Chapter 36 ~ Kraken Pt.2
Sora continued blocking every tentacle swipe and lash the Kraken could deliver, frustrating the octo-mage to the point where he tried spitting his cursed Ink into Sora's eyes, despite the blinding spell already being in effect, yet hoping a direct shot at Sora's eyes would permanently blind him! But Sora would NOT allow anything to touch him, so he blocked that as well!
"-WILL-!"
"-YOU-!"
"-JUST-!"
"-SUB-!"
"-MIT-!"
"-ALREADY?!"
Kraken's voice echoed throughout the room they were in, making it easy for Sora to pinpoint where to deliver the next punch to…
And right when Kraken lashed his tentacles, Sora managed to grab as many of them that came his way, tie them up, and plant his foot onto Kraken's face once more! With Kraken writhing in agony, Sora said, "You're not the first dramaqueen to demand me to submit to him. You want submission? RUN FOR PRESIDENT!"
Kraken snarled and said, "It…seems like…I have given you too much of an advantage…so why don't we…fight like normal…like I AM fighting a blinded man?!" Kraken clapped his tentacles together and began casting a spell that restored the broken walls around him while he spat black Ink onto the windows and cracks that exposed the light!
Sora was now in a darkened area, where his blinded eyes were rendered truly helpless, as he couldn't make out what certain shapes and objects were…
"Are you lost, little hero?"
Kraken's voice echoed through the room, shocking Sora as he couldn't tell where his adversary was…
"You've spent your life fighting the Darkness that you've developed a type of 'blindness' yourself…you became blind to reality…to the possibility of tremendous loss…to the inevitable FATES!"
Kraken suddenly sprang up to Sora, scarring him and in an instant, disappearing…
"The Keyblade's power corrupted the masters of many, distorted the justice they once believed in, and have even fallen for the same…trap…EACH!"
A hallucination of Kraken's maw appeared while trying to bite Sora in two, forcing Sora to roll away to avoid it…
"You are no different than the rest! You say you stand with the Light, but the light gets quite dim when its enforcement is overshadowed by personal desires. YOU desire your friends, you don't even care about the laws of nature anymore…DO YOU?!"
Sora was suddenly swatted away by several LARGER tentacles than before!
"YOU'LL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! No friend would want to after all, not after you've made a new grouping for yourself…a group…of VERY lovely ladies…"
Suddenly, through the darkness, several illusions of naked women appeared around Sora! Each illusion tried to grab him, despite passing through him, and each time they did, they called out his name, all while telling him to lose himself to the darkness and become lost in their eternity…
"Well-well-well, if you can see these lovelies, then THAT means your vision must have recovered, even in the DARK!"
A giant hand suddenly grabbed Sora, while the darkness surrounding them dissipated, revealing that the Kraken has suddenly grown into an enormous monster, whose tentacles have spread throughout the room they were in! Sora then noticed the hand that held him tight was made up of the Kraken's Tentacles!
"How do you like my TRUE form? Go on, you're impressed, after all, we BOTH know your eyes aren't blinded by my spell any more. You can see the man who is going to kill you." Kraken smirked. But before Sora could answer, Kraken started lifting the ceiling above them…
…until the entire section of the building above them became the Kraken's weapon of choice!
"TIME TO SQUISH YOU LIKE THE BUG YOU ARE!"
Sora hurried off the building before the Kraken could demolish the area, however, Sora could only grasp onto a balcony while the Kraken slapped him into the air, where Kraken had a field day, hopping over and smacking Sora senseless everywhere they went…
Kraken then grabbed Sora and taunted, "Oooh, 'look at me, I'm Sora! I think that literally KNOWING I have friends increases my potential to win'! DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY THAT'S WRONG, HALO-BOY?!" Kraken then begins smashing Sora through several buildings while saying, "It's because they AREN'T HERE! Your friends are living their lives while you're in Hell with the rest of us! Friendship isn't an element OR a weapon, it's a presence of people joining along with the lone lifeform, but look at you NOW!"
After several slams against the building walls that surrounded them, the Kraken threw Sora to the ground while saying, "Now you're dead, alone while those who would CLAIM to have a strong bond with you have more preference to the living, to the people already alive, who can do the same things you can: Spout Stupid Speeches and Wield a Keyblade! Your shitty mouse king already chose Riku as your better, your woman: Kairi, is BARELY getting a lesson from the dark-fearing twit, Aqua, and everybody else is living their own lives to the fullest…without you. CONGRATS ON WINNING THE KEYBLADE WAR, LITTLE PUPPET!"
Sora however said, "You don't know my friends, Sushi-Brains, and luckily, after I'm done with you, YOU NEVER WILL!" Kraken laughed and said, "Was that a THREAT?! From a 'Pure-Hearted Hero of the Key'? Not as pure as you used to be, eh, Keyboy? Sounds to me like Marilith DID teach you something after all!"
