1. Prologue

So, this is my first attempt at writing fanfiction…so I hope you enjoy it.

Prologue

Tonight the streets of the Hidden Leaf Village were busy and filled with townspeople, merchants and shinobis alike. Shinobi was either celebrating and drinking after a good mission or hopping across the roofs of the buildings as a quick way to head home for a good night's rest while civilians were doing a multitude of things, like dining, hanging out with their friends or hurriedly shopping.

There was a place behind the Hokage Monument, blocked off by a dangerous red barrier. The outside of the building was filled with ANBU stationed in various locations. A loud shout of an angered woman in pain echoed out from the inside.

"MINATO I'M GOING TO KILL YOU AFTER THIS!"

The source of the scream was a fair-skinned woman with violet eyes. She had blood red hair that reached her ankles and two shoulder-length bangs that framed her round face partnered with a black clip which she used to part her hair to left, keeping it out of her face. Her attire consisted of a high collared sleeveless blouse, which highlighted her D cup bust, under a loose-fitting green dress, in this event however, the upper end was currently being lowered and her blouse was raised slightly upwards to access her stomach. On her arm was a blue wristband and on her feet was a pair of violet shinobi sandals. This woman was Uzumaki Kushina, the Konoha no Akai no Shi (Red Death of the Leaf) and one of the last surviving members of the Uzumaki clan.

She was currently staring at a man whose hands was over her exposed stomach. He had spiky blond hair with two jaw length bangs framing his face and blue eyes. His attire was a blue long sleeved shinobi shirt and blue shinobi pants. There were also two red swirls that resembled whirlpools on each of his arm sleeves. This man was Namikaze Minato, the Konoha no Kiiroi Senkō (Konoha's Yellow Flash) and the Yondaime Hokage (The Fourth Hokage) of the Hidden Leaf.

"C-calm down Kushina-chan, you don't want to hurt the baby." Minato replied with a nervous smile and a dark glint in his eyes which he hid fairly well as he focused on keeping the seal on her stomach stable.

"He's right Kushina. Calm down and continue to push, the baby is almost out." The voice of a woman that appeared to be in her early 50's was heard in the room. She had brown hair held up in a ponytail and dark eyes. Her clothing consisted of a purple kimono-like dress with a white haori and shinobi sandals. The woman was Sarutobi Biwako, the wife of the Sandaime Hokage. Biwako along with a team of skilled nurses was assigned with the task of helping with the delivery of the child of Minato and Kushina. "I know you're in pain as I have been through it many times, but for the sake of the baby please calm down!" Biwako stated in a serious tone,

After a few minutes the wails of a new-born baby echoed throughout the room. Biwako took the child to be washed and later came back with a blue bundle in her hands. Minato tried to take the baby, but Biwako quickly slapped his hand away and stared at him with a sharp look in her eyes. "The mother will see the child first, then the father," she stated in a tone filled with finality. "Here you go Kushina." Biwako handed the bundle to an exhausted Kushina who gleamed with joy as she sat up on the bed she was on.

"Naruto…my sweet baby boy, I've waited so long to meet you and see your face." Kushina shed tears of joy as she looked at her son. Naruto had a round face, violet eyes, and short red hair, which was spiky like his father's. The most prominent feature he had was the three whisker marks on each of his cheeks. Naruto looked up at his mother curiously and started to giggle as he stared into eyes that were like his. Kushina brought Naruto closer to her face and kissed him on the forehead. As Minato came over to see his son, he too was also visibly excited.

"He looks just like you, Kushina-chan." Minato stated as he stared at his son with a soft smile. Naruto glanced over to his father for a while but quickly dismissed him, instead, favouring to look at his mother. Minato seeing this, frowned a little but it went unnoticed by anyone.

Biwako took Naruto from his overly joyous mother, who didn't seem so happy as she wanted to hold him longer. "Alright Kushina you get some rest after Minato closes your seal. I'm going to take Naruto and do some basic tests on him to see if he is health-" she suddenly stopped mid-sentence as blood began seeping from her mouth and a red stain was noticeable where her heart was located.

Behind Biwako stood a cloaked man with a yellowish-orange mask patterned with a black flame pattern, and in his right hand was a kunai which he held to the crying baby's neck. "Step away from the jinchuriki or this child will die at the ripe age of only a few minutes old. "The man said with his voice being very deep and monotone. Both Minato and Kushina were panicking as their child was in the hands of an unknown person.

