Fair warning, this is my first Naruto story and as such i do not own Naruto but this idea wont leave me alone.
Now onto the story
Today I was walking down the road, being as quiet as I could because today was the worst day of my life.
12 years ago, the nine tails fox attacked the village and the fourth Hokage died and that day he gave me a best friend that took me a year to get along with.
Over the years, the villagers hatred of me just got worse and worse.
Six years ago on my birthday, the villagers grew into a mob and chased me all over the village and the last thing i ever saw was a pink-haired woman punching my lights out.
Ever since then my life just got a lot harder.
"NARUTO!" I heard someone yell, I gave a fox-like grin and dashed off.
For an hour I was chased all over the village by the ninja overhead a mountain with four heads carved on it called the Hokage mount but this time it had graffiti on it.
Yes the years were hard on me but I made sure that they fun also but i also had to keep the ninja on their toes.
After an hour I could still hear the songs of the village, the number one hit me"NARUTO get back here." followed closely by "you'll get it this time NARUTO."
'Good luck with that, you haven't been able to catch me for the past three years.' i thought
thirty minutes later
I was hiding under a tarp that looked like a fence behind me. I laughed under my breath "well that was fun."
"NARUTO!" a new voice said.
"Iruka sensei." i said 'how does he keep on finding me.'
"Naruto, what are you doing?" Iruka asked
'What does it look like training of course?' i thought
"You're supposed to be in class not pulling pranks." Iruka said, "we started walking back to the academy. When we got there, we learned henge and i had a half a mind to transform into my friend but i just decided to change into a Iruka instead, I've given him enough trouble for one day.
after we got to the academy I had to work on cleaning the Hokage mount
"Why did you do it, Naruto, don't you know how important the Hokage mount is?" he asked me
"Do you want the truth?" I asked, Iruka sensei was confused, but he wanted to hear what i had to say. "for three reasons." I held up three fingers. "One because it helps with training, I treat this whole village like a training ground and if I can out run Chūnin the next thing to out running is a Jōnin, second it keeps the ninjas on their toes, if i a academy student wearing bright orange can do this to an important place in the village what could an enemy do? Lastly, Think how many villagers have gotten pranked by me, how many of those villagers could have gotten hurt or even killed if those pranks had been deadly or poisonous like lets say someone had an allergic reaction to a hot sauce or itching powder to the wrong person could be fatal for example did you know that three for the council members are allergic to peanuts to one he can't be anywhere near the stuff, what you call prank could easily be turned into deadly traps if i wasn't careful."
Iruka sensei thought it over but he didn't say anything.
"Besides, it not the first time this village has tried to stomp out my spark. It's far too many times to count." I said the last part under my breath but I wasn't sure if Iruka sensei could hear.
"Naruto." Iruka sensei said "I was thinking, maybe after your done cleaning we can go to Ichiraku Ramen.
"Yeah." I yelled.
After some time I was finished cleaning the faces but that night I returned and spent an hour there just relaxing and staying away from the villagers. Iruka sensei reminded me that tomorrow was the final test. 'Tomorrow I can stop hiding.' I thought.
"Does that mean you're done playing?" Kurama asked
'Yeah Kurama.' I thought back 'after tomorrow I stop acting.' six years ago after i lost something important, when I blacked out and my consciousness went into my mindscape where i met Kurama at first he thought i was like the people in my village and hated me but i proved to him that i wasn't and that day changed my life forever.
The next day at the Academy in the classroom.
The class was handed a test. I put my hand over a piece of paper and I felt something covering it 'really how many times has he tried this.' i thought
"The fool will never learn, you know that." Kurama replied
'True.' I replied, sent out a tiny pulse or the smallest that I could make to sense the tiny bumps that made up letters and started working on the test.
About an hour later, I finished the test and we went to the kunai range where we had to hit the human-shaped targets where we had to hit the bulls-eye's at least 6 times out of ten to pass and I hit eight times out of ten 'pretty good for a blind kid.'
"better then that pink haired banshee." Kurama said
'agree from what i could see she hit six out of ten and sasuke hit all ten.' i replied
"big deal." Kurama said
Then we went back into the academy.
Next We did the ninjutsu test. I passed the body replacement and the transformation but I couldn't do the clone. I had too much chakra but at the end I failed my third and final time.
