Ruffnut chewed thoughtfully on a charcoal stylus next to a flickering candle. She checked over her shoulder again and saw her twin brother, Tuffnut, snoring on their bed, his equally blonde locks spidering everywhere on the burlap.
Resolved, she took a deep breath and began to pen the first runes on a long parchment she had saved up to buy in the village, with a texture sturdy and expensive to bear a voyage over the seas. She carefully marked the page, trying to keep her thin fingers poised with every stroke.
Greetings
Ruffnut grumbled, and then began a new sheet. She finally thought of the opening she wanted. Her markings sloped into the lazy loops and tails she was used to.
What's up, sucker? Hope you liked your swim. I'm sure it was pretty long because you got dropped in the middle of nowhere! Anyway, cool dungeon. But it needs a little blood. It was fun being your prisoner. Learned a lot. Smell ya never!
A/N: I think since I won't be making any more longer stories, drabbles could be a fair substitute. Thanks for reading.
