On a bright sunny morning... a fourteen-year-old Fire Nation princess, named Azula was currently being taken up to an estate within the Fire Nation. The estate she was traveling to were surrounded by green hill and multiple estates. She was riding in a carriage which was being dragged by a black horse and a person controlling the white horse.
Within her mind, she had thought of something.
Brief Flashback
Princess Azula had respectfully groveled before her father within Fire Lord's throne room. Flames burned on the stage as Ozai had no fear of it.
"Rise, my daughter." Ozai chanted.
Azula slowly sat up on her knees. She did not say a word.
"Your uncle, Iroh is a traitor. And your brother, Zuko is a failure. Your task is to capture them dead or alive." Ozai said, giving Azula her first mission.
Azula smiled.
End Brief Flashback
After arriving at an estate, Princess Azula stopped at the front door of an estate. The Carriage Man had opened the door and let Princess Azula out the carriage.
"Here we are, Princess Azula. We have arrived at the Ty Mansion." The Carriage man had told Princess Azula. "Thanks, peasant."
"Now, I should be on my way, and-" The Carriage Man said as he walked back toward the horse carriage.
"Hold on." Azula called the Carriage Man, stopping him in his tracks.
"Is there anything that you need, Princess Azula?" The Carriage Man asked in response.
"Do you really think that I'm going to touch these filthy doors with my precious hands by simply knocking?" Azula asked the Carriage Man, not wanting to touch the front Ty Family door.
"Um... yes?" The carriage man had responded.
Azula turned toward the Carriage Man. "Fool! I am the Princess of the greatest nation in the world! I'd rather die, than touch a filthy door! Now, you as your princess commands you and knock on this door-or else, I will have you and your financially poor family throne in prison for treason!" She said as an annoyed vein appeared over her right eyebrow.
"Y-yes, princess!" The Carriage Man felt intimidated by Azula's threats. He quickly ran toward the front door of the Ty Family and knocked, only twice. Then he stood back next to Princess Azula. "Well, Princess Azula... I have done what you asked. Now, I'm going to return to my family and-"
"Hold on. Are you leaving me here?" Azula asked.
"Um... yes, princess. My job here is done. I have to attend to my second job within the next hour." The Carriage Man said as he had begun to walk toward his carriage. "So long, Princess." As he was walking toward his carriage, blue flames were suddenly bended at him separating him and the horse carriage. The horse was even started a bit. 'What? Blue flames?' The Carriage Man then looked back to see Princess Azula generated a small blue flame within the palm in her right hand and glaring at him.
"You will stay here as long as it takes until I decide whether you're good to leave or not. Are we clear?" Azula glared at the Carriage Man.
"Y-yes, Princess Azula!" The Carriage Man quickly nodded his head up and down. Sweat beads formed on his face. 'This princess is nuts! I thought that I would be getting paid more if I escorted the Fire Nation princess around-but it turns out I was wrong. She has not paid me a single coin, since I had taken the job! If this is the Fire Nation princess, then I cannot imagine how the rest of the Royal Family act.'
"May I help you with something?"
"Eh?" Azula heard a feminine voice coming from behind. She quickly tarnished her blue flame and quickly turned back toward the front door, where she had laid eyes on an adult woman. The woman had fair feminine skin, brownish-gray eyes, long dark brown hair that goes down to her upper back. "Yes. I am here today, because I-"
The woman had gasped as she spotted the golden Fire Nation tiara on Azula's head. "P-Princess Azula!" The woman then groveled before the Fire Nation princess. "We are honored to have you grace us with your presence!"
"Likewise, but there's an important reason on why I came here, today. I have come to see my dear friend, Ty Lee." Azula told the woman.
The woman had gasped, then raised her head to face Azula. "My daughter is currently working on activities, and she doesn't really like to be disrupted from them." She said as she stood on her feet.
"Don't worry, Misses Ty. I'll try to be as respectful as possible." Azula smiled, then walked through the Ty Mansion's front without Ty Lee's mother's consent.
Twenty Moments Later...
Princess Azula had walked outside in the backyard of the Ty Mansion and found something she thought she didn't see. What Azula had saw was...
A fourteen-year-old Ty Lee and was currently practicing dance with a long pink streamer attached to a stick. She was dancing as if she were practicing for a dancing performance. Ty Lee wore a bright pink Qipao-styled blouse with sleeves that goes down to her elbows. White fastening buttons on her Qipao and she also wore a darker shade of pink pants that goes down to her calves. And a pair of black slippers. Her long dark brown hair was tied in a long scorpion stinger-looking braid. Ty Lee had been dancing for twenty minutes stright.
"Ty Lee, is that really you?" Azula asked as she stood and watched Ty Lee dance with the breeze.
Ty Lee gasped when she heard a familiar voice. She looked to her right, four o' Clock and saw a Fourteen-year-old Princess Azula. "Princess Azula!" Ty lee had groveled for four whole seconds, then quickly stood up and hugged her childhood friend. "I am happy to see you, again."
"Likewise." Azula said after they stopped hugging. "But, please. Don't let me interrupt your dancing performance or whatever..."
"Actually, I think I am performing for one day..." Ty Lee said as she dropped her streamer attached to the stick, then sat down.
Azula smiled. "Good. Now that your dancing is out the way, I feel like I should be honest with-I have a proposition for you." Azula had cut to the chase.
"Hm?" Ty Lee stared at Azula.
"You remember my duddy uncle Iroh, don't you?" Azula asked as she looked at the bright blue sky with a few white clouds in it.
