For anyone who doesn't know I don't own the character from Httyd ;)

Henry Haddaock, Prince of Berk, jerked out of his bed. He had just woken up from a nightmare. These were unfortunately happen more often then he liked. Most of them were about the raging war between the country of Berk and Grimbornia. This was a country ruled by too dictators Viggo and Ryker Grimborn.

"Master Hiccup!" that was his nickname.

"What is it Garf," asked Hiccup as he slumped out of his bed.

" Breakfast was served an hour ago and his majesty asked if you intend to stay in your room for the day."

"No I'll be down in a minute." Hiccup grabbed his tunic and boots and slipped out of his room.

"Ahh, the pride of the kingdom!" exclaimed his father as Hiccup entered the dinning hall. Stoick Haddack tromped over to his son who had just began his pile of pancakes. "So are you going riding today. Because if so I'd like you to pick a bouquet of flowers. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but I need something to give your mother for our anniversary tomorrow and you know how much she loves wild flowers."

"Yes Father. " said Hiccup as he rose from his chair." I'll see what I can do.

The wind was fresh on Hiccup's face as he rode his horse, Toothless, through the woods. Suddenly he heard a sound in the forest.

"Woah, boy. I want to find out what that noise is."

He rode for a time until he reached a river. But he wasn't alone. There at the bed of a river was a girl! The most beautiful girl he ever seen. She looked up at him and began to back away. Hiccup quickly dismounted Toothless.

"Wait! I don't mean you harm." As he approached her he began to examine her. She had blonde hair made in a braid, and blue eyes that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight.

"What your name?"

"A Astrid... Astrid Hofferson. And who might you be?"

"Hiccup!" She didn't know who he was and he wanted to keep it that way.

"Hiccup? That's an interesting name."

"You look lost would you like to come to my house. Unless you have somewhere else your staying." Hiccup reached out his hand toward her.

"Yeeeaaahh ok. " The to walked together toward Toothless. Toothless was startled for a moment at the stranger with Hiccup, but Astrid calmed him with a little scratch on his nose. Hiccup mounted the horse but before he left he realized Astrid hadn't mounted.

"You ok? Would you rather walk?"

"No but I've just never been on a horse before. My parents could never afford one." Astrid slowly mounted Toothless and put her arms around Hiccups waist. "But I'm sure I'll do fine."

"Don't worry about it. Toothless will go nice and slow for ya. Right bud?"

Toothless gave a short and began to walk back to the palace. But what the two humans didn't see was that he had a smirk in his face.

"See every thing is just fine."

With that Toothless bolted forward through the trees, swerving between the trees. Astrid gave a pound yell and groped Hiccup with all her strength. Under different surcumstances Hiccup would have enjoyed the ride. But not with a girl holding on so tight he couldn't breathe. Suddenly the reached the edge of the forest and the fields. Hiccup stared at the waving of the weat as they passed trough. Astrid loosened her grip and began to look at the beautiful scene before her. Hiccup then felt a something on his shoulder. Astrid was resting her head on his shoulder. After a while the return to weaving in between the trees. Finnaly they arrived at the castle where Stoick and Valka,his mother, were staring on the stairs to the door of the palace. The two had been waiting Hiccups return and they were very surprised to see a girl with him. But nevertheless they welcomed her with open arms. Hiccup then showed hercyhe room in which she could stay.

"What do you think? He said as he gestured to the inside of the room. "Do you like it?"

"Like it I love it. It better than anything I could have imagined. Thank you your majesty." Astrid smirked at him. What! How did she know! "Don't be do surprised I didn't recognize you at first but then when a saw the castle it connected together pretty well."

"Oh." Hiccup walked out to the balcony over looking the place garden. Astrid followed.

"Why don't you want people to know who you are?" Astrid clasped his hand.

"Well when you become the prince people don't usually become your friend just because they like you. It usually because I'm the prince. Do you mind if I ask were you came from?"

"Let's just say I was forced to be someone I'm not and I don't want to go back." Astrid began to walk away.

"Wait I was wondering if you would join us for dinner tonight." Hiccup hoped he hadn't done something wrong. She turned back to him with a smile on her face.

"Sure. But could leave my room first Dovi can get changed into something nice."

"Sure!" he rushed out of her room." see you tonight. "
