Pokémon - Shiny Aura
Chapter 01: The New Beginnings
The Next Day…
" Yawn*" Professor Will Aspen is yawning will going to the kitchen as he wants to make some grilled cheese for breakfast. "Moomoo Grilled Cheese for breakfast is great…"
As he walked into the kitchen, he saw someone there. The person turned to him. That person has an eyes that will pierce someone's soul.
"Oh, good morning prof-"
"AHH?!!! A ghost!" The prof yelled.
"Yo, prof. I'm not a ghost. It's me, Endre." He said while sipping a coffee.
"Endre…? What's wrong with your eyes?" The prof asked as there were bags under his eyes.
"Oh… I was studying about the gym leaders, the Elite Trio and the champion of Wifoit last night. However, aside from the info about the champ, all other infos is irrelevant as the gym leaders and Elite Trio have changed people this year. So, I asked Rotom Phone to do some deep research about it. And that's when I realised that it was already morning."
"So you haven't slept, huh?" The prof concluded.
"Yep." Endre took his last sip of coffee and stood up. "I'm going to sleep."
"Wait, after drinking a coffee?"
"They have opposite effects on me. Wake me up if you have something important to tell me. Well, smell ya later, I guess." Endre then walks off.
"Huh… And here I am, wanting him to meet with the rest of the Pokédex Holder… Oh well, I guess he can meet up with the rest of them later." The prof muttered. "But most importantly, my Moomoo Grill Cheese, here I comes!"
Laboratory Cabin…
"Hmm…" Endre tries to sleep, but fails to do so. "It's weird… Usually, I would be sleepy when I drink coffee. Maybe there's something wrong with the coffee I drank."
He then stood up.
"Well… Since I'm like this… Might as well go find new companions!" Endre instantly switched his sleeping wear into his usual clothes. "Alright… I already bought Poké Balls back in Hoenn. So this would be a piece of cake."
He then throws both of his Poké Balls out.
"Ralts!"
"Froakie!"
As they appeared, both of them sparks with stars.
"Alright guys, let's do this! Lulu, use Teleport!"
"Ralts!"
Instantly, the three of them teleported out from the cabin.
Colewood Open Field
"Let's get some new team members!" Endre said excitedly. "Of course, the first member we want to add in our team is a Flying type Pokémon. And there's a plethora to choose from!"
In the open field, there's a lot of Flying type Pokémons. Ranging from Pidgey, Spearow, Doduo, Hoothoot, Taillow and much more.
"Since I'm pretty accustomed to Taillow, of course it would be my first pick. The ability Guts and Facade are the best strat to use with Swellow after all.
"Alright, Lulu, Geki, let's do this!"
"Ralts!"
"Froakie!"
Back at Pokémon Research Laboratory…
"Hmm…" Prof Aspen is typing on his computer.
Ring* Ring*
A bell ringing can be heard.
"Oh, it must be them." Prof stood up and walked towards the door.
Creak*
As he opened the door, the prof saw four teenagers. One boy and three girls.
The boy has a slight tan skin, ginger hair and green eyes. He's wearing a black and green striped shirt, brown cargo shorts, an orange backpack, black crocs and a weird white watch that Endre swears that he had seen before.
As for the other three girls, the first girl has short black hair with pink eyes, wearing black long sleeve shirt, red short sleeve jacket, jeans, sports shoes and a satchel bag.
The second girl has long brown hair with blue eyes, wearing white shirt, blue coat, black shorts, white socks, blue shoes, a brown sling bag and a wristband on her right arm.
And for the last girl, she has blonde hair with peach eyes, wearing a blue dress, black socks, blue timberland shoes and a white backpack purse.
"Hello, Prof Aspen." They greeted him.
"Ah, you must be the candidates for the Pokédex Holders." He said, but then he realised something was off. "One, two, three, four… I thought they were five of the candidates. Did you know where the last person is?"
"I don't know." The ginger haired boy said. "How bout you?"
"Me too." The brown haired girl replied. "When I arrived here, there's only three of you guys."
"And I surely didn't know anything about it." The blonde haired girl said.
"Maybe they're late or something." The black haired girl concluded.
Clomp* Clomp* Clomp*
Later, they heard some footsteps from behind. All of them turned around, and saw a boy with Ash Gray hair with black eyes, wearing a black shirt, brown jacket, jeans, brown running shoes and a black backpack.
"Is this the Pokémon Research Laboratory?" The grey haired boy asked.
"Oh, yes, it is." The prof replied.
"Okay then." The boy then walked past the group and stood in front of the prof.
"Does that kid know about manners? We are the one to arrive first and yet he's able to be in the front." The blonde haired girl muttered to the brown haired girl.
"Maybe he's really excited about this. You can never know for sure." She replied.
