Prologue: START of a New Life!
Opening my eyes, I woke up with a jolt, lying in a bed, and I found myself in an unfamiliar place. Turning my head, I looked across the room, feeling confused and panicked but strangely calm at the same time.
Once my panic dissipated a bit, I got out of bed and checked my surroundings, finding myself in what appeared to be an apartment which mainly consisted of the main room, kitchenette, and bathroom.
The main room was furnished with the aforementioned bed next to a nightstand with a lamp on top and a vintage Doraemon alarm clock, an old square-shaped TV similar to the one my family used to have, a wooden desk, a wooden bookshelf filled with various books, and other miscellaneous furniture, including a full-length mirror too. Overall, it looked like a pretty nice place.
As I looked around and admired the place, I looked down at my hands and was shocked by what I discovered. My normally tanned hands now appeared slightly younger and had taken on a more fair skin tone.
Shocked by this, I quickly went towards the mirror in the room to see my reflection. To my surprise, there stood the reflection of a young teenage Japanese boy, possibly 15 to 16 years old and average height, with white-silver hair and wearing blue pajamas. His blue eyes stared back at me with an expression of shock and confusion. This couldn't be real; this can't be happening right now!
Hesitantly, I slowly brought a hand to my face and pinched my cheek, causing a slight pain as I watched the reflection of my new appearance perfectly copy me, which only confirmed my suspicion that this wasn't a dream yet remained calm despite the growing sense of fear in my heart upon seeing this. That is until-
[Gamer's Mind] has been activated!
A brief moment later, it disappeared leaving me shocked once more at what I just saw. Was that what I think it was...?
Not long after, I was suddenly caught off guard by another screen and stared in disbelief. However, I quickly shook my head and composed myself as I began reading the screen's text.
Welcome [Gamer]!
You have been granted [The Gamer] ability by [?] and have been reincarnated into a new world based on a piece of fiction you know.
The [Gamer System] is a tool that will allow you, the host, to grow and reach unimaginable levels of power similar to that of a video game character depending on how the host plays the game.
Whatever paths, choices, and experiences you make will all be solely up to you. Now, enjoy your new life, Gamer!
After reading that, the first thought that came to mind was-
"What?"
I muttered in shock, my eyes widening further as I tried to process what I had just read. I pinched my right cheek once more to make sure this really wasn't a dream, even twisting it and feeling the stinging pain of it. This wasn't a dream; this was all real.
I reread the entire screen to make sure that what I just read was indeed what it said. There's no mistake here. Somehow, someway I had woken up, reincarnated, and had become [The Gamer]. Just like the manhwa once read.
Thinking about it made me once again made me question. How did I end up in this situation? I then tried to remember what I'd done before. The last thing I remembered was coming home after a pretty long day and falling asleep immediately on the bed. After that I now find myself waking up to here in this place which leads up to this point.
I turned to the mirror once more and finally noticed above my head to find my current Level and new name as well as [The Gamer] being displayed on top.

So that's my name now huh? Hiroshi Kokoro or I guess Kokoro, Hiroshi. If I recall correctly, my given name Hiroshi means 'Generous' while my surname means 'Soul'. Put them together and my name basically means 'Generous Soul' I believe.
Anyway, I went and sat down on my bed, pondering to myself but not before turning to the screen and closing it, watching it disappear. I sat on my bed, deep in thought on what to do after what I learned today.
However, before I could ponder any further, another screen and a couple of notifications popped up, which surprised me yet caught my attention as I checked them.

So I'm 16 years old, huh? And if I'm in Japan, that would mean I should be around high school. In my first year, to be precise.
Anyway, I went and sat on my bed, knees in front as I took a good look at my [Status]. Looking at my current stats, they are pretty low with only INT and WIS, which I assume we're short for Intelligence and Wisdom respectively, being note-worthy and the highest stats standing with both at 6. My second highest is LUK while the rest of my stats are around either 3 to 4. But then again I'm currently Level 1 so it's normal, plus that will change over time once I start gaining EXP and Leveling Up later on. Anyway, the tutorial continued as I paid attention.
Stats can be increased by performing special actions, training, completing [Quests, or by using Stat Points gained when leveling up (5 Stat Points per Level Up).
As expected, I can naturally increase my stats on my own just like the Gamer fanfics I've read before and the original Manhwa.
Admittedly, it's been a while since I played any video games recently for that matter. It also seems like the Game was generous enough to give me 10 Stat Points right off the bat, which I can spend on any one of my base stats to increase them.
Anyway, I decided to save my Status Points for now and dismissed my [Status]. The tutorial continued.

