New Faces.

Shouta Aizawa was tired; more tired than he usually is. His short temper did not go unnoticed by his peers. "Good morning. Let's get this over with, shall we?"

"Oh it's not that bad, Shouta; you're not even teaching today. It's only a half-day anyway." Hizashi Yamada, his old classmate and fellow pro-hero said in that excruciatingly loud voice of his. "It's not like you're gonna do anything anyway besides sit here and complain." He slid over to his friend and slapped him on the back, "So, did you see any interesting future pupils on your way in? The entrance exams are always packed with some serious firepower. Nemuri says she saw a real hothead, but he seems to be pretty confident about himself."

"Confidence doesn't always mean competence. If these kid is strong enough, they'll get in; if not then not." The Eraser Hero was never one for words and he usually kept his conversations short and straight to the point, and Hizashi knew that. That's just how he is. Which was odd when he continued. "I did see something I'm interested in." What? Did he hear that right? The other heads turning towards his friend proved it, even their fellow teachers were surprised. Never in his six years of teaching has Eraserhead ever been interested is anything.

"What do you mean by that, exactly?" Nemuri Kayama, their senior of teaching staff, asked; something of interest on her lips.

"What I said; one of the kids entering is a lot stronger than he seems. I don't think I need to go into much detail being that we will soon be watching them. Unless, of course, Present Mic wants to delay the test any further." Shouta turned to him as if to emphasize who he was directing the final bit towards. Sighing, Hizashi got up to leave; but not before having to hear Nemuri make a comment on it. "A boy? And strong at that. Perhaps he'll want some extra credit after the test." Followed by a series of groans from all the teachers. Thank God he wouldn't have to suffer through that. Though, he wasn't looking forward to hearing a bunch of pencil sounds for half an hour. Oh well, you win some, you loose some.

"Holy shit, this place is huge! So manly!" Eijiro Kirishima, future manliest hero, shouted. And how right he was, UA was a large enough campus to cover more ground than a small city. "I can't believe I made it."

" We made it." Mina punched her friend in the arm. "And what's with this downplay of our skills? We worked our asses off to get here, at least be proud of that. It wouldn't be manly of you to think less of yourself, right?" She knew how to bring him out of that train of thought before it started. Of course she would, they've been best friends since childhood. She knew everything about him, even the more embarrassing things. "So I heard some friends talking about a Uraraka Ochako~ Got anything to say about that?" An evil smirk crept across her face as his face flushed red enough to compete with his hair.

"Wh-what're you talking about?!"

"You've been holding out on me! I should have been first to know as per the unspoken law of best friendship! I declare you guilty, Kirishima Eijiro, of treason and shenanigans!"

"I don't know what you're talking ab-"

"Ei-kun~"

"Shit"

Another girl came running up to them, to the dismay of the boy. Sporting brown hair, big brown eyes, and an even bigger smile, Ochako was the definition of happiness. No wonder Eijiro was tripping over himself. "You're here too!? Oh my God; if we get in, we may be in the same class!" She hugged his arm, causing him to, somehow, get redder. Mina wasn't going to give up this chance.

" Ei-kun?" she said, wiggling her eyebrows, "I didn't know you two got this close. Don't tell me that you were gonna start making out in public. How shameless."

At that, Ochako quickly detached from Eijiro as the two became matching shades of red. The boy spoke up first. "M-M-Mina!"

"W-We're not that close!" the girl quickly affirmed, followed by a whispered, "yet." She hoped Mina hadn't heard that last part, but looking up at the pinkette's smirk said otherwise.

" Yet, huh~"

"Ooohhkay, let's go Chako; I had enough embarrassment for today." Eijiro grabbed the blushing girl's hand and quickly fled the scene. Mina's work here was done. As she turned to leave, some blonde jackass ran into her and practically shoved her out of the way. "Watch where you're going, extra!" what a cunt. As she was preparing herself to kiss the cement, she abruptly stopped. She felt the grasp of someone holding her up and was expecting to see Mr. Grumpy but nope, he was still stomping away. Instead, she looked up to see a normal looking guy. Not just the modern normal either; there was no uniqueness to him other than his decently good looks. No horns adorning his dark green hair; his emerald-green eyes held a slightly golden glint; no markings or scars on his freckled face. His ears weren't pointed, nor his teeth; no protrusions on his jaw or chin. Even his clothes were the definition of bland: a tan hoodie, well-worn jeans, and running shoes. The only thing that caught her eye was the red pendant on his neck; it looked like three eyes with flames surrounding them. As soon as her savior brought her back up to her feet (with surprisingly little effort), he looked to the now far away asshole, before turning back to her, "You should be careful; it is considered bad luck to fall on the first day."