"Hey, what are you guys whispering about?" The ginger haired boy joined.
"Can you guys not cook up any gossip here?" The black haired girl said to them.
"Alright then, come inside." The prof invited them to enter the lab.
Back to Endre…
"Poké Ball, go!" He threw a ball at the Taillow, but it deflected it with its wings.
"Go, Poké Ball." He threw another one at a Starly, but it evaded it.
"Poké Ball, go! Go, Poké Ball! Just enter the damn ball!" Endre threw his Poké Balls in a barrage, but none of them even hits the Pokémon.
" Heavy Breath* Why doesn't it work?!" In truth, Endre sucks at catching Pokémon. The only way that he could get a Pokémon is to make sure that they willingly get inside the Poké Ball.
"Rookidee!"
"Huh?" Endre noticed a Pokémon chirping from afar. "Yo, Rotom Phone, can help me out here."
"Sure will!" The phone then scanned the Pokémon.
[Rookidee, the Tiny Bird Pokemon. A Flying type. It will bravely challenge any opponent, no matter how powerful. This Pokémon benefits from every battle. Even a defeat increases its strength a bit. The females are fussier than the males. If another creature dirties a female Rookidee's wings, it'll peck the offender relentlessly in a burning rage.]
"Alright, let's try catching that one. Lulu, you have done your part. It's time for Geki to shine." Endre called his Pokémon.
"Froakie!" It cried, entering battle position.
"Geki, use Cut!"
"Froakie!" It's hands started glowing as its charged towards the Rookidee.
"Rookie?!" Noticing the Froakie, it flew up, dodging the attack.
"Darn it! It managed to evade it!"
"Rookidee!" It peck then started forming a drill.
"Oh no, that's Drill Peck! Geki, evade it-"
Thud*
Geki didn't able to evade in time, as the Rookidee pecks it.
"Froa… Kie…" It is in low health.
"Okay, Lulu, it's your turn now!" Endre called it in.
"Ralts!" It stepped forward.
"Alright, use Charge Beam!"
"Ralts!" It shoots a yellow beam at the Rookidee.
Before the beam hits it, the Rookidee eats something.
"Wait, that is-"
Bzz*
The beam hits, but the Rookidee is still flying.
"It eats a Wacan Berry to reduce the Electric type attack…"
"Rookie…!" Its peck started glowing.
"Rotom Phone, what's that move?!" Endre quickly asked the phone.
"From the way it looks, it seems like Reversal." It replied.
" Reversal?! At an early stage Pokémon?!"
"DEE!" It flies towards Lulu.
Thud*
"Ralts!" It gets thrown back.
"Lulu!" Endre then turned to the Rookidee. "Damn it… How can I catch it if it's agitated like this… Wait…"
He then remembered about the entry on Rookidee.
The females are fussier than the males. If another creature dirties a female Rookidee's wings, it'll peck the offender relentlessly in a burning rage.
"Bingo…!" Endre then spray a Potion on Geki. "Geki, use Double Team. And then, throw your flexible bubbles on the Rookidee's wings."
"Froakie!" Without questioning his trainer, Geki got to work.
Multiple clones of Geki appear on the field. The clones distract the Rookidee, while the real Geki stack its bubbles like a pebble and throws it at the wings of Rookidee.
…
…
…
"Rookie…" The face of the Pokémon started turning red. "ROOKIDEE!!!"
It pecks all of the Geki's clones, making them disappear one by one.
"It works! But it works too well!" Endre ran straight to Lulu's side to heal her.
"ROOKIE! ROOKIE! ROOKIDEE!!!" It finishes pecking all of the clones. Then, it slowly turns its head towards the real Geki. "Rookie…?"
"Froakie?!" Geki gets scared, really, really bad.
"ROOKIDEE!!!" It flies straight to it while using Drill Peck.
Geki doesn't know where to run, as the Rookidee will definitely follow it.
"Ralts!" Lulu then teleported in front of it.
"Lulu, use Hypnosis!" Endre ordered it.
"Ralts…!" The pink shockwave hits the Flying type Pokémon.
"Roo… Ki… Dee…"
Slowly, it fell down to the ground.
Thud*
"Zzz…"
"Froakie…" Geki sighed in relief, knowing that he wouldn't be pecked to death.
"Oh man, that was close. Anyways…" Endre then threw his Poké Ball at the sleeping Rookidee.
Bzz* Twitch* Twitch* Twitch* Pop*
"Alright! Rookidee, get!" Endre raised the Poké Ball high to the sky. "Okay, let's get it healed up and greet it."
Pop* Bzz*
As Endre expected, the sparks of stars surrounded the Pokémon.
"Is it me, or is this a recurring thing? Anyways…" Endre sprayed the Potion and Full Heal onto the Rookidee.
