Uncaring:

Harry Potter was sitting at the kitchen table at Grimmauld place. He was drinking a cup of tea while he waited for the noise to start. The noise of all the Weasley's, Sirius, Remus and the odd order member to make their way into the kitchen for breakfast.

It was just as noisy as Harry thought it was be. All excited because it was the last day of the holidays. People like Ron wasn't excited, Hermione was. Even the twins were excited since it meant they could continue to make their products for their joke shop they want to open without their mother finding out.

Harry was the only other one who didn't seem excited or even happy that the students returned to Hogwarts the following day.

'Harry, can I ask you something?'

Harry turned to stare at his female friend, 'Sure Hermione, but I can't guarantee to answer.'

Hermione nodded, then licked her lips, nervously, 'Well, it's about birthday's and Christmas. For the last couple of years, me and a few others had given you a gift. I'm sorry if this sound ungrateful or materialistic, but why haven't you ever given us anything?'

Harry stared at his friend. 'Two reasons. First is I have no parent's so the money I do have has to last. Why do you think I put up with the rags the Dursley's make me wear? I can't afford to waste money when I have no one but me to count on.'

'You can count on us Harry dear.'

'No offence Mrs Weasley, but you aren't my mother, you aren't my family. I have no family,' Harry turned back to Hermione, 'Second reason. I gave a gift once, even though I had never received a gift my entire life. They mocked me and laughed then destroyed it. From that moment on I said I will never buy anything for anyone. Why do you think I told you and Ron not to bother,' Harry shrugged, 'Now you know, you might stop. Anyway, I'm going to read,' Harry got up ready to leave the kitchen.

'Pup, what do you mean you never received a gift your entire life?' Sirius asked.

'I mean I have never received a birthday or Christmas gift, until I went to Hogwarts. I've never even received a card. Hagrid got me Hedwig, but by then I already decided that birthdays and Christmas weren't worth my time, they were just another day. So, while all of you are giving false cheer, I'm going to read.'

When Harry left Hermione allowed the tears to fall, 'He sounded so uncaring.'

'Yes, he does and that is worrying,' Albus said as he stepped into the room.

'You were told what the Dursley's were like Albus, it seems they are worse than I thought,' Minerva said as she joined Albus.

'Even though I'm shocked, why are you worried Dumbledore?' Sirius asked.

Albus sighed, but he realised these people here are the closest to Harry and if anyone can show the young man they cared for him it's them. And Harry needed to know that, so Albus decided these people should know why he was worried.

'I'm sure you remember the meeting I had with James and Lily when Harry was only a year old?'

'Of course, we were all shocked.'

'That is still in affect. But I believe I know what that one part that we discuss means.'

'You mean the power he knows not? That always had me curious but I could never figure it out. Lily and James could never figure it out either. So, you think you know and it's why you're worried about Harry?'

'Yes,' Albus sighed again then looked at every face in the kitchen, 'A prophecy was made about Voldemort and Harry. The one born to parent's who have thriced defied him will vanquish the dark lord. But he will have powers the dark lord knows not. That is part of the prophecy that I heard from the seer.'

'So those rumours that Harry will somehow be involved in the war, are true?' Arthur asked.

'Yes, Harry will be right in the middle of it.'

'Okay, this power, what do you believe it means?' Sirius asked.

'Love. Love saved Harry as a baby and love will conquer Voldemort. He has no love and love is powerful. Yet hearing Harry before, it seems he has yet to find love, even for his friends.'

'We've done wrong by Harry, so he won't trust us until we've proven ourselves. When you told us not to write to Harry, I knew it would mean Harry would never trust us again. He might stay friendly with us but he will never trust us. Without trust you can't have love,' Hermione said wiping tears from her eyes.

'That's why you haven't bothered to train him because you believe he has to hug Voldemort to death?' Sirius asked sarcastically.

'It is not as simple as that Sirius. Love is one branch of magic that is not known. I do know there is a room at the department of mysteries that the unspeakables study and it is supposed to be about love. If Harry does not love, then he will not be able to defeat Voldemort. But what concerns me is the similarities between Harry and a young Voldemort. When he was still known as tom, I watched him carefully. He did not love anyone; he did not believe in love and he rarely trusted anyone.'

'Harry doesn't trust anyone and we know his relatives don't love him and he hates them,' Ron said.

