very displeased.

"Okay, can someone explain to me what's going on?!" Bulma shouted, gaining everyone's attention.

"Who's he, what's he doing here, what are you doing, and what happened to Vegeta?!" Bulma questioned, putting more emphasis on the last part.

"Uh…." Jason hummed, trying to find the right words.

"You see the…the thing is…" Jason began scratching the back of his head.

"He's the God of Destruction, Beerus," Piccolo stated, getting right to the point before turning to Jason.

"There's no point in hiding it anymore, so it's best just to tell her." Piccolo pointed out as Jason sighed.

"Yeah, I guess so," Jason murmured, placing a hand on his forehead.

"Simply put, he's been looking for a Super Saiyan God, and we've been trying to find the Dragon Balls to help that before he…destroys Earth. We didn't tell because we didn't want to ruin your birthday." Jason explained as Bulma sighed.

"While I appreciate the effort, you could have just told me since I already gathered the Dragon Balls," Bulma replied, causing everyone to fall silent.

"Y-You had the Dragon Balls…" Jason murmured, slumping over.

"The whole time?!" Goku gasped as Beerus yawned.

"If that's the case, can you get the answers I want now?" Beerus insisted, calming down a little.

"No!" Bulma hissed, surprising Beerus as she walked forward and pushed past Beerus before stopping next to Vegeta.

"The first thing we're doing is helping Vegeta and Gohan," Bulma stated, poking Beerus in the chest, causing the god to growl in annoyance.

Bulma stood there defiantly, not flinching as Beerus growled in anger until, without hesitation, the god raised his hand and went to end Bulma then and there, only for Vegeta to appear between them.

"Don't you dare…TOUCH MY BULMA!" Vegeta shouted as he fired a point-blank Final Flash at Beerus, who held out his hand to block it and push through to grab onto Vegeta's armor.

"Fine, I'll use you," Beerus muttered before picking up Vegeta and tossing him into Bulma, sending them flying.

They didn't go too far as Piccolo managed to catch them while Goku and Jason stood before an unamused Beerus who didn't give them any attention. Hoping to prevent Beerus from going on a rampage, Goku and Jason charged in to stop him, only for the god to effortlessly knock them down.

"I told you I don't do seconds." Beerus reminded as he went to continue venting his anger.

"Goku!" Krillin cried as he, Tien, and Yamcha charged in.

The three attacked Beerus only for the god to easily shrug them off and whip them away with his tail. They crashed down nearby, with 18 catching onto Krillin before glaring at Beerus. Standing up, 18 fired a large beam at Beerus, who slapped it into the sky before firing a beam toward 18.

Moving fast, Jason used Instant Transmission to move 18 out of the way of the beam as it flew past and into the distance, causing a small explosion outside of the city limits. Goku then rushed in and grabbed onto Beerus's arm before turning into Super Saiyan 3 and using all his strength to throw the god into the ground, only for him not to budge.

Sparing Goku only a single glance, Beerus flicked him away, sending him flying before Jason caught him from behind. After placing Goku down, Jason went to attack Beerus again only for the god to disappear and reappear behind him and knock him back into the ground.

"Just stay down." Beerus insisted as he moved to where Vegeta and Bulma went, only for Whis to appear next to him and grab onto his shoulder.

"Now, now, my Lord, there's no need to go this far. After all, if you destroy this place, you may not find the Super Saiyan God." Whis pointed out as Beerus hummed.

"I suppose you're right. It would be a hassle to go to Namek." Beerus nodded, calming down.

"Actually, Namek was destroyed by Frieza. You'd have to go to New Namek." Whis informed, causing Beerus to groan in annoyance.

"You alright, Vegeta?" Piccolo asked as he placed the Saiyan Prince and Bulma down.

"It doesn't matter if I am. What about Bulma?" Vegeta questioned, turning to see his wife.

"She's fine, just unconscious," Piccolo assured as Dende ran up to them.

"Allow me to help." Dende insisted, placing his hands on Bulma and healing her before moving on to Vegeta.

"I can see why you didn't want him to come here," Bulma commented as Vegeta helped her up.

"Mom, Dad are you okay?!" Trunks questioned, running up with Dragon Balls in hand.

"We're fine. But care to explain why you have those?" Bulma inquired, pointing at the two Dragon Balls in Trunk's hands.

"Oh, this uh…" Trunks murmured as Scarlet and Goten walked up.

