Blake POV
.
Requests for rotationary trainers, requests for Pokéballs, requests for Ace trainers, requests for a league conference, requests to meet with another Gym Leader, requests to meet with an Elite Four, requests to meet the champion, requests for time off.
There are request forms to request more request forms! What the fuck! Sinnoh doesn't have this kind of system! Neither does Paldea or Alola!
But, well, each region is structured differently for various reasons.
Sinnoh is a very lax region, politically I mean. With a cold, harsher climate than most. it's built so that each Leader is able to basically run their areas all by themselves. Similar to how Kanto does it.
Alola meanwhile, is very self sufficient and relatively small. With each 'Leader' being closely connected and as such they have a very informal way of doing things. It's a mix of traditional values and rites, and modern advents and concessions it made to other regions in exchange for league recognition. Mostly Unova, oddly enough.
Paldea's system? Geeta. She takes care of everything. She has near absolute authority. Again, she doesn't abuse it. And the region really does thrive under her. I just don't think one person should harbor all that control. Paldea is one of the larger regions and if anything happened to Geeta they'd be fucked.
Unova, from what I'm learning. Is a mix of formal and informal. With some of the strictest laws and laxest policies. Want to go outside in your underwear? Sure. No one can tell you no. Wanna go outside naked? Well now you're on a registry, lose your job, are barred from finding a new one. Oh, and a fine as well as a year in jail.
And for some reason the drinking age is twenty one? In Paldea it's eighteen. The year you would normally graduate Naranja Academy. It's actually a Paldean tradition to have your first drink on your graduation.
Back home in Sinnoh it's twenty. Didn't stop me on my graduation though. Naranja did teach us to respect tradition after all.
Alola is a little different. You can drink at eighteen provided you aren't alone. You just aren't allowed to buy the alcohol yourself until you're twenty one.
It was one of the concessions they made with Unova in exchange for their support in gaining League recognition.
Of course anyone who was eighteen or older before the law changes are exempt. Grandfather paradox and all that.
Funnily enough. Ace is legally allowed to purchase and drink alcohol here in Unova due to those loopholes. While I'm not. I still need to wait until I'm twenty and of legal age in my birth region.
Off by one damn month.
Drayden's been drilling me on Unovan law and its history.
"Soon I'm going to start dreaming legislature." I sigh as I walk into my room.
…
"Arceus damn it Lake." I say.
Acerola is currently on the wall. In my bed. Tied down to mattress with my blanket.
"Gaaarr~" Lake says as he appears out of my dresser. Popping open a drawer and peeking his head up.
"Well then who did it?" I ask.
"Draaaa." Dream says as she pokes her head out from behind the headboard.
"Oh." I say.
Weird. Dream doesn't normally play pranks.
"Um, Blakey?" Ace says awkwardly. "Can I come down?"
"Dream?" I ask the Dragapult.
"Rapulll." She rolls her eyes.
The bed sets itself down where it belongs and Ace climbs out as Dream flies into my shadow.
Ghosts love my shadow for some reason.
"Whew!" She says with a smile. "Y'know, for someone so serious and calm you have some rowdy Pokémon!"
"Yeah, they're all gremlins in their own right." I say as I make my way over to the espresso machine. "But I like'em that way."
As I say that. Mimi walks around from behind the coffee maker.
"Did she try and take some?" I ask.
"No!" Ace says from behind me. "I'd never."
Mimi just nods and makes a smacking motion with her hand.
"And that's why you're my favorite." I say and tickle her.
"KyuKyuKyuKyuKyu!" She giggles.
"Geng!" I hear from my dresser before a paper cup hits me in the back of my head.
"And that's another reason why you're my favorite." I say.
"I thought I was your favorite!" Ace whines.
"You're my favorite cousin." I say as I start the machine.
"I'm your only cousin. And even then it's not by blood so it doesn't count!" She pushes.
She's fishing for attention. She does this all the time. Though for some reason I'm the only one that sees it.
"Fine, you're my favorite purple haired non blood related family." I tease as I make my cappuccino.
"That's it? What about girl?" She asks.
"Still Mimi." I say as the little minx struts across the counter with pride.
"Second favorite?" She asks.
"Mom." I say easily as I take my cup and put a lid on it.
"Okay third?!" She says with a pout.
"Hmm, well we're still on girl. So I'd have to say, Dream, Autumn, and Yuki are tied." I say with a smile.
"Draaaa!" Dream coos from my shadow.
I'm still working on getting all my Pokémon sent over. But Unova has such a strict migration policy! I'm looking at a two week processing for Yuki, Bork and Wisp!