'How do you know Harry doesn't trust anyone?' Albus asked.

'He told us. He said after the way the Dursley's and most adults treated him, he knew adults weren't trustworthy. Then he said kids were just the same. He told us he would only trust someone when they have earned his trust. Both Hermione and I have done wrong by him, so he doesn't trust us,' Ron turned to Hermione and nodded.

'He doesn't trust Professor McGonagall because of how she refused to believe us when we told her about the philosophers stone. Also,' Hermione sighed, 'He doesn't trust you Professor Dumbledore because you allow Professor Snape to be cruel to Harry and bully him. He sees the staff of Hogwarts as sheep who just want to keep their jobs and not help their students.'

'I heard Harry muttering one time behind his curtains. He said…' Ron glanced around then sighed, 'he said so far, all the adults he's met don't deserve to live. He also said he wished he was old enough to…um, too kill Snape. He wanted to curse the Dursley's with some pretty nasty curses.'

'If that's how Harry really feels than I doubt he would care about what the prophecy said,' Remus said sadly, 'But it's true, I deserted him as far as he's concerned so I can't be trusted,' Remus looked at Arthur then Molly, 'I'm sorry about this Molly, but when you said he was like your son, he saw that as you trying to replace his mother. He wouldn't allow that so he will never let you get close in case you try to take Lily's place. I saw the way Severus treated Harry, you are the headmaster so he sees you as allowing Snape to torment and belittle him.'

'That's one thing Harry really hates, it's bullies. Because he was bullied by his cousin and his gang. He calls Snape a bully and a coward,' Hermione said.

Albus knew he had made mistakes, but the mistakes connected to Harry just might mean they lose the war. He wasn't sure how he could fix the problem and if he could, would there be enough time. If Harry didn't love anyone due to the life he had at the Dursley's, then the blame will lie with Albus.

Sirius did tell Albus that Harry seemed a little excited when his godfather offered him a home. If what he had been hearing and seeing, Albus had to wonder if the wards were still working around number four privet drive. If Harry didn't care about his relatives then he probably didn't think of that place as home and them as family, the wards were based on that. Harry had to think of that place as home. If all this was true then Harry really wasn't protected there so there was no use sending Harry back there.

Albus looked around the dark and dismal house. It was protected by the fidelius charm, but it wasn't the best environment for anyone, let alone a young man who doesn't feel love for anyone. Maybe he needs to rethink his ideas and consider giving Harry something that could help him. If Harry got to live with his godfather, the closest person to be considered family, maybe Harry might learn to open his heart. But would there be enough time?

With Cornelius Fudge burying his head in the sand and his lackey, Dolores Umbridge gunning for Harry, maybe Hogwarts wasn't the best place for Harry. Thoughts and ideas were running through his mind. Ideas he never thought he would consider. It was time to talk to Sirius, who knew James and Lily more than anyone else. If there was any part of James and Lily in Harry, then it might mean he needed to take drastic measures to bring those traits out in their son.

He had turned up to explain to Harry about the lessons he would be taking with Severus. With the what young Ronald said about how Harry wants to kill Severus, then that would just make Harry worse if he was forced to spend more time with the man. Albus also knew that if Severus pushed Harry too much, he just might kill Severus.

He gestured to Sirius, they left the kitchen and went into the drawing room, 'After hearing what Harry and his friends said, I realised that most of Harry's problems was caused by me. There is one solution that may help.'

'I hope so Albus or we could end up with another dark wizard. I don't want to believe Harry could turn dark. But we know the ones that do turn dark usually don't care about anything. Harry still cares, he just doesn't trust or love, so there is hope.'

'Which means altering a lot of my plans. First is Harry needs to feel love, especially the love of a family. I had hoped that Petunia would eventually come to love her nephew. Now we know that never happened. You, Sirius, are the closest person to a family Harry has. I knew he wanted to live with you, yet we both knew that would have been difficult and I believed dangerous. With what I heard I doubt those wards around Privet drive still work.'

'So, Harry can live here with me, even if I'm still in hiding.'