Huh. So I get [Observe] right off the bat as well? Neat! I already expected both [Gamer's Mind] and [Gamer's Body] as I've already experienced the effects of the former from earlier. [Observe] will be very useful for me as well. I then closed the screen as the tutorial continued.
Now that you've seen your Skills, it's time to see your [Inventory]. Within your Inventory, you can also equip weapons, armor, and clothing to yourself. This will be shown on the left side of the screen. To open it, please say or think "[Inventory]".
'Inventory,' I think to myself, staring at the [Inventory] screen that had appeared in front of me upon saying it. Similar to the original Manhwa, the screen mainly consisted of various boxes on the right side while on the left was a picture of my current appearance. It also displayed the clothes I'm currently wearing or in this case have equipped.
Speaking of clothing, my current sleeping attire mainly consisted of a pair Of blue pajama pants and a long-sleeved shirt. I then turned back to the left side of my [Inventory] as I took a moment to admire my new appearance more closely. I have straight white-silver hair and dark blue eyes. I seem to have a pretty average, but decent face. My body was also decent and average. Not too skinny with a fair skin tone typical among most average students around my current age. Admittedly, I kinda looked like the main character from [Ao Oni, but without the glasses. Hell, we even share the same name no less!
Now that you've seen your [Inventory, it's time to finish this Tutorial by accessing your [Quests]. [Quests] accepted are displayed in this [Menu] and will allow you to keep track of your progress with them. You know the drill, say or think '[Quests]'.

As I expected once more, the screen appeared and was pretty empty except the '[Quest: [Tutorial: How To Play!]' at the top with a (Complete!) appearing right beside it before a new screen appeared.

By reaching Level 5, you have unlocked your [Affinity]. [Affinities] are attributes within people that grant them an aptitude towards a certain element and allow them to have a natural control of it. Some can possess multiple [Affinities, or none at all. EXP can be gained for a [Affinity] by using [Skills] related to their respective elements and each one can reach a maximum Level of 100. [Affinities] can be seen in your [Status] and can be viewed in the [Affinity] option for further details.
[Class System] Unlocked!
By reaching Level 5, you have unlocked the [Class System]. The [Class System] works by assigning yourself a role that will grant you extra Points in certain Stats once a [Class] has leveled up. Currently, you can only select one [Class] at the moment but in the future, the option to gain extra ones may appear. New [Classes] may appear once you reach the correct Level in a prerequisite [Class(es)] depending on requirements. To gain EXP for a [Class] you either have to defeat enemies or perform tasks that fit with the chosen [Class] and each one's maximum Level is 50. To be able to change to a different [Class, the currently equipped [Class] needs to have reached Level 10. Currently, the [Classes] available are [Squire] and [Chemist].
[Squire] - A basic [Class] for those who fight at close combat.

Wow! I gained both my [Affinity] and a [Class System] upon reaching Level 5. So I have a [Lightning Affinity], huh? Now that just sounds awesome, but I forget that for now and focus on my newly unlocked [Class System]. That being, choosing my first job between [Squire] and [Chemist], which are both from the [Final Fantasy Tactics] series of games. Admittedly, I've only ever played the one on [GBA] and never even got to complete it. Why? Don't ask, I don't remember.
Anyway, looking at each of them carefully, I thought about which one of these two would best suit me for now. Should I pick the [Squire] or the [Chemist]?
I may not be well-versed in the jobs of the Final Fantasy franchise, but I can at least understand enough of them to make a general choice.
On one hand, choosing the [Squire] class will help me grow physically and the ability to use [Battle Tech] may allow me to learn moves such as [Guard Up] and [First Aid], which can help me out during combat. On the other hand, [Chemist] is likely tied to magic, and the [Potion Creation] skill may help me create potions early on. Additionally, once I reach level 10 with it, I may unlock the [White Mage] and [Black Mage] classes.
Thinking over in thought, I'm feeling really tempted to take the [Chemist] class. The thought of using magic sounds pretty cool, however, I still wouldn't be able to do so until way later once level up the class to Level 10. It would take me a while but on the other hand. The [Squire] class will give me immediate access to [Battle Tech]. It may not be magic but it does give me a skillset that'll help me. Thus, I've made my decision.

Okay, that should be it for now. After that, I jumped back on my bed, startled as a new notification suddenly appeared.