"Roo… Kie?" The Pokémon wakes up.
"Alright, birdy. I know this is confusing, but now, I'm your trainer now. I hope we can get along." Endre said to it.
Rookidee looks at him for a few seconds, and then turned to the left, where he saw Geki being relaxed.
"Rookie!" Immediately, it flies straight to Geki and furiously pecks it.
Peck* Peck* Peck*
"Froakie! Froakie! FROAKIE!!!" It cries for help.
"Hold on, buddy!" Endre then grabbed Geki and held it in his hands.
"Okay, Rookidee. Stay calm and-Oww! Oww!"
But then it pecks Endre.
"Crap! Lulu, help us here!" Endre asked the Pokémon help.
"..." But what it did was walk towards Endre's bag, grab a berry inside, sit down, eat the berry and enjoy the show with a wicked smile.
"You traitor-Oww! OWW!!!"
"ROOKIDEE!!!"
"FROAKIE!!!"
In the end, everything is chaos.
Back at the lab…
"Alright, these Rotom Phones will guide you all through your journey. And since all of you already had the official rules of Pokémon Battle, I suppose we can just skip to the best part of today."
Prof Aspen moved to the side, revealing a table with 26 Poké Balls on it.
This is all of the starter Pokémons that I personally catch across the globe. You can choose your Pokémon now."
"Sweet! Let's do that then-" The ginger haired boy walked forward, but the ash haired boy went past him and grabbed a Poké Ball.
"I'll take this one then." He said without showing any sign of emotion whatsoever.
"Hey, can you at least wait in line?" The blonde haired girl said.
"What? Do you want this Treecko?" The gray haired boy asked the girl.
"Umm… No."
"Well, it appears there's no problem with me taking it then."
"That's true, but can you at least respect us who arrived early here?"
"Respect must be earned, not given." The boy casually said. "Besides, someone like you isn't suited to be a trainer."
"Hah?! What did you say?!" The blonde haired girl wanted to give him a piece of her, but the brown haired girl stopped her.
"Jules, calm down! Getting mad here won't do anything good for you."
"But, Minnie! This bastard has gone too far! He will get it! If you just let me go…! Emery, won't you support me here?"
"I agree with Minnie here. But, I think you went too far with that statement, Solips." The black haired girl said to the ash grey haired boy.
"Yeah, she's right! Everyone deserves to be a trainer, you know?" The ginger haired boy said.
"Sure, but I prefer quality over quantity. And it seems like all you had is all talk, Village Boy." Solips said to him.
"I ain't a Village Boy! My name is Markus Eagon!" He then walked towards the desk and picked a Poké Ball. "And I challenge you to a battle! Between the Pokémon that we choose!"
"Oh, you picked Litten, huh? Having a type advantage doesn't guarantee your victory, you know." Solips commented. "Oh well, let me prove to you that you only bark without a bite."
He then walked out of the room.
"Hey, wait for me!" Markus then chases him.
"Uh… What just happened?" Minnie asked.
"It seems like they had formed… A rivalry, I think?" Emery concluded.
"I don't think rivalry is a suitable word, Emery. Maybe they hate each other's guts. That Solips guy is a jackass." Jules muttered.
"You know, Jules. My first impression of you is ruined right now." Minnie commented.
"Eh, who cares. In any case, let's grabbed our Pokémon and see who's *ss got beaten." She then picked the Squirtle Poké Ball and rushed.
" Sigh* And here I am, thinking that I would get another respectable friend. Oh well…" Minnie picked the Scorbunny Poké Ball and went out.
"Seems like it's just me then…" Emery muttered. "Hey, Prof Aspen."
"Oh, yes?"
"Why didn't you stop the boys back then?"
"Ah, from what I learned, it's better to not interrupt teenagers when they're in beef with each other." The prof answered.
"Okay…" That's not an answer that she expected. "And also, why is there no Froakie Poké Ball here from the start?"
"Ah, what keen eyes you have." He praised her. "About that, I already gave it to another Pokédex Holder yesterday."
"Wait, there's 6 people who become the Pokédex Holders?"
"Well, actually, originally there's 5. However, this trainer here is rather unique. Despite having less experience in Pokémon Battles than the other holders, I believe that he catch up." The prof explained. "I believe that he's still sleeping upstairs due to him studying about Wifoit League all night. I can introduce him to you guys after he wakes up."
"Okay."
"Well then, what kind of Pokémon do you want to choose?" The prof asked.
"I…" Emery inspected the Poké Balls, but she had come with her decision. She takes the Poké Ball. "Choose this one."
"Oh, a Sprigatito. It's a bit fussy when I first catch it. I hope you are fine about it."
"It's okay. And I think we should see this 'rivalry' match that the boys do." She said.
"Ah, okay then. I really wanted to see how the Pokémons fight.
