The school was quiet. Too quiet for the likes of Ladybug and Chat Noir. The black haired heroine glanced at him as they both stalked the hallways with their weapons at the ready. Chat Noir, but who wasn't the Chat Noir she had thought he was but someone she knew closely. Someone she knew enough that they were happy she was Marinette and still kissed her and liked her more despite the fact. Someone who had feelings for her Ladybug form, then began to like the Marinette side of her too. Well at least they liked her for a split second before she told them she thought they were Luka.

The superheroes checked the classrooms, peeking in through the windows on the doors and finding out that they were all completely empty.

"It's the middle of the day, where could everyone be?" Ladynette asked aloud as she turned to Chat with a perplexed look on her face. She was faced with a cold shrug as he continued down the quiet hall. He wouldn't even look at her. She frowned, spinning her yoyo a little faster but purely out of frustration.

She took a breath and followed him down the stairs towards the courtyard, his cold shoulder being her only company. As they looked around the empty courtyard the entire ground began to shake underneath their feet. Chat gasped as Ladynette almost fell backwards. His gloved hand quickly sprung out to grab her before she fell, holding onto her as they steadied themselves on the shaking ground.

Frantically the duo looked around, trying to figure out what was happening as they heard an evil laugh from above the school. Chat gasped as he looked up and saw a pink and black morphed blob looming over the school with features like Luka's. It's eyes were cruel and unforgiving as it looked at them.

"Chat Noir! It's nice to see you at school and not lip-locking with Marinette, huh?" Both of the heroes turned red as he said that, now knowing why Luka got akumatised. Obviously the guitarist had gotten jealous and heartbroken over the development. But how many people saw them? What if Luka wasn't the only one who saw their morning rendezvous.

A purple butterfly outline appeared over his eyes as he quieted down for a second, the earthquake still continued breaking down the walls of the school as Ladynette quickly tried to formulate a plan in her head. Obviously Hawkmoth had decided to give a few tips to his new puppet.

She intensely ogled the akuma, immediately noticing the liquid face was made completely out of mush. Even the earrings. The akuma couldn't have been on him and her heart quickly raced when she realized it was something like Style Queen- one of the hardest akumas she'd ever faced, granted it was without Chat Noir.

As she thought Luka's face blob thingie morphed into his full body. He charged at them wielding a pink and black weapon much like the one every clone of Ladybug had when she lucky-charmed. It looked wicked, cruel, and sharp.

Chat quickly pulled out his baton, parrying Blob-Monster's attack. It was hard because his knees were shaking because of the earthquake that was still going on. He jumped backwards as the shaking didn't seem to affect the blob monster at all. Other than make his body look as if liquid was rippling.

"Go, my-" He cut himself off, remembering he was still mad at her. "Go find the akuma, I'll hold him off!" He said, using his fencing skills to fight him off. Whenever he tried to counterattack and strike him with the baton it cut through like butter then formed back into what it was before. There was no way he could beat him, all he could do was hold him off for his lady.

As Ladynette flipped away from the two and tried to yoyo away into one of the classrooms the ground began to crumble underneath her feet. She screamed as she fell into the ground. Chat's head whipped around just in time to see her fall, seeing her fingertips hold onto the edge of the hole.

Ladynette let out another scream as she began to lose the strength to keep herself up. Chat couldn't help her, he was too busy fighting off Blob Luka but seeing his love dangle however many feet made him angry. It made him fight harder, pushing back Blobka and rushing to her. At the same time, Bluka stretched his liquid form to grab his foot and trip him. "Ladybug!" He yelped as he fell into the pavement, barely moving over to avoid breaking his nose.

Before he could scramble up and grab her, anything to help her, he heard her scream as she fell.

Chat's face contorted in the angriest face he could muster. New adrenaline jumped through him as he growled. Wielding his baton he jumped to his feet. It happened so fast Bluka could do nothing about it as he backflipped down the hole. He held his body together perfectly straight so he propelled towards Maribug faster. Using his nightvision he saw her in the darkness and timed his baton to latch onto the protruding rock of the hole, catching her in his arms as he looked down at her worriedly, completely forgetting he was angry with her.