Oh, thank God! Thank [Gamer's Mind] for that! I honestly thought my head was gonna blow up. It felt like I was experiencing multiple migraines all at once. Eventually, I calmed down as I started remembering the memories and experiences of my new background. This also allowed me to figure out where exactly I was and the universe I was in.
My name is Hiroshi Kokoro. I am a first-year Japanese high school student at the age of 16 years. I am the firstborn son to my parents, Mina Kokoro and Sanji Kokoro, younger brother to Hina Kokoro, and older brother to my younger sister, Mika Kokoro by just two years making her 14 years old and currently attending her third year in junior high.
Upon graduating junior high, I transferred to my new school here within the second week of April and moved into this apartment with financial support from my family, who I later learned were pretty rich. I sighed in relief, knowing that I didn't have to pay the rent on this place.
However, what shocked me was where I was currently living. Nerima. The same place as my current school, Furinkan High School, and soon to be home to a certain gender-bending martial artist. Oh God.
That's right, I now find myself in the world of [Ranma 1/2]. And, as you might expect, I am attending the same school as the various characters here. How do I know this is the case? Simple. I'm in the same class as the Tendo Heiress of Anything Goes herself, Akane Tendo. The other notable classmates I have include her friends, Sayori and Yuki, and Hikaru Gosunkugi. Neither Ranma nor Ukyo are present in my memories, meaning it's safe to say that this takes place before the canon story begins.
Admittedly, it's been a long time since I watched and read the anime and manga. However, I still remember the early arcs and some of the characters and events from the series. Knowing this, I knew I had to be strong for the future madness that would ensue once Ranma entered the picture.
But then again, I'm in the world of anime, and not just any anime - one of my favorite ones I have ever watched since my older sister introduced me to it during elementary school. I know that, despite the insane weirdness, this world is still dangerous, regardless.
From Ranma's rivals Tatewaki Kuno, Ryoga Hibiki, Mousse, Kodachi, Principal Kuno, and Hinako Ninomiya to even one-shot villains like Mikado, Copycat Ken, and the Dojo Destroyer. Even the villains in the manga, especially in the later arcs with both Herb and Saffron. I'm honestly a bit scared yet I can't help but feel excited at the anticipation of it all.
I am living in a literally in the world of [Ranma 1/2]. One of my favorite Shounen series that has in my opinion one of the best titular main protagonists.
Do I have a problem? Don't know. Maybe it's because I'm now living in a world that I once saw as nothing but fiction, and has become reality right before my eyes, or perhaps it's because I am now living every anime and manga fan's dream of living in one of their favorite series. Who knows, but as of now I need to adjust to my new life here, and this time I am going to enjoy this life to the fullest no matter what!
Fortunately, I had just the ability to help me gain the strength and power I needed to survive this crazy world and with it, I'll make sure of it.
Look out world! Cause I'll be ready for whatever crap you'll throw for I am [The Gamer]!
And thus began my new life here in this bizarre world full of insane rivals, fiancees, martial artists, gender benders, and magic!
I brought up my [Inventory] and grabbed all my [Skill Books] on top of my bed as I viewed each book laid out bed before me as I prepared myself for what I was about to attempt. I first picked up the one on [Mana Manapilution] and soon enough, a screen appeared in front of me.

Without much thought, I pressed 'Y' and took a step back in surprise as the book began to glow bright. The [Skill Book] turns into motes of light before absorbing themselves into me. As this was happening I felt the knowledge within the [Skill Book] being transferred into my mind.

I then check my [Status] to see my Stats and it's as I expected. I looked at my 30 Stat Points and distributed 20 of them to my stats adding three points to STR, VIT, DEX, and INT and 4 points each for END and WIS. Once I finished allocating my points, I then looked at the results speak for itself.

I then looked at my clock as it read 5:53 AM, reminding me that I had school today, thus prompting me to get ready for the day.

Without hesitating, I accepted the [Quest] and began to prepare for the day.
I went to the kitchenette to prepare something for breakfast and my lunch for later. I opened the fridge and took out a carton of milk, a few eggs, and other ingredients to begin preparing my food. I turned on the stove and placed the frying pan before adding cooking oil into the pan. I've also gone and started preparing some rice as well. However, as I prepare my food, I'm greeted by a couple of notifications and a new screen.

Dismissing it, I cracked open the eggs placed them inside a bowl, and added some salt before mixing them placing it all into the pan letting cook itself. I then added some seasonings as well as ketchup and made two omelets, one for breakfast and the other for lunch.
I placed one into my bento along with some rice before putting the other omelet on another plate and placing it on the table along with some rice. Once on the table I then dug into my food.
What can I say about my own cooking? Well, it was alright, probably a bit decent even. It wasn't great, but also wasn't anything bad at all, just average in my opinion. This will obviously change in the future but as of now, it was fine.
"At least it ain't Akane's cooking. How that girl can make food that awful in the show, I have no idea..." I muttered to myself at the thought of said character.
I quickly finished my meal and went into the bathroom to wash myself. Afterward, I dried myself with a towel before putting on my Furinkan High School uniform. Once finished, I got out of the bathroom and took a good look at myself in the mirror.
The Furinkan uniform I now wore, was a gakuran, consisting mainly of a dark, long-sleeved short-collared jacket and matching pants with a white collared shirt. I then fixed my hair a bit, making myself look more like Hiroshi from the comedic Ao Oni anime. Yes, I indeed have watched it okay?
Anyway, I checked the time and it read 6:34 AM. I grabbed my bag and checked twice then a third time, making sure I wasn't missing anything. I then exit through my apartment door and lock it before heading out. My destination, Furinkan High School.
Monday, May 11th, 1987
"Thank you so much, young man..." The elder lady said after walking her to the other side of the road.
"No problem!" I replied before continuing on my way.
I was walking through the streets of Nerima as I made my way towards Furinkan High School. Along the way, I did several smaller [Quests] as I continued my way forward. I helped a couple of elderly folks across the streets and helped a cat stuck on top of a tree although I ended up getting scratched a bit.
Not only that, but I've also begun using the [Observe] and spammed on everyone and everything I saw grinding the hell out of it. However, I got rewarded for my troubles in the end.