'Live with you, yes, but not here. This is not the best environment for someone like Harry. The house has a dark feel to it, it would make him worse. No, what I'm going to do is speak with a friend in France. If they are willing to listen to the proof I have then they may be able to clear you in that country. If that happens then Harry can live with you in France. Now even though that could take a while, I believe you and Harry should leave now. If Harry had to return to Hogwarts with Dolores Umbridge and what has been written in the Daily Prophet, it will make Harry worse. I just never realised he believed we betrayed him. Yet looking at what Harry has been through and still going through, returning to Hogwarts is not the best solution.'

'At least we can use spells to understand and speak the language. Someone would need to go to my vault so I can get a place for us to live.'

'I will organise Remus to go for you. For now, I have a solution that will keep you and Harry from being recognised until I speak with my friend in France. I will need to talk to Filius about a very old charm. While I am gone, try to show Harry how much he is cared for. I know I made mistakes and Harry knows that a lot of his problems can be laid at my feet. I will be the last person he will want to see. You on the other hand offered him the one thing he wanted, a home. I believe you will be the one he will open up to, eventually.

As soon as Albus left Sirius went to find his godson. He was in his room, reading one of his transfiguration books. In his hand was his wand, he was twirling it between his fingers.

'Hey.'

Harry looked up, he didn't smile, 'Hi, is something up?'

'You could say that,' Sirius stepped into the room and closed the door, 'You and I are leaving England. We're going to France.'

'Why?'

'A few reasons. One is to get you away from Voldemort, but also fudge. Albus told me about the new defence against the dark arts teacher. Fudge is putting in his undersecretary in that position, who will target you and muggleborns but you'll be one she will go after. Once they realise that you and Albus were telling the truth and that you left because of the lies they were telling about you, almost everyone will call for fudge to be sacked. But I think you need to start fresh pup, I know I do. I was thrown in Azkaban and people who I thought knew me, yet they believed I was guilty. I'm still pissed at them for that. You,' Sirius sighed, 'Albus knows he made too many mistakes when it came to you, so he feels you shouldn't be here with him where you will never feel comfortable. You will not trust him or anyone else really, so leaving and going to another country, even if it's just to France, just might show you that you can have a life without always finding yourself in danger. We can be what your parent's wanted, a family. Albus has a friend in France that he's hoping will clear my name, even if it's just in that country and not here. It will really mean we can be a family pup.'

'Does he hope I will forgive him if he does this?'

'No, he knows you have legitimate reasons why you will never forgive him. He doesn't blame you, he blames himself. But he does want to make it up to you, this is the start of him doing that.'

'I would like to get away from Hogwarts, but also everyone here who believe what's in the Prophet. I don't want to go to Beauxbatons though. All those bitches were snobby and stuck up. Fleur was at first, but she got better after the second task.'

'If I can get cleared then I'll hire tutors for you. Since we're in another country, the trace won't be picked up. I can start off by teaching you the four main subjects, I can also give you some knowledge of the other subjects. I might not have got an O in all but I did get E's in the ones I didn't get an O in. But you only need to take owls and newts if you want to work for the ministry or maybe become a teacher or healer. Is that something you would do when you're older?'

Harry shook his head, 'No, I saw and heard enough to know I would never work for the ministry, nor Hogwarts. I'd be no good as a healer. So, when do we leave?'

'Probably tomorrow that way no one will realise you've disappeared until you don't arrive at Hogwarts. Don't mention this to anyone, word could leak and the wrong person might hear.'

'I'm used to keeping things to myself. Been betrayed too many times.'

'I know pup, but I'll never betray you. Are you going to join us for dinner?'

'I have to eat.'

'That you do. Come down when you're ready,' Sirius hugged his godson then kissed his forehead, 'You can always count on me Harry, remember that.'

Sirius didn't expect an answer, all Harry did was give a small nod. That told Sirius Harry wanted to trust him, but he was wary. Which Sirius understood.

When dinner was ready Harry made his way downstairs and into the kitchen. He didn't really join in with the conversations going around the room but he did talk if someone spoke to him. He mainly listened while he ate to what was being said. But he was also thinking about an idea that just might help. He wanted to discuss it with Sirius later. He might not love anyone or trust anyone but Sirius did offer him a home and he was now going to leave with Harry so they could be together without having to worry that someone in the ministry might get hold of Sirius and have him kissed. Harry already knew that if anything happened to his godfather, he would leave and no one would ever hear from him again. But he could tell Sirius did care about him, all he had to do now was allow himself to open up and trust his godfather.