'Damn it…he has the weapon, I can't let this get out of hand,' Minato internally panicked as he assessed the situation. "H-hey now let's all just calm down and talk this out." He tried to choose the peaceful route of the situation but unfortunately the Masked Man wasn't willing to choose the same.

"I'm very calm Yondaime, the question is…are you?" The cloaked man stated as he suddenly threw Naruto into the air in which Minato responded rapidly by using his Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique) to teleport to the ceiling and catch his so-called 'weapon'. As he had Naruto secured, a familiar hissing sound was heard throughout the room. Once the blond-haired man opened the blanket he saw something that made him panic more.

'Explosive tags?!This guy is insane!' He thought as he fell from the ceiling and quickly removed the blanket from around Naruto and teleported to his nearest Hiraishin Kunai.

"NARUTO!" The ear deafening cry of Kushina was the last thing Minato heard before he disappeared in his signature yellow flash.

Safe House

A yellow flash of light shone through a large room indicating Minato's presence. He quickly dashed over to the crib like bed and placed the sleeping Naruto within it. He watched the baby as he slept with a deep frown on his face.

'This wasn't supposed to happen…and who was that man...?' As he pondered his original frown turned into a dark smirk. 'No worries, this just helps make our plan easier to carry out. Soon sensei will be here and we shall begin the next stage of the operation.'

With his plan now readjusted and his weapon secured, Minato left to retrieve his 'beloved wife'.

Random Forest

Kushina was not having a good night at all. Her son was almost killed only moments after he was born and was taken away by her 'husband' to kami knows where. The masked man, who apparently was an Uchiha, had taken her to a forest where he proceeded to bind her with a sealing array and began the extraction of the Kyuubi from within her. Now she was on the floor exhausted and trying to figure out why the chakra signature of the masked uchiha was so familiar.

"You're still alive after the extraction? The Uzumaki clan's regenerative abilities are indeed impressive. But I suppose it is fitting for the tenant to kill the warden that kept him locked away for many years, don't you think?" The Masked Uchiha stated with a hint of amusement within his voice as he mentally commanded the giant fox towering behind him.

Having no choice in the matter, the Kyuubi raised its arm in the air in preparation to kill its former container. As the hand came crashing down a yellow flash appeared on a tree a few meters away from where the clawed arm landed. Minato, holding a tired Kushina, bridal style, was now staring at the masked shinobi with a calculative eye before disappearing once again.

The Uchiha just stared at the spot for a while before turning around and staring at the Kyuubi. "Oh well, onto bigger and better things." The cloaked ninja muttered dismissively as he began to disappear in the swirling vortex that originated from his eye.

Konoha

An unsettling feeling fell across the village which disturbed all the babies and had all the shinobi on guard instantly.

A swirling vortex appeared in front of an abandoned apartment complex and the masked uchiha appeared from the dead centre of it. "It's time to begin the chaos," was all the cloaked man said before he sped through hand seals which ended on ram, "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" The Sharingan user slammed his palm on the floor in front of him.

POOF

A cloud of smoke consumed the vast field and standing in the centre was the extracted giant reddish-orange fox, Kyuubi no Kitsune. It let out a mighty roar as it began it rampage, destroying all the nearby buildings and killing anyone in range of its tails.

Civilians began to run away from the general vicinity of the towering fox while shinobi began to fire jutsu at the Bijuu in hopes to buy time for their comrades to evacuate the civilians and their leader to arrive and deal with the demon that was currently having a field day within the place they call home.

This only aggravated the beast even more, resulting in the kitsune turning its attention to them. It opened its jaw and started to charge a bijuudama but was stopped by a large staff slamming into its stomach and pushing it further away from any areas with civilians.

The source of the staff was a man who appeared to be in his early 50's. He wore a black jumpsuit with mesh segments over the lower portion of his limbs and a green gauntlet that covered most of his right arm. On his head, he wore an armoured hood with a headband in a bandanna-style tied with two long straps. The kanji for fire was written across the back of his jumpsuit. This man was Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Sandaime Hokage.

The appearance of the former fire shadow made many of the shinobi present shout in relief.

"ITS SANDAIME~SAMA!"

"WE'RE SAVED!"

"THE NINE TAILS WILL BE DEFEATED!"