As I was making my way I suddenly came to a halt upon hearing commotion coming from a nearby alleyway. Curious, I tried to see what was happening without getting noticed as I silently watched the scene that was unfolding.
There I saw two thug-like boys cornering and looming over some girl at the end of the alley. One of them wore a purple gakuran with his hands covered in white bandages and had brown hair in pompadour while the other wore a white shirt and had his jacket worn as if it were a cape with a black mohawk. Overall, they looked like your typical Japanese delinquents.
They were pretty tall as they both stood there, looking down on the girl. One of them, the pompadour punk, spoke. "Listen here, girly. Come with us nicely an' we won' hurt ya, ya hear?" The guy said, a perverted smile plastered on his face as stared down the her with lustful eyes.
"You heard my friend here, so either we do this the easy way or the hard way, Furinkan bitch." His friend added, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder and making her more scared as he lewdly stared down at her.
Upon seeing this, I felt anger and disgust at this scene but I held myself back. I looked past the two boys and took in the girl's appearance and like the mohawk guy said, she was a fellow student at Furinkan High.
She was a cute girl around the same age as me with short light-brown hair and freckles. She wore the typical Furinkan girl uniform which consisted mainly of a long-sleeved white shirt over an aquamarine dress. I then used [Observe] on her and the two thugs.

Speaking of thugs, I then read the info I got and I wasn't surprised as much as expected. Although, the Purple Vipers Gang piqued my interest. I have never heard of them nor have I recalled any gang mentioned in [Ranma 1/2]. But then again, that was fiction and this was reality now.

I quickly accepted it without looking as I saw the pompadour punk about reach his hand on the girl's chest with the intent to grope her, his friend doing the same while holding the girl tight and preventing her from escaping. I couldn't hold it anymore and raised my voice.
"Get your dirty hands off her, assholes!" I shouted, making my presence known as I finally stepped into the alley. My sudden arrival and outburst surprised them as I stopped whatever.
For a moment, the two thugs and the girl stared at me in stunned silence. However, the thugs quickly shook their heads and sneered at me as they began talking. "Oh? The hell ya supposed to be, whitey?" The mohawk punk taunted.
As for me, I slowly walked forward before stopping just a short distance from them as stood there, my eyes glaring at both the thugs and spoke. "The name's Hiroshi and I suggest you let my fellow student go before I make you, pal."
"Ha! As if. Shinji, teach this fucker a lesson." The mohawk punk, Araki, said turning to his pompadour punk, Shinji.
"With pleasure." Shinji eagerly says, readying a pair of brass knuckles before heading towards me to attack, wanting to beat me up.
Anticipating this, I reacted quickly and managed to dodge the first strike before hitting him with a fist to his face, causing him to stagger back while holding a hand to his face.

Araki and the girl stared in shock, however, before he or the girl could process what had just happened I once again took the momentary distraction and rushed towards him.
Araki, still keeping hold of the girl's arm, tried to act fast, however, he was too late as I quickly got in front of him and delivered a hard punch straight to the face, breaking his nose.

Araki screamed in pain and released his hold on the girl, allowing her to immediately get away as he held his hand to his now broken and bloody nose.
The girl ran and hid behind me as I kept my guard up to protect her. Not long after, Araki stopped screaming, now sporting a pissed-off expression on his bloody face as he glared daggers at me.
"YOU MOTHERFUCKER, I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" he shouted as he went into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife before quickly charging right at me. However, I was twice as fast as him easily dodged his attack, and quickly countered with another punch to the head, which knocked him out as well.
Once he was down, I turned around and faced the girl. She had a shocked expression as she stared at me in awe. I carefully placed both my hands on her shoulders and gently spoke to her. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
Hearing my voice, the girl snapped out of her dazed state and realized how close we were along with my hands on her shoulders, the girl got flustered with her checking blushing red in embarrassment. "I-I-I yes! I'm fine, t-thank you very much!" The girl said, shyly looking away and making her look cute.
"I see. Glad I could help!"
This of course made me blush, but I managed to remain calm and composed as I slowly removed my hands from her shoulders. After calming ourselves down for a bit, we once again turned to each other.
"Thank you, again for saving me. If you hadn't come then I don't what would have happened to me." She said sincerely as she smiled at me, some red still dusting on her cheeks.
"No problem, I just couldn't stand by and let a fellow student of mine get harmed or hurt," I said, giving her a smile of my own.
"Then could I please get your name?" The girl asked, cheerfully.
"I see. Allow me to introduce myself," I placed a hand on my chest and gave a polite bow to her. "My name is Kokoro Hiroshi. A first-year student at Furinkan High, Class 1-F." I said, smiling.
"Wow, we're in the class together! Well then, my name is Sasaki Hiroko. First-year student at Furinkan and also in Class 1-F." Hiroko said, cheerfully smiling causing me to blush a bit.
Anyway, after introducing each other, I checked the time on my watch as it now read 6:47 AM. "We should probably get to school quickly or else we'll be late. You go on ahead I'll catch up." I said showing her the time as she nodded and immediately ran off.
Once out of sight, I'm greeted by the following notifications and screens soon appear before me.