"Mm-hmm." Ty Lee giggled and nodded. "He was so funny."
"Hm. I'm glad you said that." Azula said as she attempted to the flick some specks of dirt from her fingernails. "Now he's a traitor to the Fire Nation and I want you to help me capture him. I would be honored if you joined me."
Ty Lee gasped. "Oh, I..." Ty Lee then stood up on her feet. "You see, I really like being at home. There's no place like it."
"I once heard that you had attempted to run away from home in the past, am I wrong?" Azula asked.
"To be honest, you're right." Ty Lee placed a hand on her chest and felt a bit glum. "I have tried, but my parents had always stopped me from joining the circus. They helped me realize how dangerous the outside world is and I don't really want to leave it." Ty Lee said.
"That's good. That's really good. I wouldn't want you to give up your wonderful life-just so you could please me. " Azula said, nonchalantly and waving her right hand, then begun walking back toward Ty Lee's family mansion.
"Thank you, Azula." Ty Lee bowed to Azula by leaning her head forward and pressing her right knuckle in her left palm. She then picked up her stick and had begun to start dancing with the streamer, again.
As Azula was walking, she had suddenly thought of something.
Flashback
Before Azula had approached Ty Lee, she was greeted by Ty Lee's Father and was asked to meet her in his office. Azula sat down in a chair in front of the desk where Ty Lee's father works.
Ty Lee's father had fair masculine skin for a Fire Nation native. He had stood almost at six feet tall, he had long light brown hair, a thick goatee, a pair of golden eyes and had worn a fancy red and black Fire Nation outfit for men. "I am honored that the Fire Nation Princess has visited my home."
"Then, I assume that you know why I'm here, then?" Azula asked. Ty Lee's Father.
"Yes. It means that when a person develops a great fear of fire." Ty Lee's Father had stated.
"Oh. Like this." Azula flipped her wrist over and generated a small blue flame in her left palm.
"Yes, yes, like that. But, please don't bend flames so generously, okay? I beg you." Ty Lee's Father asked nicely while feeling intimidated.
Azula had extinguished the blue flame in her left palm. "Alright, fine. Since you're begging I'll try my best not to torch your fine walls." Azula said.
"Thank you. Now, you must know that Ty Lee is afraid of fire. She doesn't come anywhere near fire-nor does she wear any hot colors that remind her fire-such as red, orange or yellow or even white."
"I see. And this... "Pyrophobia" experience had occurred right after the accident?" Azula asked.
"Yes. After that day, Ty Lee would fear flames. We would do whatever we could to help treat her post traumatic stress disorder. Therapy sessions and fun childlike activities. Luckily, we found an activity she likes and that is dancing."
"Ty Lee likes to dance?"
"Yes. It is the only thing that help calms her from her Pyrophobia." Ty Lee's Father had stated. "We're afraid that if Ty Lee goes into the outside world and get exposed to fire again, then there's a high possibility that she would relapse. That's why we must keep her here." Ty Lee's Father.
"I understand what you are telling me." Azula had replied, then removed herself from a chair, then walked toward the door.
"Thank you, Princess Azula." Ty Lee's Father had said feeling a bit eased.
But before Azula grabbed the doorknob, she stopped. "But I'm afraid that I'm not leaving without Ty Lee. She's too valuable to let slip by and I need her help to capture my own uncle. I need someone with Ty Lee's Chi Blocking caliber. Nothing less. No second best." Azula had said.
"With all due respect, Princess Azula. Ty Lee is my most precious daughter. I can't afford to lose her. Please!" Ty Lee's Father had begged.
"Ty Lee will be fine as long as I'm around. She will listen to me. And besides, she is the strongest Chi Blocker out of your seven daughters, am I wrong?" Azula had begun to argue.
"Well... yes. But that was before the-"
"I'll make sure she'll get her back in shape. And if you have a problem with that, you can always answer to the Fire Lord." Azula told Ty Lee's Father.
"Answer to the Fire Lord?" Ty Lee' Father asked, confusingly.
"Yes. It's come to my attention that you have been avoiding paying property taxes for the past three years." Azula smiled, in a sinister way.
Ty Lee's Father had gasped. "How did you..."
"I am my father's daughter. I know what goes on around within the palace. And you have been stopped paying for some reason. This end of this conversation could go either way." Azula raised her right index finger. "One, you can hand Ty Lee over to me..." Azula then raised her middle finger. "Or two. I can have you arrested for tax evasion and have this house foreclosed on? Your choice."
After a moment of thinking, Ty Lee's Father had sighed in defeat. "Fine. You may do as you will."
"Thank you. I will make sure your little tax evasion situation gets overlooked." Azula smiled, sinisterly, then opened the door and exited Ty Lee's Father's home office.
End Flashback
Azula had suddenly stopped, then turned her head around. "Oh! Something just came back to my memory."
"What's that?" Ty Lee asked.
"I've already asked your father and he said that he'd be delighted that you would join me." Azula smiled.
Ty Lee had gasped.
"I suggest you get ready to go, because we're leaving real soon to hunt down my uncle and Zuko." Azula told Ty Lee, then walked back toward Ty Lee's family mansion. Leaving Ty Lee alone in the courtyard.
Ty Lee gasped in shock after hearing Zuko's name. Suddenly, she remembered the day when screams of was badly hurt five years prior and her hands being burned and a bit bloody. She looked at her hands and visualized them being hurt and burned.
