This is the story of how it all began and when I mean ALL began I mean ALL. Well, the story of me and Chad.
Growing up we lived in a small sized home fitting around 2-3 people which was perfect for our family. Chad and I lived with our mom who prefers not to be named. She took great care of us especially considering the job she had. Working at the Walmart McDonalds, this only gets you three dollars a year. This was the only job my mom could obtain considering the brain damage she has received over the years.
Mom was blackmailed and eventually sued after the duffer brothers dm'd her stating "You named your kids after our cast" which is totally not true at the time when we were just 8 years old while the unmarked show was just 5 years old. It truly makes me sick to my stomach to talk about. Our mom after refusing to pay the money they wanted was officially on a hitlist and luckily they spared her but only left one brain cell in her body.
Enough about my mentally challenged mother. Me and Chad would live off the scraps that our mom would uber home to us. That's the only thing we had since our mom had to work full time. We were left at the house alone 24-7 with no contact to anyone. Usually the lights would not work and we lived in an area with only night. Sadly both me and my brother were terrified of the dark. Leaving us in a constant state of fear.
This affected us greatly in the future. Constant nightmares and trembling. Remember this all happened when we were both just 8 year
old. We would celebrate our birthdays together by holding a lighter in the dark and singing ring around the rosy. This was our favorite song. Celebrating birthdays together was no burden since we were identical twins. But with no parent supervision it could definitely get out of hand considering we were just children. I remember it like it was yesterday, our 9th birthday. We were celebrating like usual getting out the lighter when suddenly Chad sneezed. This is not uncommon because he is allergic to air.
With this sneeze I panicked and dropped the lighter. The floor soaked in Walmart McDonalds grease went up in flames. Destroying our small shack. Me and Chad have very bad anxiety so we panicked and passed out. Luckily our neighbor, the rat that lives underneath the sewage dump called 911 after seeing the flames enveloping our house.
The firefighters arrived just in time to save us. But sadly not our house, after two seconds of being on fire it crumbled to ash and dust leaving us laying in the middle surrounded by a circle of flames. They pulled us out and woke us up with some "medication" they found in their fire truck.
Later after we had recovered we were brought to our mom at her work. She simply replied with "Rahbsdhahindao" which the firemen testified later in court. See me and my brother were accused of arson of government property. Silly as it was because that was our house not the governments. Of course we pleaded innocent. But while our plea was heard the judge declared our mother as someone who is mentally unstable. She was sent to the nearest asylum.
Without a father we were sent to the foster system. This was all very nerve racking since there was a chance me and Chad could get separated. Now I understand that that could have never happened. Because we stayed in the foster system for a while. Nobody wanted to adopt us. They would all say that we are too ugly and unwanted. This rejection though disturbing was a crucial event in our development. After years and years in the system to be exact 10 years. We were released and free to be adults.
While acting mature is a responsible thing to do, me and my brother were the exact opposite. We would party all night, hang out with girls and never truly be dating one person. We also did not think that we were each just one person being identical; it felt like we were just the same person copied and pasted.
We lived in a small apartment for a long time sharing a bed. The apartment only had one room which made it difficult to have personal space. Luckily for me and my brother we felt right at home. We would work late nights at the food and drinks for the common slug. It was busy but still enjoyable.
We lived this way for a while until the accident happened. It was a cold July night and I walked alone down our neighborhood which was my first mistake. There were drug dealers and gangs around every corner. I went around two blocks when the sudden sensation of being followed filled me. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw a large white van following me. I carefully walked back home when the van had pulled over and two large men jumped out and walked towards me.
Trying to stay calm while they walk faster and faster, a walk turns into a run. While I'm running away for my life a man appears behind the corner and pushes me onto the ground. They yell "CHAD! You dirty little cheat! I'm going to kill you."The only reaction I could muster was a smile. Which leads to me bursting into laughter.
While I was trying to keep a straight face they attacked me and pushed me into their van. My muffled screams were unheard as they had driven me through the night. I stayed like this for quite some time. Until what I thought was morning I was back in my bed. Curious I was, since my brother was not beside me. I thought it was just a dream but after seeing multiple bruise marks located all over my body it became obvious that it was not.
I called my brother over and over. No answer until around 12 at night when he answered by saying "I'm sorry brother but I owe money to the government and with no way to pay I must result in eating my toe." I understood and agreed to see him in the morning.
The next day as promised he was toeless. This event frustrated both of us. We agreed we needed to do something about our faces. Being identical and all. Chad agreed to get plastic surgery to help differentiate me from him. His surgery included botox, chin sharpener. Cheek implants, and even teeth downsizer.
This is after you can obviously see it went terribly wrong…