Now that was a voice she did not mind hearing again, and she was going to be sure she would. "Thanks! That guy's a real cunt." She held out her hand, "Nice to meet ya; I'm Ashido Mina, future Acid Hero!" He shook her hand and took a moment to study her. She was used to being looked at; aside from being freaking pink, she was also one of the physically "mature" girls in her high school. This was different tough, as if he was looking inside her, searching. It was odd, but not unwelcome. After a minute, he smiled. "Jahaad; Jahaad Izuku." Jahaad? Sounds foreign; but Izuku is a Japanese name. Maybe there's more to this guy than she thought. "I wish I could speak with you more, Ashido-san, however my sister Endorsi is waiting for me. Good luck at the exams." He turned and silently walked away to the girl who was supposedly his sister. They looked nothing alike, though; her dark brown hair seemed to reflect gold in the sunlight, cut to a short bob. Other than the small horn protruding on the right side, she actually reminded her a lot of that Ochako chick. Her golden eyes and pretty face seemed to glow. Even her style was different; a beautiful yellow sundress and red heels. Her clothes were pleasantly complimented by expensive diamond jewelry. She literally looked like some kind of royalty. The only thing that seemed to be a constant was the red pendant on her neck. Was that some kind of family heirloom? Mina knew of some famous family names that go to UA; the Iida's, Todoroki's, and Yaoyorozu's were all really big names. They were doing the recommendation exams, though, and she never heard of the Jahaad family.

With her interest peeked, she started her way to the auditorium for the boring part of the exams.

Denki Kaminari was not expecting his morning to go like this. First, he woke up to find the clothes he was going to wear in the washer still, making him rush to find new clothes that looked good; style was key. After finally cleaning and dressing up, he walked downstairs to find that he only had 15 minutes to get to UA before the exams start, meaning no breakfast. By the time he got to the auditorium and found a seat, he was half soaked with sweat. How on earth was he going to have enough energy to take part in the practical? And that was if he was even mentally awake enough to do the written test.

"Hey chargebolt!"

Oh. Today may not be so bad after all.

Behind him, the most beautiful girl took a seat and opened up a notebook; probably writing songs like she usually does. "Hey Kyoka!" His spirits now raised with the presence of his childhood crush

"what's new?" He couldn't help but look at her as she spoke; she was the complete definition of cute. And purple, he supposed; purple hair, dark purple eyes, purple lipstick. He took his time on the last one, watching them move as she talked. What a pretty voice; coming from pretty lips, on a pretty fac-

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Huh? What? Yeah, why?" He flushed, he got caught. Again.

"That's funny, because I was just saying how the teacher is on the podium and you should turn around."

"Oh." No. "Right." Shit! "Yeah, sorry." He reluctantly turned around to see the greatest hero of all time. "Oh my God; it's freakin' Present Mic!" While Kyoka Jirou was easily his favorite person of all time, Present Mic was easily his favorite hero.

"Hello everybody!!!!"

"Yeah!!" Denki looked around. Everyone was staring at him. He buried his flushed face into his arms, hoping they'll just forget he existed. Kyoka pat his back to hopefully calm him down.

"Tough crowd. Anyway, we will now commence the written exam!!!" Ah, right, that. He grabbed his pencil and started marking answers. A; D; B; E; B; A; C… How many more questions were there? He flipped the packet over; 150. Well ain't that just swell. C; B; A; E; D; A; C… After what felt like an eternity, he finally closed the packet and turned it in to the proctor, heading out to site… he looked at the card; B. Cool. He wished Kyoka good luck as he started mentally preparing. Looking around at the competition, he noticed some really unique contestants; some guy with six arms, a lot of guys with wings, a pink girl with horns. He finally layer eyes on some girl with a sundress and freaking heels. Who did this girl think she was, Cinderella? This wasn't no beauty pageant. After doing some arm stretching, she took off her heels and put them in some kind of pocketed dimension, along with her dress that covered a very tight set of workout clothes. Well that's a neat quirk. I bit odd to be running barefooted, though. Was her quirk some kind of touch-sensitive thing? It didn't make any sense, but he wasn't one to judge; she seemed smart enough to hold her own. And while she didn't look to have much strength, she more than made up for it in flexibility. Like, just looking at her movements made him hurt; how is her body even capable of doing that?!

Whatever, he had his own stuff to worry about. He promised himself that he'd confess to Kyoka. If that didn't have him nervous already, the looming gates for the test site sure didn't help; what were that going to be fighting, anyway? He didn't really pay attention much to what Present Mic said about the practical; something, something, robots? He was too busy watching his purple-haired crush drawing in her notebook. She was good a drawing. He missed her; he wished she was here to help him focus.

The sound of alarms rang in his ears as his attention was pulled to the large gate. Flashing yellow lights giving extra warning as the looming structure lowered into the ground. It took a moment for it to register in their heads that the test had started. Most of the contestants just stood there, even after the gate lowered completely, waiting for some kind of verbal command to start. Denki decided to take this opportunity and bolted past the rest, triggering everybody else to follow; it reminded him of sheep. He didn't seem to be the only one with determination, though, as the first section he got to was already handled. The barefooted girl, who was now holding some kind of big green hook, was standing on top of the pile of robots. As another one went to attack, she swung with a large arch, the hook growing bigger. Within one motion, the robot was cut in half, one of which slid over to where Denki was standing. When she noticed him, she quickly retracted her weapon and bowed toward him respectfully before leaving. Who was this girl? There's no way her quirk was multidimensional-related with her swinging that hook so easily; perhaps strength? But the hook moved like it was alive, maybe she had a living quirk? They're not common but still exist; hell there was a bird-dude who had a living shadow.

The sounds of more robots incoming reminded him that there was still a test to finish and he only had… 5 points. Great.

Good luck Kyoka.

He rushed into the fight with new found determination.