Sora then said, "Yeah, she taught me how you all resort to mind games when you're near the end of your limit!" Sora took his fighting stance once more while the Kraken asked, "Aww, adorable, but your fists alone WON'T do you much good against the Water Fiend of the Four! Should have kept that Keyblade of yours close-!"
"-It was close enough, MONSTER!"
Yumi surprised Kraken by shooting Blizzard Spells into the fiend's eyes while following up with a haymaker that sent the beast flying away!
Yumi then rushed to Sora, while he asked, "Y-Yumi, what are you doing here?! Did you weaken the Tidal Wave?" Yumi answered, "Your Keyblade granted me the power we at Gessen required to cease it's rising, but the magical tsunami will only properly disappear if we destroy the gooey grump." Sora and Yumi looked over to the Kraken, who was charging at them with uncontrollable rage…
"I UNDERSTAND NOW, THE WITCH WAS USING YOUR KEYBLADE TO WEAKEN MY TIDAL WAVE SPELL! I'LL KILL YOU BRATS BEFORE YOU CAN CAUSE ME ANY FURTHER PROBLEMS!" The Kraken shrieked as he charged.
Yumi however shot several Black Ice projectiles into Kraken's enormous eyes while saying, "That won't be so easy, Monster!"
While the Kraken charged, Sora and Yumi ran away from him while shooting Blizzard spells and Black Ice shots at him, attempting to stop the rampaging creature in his place…
"I'LL SQUISH YOU LIKE THE PESTS YOU ARE!"
Kraken then formed his tentacles into another giant fist to crush the two, but Sora and Yumi jumped at the right moment, and as a counter strike, they focused the Keyblade AND Yumi's Fans into a massive ball of frost and icicles…
Sora and Yumi then aimed their new Team Attack Spell at Kraken's face…
"THIS IS IT!"
And at that instant, the Diamond Dusk was cast, and Kraken was temporarily stunned and frozen while Sora and Yumi went to town, using all their attacks to weaken the enemy before he could recover and continue his pursuit!
Elsewhere, Yozakura, Murakumo, Minori, and Shiki continue to try and weaken the Tidal Wave while noticing the rumbling and white flashes in the city…
Murakumo then asked, "Do you think Yumi will be alright without us?" Yozakura then answered, "All we can do is trust in Sora! I would love nothing more than to help him and Yumi, but right now, we have a city to save! Keep chanting!"
As they chanted, an unexpected presence appeared behind them…
"Your attempts to neutralize the spell are admirable, but one way or the other, the Kagan WILL drown today!"
A bronze-colored mechanical bear claw charged at the girls, until Murakumo swiftly swung her giant cleaver, knocking the attack away!
Murakumo then yelled, "Only the conspirators of the Four Fiends would attack us at this time, so why don't you show yourselves and save us the hassle of brainstorming your identities?!" The attacker then said, "I am one of many, seeking a bloody end to the Kagan users, such as Hanzo Academy's 'PRECIOUS' Hibari. And if her end HAS to involve the end of an entire city, SO BE IT!"
Minori then asked, "WA-WHOA-WAIT-A-MINUTE! The packs of Cupcakes must have gotten to me, but I could've sworn that Chibi said she wanted to drown Hibari!" Yozakura then said, "If that's the case, I think it's safe to say we've found our Mastermind behind all these city attacks! Murakumo, you'll have to dispatch the attacker, we have to try and keep this Wave from destroying Kabukicho!"
The attacker then said, "I am Kazakiri of the Kagan Slayers, and your attempts will be easier said than done! ESPECIALLY since I'm not alone!" Kazakiri raised her claws and summoned a wave of Noey Mole and Driller Mole Heartless!
Murakumo then said, "HA, your Heartless pail in comparison to the Yoma! And here's a tip from a famous Writer: You want to make an impact, then don't throw the same garbage our way, Surprise us with some new Material!"
"Like THIS?"
Kazakiri snapped her fingers, and to the Gessen Girls' shock, several footsteps were heard, and their approaching foes were QUITE surprising to see…
Meanwhile, back with Sora and Yumi, Kraken had just managed to grab Sora while saying, "This bout of ours has run its course! We shall finish this in MY TERRITORY!"
Kraken then crept over the buildings with Sora in hand, while Yumi tried to hurry after him…
"-We were assigned to prevent your victory, won't you take our challenge, Yumi of Gessen?"
Yumi looked at the Katana near her throat as she said, "There's only one evil ninja I know of who possesses a black Katana that can emit a dark aura of this level…but I'm rather amazed at your current allegiance. Why serve our enemies when they are the ones threatening our world, Miyabi of Hebijo?"