"Don't celebrate yet!" Hiruzen ordered as he held Enma, the boss of the monkey summoning clan, firmly as the Kyuubi was slammed into one of the walls surrounding the village. "We need to continue to hold off the fox until Minato arrives!" Battle cries were the response Sarutobi got as the Leaf Ninjas ran towards the Demon Fox with determination to stall it as long as possible.

Hiruzen however was staring at the Kyuubi with a sinister smirk plastered on his face. 'While this does change our plans, a few additions wouldn't hurt.' He mused as he headed towards the battle that would surely be forever remembered in the history of Konoha.

SAFE HOUSE

Minato reappeared with the exhausted Kushina in his arms and walked over to the bed where Naruto was sleeping without a care in the world. He gently put his 'wife' down next his 'son' and quickly reassessed the current, though he was interrupted by the sound of Kushina's soft voice. "How...? How did it go so wrong…?"The Uzumaki Matriarch asked as she held her son's sleeping form close to her.

"Never mind how, just stay here and protect Naruto." Minato answered in a serious tone as he fastened the thin orange rope of a short-sleeved white haori with a red flame pattern adorning the bottom of it. The kanji for "Yondaime Hokage" was written vertically down the back. "I'll be back before you know it."

"Thank you, Minato and good luck." The redhead woman wished him before he left. Once she confirmed she was alone with Naruto, Kushina's expression changed into a serious one as she sat up and made a cross hand seal. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" A clone of the woman appeared next to bed, mirroring the expression of the original. "You know what to do.." Was all the orders the duplicate needed before it disappeared in a Mizu Shunshin.

Kushina picked up her new-born look alike and gently rocked him in her arms as he slept with a peaceful expression on his face. "No matter what happens, sochi, kaa~chan will always love you." The redhead mother whispered to her redhead bundle of joy as she sat in silence.

Konoha

The war raged on as the shinobi fired numerous jutsu at the towering beast that appeared in the place they swore to protect. Though it was all for nought as the fox swipes one of it tails at them, effectively killing some of their comrades who couldn't escape.

The Fox then turned its attention to the Hokage Monument where on top of the last stone face on the mountain, stood Minato with his signature tri-pronged kunai in hand. The giant fox and the current fire shadow had a short stare down before the yellow haired man smirked.

"Remember me buddy?" The man asked but a violent growl was the answer he received. "Guess not..."

The Kyuubi once again opened its jaw and chakra began to form into a huge purple orb in which the beast quickly consumed without a moment to waste. Steam seeped out its mouth as the orb it swallowed before was shot out, flying towards its intended target, Minato.

The Yellow Flash only held his hands out, and shortly after a large seal array appeared in front of him, which teleported the bijuudama away from the village. A few seconds later, a large explosion was heard a few miles away from the village. The Kyuubi was not happy that it's attack was stopped and began to charge another bomb but was once again stopped by a staff forcing his jaw close.

Just as Minato was about to teleport to the battlefield, he sensed an unknown presence behind him. He swiftly spun the balls of his feet and held his kunai in a reverse grip to stab the person behind him. But to his surprise his hand went through him. The unknown presence was the masked man, who gripped the hand that passed through him just a few seconds ago tightly and once again created a swirling vortex that began to swallow the spiky haired man within it but was unsuccessful as the young kage disappeared in his signature yellow flash.

Random Forest

Minato reappeared next to a kunai he had placed there an hour earlier. He stood still as he quickly analysed the masked intruder. 'My hand just slipped right through him, then once it was out he became solid and started teleporting me away to some type of dimension…just what type of jutsu was that?' His chain of thought was interrupted by the sound of wind warping around behind him.

He quickly spun around to see the cloaked man standing there with his sharingan spinning slowly. The yellow haired man stared at his opponent as he pieced together the current information he had at his disposal. 'He can use jikūkan ninjutsu (space-time ninjutsu) as well? Was that how he was able to move Kushina so quickly...? He also defeated the anbu under the command of Sandaime~sama, got through our most powerful top-secret barrier we have, and must be aware that Kushina's seal would be weak during childbirth. With the seal broken he then took the Kyuubi and headed straight for Konoha, not even bothering to deal with the barrier. Not to mention he possesses the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan.'