"We just wanted to help," Scarlet answered as Piccolo took one of the Dragon Balls from her.

"Well, it does help having them out now," Piccolo noted, turning to Beerus.

"We have the Dragon Balls, so if you be patient for a little longer, you'll get the answers you need." Piccolo insisted holding up the two-star Dragon Ball.

"Fine, but I'm not patient to wait too long," Beerus stated, grabbing some food from a nearby table.

"Better than nothing, I suppose," Jason murmured as he and Goku picked themselves up.

"Yeah, no kidding." Goku laughed before helping up Gohan.

"You okay, son?" Goku asked as Gohan nodded.

"I'll be fine. I just hope this Super Saiyan God can stop Beerus." Gohan answered as Dende healed the three.

"How are you guys holding up?" Jason inquired, turning towards Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha.

"We're fine...but why does trouble always seem to follow you guys?" Krillin answered as 18 helped him up.

"I've been asking that same question for years." Jason sighed as Piccolo spoke up.

"Alright, let's get this started." Piccolo insisted taking the Dragon Balls from the three Half Saiyans before placing them on the ground.

"Before we summon Shenron, we should get the wish straight." Piccolo pointed out, confusing Jason.

"What do you mean? Is it possible that Shenron won't answer us?" Jason questioned as Piccolo shook his head.

"It's not that. We should just make sure we know what kind of answer we want and what question to ask. Because Shenron may not give us the exact information we need." Piccolo explained as Goku hummed.

"Then we can ask him just to tell us everything about the Super Saiyan God," Goku suggested as Piccolo nodded.

"That would be a good way of going about it." Piccolo agreed as Vegeta walked up.

"If the Super Saiyan God is out there, we can also use a wish to bring them here," Vegeta noted as Piccolo turned toward the Saiyan Prince.

"Good idea, but that will depend on this Super Saiyan God is really out there," Piccolo replied before Bulma interjected.

"Either way, can we hurry this up because I don't want any more property damage done here? Plus, those two might eat all the food." Bulma insisted, glancing at Beerus and Whis, who were helping themselves to the food.

"Fair enough. Let's begin." Piccolo nodded while outstretching his hands.

"Eternal Dragon! I call upon thee to grant my wish!" Piccolo chanted, causing the seven Dragon Balls to glow.

Soon, the sky turned dark, and a large beam of light shot out from the Dragon Balls, flying into the sky before contorting around and forming the shape of a dragon. When the light died down, in its place was Shenron.

"You who have gathered the seven Dragon Balls state your two wishes, and I shall grant them." Shenron proclaimed as Scarlet moved next to her father.

"That dragon is really big," Scarlet commented, looking at Shenron in astonishment.

"Yeah, he sure is. I didn't think this is what he would look like either." Jason nodded, confusing Scarlet.

"Wait, you've never seen this before?" Scarlet inquired as Jason shook his head.

"Did I ever say I did?" Jason pointed out as Scarlet placed her finger on her chin.

"I guess not," Scarlet noted as Piccolo stepped forward.

"Great Shenron, we wish to know everything about the Super Saiyan God! The God of Destruction, Beerus, has come seeking one, so we want you to answer the mystery behind it." Piccolo implored as Shenron hummed.

"A simple task. I shall reveal to you everything you need to know about the Super Saiyan Go…wait…did you say Beerus?!" Shenron gasped, looking around scared before spotting the god.

"AH! You are here! I'm very sorry for towering over you like this, Lord Beerus. It's just that my body is so long that I can't help it." Shenron apologized, shocking everyone as they looked between the two.

"It's fine. Just go on and tell us about the Super Saiyan God." Beerus insisted as Shenron nodded.

"R-Right, right." Shenron nodded, regaining his bearings.

"As I was saying, I shall reveal to you everything you need to know about the Super Saiyan God." Shenron declared, returning to his usual self.

"The Super Saiyan God is an ancient and nearly lost legend of the Saiyan race predating the first Super Saiyan." Shenron began as everyone listened carefully.

"It is said that many centuries ago, a single Saiyan had achieved the power in an attempt to stop Saiyans who had fallen on the path of evil only to fail due to the power leaving him upon a time limit running out." Shenron continued as Vegeta raised a brow.

"Wait, so this is a power any Saiyan can achieve?!" Vegeta thought, surprised at the realization.

