"YES, YES, YES"
"WE HAVE WON - VICTORY!"
"DOWN WITH BRITANNIA!"
"You were avenged my love..."
"Black Glint!"
"BLACK GLINT! BLACK GLINT! BLACK GLINT! BLACK GLINT!"
The voices of the people who were cheering me for all that I had done... for all their efforts and hard work that they had to go through to get to this moment...
They only passed through my ears... I never turned or looked at any of those soldiers, I could only see people around me... but each and every one of their faces or joys were indifferent to me.
...
...
...But...that didn't stop...a little spark inside me...a small feeling of... joy... a very small part... of that joy... began to awaken... after many years of pain... and of darkness.
...A feeling I haven't felt since... since... since I was very little...
...
...
...
...A feeling that I have to hide for what I have to do right now... a decision that will completely alter... the world.
My speech earlier did nothing more than ignite a spark... a spark which will soon turn into a large pyre that will grow into a fire... a fire, but a controlled one.
...
...
... I will provide the data to Genbu, Tohdoh and Kirihara about my NEXT...
The reason I am coming to this hasty decision is simple.
The Kojima particles... the same particles which caused the death of all life in my world... the same particles which give life to Black Glint... are running out right now... Right now I am at 25% of their capacity at the moment.
I always knew that sooner or later the Kojima particles that powered my machine would run out... for as long as I had been fighting the battles in Japan, I tried to use the least amount of energy in Black Glint... but in the end that didn't do much good.
...
... And now, I'm seriously thinking of giving the data to Genbu and his lackeys... but by doing this... it's as if I'm giving them the keys to wipe out all life on the planet...
I am giving you the power to turn this still living world... into a dead one in a matter of moments...
...
... I give to your power... the key to turn this world into an inhospitable hell, as my world was...
...
...
... But before that happens... I have to talk to someone first.
I entered the CCP, where all the other officers who would have been inside this place came out to celebrate the victory I gave them, with their compatriots outside...
...
... All except Ayre, who right now was standing in the middle of the CCP, looking at me with a face that describes several emotions, from joy, relief, euphoria... and also a bit of fear.
Ayre is smart... she must know as much as I do, that this is nothing more than just the beginning of a long war... a long war that will take years of our lives.
A conflict unlike any other the world has ever seen.
From the expression on his face and the various thoughts and feelings swirling around in his mind... I can tell he was waiting for me to talk about this...
...And much more
...
...
... But I didn't come to talk to Ayre about that... I came to talk to her about something else... and that something else... is my sudden episode, where I literally got lost in the massacre.
...I can feel how she is afraid of me right now...my presence alone may seem like an icon of light to everyone...but to her, there is a much more sinister secret hiding in this thing I call skin...
She's not stupid...she knows this and she most likely wants to talk about this too...what I'm really about.
...
...I guess I'll have to tell you what's going on with me...
To tell him I'm really... who Black Glint really is...
...
... here goes nothing then.
"... Ayre... How are you?" I ask suddenly, my apathetic voice reaching the ears of that person who has followed me since I started this journey of blood and war.
"... I... I'm fine... I was just... thinking" Ayre replies to me, fearful that any of her words, might trigger something that would return me to the same state as before.
"... I see... Ayre I... *sigh*... you wanted us to talk didn't you?"
"yes...actually if Black Glint, want to talk about-"
"Lynx" the court suddenly
"Ahm? Excuse me?" says a confused Ayre.
"...you can call me Lynx... Black Glint, it's just the name of the machine I pilot" I say slowly.
"... Well... Lynx...I wanted to talk to you, about the... storm... you unleashed earlier in the city... you know, it was lucky you didn't accidentally kill one of our elements... if something like that had happened, we'd be having another talk right now" Ayre says, her calculating side as my operator and officer exposes to me the kind of things that would have happened... if it hadn't been for her who got me out of my blood lust.
And you are right... I could have caused the death of a member of Japan's forces... I could have created an incident that Tohdoh and Genbu would have surely taken advantage of. Most likely they would have asked for the data to avoid doing anything against me.
But there's no need for that... I'm already determined to give them my NEXT data.
"I know... I know very well what would have happened if something hadn't gone as expected... for that reason I came to give you... this" from my pocket I pull out a flash drive... which contains a copy of all the data that is stored inside Black Glint.
"... What is that?" asks Ayre... although by the look on her face, she has a pretty good idea of what I have in hand right now.
"This here Ayre... this is what your superiors sent me to be my communications operator and analyst for... this is what your superiors want so badly... this here, Ayre... this is the data from the Black Glint... this is the data your people need to survive... in this future war" I said. the data your people need to survive... in this future war" I said with total seriousness in the matter.