So far I only have Dream, Autumn, Glitter, Solis and Mimi.
Bones and Hook are in their final stages of getting the paperwork approved. Alolan Pokémon are easier to get over due to the laws and concessions made between Alola and Unova.
The agreement seems to
Lake isn't here legally. But good luck convincing him to follow those flimsy human concepts called laws.
"Fourth!" She demands.
"Hmm." I say as I sit down next to her on the bed. "Mimikins."
"Mii!" Said Mimikyu says happily as she pokes out from under the bed.
In response. Ace steals my cup.
"Hey!" I say reach for it.
"No! You're being mean and playing with my feelings!" She says.
"That's no excuse to steal my stuff!" I say as I reach over her to try and take it back.
"That's what you think!" She says and licks the cup. "There! I licked it, it's mine now!"
"That's not a thing! It's never been a thing!" I say as I continue reaching for my cup.
"Well I say it is!" She says defiantly.
"Gar!" Lake pops out of the drawer and agrees with her.
"You're not involved in this!" I point to him.
"I say his vote counts!" Ace interjects.
"As his trainer I say this is an issue between trainers!" I push.
"Meanie!" Accuses.
"Miney mo! Now gimme back my cup!" I shoot back.
"No!"
"I'll make you your own!" I offer.
"Okay." She says and hands me my cup back.
"Seriously?" I ask as I take the cup from the childish girl.
"Yep!" She says with a nod.
I knew this is how this would end. If I just walked off and made another for myself. She'd take that and drink it too. She'd keep drinking until I offered to make her, her own cup.
I once pushed this to see how far she would go.
She got sick and wouldn't talk to me for a week.
"You're lucky you're cute." I say as I get up and go make another cup.
As I do so. Mimi and Mimikins are on the counter next to the machine. Using Mimi's little sewing kit to inspect and fix each other's costumes.
That's adorable!

Mimi POV
.
"Blake and Acerola are courting again." I tell sister.
"Yep." She says as she takes the close up glass to look at my costume. "They should just mate already."
"Agreed." I say as I fix a stitch on hers.
"How is yours so good?" Sister asks. "Mine gets torn so easily."
"Blake made mine." I say. "He bought a new one and made it fit me after mine got too torn."
That was humiliating! I was ready to die! A Mimikyu without a costume?! It's not right!
"Maybe I should get a new one." Sister says. "Acerola is fixing mine daily. It's nice, but it's getting tedious."
Letting someone else fix our costumes is a sign of trust, and friendship. But I can see how doing it every day could get boring. And tiring.
"I have spares." I tell her. "You can have one if you want."
"Really?!" She asks.
"Yep, got a Banette, Mismagius, Piplup, Jirachi, Manaphy and Decidueye." I tell her.
"Ooh, ooh! I wanna see the Banette!" She says excitedly.
"Sure!"
We hop off the counter and I open the underside of the cabinet meant for me. It has mirror, a light, and a pile of my costumes.
Mimikins follows in after me and I close the door behind us.
Mimikyus only!

Blake 12 yr old POV
.
Alright. Got my backpack. My pokéballs. Potions I sto-borrowed from the nurse. Rope, a map, flashlight, canteen, extra food. Solis is here. And just in case I have Glitter in my pocket.
Can't bring my Rotophone. It'll rat me out. So I have an old Pokétch watch. Just in case.
Time to see what's out there!
.
.
-5 hours later-
.
.
I'm lost.
"Okay, no, that's." I try and say out loud to vent my thoughts. "Glitter, can you read this?"
"Gil?" Said mon says as he pops out of my shirt pocket and looks at the map. "Gol!"
Oh. He's pointing at the compass rose.
Which is upside down.
I've been holding the map wrong this whole time.
"Darn it!"
*Russle*
I turn around to face the sound. Shinning my flashlight on the area. And out of the bush.
"Paaaw!" A little Pawniard jumps out.
Oh thank Arceus! I thought it was something dangerous.
"Solis, take it out." I say. "Flame charge."
"Chaarrr!" The little Charcadet roars as it charges forward.
"Paw!" The little Pawniard shouts in surprise as Solis barrels into it. Knocking it out and tossing it back into the bush.
"Easy." I say with a roll of my eyes as I turn the map in my hands around.
I'm hoping to find a Misdreavus or another Gimmighoul. Misdreavus's evolution, Mismagius, has powerful illusion abilities. Not on the level of a Zoroak, but powerful nonetheless.
And Gimmighoul because if nothing else they're cute and Acerola might want one.
