Dark Pit opened his eyes. His vision was hazy. All he could see was a white ceiling. He closed his eyes and heard nurses murmuring. Eventually he was able to fully open his eyes. It took his eyes a while to adjust, but when they did, he realized he was in a hospital bed. He tried getting up, but all he felt was pain. How did he get here? Last time he remembered he was in Villager's room against his will because of the god damn parasite. Wait… Dark Pit lifted his hand in front of him. He… He had full control. WAIT A MINUTE! HE HAS FULL CONTROL OF HIS BODY AGAIN!

The nurse noticed he was staring at his hands in awe. She walked up to him and greeted him.

"Why, hello, how are you feeling?" She asked.

"W-what's going on? W-why am I able to move my body?"

"What?"

"T-the parasite! Where?"

"Oh, you knew about the parasite? We found it while performing surgery on you. We took it to the lab to examine."

"Y-you got rid of it?! Oh thank you so much. You have no idea how much I've been suffering."

"If you knew about it, how come you didn't come to us sooner?"

"I couldn't! It's a mind-controlling parasite that Mario put inside of me!"

"What?"

"Mario… THAT FUCKING BASTARD! He betrayed me! Oh when I'm out of here, I'm going to kill him."
"Mario, what? I'm sorry you lost me."

"Can I leave? I have a bone to pick."

"You cannot. Your heart was penetrated. We had to do heart surgery on you. You're lucky you're even alive."

"My heart? How long was I out?"

"You've been in a coma for a week."
"A week?!"

"I'm surprised you woke up. We expected you to be in a coma for at least a month minimum."
"What?!"

"Don't worry, you need lots of bed rest. If you move, your heart is going to strain."

"But I have to-

"No, you need rest. Don't even think about sneaking out. One of our patients kept doing that, so we upped our security."

"Fuckin' hell."
"I'm sorry, but we have to monitor everyone now."

"Whatever."

The nurse handed him a mini remote. "If you need me, press the green button. I'll come and assist you."

"Wait!"
"Hm?"

"Where's Pit?"

"Oh, your brother?"

"He's not my brother, but yeah the uglier version of me."

"Oh, that poor guy…"

"Is he here too?"

"Yes, he's a couple rooms away from you. He's uh, in critical condition. We also had to perform surgery on him. Unfortunately he's healing slower than we expected."

"What? I-is he going to die?"
"We… Don't know…"

Dark Pit tried getting up, but when he tried moving his body all he felt was sharp pain. He laid right back down and started breathing heavily.

"Please don't strain yourself. You're not allowed to get up yet. You could injure yourself more."

"I need to see him."

"I'm sorry, but we're not allowing any visitors for him."

"You don't understand-

"I'm sorry, but no."

He watched the nurse leave. Pit… What happened? All he remembered was that Kirby was screaming inside Villager's room. Pit stormed in and so did he. Then he said fucking 'slay Pittypat' for some reason. Then the Villager attack happened and he got shot in the chest by Pit's arrow. What did Villager do when he lost consciousness?

Clone Ness was freaking out. Nana is crazy. This is… Wow, ok. He tried pushing himself off of her, but she grabbed a hold of his shirt. She's… stronger than she looks. She pulled his face close to hers. He tried fighting back and started pulling his face away. The two were struggling for a bit, until Ness thought of a good idea. He stopped struggling and put his head down, which caused the two to headbutt each other. Ness immediately jumped off of her and watched as she sat up. She put her hand on her forehead and groaned in pain.

"N-Nana… T-t-this is not ok," Ness stuttered. Holy shit is he scared? He looked at his hands and they were shaking. He had goosebumps for the first time. He's actually scared. Does he get paranoia when he drinks? Oh, wow now a headache is coming. He put his head on his forehead and closed his eyes. The light is too bright. Everything is too much right now.

"Ness, why'd you do that?" Nana scoffed.

"Sorry?"

"You better be that hurt."
"Look, I'm not feeling good right now. Can you please get out?"

"Seriously?"
"Yeah, y-you're scaring me. I need to be alone."

"But I thought-

"No, I'm n-not into y-you like that."

"You're making a mistake."

"W-what is wrong with you?"

"Nothing. I thought you were into this sort of thing?"

"No, I'm Ness. You know the guy reads books all day or whatever."

"No, I saw the way you looked at me when I tripped."

"What?"

"The way you looked at me. You're into me!"

"You mean my worried look?"

"It wasn't a worried look!"

"Ok, ok look I'm not mad, I just need some alone time. Please leave."

"Fine."