Minato only had one question after putting the pieces together, "Are you Uchiha Madara?" The Uchiha only took off his hood in response,

revealing his black, spiky, mid-back length hair but the young kage concluded. "No, that's not the case…he's long dead." Minato stated confidently.

"Oh, I wouldn't be sure about that." The masked sharingan user muttered. He received a questioning gaze from the kage in front of him.

"It doesn't matter if you're Madara or not, why are you attacking Konoha?"

"I could say I did it on a whim or because…it's entertaining. It's part of my plan; to start a war to bring peace." The mysterious man answered seriously.

Minato narrowed his eyes; his thoughts once again were about his opponent. 'Whoever he is, he is incredible. He can control the fox, wields a powerful jikūkan ninjutsu and he clearly has evil intentions. If I leave to assist on the battlefield, he would only follow me and create more problems. The only choice is to kill him and maybe I can get his eyes...'

"Now that I have freed the nine tails, there is no hope for any of you!" The man yelled, successfully knocking Minato out of his thoughts.

The Masked Uchiha, who now had a long chain cuffed to his wrists, charged at Minato. The Yellow Flash met his charge and went for a stab with his kunai, but it was unsuccessful as it simply phased through him. The mystery man swiftly pulled his right hand forward, effectively wrapping the chain around Minato but the kage quickly teleported to his kunai, securing his escape.

'His flesh..., no physical attack will work on him, but he materializes to attack me. This means I can only attack him when we both strike blows... but his risk lies during the moment of attack. He doesn't seem to want a long battle either, considering the time remaining on the Kyuubi's Summoning Jutsu. So, the one who attacks faster, will win the match!' Minato summarized as he ran towards the mystery man.

The Uchiha also ran towards the young kage with his chains behind him. As they drew closer, Minato threw his kunai with his left hand, which went through the so-called Madara's head. The cloaked shinobi raised his hand to grab his opponent, who charged a spiralling ball of chakra in right palm.

'I win.' The Masked Man thought arrogantly. Just as he was to grab the kage, Minato disappeared in his signature yellow flash and reappeared above him, with the kunai he threw in hand. He quickly turned his body around and slammed the ball of chakra into the Uchiha's back.

"URGH!" The mystery man screaming out in pain as his opponent's jutsu dug into his back. 'Dammit! He teleported to the kunai he threw earlier!' The cloaked ninja thought as the attack continued to grind him into the ground.

"That was Hiraishin Ni no Dan (Flying Thunder God-Second Step)." Minato stated as the floor beneath them exploded, scattering debris everywhere and covering the area in a cloud of smoke. Once the Jutsu ended, Minato quickly added a seal to the back of the masked uchiha.

The cloaked ninja leaped out of the smoke cloud and onto a piece of rock. He held his left arm as he panted heavily. A white substance seeped out from his sleeve and his palm disconnected from the rest of his arm. Minato stood a few meters away from him with his haori fluttering in the wind.

"You...got me. "The masked shinobi stated with a pant. "I shouldn't have let my guard down...URGH!"A yellow flash of light assaulted his eyes as he felt a pain in his stomach. 'Hiraishin no Jutsu! So, he marked my body somewhere…Huh?!A contract seal?!' He was brought out of his pondering state as an array of seals covered his torso. 'Does he intend to separate the nine tails from me?'

"With this, your contract with the Kyuubi ends!" Minato declared. 'And it's now mine! KuKuKuKu!' He thought with glee.

KONOHA

Back on the battlefield the Demon Fox let out a loud roar as the pattern in its eyes changed from the three tomoe sharingan to its regular slitted pupils. It continued to release ear shattering roars as its tails swayed around wildly. Its right arm swiped at the buildings in front of it, sending debris, shinobi, and civilians, who were trapped in their houses, flying away.

Its rampage was short lived as Hiruzen once again embedded Enma into its stomach, only this time, sending it through the wall and outside of the Village. "The Kyuubi is now out of the village! Keep it distracted longer!" Sarutobi ordered. All the shinobi and anbu present quickly charged after the ginormous fox and proceeded to launch everything they had at it.

RANDOM FOREST

The masked intruder once leaped back but this time he landed on a branch of a tree. "I will give you this Yondaime…you managed to wound me and retake Kyuubi." He commended the kage in front of him. He reactivated his sharingan and began to warp himself away in a black vortex. "However the fox will be mine eventually…I will rule this world and there are many ways I can do that." Those were the parting words of the self-proclaimed Madara left for the Yondaime as he completely disappeared.