Both of them then left the room.
Next to the laboratory…
"Hey," Emery called Minnie, who's staying on the sides. "Is there anything that we missed?"
"Not yet. They haven't even started."
"I really wanted that bastard to lose…" While Jules is cursing under her breath.
"Oh, they're the prof and Emery. We can start now." Markus said to Solips.
"Hmph, I bet you really wanted to lose in front of everyone, huh? Very well." Solips then threw his Poké Ball to the front. "Treecko."
Pop* Bzz*
"Treecko!"
"Heh, don't trash talk just yet! Go, Litten!" Emery threw the Poké Ball forward.
Pop* Bzz*
"Litten!"
[Markus Eagon]
Litten
Vs
Treecko
[Solips Teivel]
"Alright! Litten, use Fire Fang!" Markus shouted.
"Litten!" Its fangs started to indulge in flames as it sprint towards the Treecko.
"Treecko, Quick Attack." Solips calmly said.
"Treec… Ko!" It dashed quickly to the front and hit Litten, cancelling its attack.
"Darn it!" Markus grunted. "Stand back up, and use Fire Fang once more!"
"Lit… Ten!" It then does the attack again.
"Just because my Pokémon is weak to Fire type moves, that doesn't mean that you should do the same move again." Solips said to him. "Treecko, Breaking Swipe."
"Treec…" Since both of them are equally fast, both of the attack at the same time. "Ko!"
But Treecko is just a tad bit faster than Litten. It swiped its arm onto Litten's head.
"Oh no!"
"Treecko, finish this with Quick Attack." Solips said, unimpressed by Markus' skills.
"Treecko!" It punched the Pokémon face, sending it back to its trainer.
"Litten!" Markus went to check on his Pokémon.
"Lit… Ten…" It clearly fainted from the attack.
Winner:
[Solips Teivel]
"Heh, I thought that blonde girl doesn't deserve to be a Pokémon Trainer. But you seemed more undeserving to be calling yourself a Pokémon Trainer now, are you?" Solips said to him.
Markus can't do anything except grunting right now that he loses. He silently stored his Litten back inside his Poké Ball and walked to the side.
"Oh, this guy is toasted! This piece of sh*t doesn't even shut up when he wins! I'm going to beat his *ss right now!" Jules said, readying her fist.
"Hey, come on! Don't be kike this!" Minnie said while holding her back. "Emery, please help me here!"
" Sigh* What a bunch of troublemakers…" She muttered.
Shine*
Suddenly, the middle of the field started shining.
"What in the…?"
Then, a black haired boy with red eyes holding Ralts and Froakie in his hands with a Rookidee sitting on its head appears out of nowhere.
"Man, Rookie… Can you really calm down with your pecking?" The boy said to the Pokémon on his head.
"Rookie." It chirped, not giving any thoughts to it.
"You don't sound sorry about that…"
"Ralts." The Pokémon poke its trainer.
"What is it, Lulu-" The boy turned around, and saw a group of people just watching him as if he's some alien. "Hey… Who's birthday is this?"
"Endre? What are you doing here?" The prof asked.
"Oh, prof!" He went closer to the professor. "I can't sleep, so I decided to get new Pokémon. You know, I battle a lot of Flying type Pokémon back in the field, but all my Poké Ball throws missed. But in the end, with some minor casualties, I managed to get this Rookidee that I nicknamed Rookie."
"Rookidee." It chirped, as if to introduce itself to the professor.
"Oh wow… And it even has different colors than a normal Rookidee. You are sure a magnet for these kinds of Pokémon to attract." The prof commented.
"Um, professor…" Emery spoke up. "Is this the first boy that you give the Pokédex to?"
"Ah, yes. Indeed. His name is Endre Adler. He's the son of my acquaintance. He comes all the way from Hoenn to here. He also helped me a lot yesterday. In exchange for that, I choose him as the holder of the Pokédex." The prof explained.
" Sigh* A foreigner gets to have a Pokémon and the Pokédex. Is Professor Will right on this one…" Solips muttered.
"Oh ho, what did you say?" Endre definitely heard that. "What's wrong with being a foreigner, huh, Edgelord?"
"Edge-" Solips never flabbergasted like that in his entire life.
"Hahaha! Look at his face! It's so funny!" Jules is laughing at Solips face reaction.
"Ehem!" Solips composed himself. "Yes. The problem lies with you, a foreigner, who wasn't one who has been selected for the Pokédex Holders Program."
"Really? Is that important? Just because I ain't one, the prof had already given me the Pokédex already. And also, Geki and I had become buddies."
"Froakie!" It cried in agreement.
"Geki…? You named your Pokémon?" Solips asked.
"Um… Yeah?"
"I see… There's even more people here who don't deserve to be called a trainer." He chuckled.
