If It knew what emotions were, It would know that It was scared, but It didn't have any memories of them before nor did It asked for what they were. It had cracks on It's shell where a black substance came out, It held a nail that was damaged do to having to constantly fight creatures that were much skilled than It.
It had survived those encounters by the mere fact that It didn't felt the pain that the wounds would give, but it didn't meant that they didn't affect It, it just meant that in the battle It wouldn't mind them as much as the other. Such recklessness resulted in It being at death's doors much more times that it would be any good, and this was just one of those occasions.
But due to the wounds It's movements were sloppy and a bit careless, because of this, It didn't noticed the branch that stood out causing it to trip and roll down a little cliff. At the bottom, It rested face down not even having the energy to get up, so even if It decided to try to find a place to rest, It wouldn't be capable of doing so.
It wanted to hide so other creatures wouldn't take advantage of It being unable to move, but It was getting unconscious until... the darkness took over it's vision.
Unknown to It, another creature was passing by where It was, and after seeing It the creature decided to take it to another place.
When It woke up, It wasn't in the same place that It had went unconscious, It assumed that some other creature had found It and decided to bring It to their nest to eat It later. It tried to take It's nail to have a way to defend Itself, only to notice that whoever had taken It there also took It's nail so in the case It woke up, It wouldn't be able to defend Itself.
Before It could start searching for the nail, It hear noise from the entrance of the nest and as It looked there expecting a beast that wouldn't think twice before ripping It's limbs into shreds so It wouldn't be able to do anything.
But instead of that, a creature that had a white face and black and violet furr, the creature held many oranges in it's two arms, but the moment it saw It, the creature left the oranges and came close to It.
It didn't the creature since It still thought that the creature wanted to kill It, but instead the creature held him up to it's chest in a warm hug that It didn't understand as It never had one before so It didn't knew what the creature was doing, but It didn't feel an immediate threat so It let the creature continue the thing it was doing.
After a while It found out that the creature's name was Naru, and It also learned that It wasn't the only one that Naru had found, she had also found another one that it was actually the one that had found It.
It also found out that they healed It's mask, at It's confusion, Naru mentioned that it was to help him to recover, but this confused It even further. Why would they help It? Other creatures that It had met, hadn't thought twice of taking advantage of It being at death's door.
So being with someone that actually didn't do such thing, was a breath of fresh air that It didn't understood, but It decided that it would be best if It stayed for a while to rest but also help the only ones that helped It.
Then they heard someone else enter the nest, when It looked towards the sound, It found out that the one that had entered was a creature that emitted a light blue light that was also carrying some oranges.
But when the creature looked at It, it had dropped the oranges alongside Naru's and went towards It in somewhat of a fast pace, as the other creature approached it slowed down and stretched it's hand towards It.
Somewhat understanding It did the same and they shook hands, It didn't understood why, but It wanted to make sure that the creature would still be alive no matter what. After that, Naru explained that she was the one that had It and her name was Ori.
Ori looked towards Naru and asked her if they could show It around, at this she accepted to do so, at this Ori was happy that they could show It the nest and the surroundings.
It was surprised of how different everything was from where It came from, instead of a waste land with creatures wanting to kill It around the corner, it was a peaceful place were they could relax and enjoy the amazing views all around.
If It could describe it, It would do it with the word "peaceful", another thing It noticed was that, while Naru was calm and careful, Ori was more energized and took some little risks with the things she was doing.
But despite this, no accidents were made as Naru and Ori helped each other and It, to move around and show all around. After a while the tour had ended, so Ori asked Naru if they could continue with a bridge that they were doing to get to a big tree that had many oranges (or so they have explained It).
Sadly, for her, Naru told her that first they would collect the remaining oranges from the other trees and then they would continue with the bridge, but it would be done tomorrow since night was coming.
After that, they went inside including It, even though It didn't request it. At late night It was still awake since It didn't need to sleep, so It decided to help Naru and Ori by getting some oranges Itself since they were nice to It, so It got up and left to get some oranges for them.
Next morning Naru and Ori don't find It after waking up, so they assumed It had left in the middle of the night, Ori was a bit disappointed by this but Naru calmed her down by reminding her that they would go to get some oranges to continue the bridge.
After that, they had gone out, only to see somewhat big pile of oranges outside while It was coming back with some more oranges that It had somehow been able to get.
At this Ori went to help It to put the oranges inside the nest, after that Naru and Ori had asked It if It wanted to stay with them, and surprisingly It had nodded in acceptance the offer since It didn't had anywhere else to go.
They only needed to figure out what to call him by, but they had noticed that It couldn't speak so they gave it something to write It's name on, there was only one problem… It didn't have a name, but after a while of thinking it had remembered an encounter with another creature It had found in It's travels.
So, after settling on it, It had written how It would be called.
For now, on It would be called "Ghost".
