Happy New Year! Most likely when this chapter is up, we will all be in 2024! Hopefully, this will be a good year for RWBY... Hopefully...

Anyways, in case you don't know, I'm a huge JJK fan and like anyone who is a fan of multiple shows, I like to read crossovers. While saddened that there weren't a lot of fanfics for JJK (not surprised since this anime doesn't have a lot of fanfics...) I was still hooked on it. I have seen writers use multiple charactes, the best example I can give is having Gojo be a Schnee, but I haven't seen someone use my favourite character, Megumi Fushiguro. So, like Thanos, I decided to do it myself and write this neat little story. In case the synopsis wasn't enough...

SPOILERS FOR JJK MANGA UNTIL CHAPTER 236!

Without further ado, I hope you enjoy!

December 24th, Japan

Darkness.

Megumi was used to the darkness from using his Cursed Technique. If he had to describe it, it would be like underwater. You are surrounded by water, like you were relaxing in a pool. There is no oxygen, but you don't feel the need to breathe. At first you feel cold, but then your body gets used to it. Megumi didn't really like or disliked the feeling since he was focused on the fights, but if he had a choice, he would choose the one he was most used to because his current predicament was worse.

Cold. That was the quickest way to describe being Sukuna's vessel.

If the feeling before was like being in a pool, now it is like when you get out of the pool but you have no towel and no way to cover yourself, so now you're freezing, completely alone in the darkness.

Megumi hated it and he hated even more what he was witnessing.

He saw everything.

He saw Sukuna use his body and his Shikigami to attack his friends. He managed to hold back Sukuna from killing them, but apparently the man didn't like it and decided to punish him for it.

The King of Curses managed to suppress him using some kind of bath that just felt like his entire body was violated. Still, that was nothing compared to what he did next.

That four-eyed bastard killed Tsumiki… his sister, using his hands and his Ten Shadows Technique! Seeing his Shikigami being turned into those horrific beings, and them being used against Tsumiki broke him.

Megumi wasn't stupid, he knew that was Sukuna plan all along. To break his spirit so he can no longer rebel. Well he got what he wanted, but what he didn't account for were the remains still being there, slowly mending as he saw his sensei, Satoru Gojo, again.

He had hope that Gojo-sensei would defeat Sukuna and kill him. Again Megumi wasn't stupid, there was no way he could be saved or somehow transfer Sukuna back to Itadori and there was no way to stop Sukuna without killing him, so Megumi accepted his fate.

And even if there was a chance of him returning, it was gone when Sukuna bisected Gojo with Mahoraga.

As Sukuna incarnated completely, his soul was consumed in the abyss

Images flashed in his mind, training days, battles fought, friends he made.

He remembered his friends still fighting like Itadori or Maki. Despite his entire soul being broken and his entire self being consumed, he held out hope that those still remaining would be able to win.

If there is an afterlife, you better not be right behind me, Itadori! If you are, I'll kill you!

That was the last thought Megumi Fushiguro had…

…at least in this world.

He gasped, feeling air enter his lungs after so long. He quickly got up and looked around, and found himself in an alleyway. "Where am I?" He said outloud as he began to look around. "Is this some sort of game by Sukuna? No, there would be no reason for him to do this…"

He sighed as he looked up. "Regardless, better get a bird's eye view." He said as he did a familiar hand sign. 'Nue'

Out of the shadows, a large owl-like creature with orange feathers and a white mask-like skull, appeared.

For a brief moment he smiled. It was nice seeing his Shikigami again back in their normal form. Nue grabbed him by the shoulders with his talon and went upwards as he overlooked his surroundings.

"Well, wherever I am, I am definitely not in Shinjuku." He said. "The place was basically ruins and I don't see any signs of fight here in this place."

It looked like an ordinary city. Buildings as far as the eye could see, starry skies, the moon was shattered, what was probably a castle in the distance…

.

.

.

.

THE MOON WAS SHATTERED!?

Megumi looked up, seeing a full moon. Or like, ¾ of a full moon, considering the rest was broken off, the bits still connected, probably due to its gravity.

"...Please don't tell me Sukuna was able to slice the freaking moon!" He said, shivering a bit at the thought of it. "Was I somehow reincarnated, similar to the players of the Culling Game? But I don't have any new memories, not to mention I look the same."

He looked down at himself. Yep, he was wearing his Jujutsu High Uniform, just before Sukuna took over. He began checking his pockets, seeing if he had a phone, but he didn't have anything on him. "Dammit, of course… I'm in an unknown location after an unknown amount of time passed with no way of contacting the others. Anything else?"

He yelled at the sky.