"However, before the demise of the first Super Saiyan God, word of his existence and power spread over to the Namekians, who wrote about a ritual to create a new Super Saiyan God in a book of legends," Shenron revealed, shocking Piccolo.

"We do? Why is this the first time I've heard of this?" Piccolo gasped, turning toward Dended, who looked equally confused.

"I do not know either. This book of legends must have been lost when the great disaster befell our people on our original home planet." Dende theorized, surprised at this revelation.

"As I was saying," Shenron muttered, annoyed that he was being interrupted.

"The Namekians of old wrote about a ritual to create a Super Saiyan God in their book of legends. The ritual states that if five Super Saiyans of pure heart give their energy to a sixth Saiyan, that Saiyan will transcend into a Super Saiyan God for a short time." Shenron finished as the many Saiyans exchanged glances with one another.

"You mean any one of us can…" Goku began before Vegeta interrupted him.

"Become a Super Saiyan God," Vegeta murmured in disbelief.

"Is that everything, Shenron?" Piccolo inquired as Shenron nodded.

"Yes, that is all the knowledge I know about the Super Saiyan God," Shenron answered, lowering just a little.

"So, do you have any other wish to make? Or can I uh…go?" Shenron inquired, glancing at Beerus.

"No, we're good, Shenron. You may leave." Piccolo answered, only for Dende to run up.

"Actually, Shenron, could you create a copy of the Namekian book of legends?" Dende requested catching Shenron before he left.

"A simple task," Shenron responded as his eyes glowed and a thick leather book appeared in Dende's hands.

"Farewell." Shenron declared as he returned to the Dragon Balls before they scattered across the planet, allowing the sky to return to normal.

"You were invested in this book, weren't you?" Piccolo questioned, looking down at the book.

"Of course! Aren't you curious about our people's lost heritage?" Dende asked as Piccolo looked a little embarrassed.

"I guess I'd be lying if I said no," Piccolo replied, crossing his arms.

"But back to the matter at hand. How are we proceeding further?" Piccolo wondered, turning toward the Saiyans.

"Good question," Jason murmured as he and his fellow Saiyans looked at one another.

"Clearly, we need to do the ritual, but who's going to be the one to gain the power?" Gohan questioned as Beerus stepped forward.

"Well, it'll be a little annoying as I don't like fighting those I already beat, and I'm not fighting children," Beerus stated, gaining everyone's attention.

"Hey, we totally could beat you if…" Trunks began only for his mother to cover his mouth.

"You're going to have to choose one of us then, whether you like it or not." Vegeta pointed out, causing Beerus to scowl.

"Hm," Beerus murmured, looking between the four fighters he had already bested before thinking back on each of their battles before snickering.

"Out of you four, there's only one I'm moderately interested in fighting again with more power." Beerus began before pointing at Goku.

"I'll fight you again, Goku. I want to see how you'll fair once you're stronger." Beerus explained as Goku looked surprised before smirking.

"Alright, I'm fully willing to go another round!" Goku replied, punching his open palm.

"Tsk figures it'd be Kakarot," Vegeta murmured, crossing his arms.

"Would you even be satisfied with a power granted to you?" Jason inquired as Vegeta looked away.

"No, I really wouldn't," Vegeta admitted before turning toward the younger Half Saiyans.

"Trunks. Goten. Get over here. We're going to need you for the ritual." Vegeta insisted as the two young Half Saiyans nodded and ran over.

"What about me?" Scarlet inquired as Jason patted her head.

"Sorry, Scarlet, but the ritual requires Super Saiyans. Just sit back and watch for now." Jason responded before walking over to Goku.

"I guess we should get started. How should we do this?" Jason asked as the six Saiyans gathered around.

"The easiest way to transfer energy to Dad would be to join hands in a circle," Gohan noted as Vegeta sighed.

"Let's get this over with," Vegeta muttered, placing his hand on Goku's back.

Jason joined him by placing his hand on Goku's back before taking Goten's hand, who joined hands with Gohan, who joined hands with Trunks, who held onto Vegeta's hand. Once joined together, they turned to face Goku.

"Alright, Goku, are you ready?" Jason asked as Goku nodded.

"Yeah. Let's do this." Goku smirked before turning into Super Saiyan.

The others followed suit, transforming into Super Saiyans surrounding themselves in golden flames. Once everyone was in Super Saiyan form, they began to pour their energy into Goku, raising his own energy to unprecedented levels.