Harry thanked Mrs. Weasley for the wonderful meal before he headed back up to his room but he did give Sirius a look before he left the kitchen.

Halfway up the stairs the twins stepped in front of him, 'We've been putting that money you gave us to good use,' Fred said.

'We're also branching out into products that might help.' George said then handed Harry a bag.

'All that has been tested, by us so it's safe. We've put instructions in the bag so you'll know what they do.'

'Thanks, but aren't you supposed to be building up stock so you can open your shop?'

'That is our plan but things changed mate,' Fred said.

'With Voldy back we're not sure a shop would be safe. We figured we could keep using owls and have people order from us, at least for now,' George said.

'We purchased three owls and dad allowed us to put a shed down in the orchard,' Fred said.

'He said he would send us the things we need while we're at Hogwarts,' George said.

'Do you have a list of everything you have?'

'It's in the bag as well. We just put together a basic bag with pranks and some of our serious products,' Fred said.

'Just remember you don't pay if you want anything else.' George said.

'Thanks, but I hope it means you plan on using some of these products on people who believe the lies fudge is spreading?'

The twins grinned evilly, 'Definitely,' the said together making Harry laugh.

'Good,' Harry grinned before he headed to his room. He knew the twins weren't just going to prank people who believed the lies, they would prank the Slytherin's and probably Snape. But Harry had a feeling that Fudge might just find himself pranked. He hoped so and hoped someone could get a picture.

Harry outlined his idea to Sirius who thought it just might work, especially once Voldemort was seen. The second idea Harry had could also make people think instead of just believing what was written in the Daily Prophet.

Sirius helped Harry write the two letters which would be sent to Luna Lovegood just before they left. Harry knew Luna's father would publish his letters. So even though many might not take the Quibbler seriously, reading a letter from Harry Potter, the-boy-who-lived, it just might get some to open their eyes.

The following morning Sirius and Harry handed their vault keys to Remus along with charmed bags. Sirius wanted his vault cleaned out completely, with quarter changed into french francs, quarter into English pounds, the rest in wizarding money. Harry wanted the same with half changed. When Remus left, Harry and Sirius said goodbye to his friends who were heading to Hogwarts. At first Hermione kept arguing, trying to get Harry to understand he needed to finish his education. It took Sirius to explain that Harry would have people apart from him teaching Harry so he will be able to sit for his owls and newts when he was ready. He knew it was a lie, but they had to get Hermione to understand and leave. Sirius also explained how dangerous it would be for Harry. He was kidnapped by the use of a portkey before, it could happen again especially with children of death eaters inside Hogwarts.

It was only an hour after the Weasley's and Hermione left that Remus arrived back. He handed Harry and Sirius their keys along with their bags of money.

'I will visit, not straight away. I don't want to take the chance that someone could work out where I'm going and who I'm seeing.'

'We'll keep in touch, then work on a lot of diversions so you can eventually visit. For now, just be careful.'

They watched Remus leave before they headed to the kitchen, 'How long do you think it will be before we can leave?'

'Not long. I would say Albus will make sure we can leave before anyone realises your gone. People might not see you on the Hogwarts express, but that is not proof you aren't there. It's when you don't sit at the Gryffindor table that will have everyone believe you left. When you're letters gets published it just might make people open their eyes and stop listening to Fudge and the rumours spread in the Daily Prophet.'

'It might help get that Umbitch woman out of Hogwarts as well.'

Sirius laughed, 'It just might and I wonder how long before most if not all the students begin to call her Umbitch.'

'I recon a lot will be saying that by the end of dinner. Fred and George will call her that and it will spread pretty quickly.'

Since Harry and Sirius didn't own a lot, they had everything packed in Harry's trunk and one of Sirius's old bags. They talked about what they wanted to do whether Sirius got his name cleared or not. Harry mainly wanted to learn since his education at Hogwarts had been so disruptive.

Just after lunch Albus appeared, 'Filius was able to charm these two bracelet's for you so they will make people believe they are looking at two different people. This glamour charm is very complicated and not well known. The only way to return to your natural look is if you remove the bracelets. No one, not even me can cancel the charm. Once you put them on, then only you can remove them. All you need to do the first time you put them on is to visualise how you want to look, touch it with your wand and the magic in the bracelet's will do the rest.'