...
...
...
... Ayre could only look at the flash drive he was holding in complete shock... unable to believe that I'm now giving him one of his main targets, just like that...
I could feel various thoughts ranging from disbelief, joy, satisfaction... and finally bewilderment... And who can't be.
I prevented her from accessing my NEXT... I prevented her from getting the slightest bit of information out of him, prevented her from even putting a finger on the machine, so the idea of giving him the data without a fight seems strange to her.
It almost seemed like I was playing a bad joke on her... but I'm not.
I have been preserving this data with all my life... I have been preserving the weapons and tools that can bring this world to ruin... but that is something she does not know.
I know she thinks there may be plans on how to make a machine similar to mine... but to do that, they require advanced technology... technology which they currently lack...
And even if you try to give them the data of a NORMAL... they would be quite incapable of recreating such a machine to perfection, the technology used in them is so advanced, it would make us look like aliens to the eyes of this world.
So by giving the data to Ayre... it's a possible safe bet, a very risky bet which may lead to the end of this world... but in the end it's necessary... it's something I need to do if I really want to stay in combat.
I have to... I have to give him the data.
"Ayre... what you see at this moment... what I hold in my hand at this moment... may be the thing that saves your nation from the titan that is Britannia, may be the key to your home... and the people within it surviving to see a tomorrow... but with power like that... with the power I am about to give you... it could lead not only Japan to the destruction of your country... it could condemn this world to an endless era of death and destruction, which would lead to the end of all life in this world" I said... the apathetic tone that was once characteristic of my voice, now became deadly serious... warning him of the possibilities that could lead to using such technology which is stored inside the flash memory.
Ayre... could only look at me with total attention, listening deeply to my every word, listening with total seriousness to the consequences of producing such technology... the results it would take to create machines like mine on the battlefields.
The massacres that would occur because of this technology... the blood that would be shed and the destruction that would be unleashed throughout this world... would be too great... too great for future generations to recover from the damage that would be caused by these weapons.
Irreparable damage which would remain in the earth forever.
... I will make everything clear to her.
"... Lynx... why... why are you telling me all this?" asks Ayre... who could now feel through my psychic abilities... felt... fear... fear... fear for the implications of what this could mean... could feel fear... fear for the kind of data and information that may be inside this flash drive I hold in my hand.
"Because inside this flash drive... there are also recordings of where I come from... of the place from where this machine was born... of the place where I - the infamous Black Glint pilot - was born... was born and the kind of world that can be born."
"And most importantly... because this world, is much better, without this kind of knowledge in the hands of any man."
...
...
...
God...
...
... this that I'm seeing... all of this that I'm seeing right now...
They can't be true, can they?
There can be no possibility that what I am seeing right now is real!
True!
TRUTH!
...
God... this... this... this... THIS CAN'T BE TRUE!
"now you see why I didn't give them Black Glint's data" Black's voice... no, Lynx, snapped me out of my mental mess, my eyes fell on his shadowy figure and... terrifying.
The... this... this... this... Lynx... this being, which is superior to us mortals, this monster in sheep's clothing... this Demon of a man who is in front of me... is now staring at me.
Waiting for me to make a decision right now, waiting for me to decide whether to give this to my superiors or not...
My mission is... or rather it was, to extract the data from that machine... from that Speed Demon, from that damned NEXT, that was my main mission, and now I have that data.
...
... I
I don't know what to do with them now.
I have no idea what to do with them, I don't know if I should throw them into the deepest pit, or hand them over to my superiors...No, I don't know if I should even kill myself for knowing all this.
Why see the world Lynx came from... the kind of world he came from... the things he caused in that world, the massacres, the destruction of those ARM FORTS and the damn particles that killed the world he resided in... everything.
... the idea of erasing all this would be the most logical option of all... that would be the best idea for everyone, so that Britannia would not get its hands on this data that could lead humanity to an extinction from which we would not survive.
...
...
... Heh, it's funny really.
I used to fight to be able to extract the data from Lynx's machine... now, I wish it had not been this way... it would have been better to live in ignorance, than to know all this curse.
...
...
... And in all this development Lynx hasn't said a single word... but by the look in his eyes... he's just waiting for my answer, waiting for me to say something. For me to tell him what's next...
... But I guess he already thought about it...
I guess he already has the answer to that, right...?
... If so... then go ahead.
...Which is the right thing to do.

Yes, I know I've lost some time, but I went on vacation for a few days, so I couldn't update my stories, plus I was a little bit discouraged to keep writing.
But now I'm recovering at the moment, I'm back to writing and will continue where I left off with my other stories.
For the moment this is just a presentation of my return.
I may post another chapter of my other stories not too long from now.