Suddenly he heard a small explosion in the distance. He groaned. "I just had to open my mouth…"

The streets were full of citizens. All enjoying a night out on the town. Whether it be drinking with colleagues or enjoying a quiet walk with their loved ones. But many began to disperse as a group of men walked down the street. At the front of the pack was a tall and lanky man with slanted, dark-green eyes with eyeliner and bright, long, orange hair, with long bangs that covered his right eye. He walked in the front of the pack, adjusting his bowler hat when a gust of wind blew it slightly off center. He quickly fixed it with his black gloves and tugged at his gray scarf tied around his neck. The cigar in the orange haired man's mouth extinguished. He paused and quickly relit the cigar without touching it. He continued on his path and looked down the street he was walking and smirked when he saw a dust store still open, the sign above the store reading From Dust till Dawn.

The man entered the shop with his henchmen and walked up to the counter. He looked at the elderly shopkeeper before taking his cigar out of his mouth and began waving it around. Ashes dropped onto the counter, annoying the shopkeeper. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?" He asked the shopkeeper.

One of his henchmen pulled out a gun and aimed it at the shopkeeper, sending the elderly man into a panic. He quickly raised his hands in surrender "Please! Just take my Lien and leave, Roman Torchwick!" He pleaded

The criminal named Roman shushed the man repeatedly. "Calm down. I don't want to hurt one of my fans." He told the shopkeeper before turning to his goons "Grab the Dust."

The Henchmen wandered around the shop, taking all the Dust they could find as the boss waited. One henchman walked towards a tube containing Dust, but paused when he noticed a small, kid-sized, red cloaked cloaked figure, reading the latest weapon's magazine.

He unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards the figure. "Alright, kid. Hands where I can see 'em." He ordered, but the figure did not react to his words.

"Hey! I said hands in the air! You got a death wish or something?!" He shouted at her. His frustration only grew when the figure didn't react again. He walked towards the figure and tapped it on the shoulder. The figure turned around and lowered their hood, allowing the henchman to see it was a young girl with black hair with red tips and silver eyes. But what caught the Henchman's attention were the headphones covering her ears. He motioned for her to take them off, which she did.

"Yes?" The girl asked, unsure of what the man wanted with her.

"I said, put your hands in the air now!" The man ordered her

"Are you... Robbing me?" The girl questioned.

"Yes!" The henchman cried out, exasperated.

"Oh."

Roman waited for his henchman to finish when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw one of them go flying past him. He looked towards his henchmen and motioned for them to handle whatever was causing the disturbance. A henchman walked to where the knocked out henchman used to be and aimed his gun at something. That something quickly kicked the man through the shop's window and followed him out onto the street. She pulled something out of her pocket and the item began to unfold, eventually forming into a giant mechanical scythe. She pulled a few tricks with it before slamming it into the road, causing it to crack. A silver rose emblem jangled on her belt illuminated by the moonlight. Her name was Ruby Rose.

Roman just stared at her before sighing. "Okay." He quietly muttered to himself, annoyed, before turning to the rest of his henchmen. "Get her."

The Henchmen began to run out of the store and charge the girl. Ruby quickly dodged the first hit and spun around with her scythe before kicking one of the henchmen back through the broken window. She knocked one enemy behind her. The last henchman quickly tried shooting the girl, but she disappeared in a burst of rose petals to dodge the bullets before speeding towards him and knocking him into the air. Ruby then used the scythe along with her momentum to swing her body around to the henchman before delivering a fierce kick that sent him flying towards the boss. She landed gracefully.

She heard a groan from behind her and turned to see the henchman she knocked behind her get back up and charge at her.

"You damn brat!" The henchman behind her shouted running up to her. She prepared to intercept his attack, but in the blink of an eye, the man was attacked by a flying object, sending him flying against a wall and knocking him out. Ruby slowly looked up as a bird-like creature began flying back, hovering near a man with black hair that was around her age.

"You were worth every penny. You truly were." Roman said to the unconscious henchman before looking back at Ruby and Megumi. "Well, this is not how I expected this night to go…"

"And what were your plans tonight?" Megumi asked Roman, trying to get more info. "Why did you attack this place?"

"Gee, why would I want to rob a Dust shop?" Roman asked sarcastically. "Maybe because I wanted Dust?"

"Dust?" Megumi asked under his breath, with only Ruby hearing him. Why would someone want dust? And English? That rules out Japan.

"Well, Red, Emo, I think we can all say that it's been an eventful evening." The criminal said, taking out his cigar and throwing it to the ground before crushing it with his cane. Police sirens echoed in the distance, getting closer with every passing moment. "And as much as I'd love to stick around…" He lifted his cane and pointed it at the girl. The bottom flipped open, revealing a hollow inside, but the cane now had a telescopic sight. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways."

Ruby quickly aimed her scythe downwards, preparing to dodge the bullet, but she was caught off guard when something slimy wrapped around her waist and pulled backwards as an explosion happened. As she looked down, she saw it was a tongue of sorts and following that, she saw it came from a toad. "Ew, ew, ew!" She repeated as the toad dropped her next to Megumi, who had his hand in a sign.