'So, we should try them now that way you can see if we look like ourselves or someone else,' Sirius said taking one of the bracelet's, Harry took the other one.

'At least they would suit a bloke,' Harry said staring at the wide gold band with pictures of magical animals carved into it.

'These were lost long before I began at Hogwarts. As with most things that get found, we check to see if we can find the owner but we also check for any magic that might be on the item. These were clean. We never did find out who owned them. From what the Grey Lady said, they have been at Hogwarts for around four hundred years. So how about you think of what you wish to look like?'

'I think we should look like father and son. Everyone knows I look like my father but with my mother's eyes.'

'That's a good idea. Everyone knows I don't have any children and my brother died years ago, so resembling you will work. So, any idea's?'

'What about having that blond hair that muggle surfers have? It's sort of golden, in a way.'

'I know what you mean. Yes, that would work. So, honey blond hair. What about eye colour?'

'Blue, blond hair goes well with blue eyes.'

Sirius and Harry kept talking until they worked out exactly how they wanted to look. Once they could visualise it, they slipped the bracelet's on then touched their wands to them.

Albus smiled, 'Perfect and anyone that saw you would believe you are father and son, but Harry is not a perfect copy of how you look Sirius. Yes, that will work. Your scar is also gone. Even though it's not gone, people will not see it. Now here is the address of a house that we used during the first war as a safe house. It overlooks the seine, with no close neighbours which will give both of you some privacy. The floo is connected for just calls, not travel and it is still warded, but it does not have anything as powerful as the fidelius charm. The normal muggle repelling charms are there so again you will have some protection. The key is the portkey that will take you straight there.'

Sirius took the note, 'Well, we should get going. Hopefully, it won't take you long to get fudge to realise the truth.'

'It's difficult since he only listens to Lucius Malfoy. Harry explained he was one of the death eaters that turned up that night. No, I don't believe I will have any luck with Cornelius. Voldemort will have to be seen before that happens. I must get back to Hogwarts before the students arrive. I'm sure Dolores Umbridge will inform Cornelius you are not there, Mr Potter.'

Harry sighed. Dumbledore had gone all formal, 'Probably Professor,' Harry looked into the blue eyes of Albus Dumbledore, 'Thank you for all this Professor. Maybe in time things between us can change.'

'I hope they do my boy. But I do understand why we may never be as close as I hoped. Now go with your godfather and settle in.'

Albus left Grimmauld place, Harry and Sirius took hold of the portkey. Neither spoke, Sirius just tapped the portkey with his wand and they were whisked away from the house and from England. Sirius planned to make some more portkeys, for emergency's, just in case. He also figured since they looked different, they could visit other countries and set up a house in those countries but warded with the fidelius charm. He could then work on portkeys to each house. The original order of the phoenix learned how to make portkeys for their safety. If for any reason they had to leave in a hurry, they would have homes to go to.

By that night, when everyone found out Harry Potter did not turn up at Hogwarts, many began to panic, they were the ones that did believe him about Voldemort. Many others who had been listening to Fudge realised maybe the-boy-who-lived was telling the truth. If he was and the ministry was against him along with Voldemort being after him, then that would be the reason for Harry leaving. They believed Harry would only leave if what he had been saying was the truth.

Some of the older Slytherin's looked furious. They had been given the job of slipping Potter a portkey to take him to Voldemort. Now Potter was gone which could mean Voldemort would be angry and at them. Dolores Umbridge was furious, she was going to speak with Cornelius so she could force through a law to make the potter brat return to Hogwarts.

Little did she realise that no matter what law was brought in, Harry potter was gone and would never return to Hogwarts. He may return to England but not until he had years of training and even then, he wasn't sure he wanted to help the people in England. The ones he did like, friends, they had family so they had people to rely on and help. He would talk to Sirius about that but only after Harry felt he could finally protect himself and Sirius was cleared.

When Albus explained to his staff the reasons why Harry Potter will never return to Hogwarts, he made sure to look at Severus so the man would realise he was one of Harry's main reasons. His attitude and how he treated the boy and hated him before he even got to know him. Albus also made sure they knew that Harry was the chosen one and only he could kill Voldemort. Harry was gone, now they had to deal with the consequences. It might have been his idea for Harry to leave, but if he didn't, Albus thought there was a risk that Harry could end up killing. Harry might have just decided to leave without telling anyone, then he would never help. Albus still wasn't sure if Harry would help, but he hoped being away and with Sirius just might bring out Harry's caring side.