'That tone…he's not messing around.' The yellow flash thought to himself warily as he stared at the spot where the masked man previously was.

OUTSIDE KONOHA WALLS

"COME ON!JUST A LITTLE LONGER TILL YONDAIME~SAMA ARRIVES!" Screamed a random shinobi as he along with his comrades fought with all their might against the Demonic Fox. This only annoyed the fox more and it began to charge another Bijuudama.

This was the scene Minato arrived to witness. 'This is awful...'He pondered worriedly.

"Is he really going to use that again?!"Hiruzen murmured to himself as he used his staff to hold himself up.

"KUCHIYOSE NO JUTSU!" Echoed throughout the area as a large toad landed on the giant fox. The toad was a dull, rusty red colour. Around his eyes, on lips and chest were markings in a brighter shade of red. He had a noticeable scar on his left eye and kiseru pipe in his mouth. He wore a large blue happi vest and carried a massive dosu blade. This was Gamabunta, the Yondaime Hokage's personal summons and the Chief of the Toad Summoning clan.

"IT'S YONDAIME~SAMA!"One of the shinobi in the area shouted.

"Hold the fox down for a while Bunta!" Minato shouted as he began to channel chakra. 'I'm going to need a lot of chakra to transport something this big!'

"That's not going to be easy…even for me!" Bunta replied as he held the giant fox down.

The Kyuubi was angered more by this and began to create a Bijuudama. Before the Bijuu could launch its attack, it suddenly vanished along with Minato, leaving only the toad chief behind.

"Minato?!Did he teleport away with the Kyuubi?" Hiruzen questioned himself. A bright light shone from his left, signalling the bijuudama exploding. "So, he's over there!" He stated as all ninja present watched the explosion in the distance.

MINATO AND KYUUBI

Smoke consumed the area as Minato placed Kushina down in front of him. 'I need to put a barrier!' He thought with urgency.

Before he could do anything, golden chains shot out of Kushina's back and dug into the ground behind her. The chains re-emerged in the area around the fox and wrapped itself around the towering beast and created a barrier around them. Kushina began coughing blood and panting as the stress of giving birth began to kick in.

"UWAAA!" Naruto began to cry in Minato's arms as he was woken up by the Kyuubi growling and the chains rattling.

"Kushina!" Minato yelled in alarm. 'At least she's good for something...' He mused internally.

"Sorry... Naruto... I didn't mean to wake you." Kushina apologized to her bundle of joy between pants.

"Kushina…"Minato said in false concern, unaware of what is about to transpire.

"I'll drag the Kyuubi with me to death. This way, we can delay the revival of the Nine Tails. I will be able to save you both with what little amount of chakra I have left in my body. Thank you for everything." She stated with a sad smile as she gazed at her son. Naruto gazed back, sniffling with tears in his eyes.

'No! I can't let her do that!' Minato internally shouted as he slowly began to panic. "Kushina…you made me a father; you made me the Yondaime Hokage, and you made me your husband. And yet-"He was interrupted by Kushina's soft voice.

"Don't give me that look, Minato. I'm happy you loved me, happy that... it's our son's birthday. My only regret is not seeing him grow up." She whispered out as she stared at her redhead baby.

This made Minato panic even more, but he quickly composed himself. "Kushina…there is no need to die with the Kyuubi…preserve your remaining chakra a reunion with Naruto." This got Kushina's attention as her gaze left her baby and went to her husband. 'Good! Just a little more convincing... 'He thought with hope as he continued his plan. "I will seal your remaining chakra within Naruto. It will be part of the Hakke no Fūin Shiki. I will then take the Kyuubi with me with the only seal I can do since I'm not a Jinchuriki, Shiki Fūjin!"

Kushina's eyes widened in false surprise. "But the person that uses that jutsu-"

"And one more thing, I will only be sealing half of the Kyuubi. Sealing something as great as the Kyuubi is physically impossible. It's also strategically unwise." Minato continued despite interrupting her. "Besides, if you take the Nine Tails with you when you die, there won't be a jinchuriki around when it re-emerges which will cause an upset in the balance of power between the Bijuus. The Shiki Fūjin will seal half of the Kyuubi within Naruto and the other half…"He drawled out, "With me. "He lied smoothly as he placed Naruto down and ran through a chain of seals. "SHIKI FŪJIN!" Behind him a translucent being with a demonic visage appeared. It had long, shaggy white hair; from which two red horns protruded. Its skin was a pale purple colour which was covered by a large white kimono. It carried a set of pray beads in its left hand and a tantō in its mouth. The spectral being was the Shinigami, The God of Dead.