"Hey… What are you talking about?" Endre is now super confused right now.
"You see, Pokémon are not pets. Their true nature is to battle each other. This is a world where Pokémon eat each other, after all. Giving them nicknames, participating in contests, that isn't what Pokémon truly are."
"Ah, I see… You're telling me that your parents don't give you much attention, huh?" Endre concluded.
"Wha-How the hell you get there?!"
"Listen here, I feel ya. My parents don't give me that much affection either. But game is game. When life gives you Sitrus Berry, you just turn it into Pokéblocks. Wait, I don't think that idiom suits you, since you dislike contests and such."
"Enough!" Solips shouted.
"Oh wow, spoilers alert, the Edgelord is pissed as hell." Endre said mockingly.
"Alright then… You!" Solips points at him. "Your Froakie, versus me and my Treecko!"
"Oh, are you inviting me to have a fistfight with you while our Pokémon fights-"
"No! I meant Pokémon Battles! Gracious Arceus, what's wrong with you!"
"Eh, that will do." Endre then went to the sides and placed Lulu and Rookie down. He and Geki then stood on the opposite side of Solips. "Oh well, let's go, Geki!"
[Endre Adler]
Froakie (Geki)
Vs
Treecko
[Solips Teivel]
"Have the honour to move first, Mr. Edgelord~." Endre said to him.
"If that's what you want. Treecko, Bullet Seed!"
"Treec… Kokokokoko!" It released the bullets of seeds from its mouth.
"Geki, rollout and use Double Team!"
"Froakie!" It dash in a zigzag line and clones of it appear on the field.
Poof*
The attack only hits one of the clones.
"Treecko, find the one that has shadows under it and use Quick Attack."
"Treecko!" It searches for the silhouette that has shadows. "!"
It found it and dashed forward with its right hand forward. As it expected to hit it…
Poof*
"Another clone?! But it has shadows under it!" Solips exclaimed.
"Look again." Endre said to him.
As the smoke goes out, Treecko saw Geki standing two meters away from it.
"Geki stood behind the clone to make an illusion that the clone was real, and leaped backwards to evade the attack." Endre explained. "I don't mind revealing the secret, because I have ways to counter it. Geki, use Cut and then leap back to blend in with the clones!"
"Froakie!" It then uses its hand to slash Treecko.
"Treecko!" It gets sent backwards.
Geki then leaps back to blend in with the clones.
"Tch…" Solips silently clicked his tongue. "Treecko, use Breaking Swipe to clear out the clones!"
"Treec… Ko!" It swiped its right hands onto all of the clones.
Poof* Poof* Poof* Poof* Poof* Poof*
All the clones instantly disappear and the field is filled with smoke. Now, Treecko can't see anything for a slight second.
"Heh, hitting all of them at once is your biggest mistake, Mr. Edgelord!" Endre exclaimed. "Geki, use Ice Punch on Treecko's tail!"
"Froakie!" Geki came down from the sky and went towards Treecko.
"What?! It uses the smoke as a cover for it to leap upwards?!"
Thud* Creak*
As its right hand connected with Treecko's tail, its tail also froze at that moment. Geki then leap forward facing the Treecko.
"Yes, its tail is frozen!"
"Treecko! Treecko!" It tries to free its tail from the Freeze, but nothing would work.
"Geki!" Again, same as yesterday, Endre's red eyes shine brighter. "Finish it with Liquidation!"
"Froa…" It dashed forward with its hand covered with dark blue glows. Geki punches Treecko's face with its left hand. "KIE!!!"
And finished it with an uppercut on the Pokémon chin, sending it flying up.
Thud*
Treecko's fall made dust around the field.
"We… Won!" Endre said as the dust flew out, revealing the fainted Treecko.
"..."
Bzz*
Solips silently stored his Treecko into its Poké Ball.
"It seems like I underestimated you, foreigner. Well, since you have two more Pokémon to use… Might as well continue this battle." He then reached for a Poké Ball.
"An Ultra Ball?" Endre saw the Poké Ball in Solips' hand.
"Go, Kubfu."
Pop* Bzz*
"Kubfu!" The Pokémon, who's wearing an Expert Belt, cried as it was released from its Poké Ball.
"Kubfu?" As usual, aside from Pokémons that are native to Hoenn, Endre pretty much doesn't know any Pokémons outside from Hoenn, except for a few.
"Let me handle this!" Rotom Phone slipped out from his pocket and scanned the Pokémon.
[Kubfu, the Wushu Pokémon. A Fighting Type. It trains hard to perfect its moves. The moves it masters will determine which form it takes when it evolves. If Kubfu pulls the long white hair on its head, its fighting spirit heightens and power wells up from the depths of its belly.]
"A Fighting type… Geki can handle it. That Pokémon looked as strong as Geki itself."