Nice. After seeing the notifications and gaining access to the [Relationship Menu] I went to each of the down delinquents looted both of their weapons and put them into my [Inventory] for my own. Afterward, I quickly ran out of the alleyway to catch up to Hiroko as we ran as fast as we could, hoping to get to our class in time.
Furinkan High School
Arriving at Furinkan High on time, we entered through the school gate and headed straight for the main school building. Once inside, Hiroko and I made our way to our classroom located on the third floor.
Entering the room, both of us then turn to each other, smiling and nodding before going to our respective seats in the classroom.
Hiroko went to her friends whom I recalled from the show and my life was named Yuka, Sayuri, and Asami. As for me, I took my seat near the window in the middle left side of the room.
I turned in Hiroko's direction, watching them engage in conversation about some topic although judging by their shocked expression and a few glances aimed my way, I had a good idea of what. I simply ignore the looks as I'm used to such things in my previous life.
As I sat down, I took a moment to look around and used [Observe] on some of my classmates for any potential information or benefit for the future. The first being a certain outcast seated at the back of the class by himself.

Okay, I may not have seen the show for a while but I did NOT recall her being the daughter of any Yakuza group nor was it mentioned in the manga.
If this is actually true then I guess I can sort of see why she still remains friends with Akane and can tolerate the other shit that happens with Ranma and the gang throughout the series. I then turn to the other and sigh in relief upon seeing their info.

