Friendship is something that can last for a life time. It can actually last for much longer. Sting and Rogue are examples of that as they have been friends for years. Sting was rather excited to show something to Rogue.
"Well, I've been saving my pennies and I think I got something good." Sting said as he had Rogue's eyes covered until he revealed them. "Tell me you're jealous." He said as he showed Rogue a nice looking van he had that Sting managed to get his hands on.
"Tell me you're not serious." Rogue said.
"Come on. It's a good deal, it's in good shape, and I added a few things to my own." Sting said. "I already showed it to Yukino. She likes it. I mean, she did think about all the things we could do with it."
"What are you... No, wait. Don't tell me. I don't want to know." Rogue said as the thoughts were unsettling to him.
"Wait until you see the inside." Sting said as he opened up the back and showed it was rather cozy with a shag rug, small T.V., and even a couch. In fact, it looked a little too cozy for two straight guys. "Awesome, right?" He asked as he had a seat, but Rogue wouldn't say that as he climbed in through the front. "Hey! We should go on a road trip!"
"Seriously?" Rogue said.
"Yeah. You and me, two guys out on the road. I ask Yukino to come, but three is a crowd. I can just go with her another time." Sting said.
"You and me, not with this van." Rogue said. The two of them have become good friends and have been for years. They know how to get along, and how to get on each other's nerves.
"Excuse me." They both turned around and was met with someone who had tan skin and wore a beige robe where most of his body was covered. "I am hope I am not interrupting something."
"Thankfully, no." Rogue said.
"Can we help you with something?" Sting asked.
"You two wouldn't happen to be Sting Eucliffe and Rogue Cheney?" The man asked.
"We are. Who are you?" Rogue said.
"My name is Amon Gamal. I come all the way from Egypt. I believe that the three of us have much to talk about." He said, but the two of them weren't sure about that considering they never met him before. Wanting to hear Amon out, the three of them found a café for them for them to talk...and with some witnesses around if they need it.
"Okay, you got our attention, so what is it that you want with us?" Sting asked. "You come all the way from Egypt, but what are you doing here?"
"I am actually here for the two of you." Amon said as he handed them a business card. "Let me start by saying this. I actually work as an archeologist. As you can imagine, there is much to learn and discover. Egypt has great historical value. During one of my exhibitions, I discovered an ancient tomb of a mighty ruler that no one knew about buried underground." He said as he showed pictures that he had. "It was about two princes named Daw and Zala. Here is the thing though, they were not born in Egypt."
"What do you mean?" Rogue questioned.
"Daw and Zala were adopted by a king and queen that ruled over a kingdom in Egypt." Amon said. "The story goes that the two of them were drifting out at sea as just mere babies until the queen found them. Out of the kindness of her heart, she adopted both of them. She and her husband raised them both as they were their own. In time, they lived in Egypt and were accepted by the people."
"What does this have to do with us?" Rogue questioned.
"This is why." Amon said as he passed them of what Daw and Zala looked like and they couldn't believe it. "Sting, you are the spitting image of Daw and Rogue is of Zala." This was unreal, but the resemblance appeared to be uncanny. Is it possible that Sting and Rogue are the descendants of royalty?

The Airship
Sting and Rogue decided to look more into what they have learned. It sounds too good to be true, but they've dealt with weirder situations. They took everything they had to Jellal and see if there was any truth to them.
"His story checks out. This Amon Gamal is the real thing, as are these photos. No trace of any editing or such." Jellal said. "This is a little unbelievable. Are you two really descendants of royalty?"
"It might look that way, but the thing is that he claims Daw never had children." Sting said. "That's why he believes this might be a sign that there actually is... What did he call it again?"
"Reincarnation." Rogue said. "He thinks that the spirits of Daw and Zala were reincarnated and became me and Sting. That's why he wants us to go to Egypt with him and have a look around. Reincarnation is really just a theory, but this could change all of that. If it's true, this could be a great scientific discovery, a chance to explore the truly unknown."
"Rogue and I have been friends for years, but I never would expected that we were actually brothers belonging to the same family, let alone a royal one." Sting said.
"This does sound like something incredible. Maybe a little too incredible." Jellal said as he thought there was something strange about this. "What are you two thinking?"
