Author's Note: Here is Anne. This is another newbie who came to us during the Christmas special. Who is she and why does she keep following Miranda around? There is still so much that I want to do with some of these angels. I will try and figure it out. We have four more weeks until the season is over. I know what I will be doing for the rest of the season. There are still going to be more angels you are going to see. There might even be a canon character that I haven't added until this point. You will have to stick around and see. For now, enjoy this week's halo.

Key Twenty-One: Anne:

"There's nothing wrong with me. There's nothing wrong with me."

They don't remember her ever showing up. She was just there and no one questioned it. Well, almost no one.

Miranda doesn't understand why Anne keeps popping up around her. The German angel found it rather… rather…unnerving. She just popped up out of nowhere. No one questioned it. In fact, everyone found it normal. That couldn't be right.

There's nothing wrong. Everything is fine.

No one in the Japan branch knows where Anne works. She didn't even have a file at first. Yeah, about that.

An administrator at the head council sat confused.

"That can't be right," they said. Before, there was no information on Anne. But now there was a profile. Bare bones, though. All they had was her name and a strange country that no one had heard of. A little bit about her looks. However, there was nothing left. Where did this profile come from? Who added this profile? There was a short investigation but it went nowhere. And nobody asked any more questions about that. How was that even possible?

Everything is fine. I am going to be fine.

Even Anne doesn't have any answers. She doesn't remember anything about being human. That itself isn't uncommon. Most angels lose memories of being human once they are turned. It's rare that they remember everything. So why is Anne any different? Well, some angels do get their memories back over time. Some are little fragments. Some little episodes. A few a long string of memories. It takes time, but the memories do come back. Maybe not all of them, but they do come back. However, Anne can't remember anything. And they don't know how long it's been.

"You still can't remember anything?" one angel asked her. Anne shook her head.

"No," she said. Anne couldn't explain why.

"Maybe you should see a doctor?" the other angel asked. Anne gave them a strange look.

"Will that help?" she asked. There was no answer for that. Heaven had never had a case like hers before. They just let the memories come back on their own. It was like Anne was never human to begin with. But that's not possible, is it?

It's fine. This is fine.

Anne just functions. The angels haven't seen her do any work. But do they say anything about that? Do they talk to a supervisor about it? Do they ask her what she does? Do they maybe try to figure out what she does and if she's doing it or not? No. They just let her be. But why though? Why indeed.

I am fine. This is fine.

Anne stood in the mirror, staring at her. Had she always been that skinny? She touched her cheek.

"Is that me?" she whispered to herself. There was a knock on the bathroom. She turned her head.

"Yeah?" Anne asked. She walked over to the door. When she looked outside, the hall was dark. A look of confusion came over her face.

"Huh? What's going on?" Anne asked. Little prickles ran down her spine. Against her better judgment, she slowly turned her head.

"Oh."

Anne doesn't belong there. That much is obvious. She might not be an angel. Then what is she? How come no one has bothered to ask? Well, there is an answer to that last question.

It's not raining anymore in Heaven. It's snowing now. And it's gotten heavier. Fat flakes fell to the ground. The angels kept looking at the sky. There was such thing as Hell freezing over but what about Heaven? The angels were scrambling around for an answer. Maybe they didn't have to look so hard. The answer was much closer than they thought. They just didn't know it yet. There might be one person who knows the answer.

There is nothing wrong. Everything is fine.

Anne stood in the darkness. Her eyes shifted back and forth slowly.

"Hello?"

She could hear something in the distance. Anne can't tell which direction it's coming from. The angel knows that she can't stay here. She has to get out of here. But where was she going to go? She didn't even know where she was.

Suddenly, someone grabbed Anne by the neck. Her body went stiff as she was lifted from the ground. She gasped in pain as her eyes grew wide. Images began flashing in her head. Bombing and screaming filled her ears. There was so much going on that she couldn't keep up. A giant white flash exploded in her vision. And then there was nothing. Her blank eyes already saw too much.

Make it stop. Make it stop!

Moments later, Anne walked out of the bathroom like nothing happened. She only said two things to herself over and over as she walked down the hall.

"I am fine. This is fine. I am fine. This is fine. I am fine. This is fine."
