I write this not because I want it to be read by anyone but because I need to talk about it so that there's something that remembers everything that happened when we first arrived in this realm, as well as what happened after it.
I can't stop shaking, I can feel it clawing inside of me, trying to steal my memories, I have already lost so much, but I have to do this.
Aincrad is a realm that is ruled over by the Goddes of Rules Radius, beneat here are the Floor Guardians, minor gods who serve the great goddess, they have servants of their own that do the everyday duties that their gods demand.
Next to the Floor Guardians are the Guild Leaders, the strongest of the Players, the defenders of the Humans and mortal races.
It's known to all of us, that every Guild Leader is equal to a demigod with the exceptions being those that are said to surpass the floor guardians.
One Hundred minor realms come together to create the great realm and a person can see into any of these realms simply by willing it, but while they can look at the realms, they can't see any of the wildlife or people that live in them.
I can no longer remember what came first or even if my memories are real.
I was there when the Players first marched to war, I was amongst the refugees who ran to this realm after Sigamar had abandoned us and the rest of the Pantheon had been defeated.
Ten thousand, men and women, who didn't look that much older than myself marched to meet an endless hoard of mad men and demons.
I watched how the players tried to hold back the flow of chaos as the realm gate closed, and I can still see the looks of horror when the gate was blocked by the countless spells of the dark god's servants.
Where to start, wait I already started writing.
The refuees ran deeper into Aincrad and we all saw a place that was perfect for us, a place where we could belong, a place that felt safe, where we could start over.
The great mountains, meadows, forests, skies, and oceans of the one hundred realms became our homes, but no matter how far we went we could always hear the war that was being fought for the realm.
I don't remember, perhaps I don't want to remember or it may have already stolen that memory from me.
The city of Beaters was created by those who did not belong anywhere, maybe they were born different from those around them, or perhaps they lacked something that all beings have.
Maybe they just couldn't communicate properly or were seen by those around them as strange because they preferred to be alone.
Of course, they could have gone there simply because they liked to perform horrifying spells that border on the edge of darkness.
Perhaps they gave themselves up to pleasure but never exceeded anything, so they were always on the edge of falling to the whispers of the dark gods and their servants.
The city of Beaters was created by these people, and it's a place where everyone belongs.
Beaters, a name that was given to the Players who gained forbidden knowledge and power.
Players who were exiled and shunned by the rest of their kin, its also a word that the people of this city are proud of and hate at the same time.
The city has everything that one would expect a city to have, from bakeries, theatres, brothels, and bars where the factory workers go to relax after a long day of work.
Beyond the city are the untamed fields where those who prefer to live close to nature call home.
Within the realm is the House of Blood a place that serves Lady Asuna, the wife of Kirito the leader of the Beaters, and it's the only place where a Beater can go and not be looked at with suspicion.
It has everything that one would expect to find within a place that serves a Knight of the Blood, but I will talk about it when its time comes.
It's said that the floor where the Beaters live is full of twisted creatures that don't exist in any other realm and while this is true to some extent the stories have been exaggerated.
While its true that no act of pleasure is denied within this realm, a person still needs to find a willing participant.
So no there isn't an entire city full of Half-elf and half-human children and before you ask there aren't any villages either, I know because I went to that realm and never found them.
Perhaps they do exist, but if they do, then the people of that realm keep them well hidden.
It is said that when Lady Asuna believed that her end had come, she sent her last words to her husband who was still exiled for a crime that he had committed long ago.
It was when the last gate of the House of the Blood Oath was about to fall, that the sound of war horns could be heard amongst the chaos.
What followed were the roars of beast men, the cries of war horses, and the screams of knights who fought the armies of chaos.
Those who cowered behind the Knights of the Blood Oath swore that they could see the vengeful spirits of the dead rise beyond the gate before the screams of agony followed.
The hollow screams of undead and mutated creatures could be heard for days, as flashes of light cast living shadows through the cracks in the walls and gate.
It's said that the survivors learned to live with the hellish battle that was happening outside of the gate.
Women wept because they were forced to give birth in a place that didn't remember what peace was, as the sounds of war exited when a person went to sleep and continued to exist when they opened their eyes the next day.
It is said that the survivors of the siege thought that the world had ended because they could no longer hear the war outside.
They stared at the gate for hours before anyone was brave enough to even try to open it, but when they did they found the Exiled ones the Beaters covered in gore and sweat.
All around them were mountains of corpses made of the deformed bodies of the servants of the dark gods.
The survivors say that as they walked out of the House of the Blood Oath, they watched as beastmen and Players alike feasted on the bodies of the dead.
They would have screamed at their saviors and begged them to turn away from the dark gods, but they stopped themselves from saying anything when they saw something that filled them with dread.
Lady Asuna, the Maiden of Stalight, was kissing her husband Kirito the Black swordsman.
Lady Asuna's white armor remained just as pure as it had been when she first went to war, her husband however wore a black armor that showed to everyone how tainted he was.