"Are you ok?" He asked, one hand wrapped tightly around her waist and the other holding tightly onto the baton that was holding them up and stopping them from falling into the dark abyss.

The pain in his muscles was worth it when he saw the beautiful smile she gave him for saving her from what looked like an awful fall. Since the two of them were considerably deep in the hole there was no way that they could jump up, even with the extent of their superhero abilities.

"How do we get out of this mess?"

Ladybug's eyebrows furrowed as she tried to quickly think of something that could save the both of them. Adricat tried not to think of how cute she looked with her nose all scrunched up as she thought hard. Instead, he tried to focus on keeping the both of them up as they dangled above a seemingly bottomless pit.

"I have an idea."

Chat's muscles tensed as he strained. "Do tell."

Marinette looked at him, her eyes bright as she had a smile on her face. "I'm going to detransform." Chat's jaw dropped and he almost released his grip out of pure shock. Before he could even say anything Marinette spoke over him to defend her seemingly crazy idea. "B-before you say anything... just let me explain-"

"LB! Are you nuts?" His voice turned into an aggravated whisper. "There is an akumatised villain right up there." His green eyes glanced upwards, as if trying to see if Bluka was watching and listening to them. When he saw nothing he continued. "O-okay, okay, he thinks we fell into an abyss but that does not mean you can just detransform for-"

"Chat! This is all I can think of. Just trust me." Before if Marinette told him to trust her he wouldn't even have to think, same for Ladybug, but right now he couldn't help but hesitate. And she couldn't help but notice. Without waiting for his approval, which she was sure wouldn't come, she said the two magic words. "Spots off." If the reveal hadn't happened earlier it definitely would've happened now.

"Ladybug!" He hissed, still not on board with the plan. Her eyes were now determined as she stuck to her plan. Rummaging through her pink sling purse she pulled out a tray of macaroons. "I really don't think this is the time for-"

"Tikki, power up!" She threw up the yellow macaroon as best as she could without putting more pressure on Chat to hold her up. Tikki did a little flip and caught it in her mouth.

"Arial Tikki!" After her transformation, Tikki grinned at Marinette with a beamy smile while Chat's heart melted. The small red kwami now had red and black polka-dotted Ladybug wings.

Chat's mouth turned into an 'o' shape as he realized. "When did you find out what the yellow potion did?"

"I didn't, it was a complete guess. I figured it was between yellow and orange, so I took a leap of faith." Marinette took a deep breath. "Arial-Tikki, spots on!"

After a lengthy transformation, one in which Chat had to shield his eyes from, Marinette's new Ladybug suit was for the most part the same except for the wings she had that sprouted out of her back. With ease she picked up Chat who immediately let out a sigh of relief as she flew then both out of the gigantic pit they had been left to die. Being the first time she had ever done it she didn't quite know what she was doing so she let out a grunt as she just barely let the both of them drop onto the hard pavement of the school courtyard. Chat stretched his arm in relief, holding his muscle. If he was to be completely honest he would've kissed his beloved guns if not for his lady standing right there.

"Are you okay?" She cringed at how hard she had fallen and dropped her and Chat but he seemed more relieved that he wasn't holding on for dear life anymore. She smiled at him, before remembering their situation. "Where's Bluka?"

"You go up to the terrace, I'll search the library." Chat said flippantly, about to scamper off on all fours. The last thing she wanted to do was split up, but the last thing he wanted to do was talk to her anymore than he had to.

Before he could Ladynette grabbed his tail, stopping him in his tracks. "Do you really think it's a good idea to split up?"

"Working together didn't work, so yes, I think it's a good idea to split up. Not all of your plans are going to just work out, okay?" He narrowed his eyes at her, his eyebrows unwavering as his glare on her was fierce. "You're not always right," he muttered under his breath as he turned away, not being able to hold his glare anymore.

She didn't know what to say. She didn't know if she could say anything to fix what was happening between the two, but she knew if she wanted to defeat the akuma it would just have to wait until later. Without a word she released his tail and with a face trying to conceal her hurt she leapt away.

Chat cursed at himself afterward, pushing away feelings of guilt at the face she made. Why should he feel bad? She should! She hurt him- not the other way around. He hissed as he ran towards the library, trying his best not to think of her and in the process doing what he didn't want.