Severus realised his mistake. If Potter did not return it would mean the dark lord would win, which meant Severus would be once again one of his death eaters, which could also mean death. He was walking a fine line, acting as a death eater but spying on Voldemort so Albus would have the information he might need. He would have to get creative so any suspicion would not be aimed his way, but at others. Severus would make sure the suspicion were aimed at the most deadly of death eaters. Sometimes that will not work, which could mean sacrificing others and younger death eaters. But it was war and if they didn't win this war it could mean being ruled by Voldemort.

The letter's that were published in the Quibbler had more people panicking but also many were angry. Fudge ended up being bad mouthed by everyone and if he was seen in public, he ended up being covered in dung or having rotten fruit thrown at him. Everyone called for an enquiry as to why Sirius Black wasn't given a trial and why Fudge didn't take the information to the aurors when Harry Potter explained that his godfather was innocent. Fudge knew he would end up gone from the ministry, it was too late to fix anything.

It was almost at the end of the school year when Voldemort was finally seen. He had gone to the ministry to try to get hold of the prophecy. What he didn't know was the order of the phoenix had been there and when the fighting started, it brought aurors, but also brought fudge to the ministry. Fudge knew right then that he could end up in Azkaban or even dead.

Harry had sent information to Dumbledore about the visions he kept having and one of the visions was of Sirius being tortured by Voldemort in a room with a lot of spheres. Albus knew exactly where that was and why Voldemort had sent that vision to Harry. Sirius was right beside Harry when he had to vision so he knew it was fake, but it also helped Albus set up an ambush for Voldemort and his death eaters when they they turned up at the ministry.

The order captured or injured every death eater, including Bellatrix Lestrange and Lucius Malfoy. Voldemort escaped but not before a big fight between him and Dumbledore. Voldemort only escaped when he got injured by Dumbledore, but many finally got to see just how powerful Albus Dumbledore was. No one wanted to get on the wrong side of such a powerful person. Instead of being sent to Azkaban where Voldemort would just rescue them again, the death eaters were hidden in a secret jail that was under the fidelius charm. The secret keeper was known to only three people, two of the people was Amelia Bones and Albus Dumbledore. The secret keeper was Filius Flitwick as most would never believe he would be involved. As he was a teacher, he was not linked to the ministry in any way then add how he was discriminated against due to being half goblin, again most would never believe the head of the DMLE would use him. What many people liked was when the Lestrange's and Lucius Malfoy had been captured. They were now known as death eaters so the ministry could confiscate their vaults which would hurt Voldemort, but it would also hurt Draco and Narcissa Malfoy. They could no longer get any money. Whenever another death eater was caught, they would also go to this secret jail and their vaults confiscated.

It was the day after people found out that Voldemort was really back that hundreds turned up at the ministry and the Daily Prophet. At the ministry, the angry mob stormed the minister's office. They threatened Fudge so he would quit, he did when he realised if he didn't, he would not be able to leave his minister's office otherwise he would be cursed. The people that turned up at the Daily Prophet destroyed all their printing presses, then wanted Rita Skeeter and the editor arrested for the lies they printed about Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore. By the time the aurors arrived, the building was destroyed, but the editor and skeeter were bound, by magic and muggle ropes.

Dolores Umbridge was arrested when it was revealed she had been using torture on muggleborn students. She was tried straight away, found guilty and sentenced to twenty five years, but like the death eaters, she was sent to the secret prison.

Voldemort was furious. He lost not only his best death eaters, he also lost their money and he never got hold of the prophecy. Albus Dumbledore had told him he had it destroyed, now, only a few knew what the whole prophecy said and none of them could ever give away that information.

From then on, things changed. More death eaters were being caught. Between aurors and the order of the phoenix they saved many from being killed. Voldemort was losing his supporters without gaining more. The vampires refused to join him and only five werewolves did join him. The others refused. The giants were waiting, but right now they did not believe Voldemort could win.