*Russle*
"Okay what is it this time?" I say as I turn my flashlight back to the bush.
Only to shine it right on the face of a glaring Bisharp.

Iono POV
.
'Okay, that's in order. The scavenger hunt videos are doing worse each time. So I need to think of something new or at least change it up.' I think to myself as I go through my viewers metrics. 'Let's see, no I can't do an eating contest. I already did that as a collab with Kofu and Katy last month. Still waiting on a call back from Larry. Maybe a trivia? Electric Gym Leader doing a trivia show? No, then people will just think I'm ripping off Clemont and Bonnie.'
*Rzzzt*
"Hey, hey Iono!" My Rotophone whisper shouts. "Gotta call, it's important! Geeta!"
"Shit!" I hiss. "I need to get decent!"
Geeta does vidcalls. And I'm in my undies at a desk!
Looking around my room. I see a white shirt and my oversized jacket. I dive at the articles. Throwing them on as fast as I can and straightening my hair before popping back in my seat.
"Okay! Go!" I tell my phone.
It turns to the side and shows the image of the scariest person alive.
"Iono, I didn't call at a bad time, did I?" She asks with false concern.
"Nope!" I reply cheerfully. "I'm supercharged and always ready to go! Can't keep me down!"
"That's good to hear." She says with a smile. "I'm calling in regards to your vacation request."
'Wait seriously?!' I think in shock. 'Two years of denied time off, and she finally calls?'
"I'm sure you're happy to hear it's been approved." She says.
'Yes! Oh, finally!' I think to myself as I feel my shoulders relax for the first real time in months.
"In Unova."
"What?" I say as my mind grinds to a halt.
"I assume you want to expand your horizons. That's very admirable of you." Geeta continues.
"Th-there must be some sort of mistake." I say. "I put in requests to stay here and just, relax for a few weeks."
"That's not what your form says." La Primera says with the same grin as before. "Says you requested to go to Unova, Opelucid City specifically. Isn't that the same city Blake is a Gym Leader of now? You wouldn't have any ulterior motives going there would you?"
"What, I, that's just." I stutter as I try and think of something to turn this around.
"Though I suppose that's none of my business." She continues. "It was such a shame when you two broke up. Oh, a celebrity couple made up of two powerful trainers. Both streamers and Gym Leaders of the same city? Oh well, I guess somethings just aren't meant to be."
Blake was right. She's evil. She's not giving me my vacation. She's sending me away to try and bring Blake back!
Blake is a much better battler than me. And ever since our second year I've never been able to beat him with our main Pokémon.
"I, I uh."
With Blake's mom a famous coordinator and his dad an Elite four. And him being one of the best trainers Naranja produced in its year. Not to mention his placement in the Sinnoh League Cup.
Geeta made it no secret she was disappointed in him refusing her offer. And, kinda blames me.
"It makes sense you'd reach out after hearing of him in the news." She says. "Maybe hope to rekindle an old flame? Sorry, I should stop, it's just when you get to my age and are still single. You get a bit lost in the thought of it. Anyway, you'll be happy to know you can leave by the end of the week."
*Click*
"She scares me." My Rotophone says.
That wasn't a vacation approval. It was a thinly veiled. 'Go get this person and bring them back.' Assignment.
'I'm not going on vacation.' I realize. 'I'm just being sent to work overseas on a honeypot mission! With my EX!'

The idea of Mimi and Mimikins swapping outfits goes to ultima-owner.
.
So I have an idea of who the girls in the romantic comedy will be. But I'm willing to hear you guys out.
So far it's.
Acerola
Iono
-Not revealed yet-
Let me know who you want to see in here!
.
Also let me know which of Blake's Pokémon you want to see the meeting of in the bonus next.
.
The reason Blake is the only one who sees Acerola's attempts at getting attention. Is because he's the only person she does that to.
.
Also, Blake is a very strong trainer. But I feel I've been overselling him. Blake is Elite Four level. Easy. And would be capable of going toe to toe with many actual champions. But he's not champion material yet. He's a prodigy with talent and got a reality check early on to push him into working hard. If he put his mind to it. Then yeah, he'd be a champion in a few years.
The way I see it. If Blake were in the Masters 8. At best he'd make it to the quarter finals depending on who he had to fight. And at worst he'd have just barely missed the cut off.
.
He has potential. And if he kept himself to training just six Pokémon in his 9 years then he'd be champion no problem.
That's why Geeta wants him in her league. And he's free game until his probationary period as Gym Leader is up. So in her eyes. This is her last chance to get Blake in her league.
Fun fact, Blake is the 23rd individual Drayden interviewed.