Yet what filled everyone with fear, was seeing Lady Asuna's face covered with blood as Kirito's gut-covered lips made contact with hers.
This is the reason why the servants of Asuna live in the lands of the Beaters because it is there where her husband lives and rules.
Wait, did this happen before or after the battle?
The land of the beaters is full of beastmen and chimeras a person just has to go a few steps away from the largest towns and they will see creatures that are made of different beings.
This is not to say that naturally occurring beings don't exist in these lands, for the presence of our oldest allies the dogs live here, along with their oldest rivals the common house cat.
It's just that these sorts of creatures are rare here, and the chimeras are abundant in these lands.
One would believe that the grand city would be a place where everyone looks over their shoulder and where people whisper in the shadows plotting to take over a rival criminal empire.
And while that is true, the same can be said about any city.
Beater what does that word even mean? In the past, it meant someone who was exiled for gaining power or knowledge through some forbidden means.
Then it meant a place for those that could never fit in.
I wonder what it means now, that there are outcasts even among us outcasts.
It's said that long after the war for the main gate ended and the Beaters returned to their realm, they found themselves walking into a foreign land, their home had completely changed over the years.
All of the beasts- dwarfs- elves- humans - orks and goblins along with several others had completely transformed the realm.
The Beater's tiny settlement was now a vast city, whose inhabitants knelt before those who were the realm's true masters.
It's said that the sound of the horses walking could be heard for miles, as not a single creature wanted to make a bad impression on those they had come to look up to, despite never having met them, beyond a simple glance.
Yet everyone even those who arrived long after the war ended, and were born during and long after the event remember the anger-filled words of their new masters.
The Beaters demanded that no one ever knelt before them again, this land was a place where the rules of the rest of the castle didn't matter for it was the rest of the castle that had exiled them.
Those words were mystically carved into the souls of every man, woman, and child, within the realm, and it is because of them that the city is the way that it is.
You see when the Players, I'm afraid that I no longer know how to call them.
Do I call them Players, because that is what they are? Do I call them Beaters because they are the realm itself?' or do I call them the Rulers because that is who they are?
It was because of those words that the realm became full of all sorts of wild and untammed people, for one can find bandits, and sell swords whenever they need them.
Yet at the same time, they can find some of the most order-filled places in the great realm within the city.
The city, why do my thoughts keep making me forget about it?
The city is home to the wealthiest people of the realm as well as those who live in poverty, but truth be told poverty doesn't exist in this realm.
While it may seem difficult to imagine some people choose to live in filth, they would rather beg every day than do anything else.
Allow me to help you imagine just how closely intertwined the highest positions of this realm are with the lowest parts of it.
The prostitute that you walk past every day, who welcomes different men to her bed every day, could be the wife of a wealthy count, who enjoys the thrill of having a different partner every night.
The barmaid could be a deadly assassin, who just wants to spend some time living a normal life, just so she can relax for a few hours.
The leader of a group of bandits that now make their homes in the wild was once the king of a land that was taken by the dark gods.
The bandits with him are nothing more than his knights who remain loyal to him.
Why did I stray away from the city again? Could something have stolen those memories from me? or is something making sure that I don't speak of it?
It is said that this realm is a place where love is denied to no one, and while that is true you still have to find someone willing.
I have seen an elf be it a woman or a man go to bed with a human woman or man, and no one around me even found it strange that the two races would enjoy each other's company in such a way.
It is said that pleasure cults hold power over the palaces of the mortal rulers of this realm, each one has a sword and a dagger aimed at their necks and hearts.
And that even Vampires have been seen drinking the blood of those who dared to look behind the curtain of glamor that they use to hide themselves behind.
Dwarfs have been seen chanting elven spells, while elves have become smiths that study the runic magic of the dwarfs.
This land has become full of strange sights.
The people here talk about a palace that floats in the sky and a race of deep seas elves live in the oceans of this realm.
The realm doesn't have a proper army, for how could an army of outcasts ever be created?
What it does have are various groups that have formed to defend their, villages- towns caravan and even the grand city.
Some have molded themselves to imitate the players who rule over the realm, while others imitate the ways of the people whom they could never be a part of.
Still, some chose to work together and create a fighting force that is made up of various races.
Speaking of the realm defenses. there is a being whose eyes glimmer within the entrance of this realm, the beastmen worship this being and are often seen sacrificing others to it.
Anyone who wishes to enter this realm with the intention of hurting it and those living within it must face it in battle, but the god, or demi-god isn't alone for it has servants that are and aren't beast men
Yet the demigod or perhaps he is the god of this minor realm, will not fight alone as the Beaters will fight alongside it.
Kirito the strongest of the beaters, is said to be equal to this minor god in power, but some claim that Kirito has long surpassed it in speed and power.
I can feel my mind drifting again, I can't see the ream anymore.
I know that my memories of it are still there but they are mixed with the memories of the other realms in Aincrad.
