Chapter 1
Nanami and Toji were on the warpath.
After learning that Sukuna has yet to return and with the attacks that have happened, it didn't take much for them to realize, they were all inner connected. The attack on the school was the first stage, to get Satoru's attention since his kids go there. Second, random attacks all over Japan to throw off and divert attention. Kidnapping Toshi and his children was used as more obstacles, then, the attack on Yua.
No doubt that was the main reason for all of this, they wanted to take Yua out once and for all. But the bonus… was to bring Sukuna back to his wicked ways.
"If he's gone mad, we take him down no matter what, right?" Toji asked.
"Take his head" Nanami said in a chilling tone.
Yet, as they were about to leave, Toji grabbed Nanami and pulled him back. "Wait" he said.
Nanami paused… then he returned.
Sukuna was covered in blood, from head to toe, he bore no expression on his face, and yet… the curse energy coming off of him… it was worst than before!
Nanami stood at the ready, so did Toji. "Sukuna…" Nanami said in a warning tone.
He only noticed now, the sash of cloth Sukuna had over his chest. He shifted it around until… he took Chusi out from it. She was passed out, asleep. "I was delayed, you missed some curses… and sorcerers," Sukuna said. "I am taking her back home. Call the brats."
He walked by them… as if nothing changed for him.
"He's… beyond the power he had before, isn't he?" Toji asked offhandedly.
"Indeed, but how?"
Either way, Toji went to get the Itadori twins. They left the hospital but Suiryu turned to Satoru to tell him to return to his wife. He appeared reluctant to do so, but eventually went inside once more.

He tucked her into bed carefully.
Sukuna had cleaned the blood off of her before she passed out, but, it only made things bluntly clear now…
"You called for us?"
He turned to see Suiryu and Yuuji. "What happened?" he asked.
"I would ask you the same thing, but… Yua got attacked, poisoned that affected her whole body. Junpei managed to save her in time however…" Suiryu's voice trailed off.
"She lost the child?"
"Children… she would have had triplets." Yuuji explained. "But these attacks went on everywhere. Kenjaku was mainly after her, wasn't he?"
"And me. He has known for a while that I was out… he was trying to get me back over to his side… how unfortunate for him it didn't work out as he hoped…"
"You can tell us later as to what happened here… oddly enough," Suiryu stated.
"Good, Yuuji, please watch over my wife, do not tell her what has happened," he asked, but the last part was an order.
"What… she's going to…"
"If she learns what has happened, it will affect her health as much as Yua's. At the same time, I admit, I am being greedy right now since she is carrying my child!"
They froze.
Yuuji stared between him and her but then, he merely nodded in agreement. "Okay…"
"Yuuji!" Suiryu protested.
"Suiryu… he called me by my name… he's serious."
It took the knockoff aback, but he sighed and nodded. "Good, Suiryu, bring me to Yua."
#
He didn't expect anything less.
The sight before him is one he has seen before among the Tooru clan, however what was happening here and now… he didn't approve of.
"Why are you not next to your wife, Six Eyes?" he demanded.
Satoru has been standing in the corner, his blindfold was off as he merely stared at Yua lying in a comatose state. Her eyes were wide open. She barely blinked. "I… How… How do I help her?"
He was rather surprised that the so called 'strongest sorcerer' was completely clueless as to what to do in this situation.
"You get yourself over here, you get into the same bed as your wife and you hold her until she doesn't want to be held. It's not a technique I need to explain to you," despite how angry he was, Sukuna kept his tone in check. Somehow, Suiryu almost appeared impressed by it.
Six Eyes eventually made his way over, he slipped into the bed and positioned himself accordingly. He braced Yua to himself and lay there. "What became of the children?" he asked Suiryu.
He sighed. "The old goat took them out of here… apparently… well…"
"They were becoming curse objects."
"You knew?"
"Powerful sorcerer families need to worry about such a thing happening, even to children yet to be born. It would have been something similar to the curse wombs…"
"But that was…"
"You forget the family you are dealing with as well as the poison used against her." Sukuna warned. "Right now, it's a waiting game. If there is no change in Yua within two months, there is a chance she won't survive."
Suiryu was taken aback by this. "Because she miscarried?!"
"It's more complicated than that," Sukuna explained. "The Tooru family has always had trouble having children of their own, when they do, that child is a blessing in the family. The joy one feels bringing a child into this world, can be just as devastating as taking that child out of this world before it even has a chance to be in it. Mother Tooru explained that to me, Tooru women… are different than other sorcerers. I can personally state I agree with that notion. Which is why from this moment on is going to be very delicate and difficult."
The knockoff nodded.
"Why don't you want Chusi to know what has happened?"
"Chain reaction" he said. "This happened only once in the clan, one of the members who had been desperately trying for a child, finally got their wish… only to be attacked and lose the baby. She was close to other family members around her who were also expecting… they fell into a similar depression as the mother to lose her child… they lost their children too… It devastated the clan." He turned to Suiryu and said with great sincerity. "I know if Chusi found out what happened to Yua… the baby she carries won't survive… They are like sisters, and Chusi cares for Yua so much… just like a sister…"
"You fear she will lose the baby, almost as an act of solidarity?" Suiryu asked.
He nodded to him.
He didn't think the knockoff would believe him, yet there was a look on his face that Sukuna hadn't seen before, not even on the brat. He sighed aloud. "Okay then" he said gently. "We won't speak a word, I'll let the others know about it too… Satoru…"
He merely nodded. Six eyes wasn't even listening.
"Okay, stay here and let me go tell everyone… just… if you can do anything to help her…"
He merely nodded as Suiryu left the room, Sukuna peered back over at Yua. He has never seen her appear so vulnerable before.
