One World: Many Souls
Chapter 43: Heated Words, Messy Promises
Frisk's Point of View: Past
No… fucking… way…!
The near primal scream that came out of me had something shattering in the house of my sister while she and I think the kids came running. Pounding of footsteps came before the door was pounded on, but I was frozen.
"Frisk?!" Angel's worried tone came quickly though the wood as the only barrier in our way. "What's wrong?"
"Mom? Is Aunt Frisk okay?"
"Hold on Eras! Frisk! Open the door please!"
"Auntie Frisk?!"
"Hold on!"
Finally getting some sort of words out of me, I unlocked the door and my sister came barreling inside. Her worried glance came over me first to see what was wrong before her eyes landed on the single item in my hand and I looked at her with a very… unsure expression.
"Okay Frisk, why don't you sit down for a second and let's breathe, okay?"
"O-okay…"
"Aunt Frisk?"
Eras and Arial poked their heads into the bathroom while their mother tended to me. She all but shoved me down on the toilet and held my shoulders, kneeling in front of me even as she was five months pregnant herself. I felt terrible that she was fretting over me, but it was her nature. She wasn't about to stop now. She raised me before her own children.
But it was my time then to spread my wings…
"Auntie Frisk, is that a baby test?"
I couldn't barely look at the little girl who I called niece. I nodded slowly to her while my sister looked at it herself.
"Two months…" Angel looked up at me softly. "I know you and Asriel were coming around to the idea of telling the human and monster people about marriage… but… I don't mean to be rude…"
"I know, Angel… I know…" I sighed, trying to calm the heightened emotions and senses. "We wanted to wait until after marriage… we both use protection…"
"But didn't you have that infection a couple months ago? From that issue with your foot? You were on antibiotics then?"
"Oh shi-"
My sister thankfully covered my mouth before I could say any terrible words in front of the kids.
"What do I do…?"
"Well… when are you meeting Asriel? I think it would be wise to talk to him."
"Um… he…"
But I was cut off by the sound of a car horn blasting from the driveway. The nerves of mine were out of what normally I could control. My sister was already there with soothing gestures and hugs.
"He loves you; he's not going to run away. Take a deep breath and be honest with him."
I could only nod to my sister before she gave me some space to stand. I took those moments to stand at the mirror and try to calm myself.
"Mom! Aunt Frisk is gonna have a baby? Does that mean Uncle Azz is gonna marry her now?"
"Arial, hush." With a gentle shove, the kids and my sister left the bathroom. I took those moments while Arial complained to her mother to compose myself and think of the future.
I was having Asriel's baby… I was two months in… it wouldn't be long before someone noticed…
Was I ready? Was Asriel ready? Did we have much of a choice?
I carefully let out a deep breath and tried to compose myself before stepping out of the house to go see my boyfriend who waited for me. The test was carefully hidden in the pocket of my jean shorts as I stepped outside to the private car that waited for me. Asriel rolled down the back seat window to give me a beaming smile while I nervously walked out.
"Hey, you ready for today's lesson? I think Mom's wanting to bring you to the next official gathering."
"Almost… um…" I couldn't help but look away in those moments while trying to take a calming breath. "I need… to talk to you…"
A shaky hand was held up outside the car door and Asriel all but knew the signs that I was stressed. He hurried out of the car to take my outstretched hand. With it in my gasp, I pulled him toward the lovely gardens my sister still had that were all in bloom. By the butterfly bush that my mother always loved, I stopped right before it.
"Frisk, I'm here." His fingers squeezed at mine and he held my close. "What is it?"
I wasn't even sure how to speak in those moments. Hands moved of their own accord to grab the stray test sitting in my pocket. Its result in place was locked and I handed it over. And I shook all over as I did so.
"Oh…" Of course, he was surprised at the news. Though, I was actually quite almost overwhelmed when I saw a beaming smile on his face from that. "Really?"
"You're… happy?"
