"What was that back there?! A scare tactic? Really, Nyssa?" Sara asked Nyssa after they left the house
"You said you didn't have another option, so I was giving you one." The raven-haired assassin replied, "Sorry for trying to preserve what's left of your soul. Isn't that the reason you left the League in the first place?"
Sara let out a breath, "Thank you. I appreciate it."
"Like I said on the phone. Anything for you, my beloved." Nyssa confessed, "Because I'm still in love with you."
The blonde bit her lip, "I…Nyssa, a part of me will always love you. You were my first, but I'm with Ava now. I love Ava."
Nyssa nodded, "I understand. I just had to let you know why I did what I did."
Sara gave a sad smile, "I wish things could be different between us, but just so you know, you don't have to wait for me to call. You can always call me. Anytime. Plus after Avi has her baby, I'd love for you to help me train her."
"I would love to."
Meanwhile at the Arrow bunker, Laurel was asleep again, resting to regain her strength. She had talked with her father before she had gone back to sleep. He knew that she was alive and safe now. He wanted to visit, but Laurel managed to convince him not too. Which was a good thing since Oliver didn't feel comfortable with letting a cop into the bunker, even if it was just Quentin.
While Laurel slept, Oliver sat watching her, holding one of her hands in his own. John sat with Avalon, trying to get to know her, but the teen didn't appear very receptive to him. He wasn't sure if she was just guarded like Oliver, or if it was worry for Laurel and Sara.
In actuality, Avalon was not knowingly ignoring John. It wasn't that she didn't want to get to know him, she just didn't know how to address him. Quinten had told her to call him grandpa. Sara had told her to call Oliver 'Uncle Ollie', but John..she had no clue. Should she call him 'Mr. Diggle' for respect? 'John' just to keep things simple, like how she called the rest of the Legends by their first names? Or 'Uncle John' because he and Oliver seemed to act like brothers?
Avalon sighed, finally facing him and breaking the silence, "I'm sorry. I don't know what to call you."
John furrowed his brow, "What? Well, I guess you can just call me John."
"John." She repeated, thinking about what she'd say next, "When's my mom gonna be back?"
"You worried about her?"
Avalon shrugged, "I guess. More worried about what she might do."
"Let's think about something else." John suggested
The conversation shifted from Sara to favorite colors and favorite food. The two continued talking until Sara and Nyssa came bounding down the steps.
"Mom!" Avalon exclaimed, hearing the footsteps as she ran over to Sara, "You didn't kill them, right?"
Sara shook her head, "No, they're still alive, but they'll sign away their rights. Next time we go to court will be for your adoption."
Avalon smiled, hugging Sara tightly. She felt relieved that her mom didn't succumb back to being an assassin. Ray had told her about Sara's time in the League of Assassins, but she'd also asked Oliver some questions about that too.
"We may not have killed them, but someone did." Nyssa uttered, pointed at the news channel displayed on the screen the Felicity usually uses.
"Who?" Sara wondered
Avalon just waved it off, mostly because she didn't really hear what was said. She was still feeling the high from being told that Sara could finally adopt her.
"I don't even care." The teen stated
Sara stared at Avalon, strangely, repeating what Nyssa had said to make sure the words that had been said were truly heard and processed.
"Avi, your parents, Rowan and Iridessa are dead."
Blinking her eyes, Avalon froze for a moment as the words sunk in, "Oh..How? What happened?"
She didn't really know how to react. A part of her felt sad about the loss, but another part of her was relieved that she wouldn't have to talk to the police about what her father had done to her. She wouldn't have to try and convince a jury that her mother had known about the deal she had made with her father, and about her father raping her.
Sara shook her head, pulling the teen in to a comforting embrace, "I wish I knew, but I don't."
"Who else wanted them dead?" Oliver piped in after listening to the entire conversation, "You know, besides everyone in this room?"
"Well, Mick tried to kill my…Rowan. I'm sure all the Legends wanted them dead, but besides that…" Avalon trailed off, "Naz…Zerachiel. He could have done it. He wanted them dead too."
Oliver stood up from his seat, "I'm sorry. Who?"
"Zerachiel is an angel." Sara informed, "He was assigned to protect and guide Avi, but he went back home to Heaven."
Avalon cleared her throat, staring at Sara, dumbfoundedly.
"But he's an angel, which means he doesn't need to be on earth." The blonde continued, "Right. So how do you feel about this, Avi?"
"I'll get over it. Probably by the time I'm holding…" She placed her hands on her belly, "...this little one in my arms."
Sara nodded, "Alright well I should be getting back to the waverider, I have Legends who need picking up. Shouldn't leave them alone for too long, especially Mick."
"What about Laurel? And finding Brecken Montez?" John inquired
"Eh…it's not supernatural or alien in nature. Give the information to my dad. Keep taking care of Laurel. I'll come visit again when I can." Sara explained
She hugged Oliver, John and Nyssa goodbye. As she headed back towards the bottom of the stairs, She watched Avalon saying her goodbyes too.
"I'm gonna miss you." The fourteen year old uttered as she hugged Oliver
"You'll see me again." He told her
Avalon went over to John next, "Thanks for everything."
"It was no big deal. Sara's family, so you're family."
"I'll see you again real soon." Nyssa told the teen once it was her turn.
Avalon smiled warmly as she strolled over to the stairs where Sara waited for her. Just seven months ago when Avalon had first stumbled upon the waverider, she had been so desperate. She'd had a family, parents who had loved her unconditionally, until one day that changed and they only loved her for what she could give them. A baby, who was due in about two months. Once her baby came, it wouldn't just be the two of them. Because she has a family who truly loves her just as she is, who doesn't expect anything in return for the love and care they give to her so freely. A family who will always protect her and put her first before all else.

Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed reading as much as I did writing this story. Comments are greatly appreciated.
What's your theory on who killed Rowan and Iridessa? Do you think it was one of the other Legends? And if so, which one? Or was it Nazareth/Zerachiel?