Everyone watched in awe as the energy contorted and merged with Goku. Scarlet, in particular, was deeply enthralled by the scene as she had never seen Super Saiyan this close before, and the spectacle of the ritual was breathtaking.

"This is taking a lot of my energy," Jason commented, beginning to sweat.

"Kakarot, do you feel any different yet?" Vegeta questioned, struggling to keep this up.

"Besides my energy rising to new heights, I'm not feeling all that different," Goku reported as he grew concerned.

"Keep going. We can't stop now!" Goku insisted as Beerus watched with a scowl.

The Saiyans increased how much power they were giving Goku, causing them to grow further and further exhausted. Some, like Goten and Trunks, were fighting off unconsciousness as they struggled to give any more energy.

But soon, just as everyone ran out of energy, Goku's own aura began to change from yellow to blue. The rest of the Saiyans collapsed in exhaustion as Goku's energy converged around him and covered his form as he floated into the sky.

"Did…did it work?" Gohan questioned, looking up at his father.

"It has to have," Jason replied, rubbing his head.

"I can't sense his energy anymore," Vegeta commented as Beerus smiled ear to ear.

The blue energy surrounding Goku suddenly turned into red flames as his form became clearer before the energy dissipated entirely. When it did, Goku reappeared looking several years younger than he had before, and he was no longer in his Super Saiyan form.

Instead, he looked as if he was in base form, though instead his hair and eyes were now bright red. Goku slowly lowered back down to the ground, touching down in front of his fellow Saiyans.

"Goku. How do you feel?" Piccolo inquired, looking at the Saiyan astonished.

"Amazing," Goku smirked, looking at himself.

"So you've truly become a Super Saiyan God." Beerus snickered, walking toward Goku.

"It seems that way," Goku commented as Whis appeared next to him.

"It's true his Ki is now that of a god," Whis noted, poking Goku's hair before moving back to the food table.

"Well. How about it? Ready to fight a Super Saiyan God?" Goku questioned, getting into his battle stance.

"More than ready," Beerus replied before charging forward and clashing with Goku.

The search ends as Goku has transcended into a Super Saiyan God! But will his newfound power be enough to stop the God of Destruction, or will it fall short? With the other Saiyans out for the count, how will Goku manage alone?

Author's Note:

Hi everyone, sorry for taking so long, but I wanted this chapter to flow just right with both the battles and the small search for the Dragon Balls, especially since I didn't want to make the battles too long since they weren't going to be the main battle of the arc (Aka Goku vs Beerus).

Which, yeah Goku is still the one chosen to be the Super Saiyan God. I didn't want to make Jason or Gohan to become the Super Saiyan God because I want them to gain power through different means than godhood. As for Vegeta, well…let's just say he'll have his moment soon :).

So next chapter will be my own version of the battle between Goku and Beerus, which I'm excited to write, but I have to update my other stories first. Also, if you haven't figured it out next chapter will be the end of the Battle of Gods arc since I don't see any point in stretching it out like the anime did.

The next arc will be an original one, which will bridge the gap between Battle of Gods and Resurrection F. I won't spoil what it will be, but I'm really excited to write it (as a hint, it does contain parts related to the book of legends Dende wished for). Either way, I'm excited to show the stories that arc will tell.

Oh, and before I most likely forget, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! I hope you all have a great time and a lovely holiday. That's all I've got to say for now, so let's get to the reviews:

Locothehood – I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and as for why I'm skipping Broly, it's because I don't see a way for me to bring Jason into the story or tell it in any different way. Honestly, I just don't see this story going any further beyond the Tournament of Power, as I don't have any more stories to tell after that.

Got to end this at some point, and that's where I want to end it. Maybe I'll write a what-if about it one day if I ever get off my ass and update that story, lol.

Luffy L Deathwalker – Well, he's already left Remnant and arrived on Earth. Even if he didn't, he still overpowers everyone, much like how Buu did previously, if not even more so lol. Hope you enjoyed the chapter.

Guest – Well, hopefully, the wait wasn't as long for this chapter XD.

GloGang214 – Yes.

80 – Well, you got a little taste of Scarlet interacting with Trunks and Goten in this chapter, and I do plan on them interacting more in the future.

The Saiyan Boy – Thanks hope you liked this one too!

Welp, that's all I have for now. I'll see you guys next year (Though hopefully not too long).