"Quit your whining!" He shouted as Gamma let go of Ruby.

Ruby looked away and saw the criminal climbing a ladder to the roof. She turned to the shopkeeper. "Do you mind if I go after him?" She asked and the shopkeeper gave her a nod, prompting her to chase after the runner.

Using her Semblance, she quickly got up to the roof in a burst of petals. She glanced briefly behind her to see the other boy being carried by the bird creature.

"Is your semblance to summon animals?" Ruby asked.

"Semblance?" Megumi asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You don't kno-"

"Fight now, talk later." He interrupted her as they both looked in front of them.

The orange haired criminal made his way to the roof and ran across it, but halted when he came to the edge of the roof. He turned around to try and find another way down, instead he saw them on the roof. "Persistent…"

A loud noise broke the silence permeating the air. A Bullhead rose behind the criminal. The boy and girl held their ground as the wind blew past them ferociously. A hatch opened on the side, allowing Roman to climb inside. He turned back towards the duo and smirked.

"End of the line kids!" He yelled before throwing a red crystal at the pair. It landed in front of Ruby and the criminal quickly raised his cane and fired at it. Megumi didn't have enough time to send Nue to intercept before the bullet hit the crystal, causing it to explode.

"Whoa-ho-ho!" He laughed with a wide smile on his face. But that joy quickly turned to confusion as he saw a purple glow on the roof. "Huh?"

A middle-aged woman with very light-blonde hair tied back in a bun stood in front of the two with a purple shield protecting them all, most likely coming from the riding crop she was holding out. As the ashes cleared from the explosion, the shield slowly faded away.

Ruby looked at the woman in awe while Megumi looked at her for a brief moment before looking back at the ship. The woman pushed up her thin ovular glasses. Suddenly, purple streaks quickly flew at the Bullhead and slammed into it, causing the ship to rock side to side. It slowly began losing altitude, prompting the man in the ship to run to the front.

The Bullhead slowly regained altitude, but dark clouds appeared over the ship. With a wave of the woman's riding crop, jagged purple hail began to rain down on the ship, impaling the Bullhead's exterior.

A woman cloaked in shadows stood in the hatch. Her arms and chest began to light up in a brilliant orange before a fireball was launched at the blonde. Said woman quickly raised her riding crop, ready to deflect the attack, but was beaten to the punch. She felt something pass by her and she saw a stream of water ice go by her eye and collide with the fireball, turning it into mist. She turned around to see Megumi once again, this time with a… pink elephant next to him?

Ruby, not wanting to miss out on helping out the blonde woman, raised her scythe before it shifted into a gun. She shot bullets at the Bullhead, but the mysterious woman blocked all her shots before creating glyphs under all three of them. The Blonde quickly waved her riding crop, causing Megumi and Ruby to telekinetically get shoved away before she rolled out of the glyph before it exploded into flames.

The Bullhead began to fly away, but it turned out one of them wasn't finished. Megumi ran up, making two signs with his hands.

'Bottomless Well'

The combination of Gamma and Nue appeared. They all quickly shot out their tongues and grabbed onto the ship. The engines groaned loudly, whirring as the ship tried to not crash. Megumi quickly jumped on the tongues and used them as a bridge.

The woman seemed unfazed by the ship being compared to a fly as she held her open hand out to Megumi and an orange circle appeared under him, but he did not move a muscle, most likely trying to reach the woman first. Suddenly, in a burst of rose petals, Ruby tackled him out of the way just as the woman shot bright orange flames, destroying the Shikigami, which allowed the ship to quickly fly away before Megumi could regain his bearings.

Seeing that they escaped, Ruby turned her head to see the woman looking at the boy with a curious, but untrustworthy gaze. "You're a Huntress!" she squealed, running to the woman and looking at her with stars in her eyes. "Can I have an autograph?!"

Megumi began to back away, hoping to escape, but he suddenly found himself unable to move. He managed to glance at his body, noticing it was surrounded in a purple aura. He figured it was probably the blonde woman's Cursed Technique, or what people called it, Semblance. He sighed.

Not one hour in this new place and he is already in trouble.

I can pratically hear Gojo-sensei mocking tone...

Just a little prologue chapter so you can get the gist of the story. I at first thought of turning Megumi into a Faunus, a Monkey one to be precise, so that he could have ties to the Six Eared Macaque from a Journey to the West, who has similar powers to Megumi because of the whole Shadow thing. But I scrapped that idea and decided to keep him human, but I might go back to this idea in an omake.

Now, I'm interested to see what you think. There will be more ideas thrown into the mix so you can think, but for now... who would you ship Megumi with here? Do not worry, I already have a person in mind, I'm just interested to see your opinion.