"Are you kidding me? Of course I am!" Asriel gabbed me and twirled me around in those moments. I screeched out in surprise of it all, not expecting that kind of reaction. "Frisk, we were already talking about these things. I always wanted kids with you and for you to become my queen. Why did you think I'd be mad?"
"Just…" I tried to get a grip on the wild emotions swimming through me, and it was even worse than normal as I felt waves of anxiety hit me as well as moments of sheer joy that he wasn't upset. "I think my hormones are messing with my judgement…"
"Come on now, I fucking love you." A loud kiss was placed to my forehead, cheek, and then lips. He was so positive in those moments that my feeler chains picked up on it and his elation was starting to move over to me. "If you're okay with it, let's get married."
"W-wait!? Already?!"
"Why not? We've been chatting about it for the last year, I can do a proper proposal to you anytime you want. Besides, do you want to be married before your showing or after? Plus, Angel's got a history of multiples, so I was trying to think of you."
That haunting thought had never even crossed my mind. Oh shit, what if I did have more than one?!
"Oh my god… your right!"
"Woah," his hand set on my shoulders quickly. "Easy Frisk, don't let it freak you out. I don't mind either way, and I'm going to do all to help you. But I know you care about your image to the monster people and to the humans. I just figured getting married before you showed would make you feel a bit better since you wanted to be married before having kids."
Nodding at his words, I tried to settle into the crook of his shoulder. "N-no, you're right. I do want that. I'm sorry."
"Don't be, now then." Asriel pulled back just enough to yank something out of his pocket. A stunning ring from the underground was in his hands that he presented to me after bending on one knee. "Marry me, Frisk?"
It was actually so strange to hear those words. I never thought I would hear someone utter them to me… ever… But there was Asriel proposing and ready to take on the hectic lifestyle of raising a kingdom and a child.
"Y-yes…"
Present:
"Now, by the power vested in me and the seven households, you may bestow your souls to one another." My grandmother stood before Asriel and myself within the castle during a beautiful ceremony to wed us both only a short few weeks later. Last minute was everything, but not nearly as rushed as my sister's wedding.
Surrounded by family, friends, and those who stood by our families both, Asriel and I were in the castle's large courtyard being wed before them all. I in a form fitting dress that sparkled with sequins and lace, while Asriel was in a royal armor crafted for him and ready to bestow to the next king. Asgore personally saw to its manufacturing once he'd confirmed us getting married only a month ago. Asriel's armor resembled that of his father's, but for the ceremony it was made of silver with purple cloth accents between the plates to show his status as royalty.
Asriel was all I could focus on in those moments of our matrimony. If I focused on anything else, I doubt I would be able to calm down. The baby in my abdomen made sure that all of my emotions were worn on my sleeves. I had to be so careful…
Among the eyes of the onlookers, all were surprised to see our souls pulled from our chests to be bound together for all of eternity. Though gasps were quickly produced when they watched us completing the old-time monster ritual. Two hearts came from our chests that were colored quite differently then I remembered. Mine was still a rich deep red that never lost its intensity, but Asriel's…
His was colored like the rainbow…
Was that from before or after our souls merged? Did that come from his soul Angel crafted for him finally mering to his unique situation after all that had happened to him? I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the appearance of it as could he. But then he lifted his head and stared at me silently.
"Frisk… you're beautiful…"
Self-consciously taking a moment to feel to my hair first, I noticed it was longer when I reached for it, squealing in surprise. And it was colored differently! The tips of my hair were orange that faded up my scalp to a fiery red. The light waves of hair grew just past my shoulders. Never had I had hair so long…
My surprise could not be contained when I saw from a reflection from the fountain beside us showing me my changed appearance and my newly colored eyes as well. Merging souls with Asriel changed my eyes to match his strawberry-colored ones. I was so elated at that…
Was this supposed to represent the new me? The changed me who was ready for the next step in my life?
I felt my hands grabbed so tightly by my recently made husband. My newly changed strawberry eyes leveled with his own in my excitement and surprise. Asriel showed me a blinding grin before hooking one of his arms around my slender waist to present us to the crowd of people who watched on.