"I say we go check it out." Sting said.
"I don't know, Sting. It sounds a little too good to be true." Rogue said.
"My thoughts exactly." Jellal said. "However, I won't stop you two from going. Your communicators should be able to work even if you are all the way out there. If you run into trouble, contact us and the rest of us will get there as soon as we can." Sting and Rogue were aware that there had to have been something off about this, but they still had to know the truth or else they might regret this.

The Next Day
Sting and Rogue decided to look into this. They met with Amon at the airport and were heading for Egypt. Once they arrived in Egypt, they actually rented out some camels that helped them get through the desert and were on their way to the tomb that Amon discovered.
"I don't know about this, but at least we're getting a camel ride through the sands of Egypt." Sting said. "At least we're getting that trip, Rogue."
"Amon, what more can you tell us about Daw and Zala?" Rogue asked.
"As mentioned before, they were adopted. In fact, neither of them were related to the other. No one knew or even found out where they came from." Amon said. "Both of them trained to be strong warriors and leaders, but they were different. Daw was more energetic, thrill-seeking, and had a good heart even if it didn't seem like it."
"That sounds like Sting." Rogue said.
"Zala was more disciplined. He took what he did serious. Despite how he seemed, he was a passionate man when it came to the people he cared for." Amon said.
"That sounds like Rogue." Sting said.
"You might be able to learn more. We're here." Amon said as they stopped at a trench in the sand. "The tomb is actually buried down there." Once they arrived, Amon secured the camels and the rope they could use to lower themselves. The three of them made their way down until they reached the bottom and could see a cave in there. Once they got there, Amon put a torch together and showed the way. The three of them made their way through the cave. In fact, Sting and Rogue were getting a little anxious on what they might find. "We're here."
"We are?" Sting said. That was when Amon lit an ancient lighting system with the torch and it lighted up the whole chamber. It actually looked amazing. The walls were covered in hieroglyphics with pictures, surrounded by treasures, and could even see images of Daw and Zala. At the other end of the chamber were sarcophaguses that probably held the bodies of the brothers. "Is that them back there?"
"Yes. They were buried together." Amon said. "Daw actually died before Zala. Even though Zala was angry with Daw, he wanted to be along side his brother in death."
"Angry? About what?" Sting questioned.
"Well, it's what I'm hoping you two could help me with. Does anything here bring back memories of your past lives?" Amon asked.
"Not with me." Sting said.
"No." Rogue said.
"Well, maybe that can help." Amon said as he pointed to something near the sarcophaguses. It looked like a scepter in the form of an ankh, but the top was made out of a diamond. "That is known as Thoth's Scepter. It is said that it could cause one to view the past. Maybe it can help restore your lost memories."
"Really?" Sting questioned as he was tempted to take it and believe this story. Could he and Rogue really be the reincarnations of these two brothers? He tried moving closer to it, but Rogue stopped him. "What is it?"
"Hold on a minute. There's one thing that doesn't make sense." Rogue said. "The whole story sounded sketchy in the first place, but I'm more obliged to believe this is all real. I don't see how one could fake something like this. The one thing I can't figure out is what happened in the present." He claimed as he looked at Amon with suspicion. "Amon... How did you find out about me and Sting in the first place? How did you know who we were?" That was a good question. It couldn't be because of what they do because they keep their identities a secret. To the rest of the world, their just regular people. How would Amon know about them? When he pointed that out, Sting was now suspicious himself. It wasn't looking good for Amon.
"I'm sorry. He told me all about you two." Amon said as he seemed scared.
"Who?" Sting questioned.
"I did." They both turned to the entrance and saw the one really responsible.
"Jiemma?!" Sting said as he and Rogue couldn't believe he was even here. "What are you doing here?"
"Setting up a way to crush the two of you." Jiemma claimed. "After our last encounter, I decided to do some traveling to try and make myself even more powerful. I travelled all around until I actually found this place. Imagine my surprise to see that the two buried here might be your incarnations."
"You actually believe in all that stuff?" Rogue questioned.
"I believe that this couldn't be by chance or coincidence." Jiemma said. "If you two really do have some relation or connection to this place, you might be useful to me after all. It's also a good chance to pay you back from before."