Clap*
Endre then clapped his hands together.
"Okay, let's continue this."
[Endre Adler]
Froakie (Geki)
Rookidee (Rookie)
Ralts (Lulu)
Vs
Kubfu
[Solips Teivel]
"Geki, use Liquidation!"
"Froakie!" It heeded its trainer order, as it approached the opponent Pokémon.
"Kubfu, use Thunder Punch." Teivel ordered his Pokémon.
Bzz* Swoosh*
Kubfu's right hand sparks with electricity, as it instantly dashed towards Geki.
"Kub… Fu!"
Thud* Bzz*
"Froakie!"
Geki gets sent backwards by the attack.
"Geki!" Endre ran towards his Pokémon's side.
"That Kubfu is fast…" Markus muttered.
"That guy has a foul mouth. But I have to admit, his Pokémon are strong." Jules said.
"I guess that's why he can act like that." Minnie commented.
"Well, he still has 2 more Pokémons to use. I don't think he'll switch to Rookidee, since he already saw that Kubfu has an Electric type move." Emery explained. "The next move that he will make is…"
Bzz*
Endre returned Geki into its Poké Ball.
"Alright, Lulu. It's your turn." He said to the Ralts.
"Ralts!" It walked to the front.
"Smart choice. However, Kubfu will win this battle." Solips exclaimed.
"Oh ho, let's see about that, Mr. Edgelord."
"Well then, you're the one who's asking for it! Kubfu, finish this with Metal Claw!" Solips exclaimed.
"Kub…" Its nails elongated, as he sprinted towards Lulu. "FU!"
Kubfu jumped and leapt towards the Ralts.
"Ralts…" Lulu lifts its head up, revealing its eyes. However, there's something weird with it.
"Kubfu?!" As it slash its nail towards the Pokémon, it slowly leans to the left, evading the Metal Claw.
"Huh?!" Solips can't believe that a Pokémon like Ralts has the reaction time to detect and evade the attack.
"Lulu, use Psychic!" Endre ordered.
"Ralts!" A psywave blasted off from Lulu's hands towards the Kubfu, pushing it back to its trainer side.
"Kub… Fu…" The Pokémon weakly grunts as it finds it hard to stand up after taking the powerful Psychic from Lulu.
Winner:
[Endre Adler]
"What… How could a legendary Pokémon like you be defeated by a mere Ralts…" Solips muttered.
"Hey," Endre spoke up. "Is that all your Pokémon?"
Solips looks at him, and sees he's glaring at him with his glowing red eyes.
"I see… He's the same as him…" Solips pulled his Ultra Ball out and stored Kubfu inside of it. He then stood up and walked away.
"Hey, where do you think you're going?" Jules asked him.
"To get stronger." He turned around to answer her question. "Besides, I don't think there's anything for me to do here. Isn't that right, Professor Will?"
"Ah, yes. Be careful out there. You might not know what will happen to you if you aren't careful enough." The prof said to him.
"I will." With that, Solips left the field.
"Look at him, running away after losing. Sigh* There's nothing more satisfying than that." Jules muttered.
"Jules… You're something else, you know that?" Minnie said to him.
"Funny, because that's exactly what my parents said to me."
"Hahaha…" Minnie just chuckled nervously.
"Well, I hope that he can't tone down that Mr. Edgelord attitude after this. Right, Lulu?" Endre said to his Pokémon.
"Ralts!" It cried, as if replying back to him.
"Rookie!" The Pokémon on Endre's head chirped, trying to get his attention.
"I know, I know. But sending you into battle will get you OHKO'd by the Kubfu's Thunder Punch, you know… Right?"
"Rookidee!"
"You don't mind that? You're a weird Pokémon…"
"That was a magnificent display of Pokémon Battle, Endre." The prof said as he approached him. "You know that Metal Claw has a slight chance to miss, so you take the gamble and go all out with Psychic to finish Kubfu off."
"Oh wow, you read me just like a book. I guess you're ain't the Pokémon Researcher for nothing." He replied back.
"Oh man…!" Markus then stood in front of Endre. "You gotta teach me how to battle like that!"
"Um…" Endre moves to the back to get some space. "Who are these peeps, prof?"
"My name is Markus! Markus Eagon! And I'm going to be the future champion of Wifoit! Nice to meet you!" He said while furiously shaking Endre's hand.
"Oh, a champ, huh? You certainly… Have the qualities to become a champ…" Endre said while carefully choosing his words. Not like he doubted the boy, but he sure had a long way to go to be at the champ's level.
"Oh, thanks!" Markus takes that as a compliment. "So can you teach me how to battle like that?"
"Hold yer horses, buddy. First of all, I didn't ask for your name. I actually wanted to know why you guys are here.