I sat down on a swing and I heard every person talk bad about me. " I'm glad that thing is not a ninja." I heard someone say not even the warmth from Kurama could help me. I was so lost I didn't even hear someone above me.
"Hey Naruto." I heard someone say it was sensei mizuki "Iruka-sensei's tough but he's not against you."
"Then why?" i asked "why only me."
"He wants you to be tough with all his heart "sensei mizuki replied ."but that will never happen if he goes easy on you."
"But this I had to pass." i replied
"Well then I guess I have to tell you." sensei mizuki said
Later that evening.
I was given a secret test to help boost my score and was told to go to the Hokage library and steal a test scroll and bring it to a place.
I took it and brought it to the agreed place "i know you're not listening to me but even you have to see that this is a trap." Kurama said
"I know but mizuki is up to something." i replied back in my mind as i was reading the forbidden scroll 'hmm multi-shadow clone jutsu that could be useful."
"Naruto." I heard Iruka sensei yelling "what are you doing?"
'What is he doing here?' i thought "hey Iruka sensei did i pass?" i asked
"Naruto, what are you doing!" Iruka was confused, the next thing I heard was a whooshing sound.
"Duck!" i yelled but instead of moving out of away Iruka pushed me out of the way and got hit instead.
"what, why." i asked
"I see you found out little hide out." A new voice said coming from the trees it was mizuki.
"so that's the way it is, I should have known." Iruka said
"nurato." Mizuki said "give me the scroll now."
'i have a bed feeling about this.' i thought
"same kid you might have to let your secret out." Kurama said
'agree lets hope Iruka doesn't hate me after this.' i replied
"Nautro dont let Mizuki get the scroll it contains forbidden jutsu that could put this village in grave danger Mizuki used you to get the scroll for himself for his own power." Iruka said
"Nautro." Mizuki said "Iruka just trying to scare you because he doesn't want you to have the scroll."
'do you think everything is set up Kurama.' i thought.
"I hope so, oh this is going to be fun," Kurama replied
"stop lying Mizuki!" Iruka yelled "dont let him trick you Nautro."
'really couldn't tell.' i thought
"Oh, I'll tell you who's really lying." Mizuki said with a laugh, Iruka tried to stop him but Mizuki wasn't listening "they been lying to you, your whole life Nautro since the decree twelve years ago ."
Now that surprised me "what decree." i asked
"everyone knows expect you." Mizuki replied "Iruka trying to hide it from you even now he do anything to shut me up."
"So would I. he is taking way too long to get to his point." Kurama said.
"what is this decree? Why does else know about expect me?" I asked.
"dont tell him it is forbidden!" Iruka yelled
"the decree is that no one can tell you is the fox inside you." Mizuki said "the fox spirit that killed Iruka parent and destroy our village has taken over your body you are the nine tail fox."
"Well, he's not wrong." Kurama said.
"they all been sneaking around, hiding things from you, your whole life. Didn't you think it was strange the way they treated you like dirt, like they hated you for just being alive?" Mizuki asked "that is why you'll never be accepted in this village, even your beloved sensei hates your guts."
thought were flying throw my head i couldn't even hear Kurama did Iruka hate me as well what about jiji "Nautro get down!" i head Iruka yelled
I dropped as fast as I could but I couldn't see anything. Whatever Mizuki did was moving way to fast. I closed my eye waiting for it to hit but it never came i heard it hit something and something hit my face it was Iruka he saved my life "w- why?" i asked
"because we're the same when i lost my parents No one seemed to care " Iruka said "they didn't have time for me they just forgot about me I just wanted them to see me to know my name, my schoolwork wasn't good enough to get there attention so I started doing crazy things and than I had to pay for them, it was hard i know that how you feel, you feel lonely and it hurt inside and i could been there for you more, i let you down, i'm sorry no one should have to suffer that much, no one should have to live like that."
Nautro cupped his face. "dont be you were there for me, You saw me that good enough"
Mizuki started laughing "dont make me laugh!" Iruka always hated you, he was orphaned because the nine-tailed fox killed his parents and that beast is now inside you, he'd say anything to get the scroll from you
"i'm sorry to do this Iruka." i put my head under him and sent him flying and jumped up "well i guess it's time to stop playing around. I should be thanking you."
"thanking me why." Mizuki asked
"you gave me the tools i need to make a jutus go from B to A rank and it's all thanks to you." I said "and your wrong about me being the nine's, he's just inside me but he's my best friend and your about to regret every time you sat back watched when I was getting beat to bloody pulp."