"Pay US back?! You were the one that kidnapped my girlfriend and forced us to work for you!" Sting said. "So, you had this guy lure us here because you think if there's anything that will give you power, you think we're the keys to getting it?"
"I'm truly sorry. He forced me to do it." Amon apologized.
"It's okay. We know what this man is like. For now, you might want to find a way out of here." Rogue said. Amon didn't have a problem with that as he tried to find a way out and left those three alone to settle things.
"Whatever it is you're after, you're not getting it!" Sting called as he unleashed a couple rays of light. Jiemma just tried to block them, but he could feel a difference from the last time they fought.
"It would seem you actually grew stronger." Jiemma said as he tried to shake off the burning feeling on his arms.
"He's not the only one!" Rogue said as he launched some shadows at him, but Jiemma blocked them as well.
"Not bad, but you still can't beat me even with your new powers." Jiemma said. That doesn't mean they can't try Rogue turned into a shadow and managed to get behind him, but Jiemma drove his elbow into his gut and tossed him aside. Sting kept fighting as he tried firing some rays at him, but Jiemma jumped up and avoided each attack. Jiemma landed down in front of Sting and hit him rather hard that sent him flying over to the other end of the tomb. Rogue tried attacking Jiemma again as he drove his fist right into Jiemma's face, but Jiemma fought back and hit him rather hard with him getting knocked to the ground.
"Don't you know you're not suppose to disturb someone's resting place!" Sting called as he tried to blast him again, but Jiemma made his way around each attack and tried to tackle him like a football player, but Sting managed to jump right over him. When Jiemma turned to him, Sting struck him right in the face. However, Jiemma just brushed that off and hit Sting back with him getting knocked to the ground.
"For someone that was once a mighty prince, you're not so mighty anymore." Jiemma said as he intended to stomp down on him.
"And you clearly have no respect!" Rogue called as he acted fast with a spear he found in the tomb. He threw it as hard as he could, but Jiemma avoided it. Sting and Rogue attacked together as they both blasted him with light and shadows to knock him back. "Sting, take out the pillars around here!"
"What?! That will bring the place down on our heads!" Sting said. "You really want to destroy this place?!"
"I know, but we don't have a choice. Whatever it is that Jiemma can use here, we can't let him have it." Rogue said. They might be destroying a historical and ancient place, but they have to stop Jiemma. "Hurry! I'll hold him off!" Jiemma was coming at them again, but Rogue unleashed shadows to try and keep him away. As Rogue was trying to hold him back, Sting started firing at the pillars to try and bring the place down. They might be aware of what they're doing, but they have to stop Jiemma. He kept blasting away, but Jiemma pushed through Rogue's shadows and knocked him away. Luckily, Sting had enough time and the place was starting to cave in.
"You two will be buried here as well." Jiemma said.
"I don't think so!" Sting said as he poured out as much power as he could and blasted Jiemma with him going all the way to the other end of the tomb. "Let's get out of here!" Both of them moved as fast as they could with the whole tomb coming apart. Both of them hurried and tried to get out. Luckily, they both did, but Jiemma might not have.
...
Magnolia
"Man, that was all crazy." Sting said. After what happened in Egypt, they two of them returned to Magnolia and went back to their daily lives with them just relaxing in Sting's new van. "I can't believe we actually destroyed a tomb."
"Luckily, Amon still had all of his research, and an exhibition team might be able to salvage whatever was in there." Rogue said. "You think Jiemma got out of there?"
"Don't know, but I hope he doesn't come back." Sting said. The two of them had quite the adventure that they couldn't stop thinking about. "You think any of that stuff is real? Do you think that was really you and me in another life?"
"I honestly can't say. They did look like us, but I have no memories or anything of the such." Rogue said.
"Well, I think it's pretty cool. We were brothers back then, and we're best buds right now." Sting said. "Isn't that right?"
"It really is, but I'm still not taking a road trip with you." Rogue said. "Not until you clear some of this stuff out of this van! People will get the wrong impression about you and me if they see us in here!"
"Ha! If you swung that way, you should consider yourself lucky." Sting said. It seems like no matter what life these two are in, they're great friends and are like brothers. Still, could there actually be some truth into that story? Could that have really been Sting and Rogue in another life?