Pretty accurate. I remembered them being seen a little more frequently in the anime as they hung out with Ranma, being his sort of friends and supporters. However, I also remember them abandoning him sometimes and not even bothering to help him out when faced with some tough situations and/or troubling scenarios.
Compared to Akane's friends, Yuka and Sayuri as well as Hiroko and Asami, those girls are more loyal and genuinely care for Akane. Hell, I even remember bits of them cheering her up when she was down and even trying to get her and Ranma together.
Honestly, I have no interest in being friends with them, although I do find it kinda amusing sharing the same first name as one of them. However, I'll still keep an eye on them sometimes just in case as you'll never know what can happen in this world, especially here in Nerima folks.
Anyway, this got me thinking of my situation here.m that being in one of my favorite anime/manga series of all time. To be honest, I'd be lying if I said, I didn't have mixed feelings being here.
Again. On one hand, I felt both excitement and nostalgia at the fact I'm now living in the same world as one of my favorite protagonists and being given the chance to meet them in person along with other characters, but on the other, Im once again reminded again of the potential risks and dangers here, despite how wacky and insane this series can get soon.
This also got me thinking about my presence here and how I could potentially change the course of events in the canon story. Perhaps I could try to help and try to fix certain events, or at the very least try to alleviate some of the crazy shit here. However, this could also cause consequences for doing so and lead to drastic changes later down the line due to the butterfly effect.
Knowing this, I'll try to keep any changes I make to a minimum, as my knowledge of the series is limited and hazy. So, yeah. Not much.
Before I could think further, I was suddenly cut off from my deep thoughts by the sound of commotion coming from outside. Having a very good idea of what was happening, I along with some of my classmates quickly looked outside the windows.
From the window, I watched as a group of guys wearing various sports attire and carrying tools emerged from the school building entrance towards the school gates. They appeared prepared to fight, yelling a mix of lines ranging from declarations of love and requests for dates.
There I saw two figures whom I immediately recognized running towards the school gate entrance. A girl with blue hair and wearing the short-sleeved version of our school's female uniform, and a pigtailed boy wearing a red sleeveless Chinese shirt and black pants. It was them. Ranma and Akane.
I watched as the familiar duo of characters and the hentai horde rushed toward each other. Once they got close, I then heard her shout a familiar line.
"I HATE MEN!"
As I watched in both awe, shock, and amazement, my eyes looked down at the scene before me as the girl proceeded to continue rushing forward with an angry expression on her face while beating the horde of boys, plowing through and launching them out of her way; meanwhile, I saw the familiar pigtailed boy simply sitting crouched down on top of the fence wall, watching the scene unfold and looking at Akane with a hint of awe.
As for me, this felt much more different than I ever would have felt. Back in my previous life, I remember watching this and being quite surprised and intrigued by this scene when I first saw it, so seeing this same scene playing out in real life felt like a much more different experience than on TV as watching it actually happening was a surreal and exhilarating experience, that and the nostalgia kicking in as well.
Not a moment later, Kuno appears making his dramatic entrance and wearing his signature attire from the manga and anime. As I expected, he started talking, dramatically greeting Akane and throwing a red rose toward her which she catches with ease.
Then Ranma jumps down, landing next to Akane, and the whole meeting between him and Kuno happens similar to canon with Kuno threatening Ranma and introducing himself while proclaiming himself as the rising star of Furinkan High, 'The Blue Thunder'. Of course, clouds begin covering the sky as the sound of thunder, accompanied by dramatic lightning.
This of course made me laugh a little. Of course, the moment Ranma says he was living with Akane, Kuno becomes enraged and starts attacking him, swinging his bokken at him as the pigtailed martial artist jumps out of the way while introducing himself as the heir to the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts and accepting Kuno's challenge.
As you would expect, the other students watching heard this and instantly got interested in seeing the upcoming battle between the two.
The two began battling with Kuno charged head first, his wooden bokken held high while Ranma dodged out of the way and onto a nearby tree as Kuno struck the wall behind his previous spot and watched him bring ing his bokken down and cut through the concrete stone. Of course, Kuno quickly turned and continued his assault on Ranma, chopping down the tree as well all while they continued exchanging words.
The rest of the scene plays out like in canon with Akane getting angry, throwing his bag at him with Kuno cutting it in half and Ranma launching himself forward towards him as Ranma strikes him on the forehead while Kuno's bokken hits striking his shoulder.
However, it soon begins raining, and before Ranma can transform in front of me and the other students watching Genma, now in panda form and carrying a kettle with hot water, appears and rushes straight towards Ranma, knocking Kuno out of the way and grabbing hold of his son before taking him somewhere out of prying eyes, shocking most of the students except me as I watched the whole thing with a mix of both shocked amazement and nostalgia. That was honestly both surreal and awesome. Watching this iconic fight happen in person was an entirely new experience for me and my mind, and I love it!
I then looked down to see Akane quickly shake her head and run towards where Ranma and his dad went off, most likely some school shed or something as I and the other students went back to our seats to prepare for our class.
I and the rest of my class soon began properly taking our respective seats as our teacher entered our classroom.
He was a bespectacled middle-aged man wearing black pants and shoes along with a short-sleeved white shirt and a red and white-striped necktie with a bored and seemingly depressed face. In other words, he was your average and pretty forgettable teacher. Nevertheless, I and the entire class politely greeted the man and began the roll call.
A few moments later, as expected, Akane and Ranma entered the room late, panting a bit, at least for Akane while Ranma looked fine. This also gave me a much closer look at their appearance and wow, I forgot Akane used to have longer hair in the beginning! Other than that, she looked just as I had imagined she would; navy blue hair, brown eyes, and fair skin, and wearing the short-sleeved girl's uniform. She made a quick bow and apology before heading to her seat. Ranma, of course, stood in front of the entire class.
I and my classmates got a good closer look at our new transfer student with some of the girls in our class giving interested looks at the cursed martial artist, including one of Akane's friends, Asami.
Admittedly, much to my slight envy towards the guy, Ranma definitely looked like a stud. He had a pretty above-average height and a strong, athletic build no doubt from his constant training since childhood. He had black hair styled into his signature pigtail tied by the Dragon Whisker, if I recalled correctly, and blue eyes. He wore one of his signature Chinese-style attire, consisting of a red sleeveless shirt, a pair of black pants, and slip-on shoes. Overall, he looked pretty darn handsome for a guy his age.
Our teacher then stood up and with a dull tone announced to the whole class. "Alright everyone, today we have a new transfer student. His name is Ranma Saotome and from what I heard, he and his father had traveled around China and have only recently returned from his trip. So let's all give him a warm welcome 'Nihao!' now."
Of course, most of my class simply stared boredly as the man looked dead tired while laughing a bit before dying down. As for Ranma, he simply stood there. I look above his head to see his level. I was not disappointed and felt surprised even.
[Heir of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts]
Lvl 25. Ranma Saotome
Yep, he's definitely the real deal. I mean look at his Level, he's nineteen levels above mine and he's a martial arts prodigy. Knowing this, I'll certainly get my ass kicked in my current state if I ever fought him.
"Ahem."
I'm then taken from our teacher purposely clearing his throat as he spoke in a stern tone. "However, that doesn't change the fact that both you and Tendo arrived late to class. Stand in the hall. Get to it."
I watched as angry Akane and Ranma left the classroom, both of them carrying two buckets filled with water in each hand as they stood outside the school hall. A few of my classmates started muttering with each other before the teacher settled us down and started our lesson for the day. As for me, I half-heartedly listened while I waited for what would inevitably come.
And I wasn't disappointed as a moment later, the sounds of footsteps and shouts of a certain Shakespearean samurai wannabe could be heard outside followed by the splashing of water as well as the surprised voice of Ranma. The rest of the class then overhear outside, curiosity and intrigue catching our attention as we listen in on the conversation happening outside until-
"I shall NEVER accept your engagement to Akane Tendo!"
And with that, chaos ensued within the classroom as the entire class immediately rushed towards the inner windows, even crushing Gosunkugi and leaving him on the floor, and slamming open the window as they began firing questions overwhelming both Ranma and Akane regarding their newly revealed revelation between the two.
As for me, I simply stood from my desk and went up to our teacher, who desperately tried to reign in the rest of the class but was ignored. I politely asked him for permission to leave the room under the excuse of going to the restroom. He looked genuinely surprised by my behavior, but quickly snapped out of it and allowed me. I bowed my head to him and left the room.
However, I had other plans as I quickly made my way to the school roof. As shown by this new [Quest] of mine.