"NO! Absolutely not, Minato! He is our child, that's why I don't want him to have this burden…my burden as his own!" She yelled with anger. Minato looked at her with shock. "But why…why the Shiki Fūjin?!You don't need to die as well, just so I can see him for a few minutes when he's older!I wanted you to raise and protect him! So why... WHY ARE YOU SACRIFICING NARUTO?!" Kushina snapped, "AND FOR WHAT?!THE BALANCE OF BIJUU?!" She yelled at him.

Minato looked surprised but then narrowed his eyes and spoke in a serious tone, "Betraying your country is just as bad as abandoning your child…you should know as your country crumbled to the ground. You know the pain of growing up alone! And we are a shinobi family!The job always has the risk of death!"

Kushina was pissed. "Don't you dare bring Uzushiogakure into this Minato... "She stated with venom lacing her tone, "They only fought so that the new generation could escape! The one thing we Uzumaki value above anything is family! Village or County be damned to the deepest pit of hell, it's just a bunch of buildings! Unlike buildings, people's lives can't be returned. You think this will be Naruto's home if he's a jinchuriki? They will hate him, abuse him, and torment him till he dies! I wasn't treated like that because nobody knew! This situation is different, people died, and the village is partially destroyed. The villagers will find out he's the jinchuriki and call for his blood!" She exclaimed with malice.

Minato only smiled softly as he stared at the redhead woman in front of him. "I can never be a substitute mother; things Naruto need to be taught would require you to-"

"Don't you dare change the subject! This is not about Naruto!" Kushina stated firmly as she stared into the eyes of the young kage facing her. "Tell me the truth Minato. Do put the village above your own family?" She inquired.

"Yes." Minato responded without a pause, "The Village of Konohagakure no Sato is the most important thing to me, and we need powerful weapons!" He stated firmly. A few seconds after a yellow flash of light shone throughout the area. Standing where the light came from was the clone of Minato, that dispelled after it completed its purpose, and another person, who appeared to be holding a pink bundle within their hands.

The person was a tall and well-built man with fair skin. He had spiky, waist-length, white hair that was tied back into a ponytail while two shoulder-length bangs framed his face. There were two red lines, that reached halfway down his face, underneath his black eyes. His attire consisted of a short, green kimono shirt with matching pants, which his mesh armour he wore underneath was seen ending at his wrists and ankles. On his feet were red wooden sandals and around his waist was a black belt. Green handguards adorned his hands and a red haori with two yellow circles on each side was wore over his shirt. His most prominent features were the horned forehead protector that the kanji for "oil" written on it and the large scroll on his back. He was Jiraiya of the Densetsu no Sannin.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" Minato shouted as two altars appeared in front of him. Jiraiya proceeded to place the bundle in his hands on the right altar while Minato placed Naruto on the left. Kushina could only watch as her child was about to be sacrificed for a place that will torment him for the rest of his life.

"Shinigami~sama! I need to split the Kyuubi into two! The yang chakra for the boy and ying chakra for the girl!" He asked the spectral figure behind him. The God only raised its hand, which now had black markings on it and the prayer beads wrapped around it, and sent it through Minato's soul and chest. The pale hand attached itself to the hand of Kyuubi and ripped the ying half of the chakra out of it.

"Fūin!" Shouted the young kage as the chakra was sealed into the pink bundle.

'Damn you Yondaime!'Thought the demonic fox as it was now half its original size, which prompted the chains that held it to become loose. Kushina began coughing heavily once again which prompted Minato to turn his attention to her. 'NOW!'The giant fox screamed internally as it reared back its clawed hand to kill Naruto and prevent itself from being sealed into another baby.

Squelch

The sound of the flesh being pierced was heard throughout the entire area. The claw that was intended to kill Naruto was now sticking out of the stomachs of both Minato and Kushina.

"Minato!" Jiraiya yelled in alarm as he ran towards his student, who he considered a son, that was currently pierced by the fox they were meant to seal.