Nana got up and buttoned her parka back. She gave him a mean look as she left his room. He let out a long sigh and plopped on his bed. Holy shit, what just happened. It wasn't even his fault this time. She's actually crazy. He had a hard time falling asleep. He kept thinking about the Nana incident. He wondered how his original would have dealt with this situation. Honestly, he wouldn't have been in this situation because it's him. He hoped that Nana wouldn't talk about this whole event. She seems like a compulsive liar. Oh god, what if she starts an awful rumor about this?! They didn't leave off on a good note. He started breathing fast. He needs to calm down. At the end of the day, they're lies and he's telling the truth.

He woke up in the afternoon. He checked his phone and saw that Leaf texted. He didn't want to read it. What if it's about Nana? She was in his room last night. Oh god, what if someone saw her go inside his room? Oh no, what if Nana told Leaf about it and changed up the story? He decided to not read the text and continue about his day. He got up, brushed his teeth, got dressed, and went to the library to stay in character.

He continued to read until he got hungry. He put his boring book down and left for the food court. When he arrived, his anxiety flared up. He saw Leaf. They locked eyes. Dammit, now he has to approach her. He awkwardly waved at her and made his way over to her table. She was sitting next to someone who dressed similar to her. In fact, they looked like siblings. Are they siblings?

Ness: "Hey, guys."

Leaf: "Hey, Ness did you get my message?"

Ness: "Uh.. No sorry. I didn't touch my phone today."

Leaf: "Seriously? Well basically I was going to let you know that Red and I are going to have a friendly Pokemon Battle later. I wanted you to watch."

Ness: "Oh, phew."

Leaf: "Huh?"
Ness: "Oh, sorry I uh, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night."
Leaf: "I'm sorry to hear that, you should get rest after this then."

Ness: "N-no, I want to watch."
Leaf: "Ok! Maybe our epic battle will give you some energy."

Ness: "It definitely will."

Leaf: "Well, Red? What do you say? After lunch?"

Red: "Yeah, I'm down."
Ness: "So wait, are you guys siblings?"

Red: "Uh, no. We're just friends."

Ness: "Oh sorry if that was a weird question."

Red: "You're all good. I heard you and Leaf became close recently."

Ness: *Eye twitches* "Y-yeah, we're close."
Red: "Cool! Both of us are pretty passionate about Pokemon and that annoys people. I'm glad you are also a Pokemon fan."

Ness: "Of course! Who doesn't love Pokemon?"
Red: "Well… We love Pokemon too much hahaha!"

Leaf: "I legit talk to Ness about Pokemon 24/7. I'm surprised he puts up with me sometimes."
Ness: "Me too."

Leaf: "Hey!"

Red: "Hahaha! I like this guy. I always pictured you as awkward and introverted."

Ness: "I still am."

Leaf: "Ever since we first talked at the garden, you sure don't act like how you used to be. It's almost like you're a different person."
Ness: "You know me, I'm full of surprises."

After the three finished their food, they went to the soccer field. It's time for a Pokemon battle. Ness sat on the bleachers and cheered Leaf on.

Leaf: "You know, Ness you should wear a cheerleader outfit. It would look cute on you."
Ness: "I'll buy one if you win."
Leaf: "Bet."

Ness: "Win and we'll see."
Leaf: "You hear that, Red? I'm gonna give it my all."

Red: "I'll still win."

Leaf: "We'll see about that."

Other smashers and assist trophies that walked by the soccer field noticed that a Pokemon battle was about to start. They, too, went to the bleachers to watch. Unfortunately Clone Sonic and Samus were around so they sat next to Ness. Sonic is definitely keeping watch on him. Could this get any worse? After he thought that, someone tapped on his shoulder. He turned around behind on his right and saw Nana happily sitting next to him. He really had to jinx it. She smiled at him and he forced one back. Oh man, this is so awkward. He moved his cap to the side so that he couldn't see Nana through his peripheral vision. Ok, that's a little better. If he can't see her, she doesn't exist.

The fight started. He watched as Leaf sent out her Pikachu first. Red sent out his Espeon. Now this is going to be a fun watch! Ness forgot about Nana and started screaming his girlfriend's name! The crowd was going wild as Espeon and Pikachu were going at it. Ness was so proud when he saw Pikachu knock out Red's Espeon. She looked at him and winked. He couldn't help but blush and wink back. She looked so cool in his eyes! The way she commanded Pikachu to do the craziest shit he's seen was amazing! She really is something.