"Oh, these lovely kids are a part of the 'PokéDex Holder Program'." The prof answered. "These kids had passed all the exams in order for them to be a part of this program."
"Wait… There's exams? Now I understand why Mr. Edgelord is mad at me for getting the Pokédex for free."
"I admit, there's some difficulties. But in technicality, you aren't a part of this program. So rest assured."
"I see…" Endre didn't know whether this was good or not. But what happened had happened. So he just has to continue with his life here.
"Since you are here, let me introduce you to the other Pokédex Holders."
"No need for that, professor. We can do that ourselves." Emery said while walking towards the group. "My name is Emery Ashleigh. And I'm pretty much a normal trainer."
"Someone who calls themselves 'normal' is definitely not normal…" Endre thought to himself.
"My name is Minnie Fernsby." She walked behind Emery. "I might not be the best in Pokémon Battles, but I will do my best!"
"Typical teenage girl. I guess this is okay."
"Well, I guess it's my turn then." Jules then walked over. "My name is Jules Toussaint. And I hope you don't have a foul mouth."
"And here comes the eccentric girl. This is my life now, is it?"
"Hey, why are you making a face like that?" She asked.
"Oh, nothing. There's a lot of things I need to think of." Endre answered. "But first of all, I need to head to the Pokémon Center to get my Pokémon healed up."
"Oh, I can help with that! Follow me!" Markus then pulled Endre's arm.
"H-Hey?!" Endre then gets pulled and dragged somewhere.
Swoosh*
Instantly, both of them are gone.
Both of Endre's get left out from their Poké Ball and can't catch up to their trainer due to him being dragged against his will.
"Rookie!" Rookie then flies closer to Lulu. "Rookie, Rookidee!"
"Ralts." Lulu then pointed at the open windows on the top of the lab leading to the cabin that Endre stayed at.
"Rookie!"
It then flew up and entered the windows. Then, Lulu uses Teleport to get inside the cabin.
"Oh wow, his Pokemons are pretty independent and calm, knowing that their trainer is being dragged somewhere else." Jules commented.
"I guess so. Let's wait for them so that we can introduce our Pokémons to him." Minnie suggested.
"That's a great idea. How about you, Emery?" Jules asked her.
"Oh, I'm okay with that." She replied.
"Alright. I wanted to check this Rotom Phone here inside the lab." Minnie then walked back inside the lab.
"Hey, I want to do that too!" Jukes rushed back inside the lab.
"My, my. It reminds me of the times when I'm still a trainer." Prof Aspen muttered. "How about we wait for Endre and Markus inside, Emery?"
"Yeah. And professor, I wanted to ask something?" She asked.
"Oh, what is it?"
"Back then, when Ralts was about to evade the Metal Claw, I saw Endre tilting his head to the left at the same time when Ralts leaned to the left. Do you have something to say regarding that?"
"Ah, maybe his head is sluggish. You can also see that his clothes are full of dirt. Maybe something had happened before he teleported here." The prof answered.
"Hmm… That's reasonable. Never mind. Maybe it's just me. Sorry for asking, professor." Emery then walked back inside the lab.
Professor Aspen then looks at the direction where Endre and Markus went.
"That was an unexpected display of synchronisation between a Pokémon and its trainer. This will be getting interesting."
A few minutes later…
"We're back!" Markus barges into the lab.
"Hah… Hah… Hah…" Endre is there too, but it seems like he ran out of breath from all of them dragging around. "He not only dragged me to the Pokémon Center… But he also dragged me to the beach, the forest, the everything…"
"Hehehe… Sorry about that!"
" Sigh*" Endre takes a seat on a sofa.
Clomp* Clomp* Clomp*
He heard someone going downstairs.
"Huh-"
"Ralts!" Lulu jumped down and landed on Endre's stomach.
"OOF?!"
"Rookidee!" Rookie then landed on his head.
"You guys…"
Bzz*
Geki then went out of its Poké Ball.
"Froakie! Froakie, Froakie!" It then leaps onto the sofa and starts pushing Lulu off from its trainer's stomach.
"Rookie!" It then glanced at Geki, while its beak was shining as ever.
"Froakie…" That action brings Geki back to its trauma, where he and Endre get pecked the hell out just an hour ago.
"Oh, yeah." Endre then repositioned himself and lifted two of his Pokémons with his hands. "I haven't properly introduced myself to everyone yet. The name's Endre Adler. I'm from Hoenn. And on the right here is my partner, Lulu. The one on the left is Geki, and the one who's sitting on top of my head is Rookie. Nice to meet y'all."
"Ralts!"
"Froakie!"
"Rookidee!"
His Pokémon cried, as if introducing themselves.
"Nice to meet 'cha!" Markus said. "Let me introduce my pals. Come on out!"
