I exited the plane nervously. I hadn't seen Charlie in years! What would he think of me? What if he was like Reene and preferred Bella over me? What if he sent me back, what if- I spotted him. I approached cautiously, waving at him. Should I hug him? This would've been easier if Bella were here. "Demetria." He nodded. "It's Demi." I reminded him softly. It was dark outside and the drive home was awkward. Desperately, I tried to think of something to talk about. I can't stand awkward silences. "So, what did you mean by Bella hasn't been herself lately?" I asked. After all, this was the reason I'd come to Forks in the first place. "Well-" Charlie hesitated. "You'll see." He said, turning onto his street. I'm Demetria Swan, Bella's twin sister. I desperately wanted to go with Bella when she left for Forks, but mom was worried that with my 'issues' moving and starting over would be too stressful. What she didn't understand was that I was over those 'issues' and that a fresh start was exactly what I needed! She also didn't understand that being separated from Bella would be more stressful! Anyway, when I got a call from Charlie saying that Bella hadn't been herself lately, and needed me, Reene couldn't say no! So here I was, stepping inside, afraid to see what had happened to my sister. When I walked into her room, all thoughts flew from my head. She looked like a Zombie! "Bella!" I gasped. "Demi?" She croaked. I ran over and hugged her. "Oh, Bella! What happened to you!?" I whispered. She shuddered, pulling away and curling into herself, although something where eating away at her heart. I felt like crying! I'd never seen someone so broken, so in pain! That's when I realized she was crying. I wrapped my arms around her again as she cried silently, whispering soothing words until she fell asleep. Then, as quietly as I could so I wouldn't wake her, I untangled myself from Bella and went out into the kitchen. "What happened to her!" I demanded of Charlie. He was sitting at the table with a cup of coffee. He looked tired. "I don't know the details but her a- idiot boyfriend ditched her in the forest after they'd gotten very close and then he and his family moved to Ithaca New York without any warning. She was missing for a whole night!" He growled. "HE WHAT?!" I snapped, a look of fury crossing my face. Charlie looked surprised at that, as though he hadn't expected to have passed his along temper to his other daughter. Suddenly, a scream caused me to nearly jump out of my skin! "What was that!?" I yelped. "That was Bella." He said sadly. "She's been having nightmares ever since that Edward Cullen ghosted her." He snarled. I was gripping the edge table so hard that my knuckles were turning white. It took everything I had not to explode right then.

The next morning I left nervously for school with Bella. I received my schedule and went to my first class. The day was pretty much everything I had expected up until lunchtime. I entered with Bella and followed her to a small table of friends nervously. They all looked at me curiously as I sat down. "Who are you?" Asked a friendly-faced boy. I wasn't sure why, but just looking at him irritated me for some reason. "I'm Bella's sister." I proclaimed. "Demi, right?" asked a girl. I smiled, pleased that she had gotten my name right. "Yep!" My smile fell when I glanced over at Bella. She wasn't even eating. "Bella, you need to eat!" I whispered. She didn't appear to hear me. "Bella." I tried again. I grew more and more frantic as she didn't respond. "Bella!" I finally snapped. She jumped a little, making me feel just a tad guilty. Suddenly, one of the girls stood up. "I'm going to the library." She said. "Demi, want to come?" She asked. I looked up, surprised. Part of me wanted to say no to stay with Bella but there was something in this girl's eyes. Like she was trying to give me a message. "Sure," I said. once we were out of the cafeteria, she turned to me. "I'm Jessica, nice to meet you." She said. "hi." I responded. "Are you here to help Bella?" She asked with genuine curiosity. "Yeah." I sighed. "How long has this been going on for?" I asked. "Several months now," Jessica admitted. "They were so close! They did everything together, LITERALLY everything! She was like, best friends with his entire family too! And then Edward a**hole Cullen ditched her in the forest and she was lost overnight! She hasn't been the same since." Jessica explained. "I'm gonna kill him as soon as I get the chance," I growled.