Right in the front row was both Asgore, Toriel, Undyne, Alphys, Angel, Sans, Papy, Lilly and the kids. Our family watched us intently as Asriel brought forward his hands, from them leaping colorful flames. Matching his soul did the flames take their color after. Into the air the fire flew, taking shapes of items of our lives. Musical instruments, flowers, books, people… the rainbow colored flames blazed across the sky. They held our gazes in amazement…
I saw a hand quickly form before me. Asriel I saw glancing back just slightly while he continued to appease the crowd with his newly transformed magic. Before me was an outline to heart, the flames flickering, warm, and florescent in color. I watched it while such a calm amazing feeling come over me.
This was my new life, princess of the monster people, soon to be queen. Soon to be mother… I was three months along then…
Is it really bad that I didn't want more than one kid?
Mystic Girl's Note:
Well, another chapter down and oh my God we have a lot of things happening in this chapter! Now I have to be quick because I stole Halloween's laptop to do my thing and she hasn't noticed yet. Let's jump right into reviews!
Halloween: Mystic! Where the hell is my laptop you bitch?!
Shadow8Phantom: Frisk is in for a lot but so is everyone else. Not gonna give anything away.
Halloween: Maybe you're right, Shadow? Maybe it is that Sans has finally hit that number? Because it is strange that they keep having so many kids. But the union between them is unusual too. A human and monster who have been merged together, and they're the first pairing in a long time. We don't know yet what the gender of the kid is, but I can tell you right now that you're finding out very soon!
And Frisk had a lot happen this chapter! And more to come of course! You'll see soon enough. Our soon to be queen/mother is in for a rough ride...
Thechaosmaster: Chaos, Halloween plays when it comes to my heart strings when it comes to Frisk. I somewhat relate to Frisk so when she makes my favorite character go through things it plays with me. But at least this time it was all good and happy things.
Halloween: Happy New Year to you too Chaos! And you make a fair point. I thought that last hit was a bit obvious about her pregnancy, and my goodness I hope it's the last. This makes kid six at least. It is getting a bit crazy, but if we think back to that chapter Sans and Asgore were talking about all that time ago, it could be because of that, and Angel did want to have a large family. Hidden desires could be at play, but I really hope we're done. I feel like there hasn't been a time where she hasn't been pregnant in almost ten years!
But I'm glad your story is coming along again. And don't stories always start with no idea? Sometimes an idea just comes to you and you have to get it down before it gets away from you. Then you plan after that beginning, right? That's how most of my work starts.
But good luck to you and we'll see you soon!
MysticBoywastaken: I'm glad you're doing better and we all care about you.
Halloween: XDMaybe your wish will come true in some form! We'll see! But I hope you're doing okay. I'm sorry you're going through this. Remember that you can talk to us, okay?
Not A Shady Guy: Time does fly. But I come from a big family so I know how it is. But we shall see what will happen.
Halloween:Shady! Same! So hard same! My mother was one of five, and her siblings had kids like ten years before her, so my cousins all got married and some of them have kids already graduating high school while I'm still trying to get my life together with Jager. My cousins are anywhere from fourteen to eight years older than me, and like I said before, I'm twenty-nine if that helps you at all!
And yeah, time is flying super fast in their lives. Joker is already getting older, the eldest kids are closer to age nine. The next twins would be about five-sixish, and so forth. It's crazy, isn't it?
I am really excited for you guys to see next chapter! There are so many surprises and excitement it might kill you all with how much mushy love there is in there!
Halloween: I agree! After such a cool chapter of Frisk having her own changing of her appearance, we're finally getting somewhere in her life. Frisk is finally getting what I hope is her happy ending. But it wouldn't be all that fun if that was the end of it! Nah! I got one last surprise for Frisk to really rock her boat before we start jumping forward in the lives of the kids! So, who wants to make any last-minute guesses as to what I have in store for her. Not really any hints are said, but it's about something current in her life. That's the only clue I'm willing to give!
Love you all and see you next week!