Pop* Bzz*
He threw three Poké Balls out from his waist.
"Scyther!"
"Leafeon!"
"Litten!"
His Pokémons stood next to him.
"This is my pals! Slicy, Leafy and… Fiery! Yeah, Fiery!" Markus exclaimed.
"Oh…" Out of the things he didn't expect, Endre didn't know a beginner trainer could have such strong pokemon.
"Ah, let me introduce my Pokémons as well!" Jules said as she brought out her Poké Balls.
Pop* Bzz*
"Espeon!"
"Gliscor!"
"Squirtle!"
Her Pokémons cried.
"This one is Epsy, the other one is Glice, and here is our new member, Chip!" She said while lifting Squirtle up.
"Um…" Another trainer has quite strong Pokémons.
"I guess it's my turn. Alright then, come on out, you guys!" Minnie threw her Poké Balls out.
"Kangaskhan!"
"Sylveon!"
"Scorbunny!"
Her Poké cried as well.
"Ok… This is Bunny! And these guys are Sylvy, Kangy and Kangy Jr.."
"Kangaskhan!" The baby Pokémon cried.
"Uh..." This can't be happening.
"Oh, well… You guys come out too." Emery said as she dropped her Poke Balls to the ground.
Pop* Bzz*
"Pikachu!"
"Lapras!"
"Spiga… Tito…"
Her Pokémon stood next to her. Except for Sprigatito, who's yawning and taking a nap.
"Hmm… Nevermind that." Emery said after seeing Sprigatito like that. "This is Chuchu and Azure. As for this one here… Let's call it Ivy."
"Sprigatito…" It yawned, again.
"..." Without saying anything, Endre stood up, put his Pokémons on the sofa and went upstairs.
"Where is he going?" Minnie asked.
"I think he's heading to the cabin upstairs." The prof answered.
"But why?"
"Let's just ask him if he comes down again." Emery said.
A few minutes later…
Clomp* Clomp* Clomp*
Endre walked down from the stairs, fully dressed and his bag was fully loaded.
"Return, Lulu, Geki, Rookie." He pointed their respective Poké Balls at them, which made them return inside the ball.
Bzz*
He stored their Poké Balls onto his waist. Endre then walks towards the exit.
"Prof, I'm going now." He said to the professor.
"You're leaving already?"
"Leaving?!" Markus shouted. "But you haven't teached me anything yet!"
"I don't want to teach you." Endre said to him. "Also, if you want to be a champion, make sure you know your opponent's strength first, so that you can find their weaknesses easily. And make sure you don't ignore their voices."
"I didn't know what you meant by that, but I will try my best to do that!" Markus exclaimed.
"Seriously…?" Minnie facepalmed herself due to Markus's idiocy.
"Well then, if you want to leave now, there's something that you need to take first." The prof then opened a bag and took something out of it. "Here!"
He threw something at Endre like a boomerang. As the thing gets closer, Endre catches it with his hand.
"A cap…?" The thing Endre catches is a black and red colored plain cap. "I'm not 11, prof. What am I supposed to do with this? And actually, why are you giving me this?"
"Ah. This cap was from your father." The prof answered.
"From dad…?"
"And there's something attached inside the cap."
"Is it?" Endre looked under it, and saw some kind of voucher inside. He plucked it off. "What's this?"
"It's a bike voucher, which you can redeem at the town. I suppose that Markus had shown where the shop is, right?"
"Yeah…" Endre then looks at the cap. "Goodness Arceus… Out of the things he could have given me…"
Endre then put on the cap with the bill pointing forward.
"I guess I'm leaving now." He said as he left the lab. "I will visit from time to time if I discover something amazing."
"Okay. Make sure to take care of yourself." The prof said to him.
Endre raised his right hand with a thumbs up, indicating that he will do that.
"I wonder why he wanted to go out early." Jules wondered.
"Maybe when he saw our Pokémons, he felt like his Pokémons were too weak to stand on the same level as us. So, he wanted to train them first so that they weren't intimidated during the next time we met." Emery explained.
"That's an oddly specific reason…" Minnie muttered.
"Whichever reason it is, he's taking the first step as a Pokémon Trainer. And I hope that you all will follow suit as well." Professor Aspen said to them.
"If that's the case… Then I will go out on an adventure now!" Markus exclaimed. "Let's go, you guys!"
He stored his Pokémons back into their Poké Balls.
"HAH!!!" Markus then catches up to Endre. "I won't let you defeat me, Endre!"
"Ah, sh*t!" When he saw Markus chasing him, Endre started running away from him. "Just leave me alone!"
Both of them then ran all the way into the town.
" Sigh* Boys…" Jules muttered.
And with that, the story of the one who's on his way to be the very like no one ever was has begun. His path is full of thorns, but how will he manage to overcome them?