It was two years since Harry Potter left, during that time he had done a lot of learning and training. Sirius did end up free, in France, until Fudge was out of office, then the new minister, Rufus Scrimgeour declared Sirius cleared of all charges.

Sirius was able to help train Harry but he also hired some professionals and not just wizards, but muggles. Harry thought knowing a lot of different things just might come in handy.

Harry staggered down the stairs, 'Sirius.'

'Harry,' Sirius grabbed his godson who was gripping his head, 'a vision?'

'Yes, he's planning an attack, on order members. He's going to set up multiple hits which will allow him to kill some before they can be rescued. He plans on attacking the Burrow himself since he knows how many there is and he knows about bill and charlie. It's where we need to be, ready, hidden.'

'And you use your new talent to take him out while I concentrate on the death eaters.'

'Exactly. Know one can know Sirius. It's against wizard law in England. They will give us to dementors.'

'No one will know, not even Remus. But no one will know we were even there. I'll send Albus a message about your vision, like we normally do. He will not believe we would turn up, then we'll get organised.'

It was only an hour later that Harry and Sirius, who were invisible and not using an invisibility cloak were hidden on the grounds at the Burrow. They could see Bill, Charlie, Arthur and the twins, along with a few other order members. They had heard that Molly, Ginny and Ron had gone to headquarters, along with Hermione. The rest of the order were either at headquarters, at Hogwarts or at the Burrow. No one would be remaining at their homes, as somehow Voldemort had found out where they lived.

It was hours later when the death eaters and Voldemort appeared, they surrounded they Burrow. The moment spells began to fly, Harry used his rifle and shot Voldemort, in the head and Sirius had been shooting death eaters. But the moment Voldemort fell, Harry and Sirius disappeared. No one knew they had been there and no one knew who it was that had killed Voldemort and his death eaters.

To use muggle guns against witches and wizards was a crime and would get you the dementors kiss. Harry and Sirius had a secret muggle storage shed where they kept their guns. They could apparate directly into the shed so no one ever saw them. The shed was in another home that they bought, one that no one knew about, not even Albus or Remus. They did use the house in France, mainly when they needed to sneak back into England or speak with Albus using the floo. But Harry and Sirius now lived in Canada.

Albus Dumbledore smiled. He had been alerted that Harry was at the Burrow. He might not have seen him but he knew the young man was there. Harry did what the prophecy said, he killed Voldemort. Albus also knew once he examined Voldemort's body and the death eater's bodies, that Harry and Sirius had used a method that would get them sent to Azkaban or kissed by a dementor. He would not reveal to anyone what he knew. For all anyone at the ministry would know is someone that wasn't linked to the Weasley's or the order, killed Voldemort. Once it was discovered that they were shot with a muggle weapon, word will get leaked that it was probably a muggleborn who had lost their family to Voldemort and his death eaters. There was many so finding the one that did it would be impossible. Albus decided it was too dangerous for anyone to find the reason Voldemort and the death eaters had died. He made sure he was invisible then used magic to remove all the muggle bullets. Now if the bodies were examined, it would just seem like magic had killed them.

Word spread quickly the following day about Voldemort being killed along with the death eaters he had with him when they attacked a wizard home.

'Do you think he will return now?' Ron asked as he stared at Hermione.

'I don't know. He never wrote or answered any of our letters. To me, it's like he has began a new life in France. My parents want to go to France for the holidays. I could try to find him, see if he will see me. You know Ginny keeps asking about Harry and if he will return?'

'We've all told her there's a chance none of us will see Harry again. She seems to think he will eventually return and want to be with her. For all we know, Harry's got a girlfriend. He could be married. He's nineteen now, many of us marry young.'

'It's possible. He would need to meet someone, get to know her and make sure he can trust her. Only then will he allow himself to get close. Living with Sirius might have allowed Harry to open his heart. I suppose we will just hope to hear from him one day.

It was only a year later that the Quibbler published some photo's of Harry Potter and his wife. The photo's were taken at the wedding which was held only a week before. The statement Harry released mentioned how he met Sarah a week after he turned seventeen, they had been together ever since. There were also pictures of Sirius with his wife, who he met a year before. It was when Hermione had shown Ginny the magazine that she realised her dreams had been just that, dreams, dreams that didn't come true.

From the day Harry Potter acted like he didn't care about anyone or anything, ended up being the best day of his life.