"Don't worry Jiraiya~Sensei, I'm fine." The yellow haired man stated as he placed some blood on his palm did a few handseals. "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He stretched out to the side and a small cloud of smoke consumed the area. Once it cleared, a black and orange toad appeared. It had black markings around its eyes, mouth, and a circular mark just below his mouth. This was Gerotora, a scroll toad.

"Huh?!Kyuubi?! Yondaime~sama and Jiraiya~sama too?!What the hell is going on?!"He questioned after doing a quick survey of his surroundings.

"Gerotora, I'm entrusting you with the key to the sealing formula. Once I'm finished you are to take it along with Jiraiya~Sensei and the weapon back to Mt. Myōboku." The toad nodded and his abdomen extended and opened, revealing a blank scroll. Once the Key was secured, Gerotora reverse summoned himself, Jiraiya and the pink bundle, which was opened enough to reveal a baby girl with white hair sleeping quietly, back ōboku.

OUTSIDE THE BARRIER

Hiruzen along with two other shinobi arrived outside the barrier only to see the Kyuubi's claw piercing Minato and Kushina along with a redhead baby on an altar.

"What is Yondaime~sama doing?" The shinobi on the right asked Sarutobi as they could only watch the current situation unfold.

"He is making his own child into a jinchuriki." The old monkey replied as he ran over the details at his disposal. 'Judging by the size of the fox, Minato used Shiki Fūjin to seal the ying chakra into one of our weapons but got impaled protecting the other.' He concluded as he observed the inaudible conversation within the barrier.

INSIDE THE BARRIER

Kushina, who had been quiet the whole time, was now ready to voice her thoughts. "So that was her daughter…I didn't even know she was pregnant until a few months ago. "She muttered as she looked at her son, refusing to look anywhere else.

Minato was surprised that his so-called wife knew who the child was and even more so who her mother was. "H-how did you find out?!"He demanded as the child's identity and her mother's wasn't supposed to be known by anyone.

"You know, for a kage you're not good at keeping secret files and information hidden." The former jinchuriki replied, which triggered many warnings within Minato's mind.

"What secret files are you talking about?" He tried to play it cool, hoping that the woman in front of him was just messing with him. Unfortunately, she wasn't.

"Don't play dumb with me." Kushina stated with an emotionless tone. "I know about the plan you, Jiraiya and Sarutobi made." She responded in a disgusted tone.

Minato just gave her an arrogant smirk. "So what? What can you really do to change them?" He inquired with the smirk still adorning his face.

"Nothing." She responded without a care. Minato was flabbergasted that she said that without a care in the world. Kushina kept her eyes on Naruto as she told him her next statement. "After all, every action has a reaction."

"Enough of this, now it's time to seal the other half of the Kyuubi." The yellow haired man stated as he brushed off the words of his so-called wife, even though it continuously echoed throughout his mind. "Fūin!"The young kage bellowed as the fox behind them was once again sealed into another infant.

Once the deed was done, both Minato and Kushina collapsed to the ground on either side of Naruto. The redhead mother used the last bit of strength she had left to sit herself up and keep the barrier up a little longer. She picked her son, who woke up after the fox was sealed within him and cradled him in her arms.

"Naruto, I don't have much time left so please listen, okay?" She inquired softly to the most precious person she had. The small violet eyes staring at her was the response she got and took it as a sign to continue. "Don't be a fussy eater, eat a lot and become a big and powerful man. Take your bath everyday and go to bed early and sleep well. Make some friends, the amount doesn't matter but remember not to trust many people as this place will deceive you and hurt you. You will find the Uzumaki compound that was built here one day and find different types of things stored there. Once you do, remember to learn your Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu and most importantly your Fūinjutsu. Don't bother paying attention to the academy as they will sabotage your learning. As for girls, don't pick one that only wants you for the riches the Uzumaki clan possesses, pick one that will be by your side when you're at your best and worst. You're going to suffer a lot of pain due to the burden your father had placed on you but don't forget who you are and find a dream or two to accomplish. There is so much more I want to say…but time isn't on my side." She whispered as she kissed his forehead and tried to hold back her tears. "Naru~chan, just remember that kaa~chan will always love you, okay?" Kushina told him as she began to cry. Naruto also began to cry, as if he understood that his mother was about to die. The barrier around the area fell and Sarutobi and the shinobi with him rushed over to the mother and her child.

