Today we find our heroes on their way through the mountainous region on their way to Azalea Town, but wait, just where are they?
"Just admit we're lost and look at the map already." Casey groaned.
"If it worked don't you think I would have done that by now?" Ash retorted.
"You just don't know how to work it! Give it here and I'll find our way in no time!" Casey said angrily, reaching for the Pokegear.
"Get your own if you're so sure I don't know what I'm doing!" Ash argued.
"No, we don't need another, we just need a smarter navigator!" Casey argued, pulling at the Pokegear.
"Are you calling me an idiot?!" Ash exclaimed angrily.
"Of course not, I'd never be that mean to idiots!" Casey taunted.
"DOUR!" A roar called out, a black blur leaping between Ash and Casey, and running off with the Pokegear in its mouth.
"The map!" Casey exclaimed.
"My Pokegear!" Ash yelled, running after the creature.
"Ash!" Molly exclaimed, running after Ash.
"Agh, which way did it go!" Ash groaned, seeing two cavernous holes. "Pikachu, any ideas?"
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed, pointing to the left one.
"Alright, I'm trusting you buddy." Ash said, leaping down the left.
"Molly, did you see which way Ash went?" Casey asked.
"No, he was too far ahead." Molly said worriedly.
"Wait, I hear noises this way, come on!" Casey said, jumping down the right hole, Molly following right behind her.
With Ash and Pikachu
"Look, I see something over there." Ash said, making his way over carefully.
"There he is!" A man shouted.
"Get him!" Another exclaimed.
At the shouts Ash ducked out of the way, seeing two men in black uniforms run after the creature that took his Pokegear.
"Looks like I'm not the only one after it, but if we want to get it back, we'll need to act quickly." Ash said to Pikachu. "Come on let's follow them."
"Pi." Pikachu said in agreement.
Ash and Pikachu made their way around the rocks, following the two men.
"If the boss finds out we lost another, he'll can us for sure." The first said.
"He won't know as long as we get it back, now focus and keep quiet, if you stay so loud it will hear us coming." The second said in annoyance.
"Why does the boss even want something like this?" The first questioned.
"He just wants as many subjects as he can, so stop asking questions and hope you won't be the next one tested." The second said angrily.
"Test subjects?" Ash questioned. "Okay, now we definitely need to find that Pokemon and stop whoever these people are."
"Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed excitedly.
"Right, let's do it." Ash said, grabbing a Pokeball. "Stop right there!"
"Is that a kid?" The second man asked in confusion. "Deal with him, I'll get the subject!"
"You chose a bad place to get lost kid." The first man said, walking over in a black suit and a gray mask. "Gengar stop him with a Sludge Bomb!"
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu fired a bolt of electricity out at Gengar, destroying the poisonous blob before striking the ghost type.
"Gengar use Shadow Ball!"
"Pikachu use Thunder!"
Pikachu unleashed a massive blast of electricity, destroying the shadowy blob and smoking Gengar to a crisp.
"Now what are your plans out here!?" Ash demanded.
"I wish I knew, they don't tell me anything just that we're supposed to gather as many of the wild Pokemon we can for the boss's plan." The man said.
"Great." Ash groaned. "Pikachu let's go!"
Ash and Pikachu rushed off after the other man, not wanting to let him get away with their plan.
"Dour!" A wild Pokemon yarped.
"That way!" Ash exclaimed, leaping over a boulder to see the other man in a black uniform using a whip and wire noose to subdue the wild Pokemon. "Hey, get away from him!" Ash yelled.
"I knew that idiot couldn't handle taking care of something that simple! I am a proud and elite member of Team Rocket and you have no idea the scope of our plans!" The man said angrily.
"So you're the new Team Rocket I heard about." Ash said. "Bulbasaur use Razor Leaf!"
Bulbasaur was sent out of his Pokeball, sending out razor sharp leaves, slicing the whip and noose, the wild Pokemon running off from the Team Rocket member.
"Oh you'll pay for that!" The Team Rocket member said angrily. "Magmar use Flamethrower!"
"Squirtle use Hydro Pump!" Ash called out, sending out his water type.
Squirtle sent out a blast of water, creating a burst of steam from the two combined attacks.
"Now Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out.
Pikachu sent a bolt of electricity that pierced through the steam, striking the Magmar for massive amounts of damage.
"Magmar use Fire Blast, full power!"
The flames shot out through the steam, quickly encroaching on Ash and his Pokemon.
"Charizard!" Ash called out, as the fire type took the fire blast as if it was nothing.
"Dour?" The wild Pokemon said, watching where it was hiding from.
"Charizard use Dragon Rage! Squirtle use Hydro Pump! Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out.
The triple strike, blasted into Team Rocket's Magmar, knocking out the fire type.
"Gah, this isn't worth the time, I need to get back to the shipment!" The Team Rocket member said angrily.
"We have to go after him and save whatever other Pokemon they've taken!" Ash said, turning around to see Molly and Casey hadn't been with him. "Wait, where are the girls? Okay, focus on one thing at a time, the girls should be able to handle themselves right now, and knowing Molly, she's already on her way to the Pokemon, let's go there first." Ash said, recalling Squirtle and Bulbasaur into their Pokeballs, having forgotten about his Pokegear and the wild Pokemon for the time being.