Description: The protagonist drives the story forward and is the one who usually overcomes any hardships they may face. However, they also have friends that help them along the way, whether supporting them from afar or fighting alongside them, they'll be there in their time of need, and in the case of Ranma, he'll definitely need as many REAL friends as he could In his life.

Without hesitation, I immediately accepted the [Quest] upon seeing the rewards as I continued my way toward the school roof.
There, I looked down at where the pool was and watched Ranma and Kuno jump out of the window from the third floor they started plummeting toward the pool as the rest of the scene played out as usual with both of them landing on the pool with Kuno floating on the pool and Ranma deep underwater and now a girl trying desperately to flee the scene without being seen.
Just as she's about to reach the edge of the pool, Kuno grabs onto the now female Ranma, unintentionally grabbing hold of one of her breasts. This resulted in Ranma taking hold of Kuno and slamming him hard onto the concrete ground before immediately somersaulting over the fence and fleeing the scene.
I quickly went down the stairs and exited the school premises, grabbing a kettle with hot water while on the way, as I ran as fast as I could to reach where Ranma was heading. This was my chance and I wasn't going to miss it!
I ran as much as I could and luckily managed to find where Ranma was relatively easy as I saw the wet female martial artist, without her pants on, trying to squeeze them dry while panting and ranting to herself about what had transpired moments ago it seemed, as I listen in on her grumbling.

"What a pervert. I mean he didn't have ta squeeze me that hard!" She ranted as she sat on top of a tree branch, still squeezing and twisting her damp pants dry with an irritated expression on her cute face. "Well, I guess now he knows about me."
'Welp, here goes nothing!'
"Hey! Do you need help over there?" I said, catching her by surprise as I made my presence to her known holding out the hot kettle in my hand. Ranma looked in my direction, her eyebrows raised noticing my presence.
"Eh, who the hell are you?" The boy-turned-girl asked as she gracefully landed on the ground with a confused expression.
"My name's Hiroshi Kokoro, part of Class 1-F. You're Ranma Saotome, right? I'm one of your classmates." I replied, giving her a polite smile.
"Yeah-I mean!" I watched as Ranma suddenly twisted her body into an innocent stance, her big blue eyes blinking in adorable confusion. "Ranma? I don't know who that is mister~"
I found this amusing, but quickly shook my head. "I'm a little familiar with magic and I've heard of Jusenkyo. I also saw what happened after you fell into the pool earlier." Technically true, as I've still recall some knowledge of Jusenkyo.
I watched as she held her facade for a bit longer before clicking her tongue in annoyance. "Agh! If I knew I was already busted to the whole school I would've kicked that damn samurai way harder."
"Hey, don't worry! They still haven't made any connection yet, just me." I said, still holding onto the warm kettle as I finally took in her appearance up close.
All I can say is this, she may possibly be one of the most beautiful girls in my eyes. She had beautiful red hair and was a few millimeters shorter compared to her male form. Her red Chinese shirt was damp and molded over her very impressively big bust and had a short waist and wide hips. Her black pants draped over her shoulder, leaving her gleaming, sculptured legs on display for all eyes to see. Bits of her male boxers showed themselves underneath the hem of her shirt with each step as she made her way toward me before standing just a few steps away.
She truly looked amazing, giving off an exotic yet cute and beautifully sexy allure to her appearance. It's no wonder why a lot of guys were smitten by her. However, I quickly shook myself of those thoughts and gave her the kettle.
I watch as she graciously takes the kettle off my hands before pouring the warm water on herself as I stand witness to the transformation, her body quickly changing as Ranma reverts back into her male form before my eyes. Once transformed into a guy again, he quickly squeezes his pants two more times and puts them back on.
"Hey, thanks for that!" Ranma said, smiling as he thanked me. I returned with a friendly smile, a genuine one as I held my right hand out to him.
"No problem, man. Say wanna be friends?" I asked, still holding my hand out. Ranma looked a bit surprised by the sincere gesture. He hesitated at first but shook my hand nonetheless and smiled, marking the birth of a new friendship.

"Heh, sure thing." He said, smiling happily. However, we're soon brought out of the moment by the arrival of a certain tomboy. We both turned to see Akane running in our direction, kettle in hand as she spotted Ranma. For me, I took this moment to look above her head to see her tag and it was just as I expected.