The only thing that greeted the former Hokage was the corpse of his successor and a crying baby within the protective embrace of his mother's corpse.

Council Chambers

The sound of the doors opening attracted the attention of everyone present. Hiruzen slowly entered the room with Naruto, who fell asleep after crying for fifteen minutes. Once he arrived at the Hokage's seat he sat down and placed Naruto in a crib that he ordered an Anbu to bring.

"Where is Yondaime~sama?" A man whose eyes were obscured by dark glasses with a tassel hanging from one side of it asked the question that everyone wanted to know. He had short, spiky black hair and a moustache. His attire consisted of a high collared beige shirt, brown shinobi pants and black shinobi sandals. His name was Aburame Shibi, the current head of the Aburame Clan.

"Well, Shibi, seeing as he isn't here something troublesome must have happened to him and is probably the reason why Sandaime~sama is here." A man with spiky black hair, which was pulled back into a high ponytail which resembled a pineapple, responded to Shibi. He wore the standard Konoha shinobi uniform with a deer skin coat over his flak jacket and handguards on his arms. His most prominent features were his goatee and the two scars on the right side of his face. This was Konoha's Jōnin Commander and the head of the Nara Clan, Nara Shikaku.

"Shikaku is correct, something has happened to Minato." The old monkey answered. This led to the council, mainly the elders and civilians, to simultaneously question Sarutobi about what happened to their leader. Sarutobi only rubbed his temples, internally wishing that he had his trusty pipe with him.

"SILENCE!" He bellowed, having had enough. Once both civilians and elders calmed down, he continued. "As you all know, the Kyuubi appeared out of nowhere and attacked the village, causing many casualties and damage. Numerous shinobi held off the fox until Minato arrived. Once he did, the Kyuubi was about to release a bijuudama, but Minato transported the beast and himself away from the village." He paused to take a breath before continuing once more. "He proceeded to grab an orphan that was born only a few hours ago and sealed the Kyuubi with him using the Shiki Fūjin, which cost him his life." Sarutobi paused to pick up the new-born from the crib behind him. "He sealed the fox into this orphan, Uzumaki Naruto!" He finished and mentally counted down for what was about to happen next.

Once again, the chambers were filled with the screams and shouts of the civilian council, who demanded that they kill the demon to avenge their beloved leader. Sarutobi could help but chuckle internally as everything was going according to plan despite the changes that occurred. 'Yes...hate him. Break him to the point that he is only loyal to Konoha kukuku.'

"Silence, you fools!" Hiruzen demanded once more. "He is not a demon! Minato wished for him to be seen as a hero!" His previous statement was all for naught as another outage echoed through the room. A wave of killing intent flooded the room, silencing everyone and drawing their attention to the old monkey. "Now that I have your undivided attention, some laws will be placed." He stated and received nods in return. "This will now be a S-ranked secret, the cover up story will be that Minato killed the Kyuubi at the cost of his life. Secondly no harm is to come to the boy. Both are punishable by death if they are not followed, am I clear?" Everyone present only nodded as the wave of killing intent was still present.

"Hiruzen," a man who had bandages around his right eye, called out, gaining the attention of the Sandaime. "I think I should be allowed to train the boy. I could make him into the ideal weapon for Konoha."

"No Danzo, he will not be a weapon. He is a child and nothing more, am I understood?" The now named Danzo muttered a soft 'hai' in response. "Now if that is all you are dismissed." The old monkey stated and one by one everyone left the chambers, leaving only Danzo, Naruto and Hiruzen within the room. "It is a shame what happened to Minato, but the plan must continue. Danzo... I believe you know what must happen next?" Sarutobi asked as a dark smirk adorned his face.

"Indeed, I do Hiruzen." Danzo replied as he mirrored the dark smirk that was plastered on his rival's face. "Hawk!" He bellowed as an Anbu wearing a black cloak and a hawk mask appeared kneeling in front of him. The most distinguishing feature about him is the kanji of 'root' that was carved into the top of the mask." Commence Operation-Loyal Kyuubi immediately!" The old war hawk ordered.

"Hai Danzo~sama!" Hawk answered and left via Shunshin.

Hiruzen picked up the sleeping Naruto and left the chambers to place the weapon within his hands in an orphanage, where his suffering will begin.