Red sent out his Venusaur next. Ness knew that electric isn't effective against grass. What is she going to do? To his surprise, Pikachu was keeping up. He was doing great, until Red's Venasuar caught Pikachu in the air with its vine whip. It grabbed Pikachu and threw him down hard on the field. That knocked the poor yellow mouse out of the game. Leaf returned Pikachu. She kissed her Pikachu's Pokeball and sent out Charizard. This is going to get interesting. Ness jumped up from his seat and screamed out Charizard's name. Charizard gave Ness a smirk and flew into the air. He used flamethrower on Venasuar, knocking him out. Whoo! This is going well for Leaf.

Ness was having a good time, until Nana cuddled his arm. Sonic gave him a look. Oh god, Nana why. He turned around to see her whole body against his. Her head was resting on his shoulder and everything. Does she not know what no means? Great, now Sonic is suspicious. He's going to tell Mario and then his boss is going to question him again. He can't keep getting in trouble, plus what if Leaf sees? Then he has to deal with that mess.

"Psst, Nana what are you doing?" Ness whispered.

"Hm? Oh, I'm getting comfy of course."

"Are you serious? People are looking."

"Let em look."

"Nana, let go of me."

"What, I'm just holding my friend."

"This isn't how friends act."

"I always hold my friends like this."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah."

"Do you also like to take advantage of them when they're intoxicated too?"

"What're you talking about?"

"Did you forget about last night?"

"I was drunk."

"No you weren't."

"Yes, I was. Did I say I was sober? Popo says I always say that when I'm drunk."

"You barely drank last night."

"I drank plenty."

"You said you were a heavyweight."

"Yeah, that doesn't mean I am one. I say shit when I'm drunk."

"What? You were acting normal."

"Was I though?"

"I mean, yeah until you went inside my room."

"Yeah, I do that when I'm drunk. I was drunk the entire time."

"What? No."

"Yeah, everyone acts differently when they're drunk."

"I'm so confused."

"Wait, what did I do last night? I don't remember going into your room."

"You can't be serious."

"I'm telling you, I hold all my friends like this. I'm a touchy person."

(Am I crazy? Have I read the situation wrong? I'm so happy I turned her down. I have the feeling she's lying, but hey I'm not in the mood to argue.) "Ok, listen I uh, I uh, I'm gonna move to the bottom of the bleacher because I want a better view."

"I'll come with you."

Ness looked at the front row seats. Luckily there was one spot left available. This is a perfect excuse. She can't sit with him and now he won't be next to Sonic. It's a win-win.

"Sorry, there's only one seat."

"But-

Ness got up and moved seats. He was now next to ugh gross, Wario and Yoshi. Well, Yoshi isn't gross, but Wario sure was. Eww, does this guy take a bath? He watched as Wario took out a garlic from his hat and began eating it raw. Oh eww gross, what the fuck. He looked back at Nana who was staring at him with an annoyed look. Nope, this is still better.

Ness continued to watch the game. The two Pokemon trainers were done to their last Pokemon. It was Red's charizard vs Leaf's Lapris. The two were going at it. Charizard was dodging Lapris's ice beams from the air. Leaf ordered her Lapris to free the floor using ice beam. This way, Charizard can't touch the floor. If he does, he'll slip which will give Lapris the advantage. However, Red ordered his Charizard to use overheat which caused the status effect Burn on Lapris plus it caused the ice on the ground to melt.

Everyone fell silent. This is a close battle. Who's going to win? This Charizard is faster than her Lapris. If only her Lapris was as fast as his Charizard. That's when she thought of a good idea. Why ice the floor, when she could cause the entire area to be wet instead. She ordered her Lapris to use rain dance then she used surf. This was a done deal for Charizard. A giant wave crashed on Charizard despite him being in the air. Once he hit the floor, Lapris used hydro pump to finish him off. The match was over and Leaf was deemed the winner. Everyone cheered.

Red and Leaf shook hands and hugged it out. She then ran to Ness. They hugged.

"Did you see it?" Leaf said full of zeal.

"Of course! All of it!"

"I won, so you gotta buy a cheerleader outfit."

"Dammit."

"What? You'll look so cute."
"I was hoping you would lose."

"Oh come on, you knew I wouldn't. Seeing you in a cheerleading outfit was all the motivation I needed."

"Hhhhh."

"Now let's go to the mall to pick one out."
"I don't wanna."

"Too bad!"

The two started walking away from the soccer field. He looked back one more time to see Nana still staring at him. Eww, creepy. Ok, it's a little hot, but she's still creepy. He needs to talk to her again and make it clear that he only likes her as a friend and nothing else. In fact, if she was going to keep being touchy, he's going to threaten their friendship because she could get him killed. Literally. Mario might kill him if he sees how she acts around him.