"the only thing i regret is not ending myself." Mizuki said
"than what are you waiting for?" I asked.
"it will only take one to end you." Mizuki said crazy getting ready to a windmill shurkin after a second or two he throw it at me, when it was inchs away from my hands shot out and caught the shurikin in-between my hand fur covered hands with claws slowly the fur went up my arms and covered my face my eyes was still blue with red outlining and fox slits, five tails came out of my tail bone my fur matched my hair "Ha so the beast shows his true colors." Mizuki said
"That is where you are wrong." I said as windwill shurkin started shaking then it shattered like glass to Mizuki surprise "be thankful your facing me he would kill you without a second thought, me on the other hand will make you wish I had ended you."
"Ha what can an academy student do to me." Mizuki said
"Let me show you." I said holding out my hand with my palm face out and sent out charka pulse "seismic pulse." I said, form the surface it wasn't doing any damage to mizuki.
Mizuki started laughing "this, this is your dangerous jutus."
"No this is." I replied six clones dropped from the trees and did the same thing as me.
After a minute I banished the clones and ran at Mizuki "Comic cyclone!" I yelled. I jumped and started spinning and a huge cyclone. formed I could see it from the village I kicked mizuki in the face straight into a tree with force to make him bounce off the tree than golden chains shot out of my hands and wrapped around him "comic cyclone." i yelled again and started spinning really fast like a top and took Mizuki for the ride "round and round you, where you stop i really dont care." i said i shot Mizuki back into a tree my claws dug into the tree bark as is i went up the tree i jumped and grabbed him by the vest and slammed him into. The group, i slowly walked up him and grabbed him by throat "hurt me fine but hurt someone i care." i said "i'll end you." i punched him in the face and sent him into the trees as he was coming down his foot and rope with a loose noses and it shoot him back up hitting every branch along the way till he stopped half away off the ground around in ropes hanging upside down.
"well this was fun," I said. "You can come down now." I shouted up into the tree, Iruka jumped down from the trees "sorry about sending you up there but I need you out of the way."
"why are you standing there Iruka protecting that freak?" Mizuki asked. "He's the one that wiped out your family."
"i dont care what did you say ." Iruka replied "You're not getting your hands on that scroll."
"You fool." Mizuki said "don't you get it Naruto is just like me, he'll use his power to destroy the whole village just like that beast."
"how's that?" Iruka asked
"can't you see he wants the scroll for his own power and his own vengeance that how beast are after all, he'll pour all his rage into the scroll and destory everything." Mizuki said
"your right." Iruka replied
that shocked me thought started going throughs my head 'the one person i trusted never believed in me he thinks i'm some beast.' i thought as i looked down at my fur covered hands.
"thats how beast are." Iruka said, putting a hand on my shoulder "but that's not how Naruto is, he's nothing like that. He's one of a kind, works hard, puts his whole heart into it, sure he messes up sometime and everyone jumps on him but his suffering only makes him stronger that's what separates him from being a beast so your wrong nothing like the nine tailed fox, he's Naruto uzumaki of the village hidden in the leafs.
i started hearing something cut the ropes. "i wouldn't do that if i was you," i spoke up trying to hide the tears.
"and why is that you little monster?" Mizuki asked
"You see that trap your in is connected to four rope each one does something different." i said "the first one drops itching powder which was made from dried poison ivy leaves which i believe your allergic too, the second one is connected to a gallon of hot sauce made from the hottest ingredients from all the five of the great nations, Suna ghost peppers, fire lilies from the capital and the other three nations, it has enough kick to send you straight to the shinigami with one touch, the third one connects to knock out gas that you be sleeping for hours and the last one is my personal favorites the fourth will triggers all three and send you to other trap just like this and I've got about a hundred traps around this forest." i said with a smile
Suddenly I heard a sound and i grabbed Iruka and jumped into the trees just as explosion where i standing than five people showed up "stay up here, your not ready to face something of their caliber." i said as i jumped down.
"Camilla." I said as they walked closer the woman the in green armor that looked like a chameleon "jellica."she is like jellyfish like woman with a staff for a weapon "grizzaka." a man that looked a like a grizzly bear "carisoar." a hank like man "What are you three doing in the doing in ninja world?" i asked getting into a defensive stance.
"Naruto Uzumaki, the flying fox," Camilla said.