Lvl 15. Akane Tendo
"Just how dumb can you be?" Akane began, approaching Ranma as she continued. "I mean jumping into a pool of your free will-" She cut herself, realizing Ranma was male again. Shocked, she then turned to me, finally noticing my presence. Seeing this, I decided to introduce myself.
"Hello, Tendo-san. My name is Kokoro Hiroshi, nice to meet you." I said, giving a short bow.
"Tendo Akane, nice to meet you." She introduced herself and gave a curt bow. Afterward, we explained to her what happened here, with me aware of Ranma's curse and coming, wanting to help him.
"I see... Then thanks Kokoro-san." Akane said, giving a polite smile my way which I returned. However, our meeting was soon cut short as we heard the voice of a certain annoying upperclassman.
"Wither Ranma Saotome?!" Kuno shouted, turning his head before spotting the three of us as he began to approach us, noticing Ranma and Akane.
Akane stayed on guard and Ranma took on his stance, ready to fight. As for me, I simply stood from the sidelines for now, right next to the tree as I watched this scene play out.
Normally, in canon, this was where Kuno, not aware of Ranma's curse, saw girl-Ranma for the second time and got defeated by her, witnessing her skill as she beat him unconscious. This would then cause Kuno to start falling in love with Ranma's female form for the rest of the series, not once realizing it was Ranma the entire time.
However, things may change now with Ranma being male again, meaning Kuno may not fall in love with Girl-Ranma due to my interference. Anyway, I'm brought back from my deep thoughts as I watch this new scene unfold.
"There you are Saotome! Thought you could escape my righteous retribution, foul fiend?" Kuno proclaimed, pointing his bokken towards Ranma, ignoring my presence as he then turned his head to Akane. "And it would seem the fair Akane Tendo is here too. Very well! You and I shall continue our duel for the right to take her hand in marriage!"
I watched as the battle between the two began with Kuno being the first to attack, his bokken held high in both hands as he charged straight towards Ranma.
Ranma saw this coming and effortlessly moved his body, dodging his attack with ease. Kuno tried to strike him again but Ranma dodged it and land landed a fist straight at Kuno's face, causing him to stagger back a bit before quickly composing himself. Oh, he looks angry now.
Angered, Kuno went straight at him and started rapidly thrusting his bokken forward. Ranma looked caught off guard, but he immediately regained his focus and avoided Kuno's strikes still. As for me, I looked in amazement at the fight. I turned to Akane and saw her watching the fight in what appeared to be shock and awe.
That fight continued as I watched the two fight with Ranma dodging Kuno's attacks with ease and landing quick and precise punches and kicks at him as Kuno slowly began struggling against the pigtailed martial artist as the fight raged on.
During this time, I had watched the fight whole thing with rapt attention as I found myself enraptured by the display of skill and martial prowess before my eyes. Eventually, the one-sided fight draws to a close with Ranma landing several high-speed kicks at Kuno, knocking the guy onto the ground cold. Ranma then walks over to both me and Akane with a satisfied look on his face.
"Well, that takes care of that. So, what did ya think?" Ranma said, turning to the both of us. Akane was still in shocked awe, but as for me?
"That was so cool! The way you dodged his strikes and the way you fought back, it was amazing!" I couldn't help but say my exact thought out loud, it truly was awesome even if it was a one-sided fight. However, I didn't care as I truly found myself mesmerized by it all.
Like any fan of anime and manga, I dreamed of experiencing an actual fight in real life. Now that I have, it was much more different than viewing it from TV or still images and after seeing it firsthand moments ago, it now left a big impact on me and this was only one of many to come.
Knowing this, I felt inspired and excited by it. However, I'm also reminded of the dangers that come with it, and with my current level and strength, I may not last long In this world. Fortunately, I had a blessing in the form of [The Gamer] ability and I was certainly going to use this to my advantage no matter what.
Looking back moments ago, all I could do was watch as Ranma fought while I just stood there on the sidelines. Realizing this I felt sort of useless yet there was nothing much I could do. If I tried to fight alongside Ranma, then I would most likely just get in the way, and knowing this made me feel inadequate.
Back in my previous life, Ranma was one of my favorite characters. He may not have been one of the strongest but I didn't care, he felt different and unique compared to other Shonen protagonists and I honestly looked up to him.
Not only that, I often felt bad for him whenever he got punished or blamed for something he wasn't at fault for, it sometimes made me angry at the other characters for this. It kinda reminded me of my own life back then, not as exaggerated as Ranma's, but similar and it made me relate to Ranms in a way that felt nice.
I truly wanted to be Ranma's friend, but can I really call myself such if I just stood there and watch? No, it wouldn't sit right with me and if I did, then I'd be no different than those two, Hiroshi Sato and Daisuke Yamada.
And with that, I made my decision. I was gonna grow strong, not only for myself but for Ranma and the people who I care for. I was gonna train or in this case, grind myself to the top and become powerful. I don't why I was reincarnated into this world, but if this is my one and only second chance in life then I'm not letting this opportunity slip by me!
God that sounded cliche, but doesn't make it any less true.
"Hey, are you okay?" Snapped out of my thoughts, I blink my eyes to see both Ranma and Akane looking at me strangely. I was confused at first before realizing I had spaced out.
"Sorry for that, I was deep in thought," I said, placing a hand behind my head as I nervously chuckled.
"Uh-huh. Anyway, we should probably get inside, school isn't over yet you know." Akane reminded, turning around as she immediately began making her way back to school. Ranma and I turned and nodded to each other before running off back to school as well, leaving the unconscious Kuno behind.
As we hurried back, I couldn't help but smile all the way. The day wasn't over yet and it was only getting started. My new life in this wonderfully insane world and couldn't help but feel excited for what's to come...

A/N: I love [Gamer] fanfics and it was to be expected that I would make another one yet again. I'm a pretty big fan of [Ranma 1/2] and I wanted to make one since my first one here on this site.
