I don't own Bleach, Saint Seiya, or any character for that matter!

A young, orange-haired boy with warm brown eyes full of light walked hand-in-hand with his mother. His mom had orange-brown hair and kind brown eyes. The child, Ichigo, loved the warmth he got from his mother's hand. It chased away the chill of the pouring rain.
A strong gust of wind nearly knocked Ichigo's hood off. He tugged on the yellow hood, preventing it from falling off. Rain hit him in the face, causing his eyes to close.
"Are you okay, sweety?" his mother's kind and amused voice asked. Ichigo turned his face up with a big grin.
"Yes, mom! I'm okay. I just got some rain in my eyes," he replied.
His mom giggled. "Aw, I'm sorry you got rained on. Well, we're almost home. How about hot chocolate when we return?"
Ichigo's eyes shined in delight. "Yes! That's sound great, mom! I can't wait!" he cheered, missing his mom's chuckle at his excitement.
The two began walking again beside a steep hill leading to a rushing river. Ichigo paused when he saw something white out of the corner of his eye. He turned his head to look and saw an older girl with dark hair standing by the riverside.
"What's she doing?" Ichigo muttered as he watched on. He couldn't understand why someone would stand close to the water when his mom told him how dangerous it could be while it was splashing like it was. To top it off, the girl didn't have an umbrella or a raincoat.
The girl took a step forward, inching closer to the hungry river. Ichigo felt his heart flip, now understanding what was happening. He let go of his mother's hand and ran down the hill. He didn't think, just moved. The only thought going through his mind was, 'I have to save her!'
"Ichigo, wait, STOP!" Ichigo heard his mother's call, sounding worried and desperate. Ichigo knew he should listen, but his legs kept moving, ignoring his mom's orders.
Just as Ichigo reached for the girl, the rain stopped, the river froze over, and the girl paused. Ichigo stood still, his hand slowly lowering to his side. He looked around, seeing the raindrops floating in the air. The trees looked to be in mid-motion, but they, too, stopped. He looked behind him at his mother. She dropped her umbrella and ran after him, but she was hovering above the ground in mid-run.
"What's going on?" Ichigo asked with wide eyes.
"So, you are Ichigo Kurosaki," a male voice said from behind, startling Ichigo. The orange-haired child spun around and saw a man with black hair covered with an old Victorian top hat. His eyes were gold, reminding Ichigo of the ancient sand of Egypt. The man wore a fancy suit with a high-collared shirt and white bowtie.
The man grinned, appearing amused, but an icy chill trailed down Ichigo's spine at the sight.
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" Ichigo asked, wincing at the fear coloring his tone. The man chuckled at the sound.
"I'm Yoma, the God of Time. I have seen your future, and I have to say: it was boring in a cliche way." Yoma rolled his eyes. "You grow up to be a dull, run-of-the-mill hero. Same for another brat, but that got me thinking. Why don't I change those events? I'll start with you, child."
Yoma lifted his right hand and placed an index finger on Ichigo's forehead. A dark glow emanated from the man's fingertip and entered the child. Yoma smirked as Ichigo stumbled at the sudden dizziness.
"I have planted the seed of darkness within you. That darkness will slowly corrupt you, destroying Soul Society and giving you a tragic end."
Ichigo felt the darkness Yoma mentioned coursing through his veins with each heartbeat. It felt cold as if shards of ice were replacing his blood cells. He didn't know how, but Ichigo knew his body was changing.
"W-why me?" Ichigo asked, earning a surprised look from Yoma. But then the god chuckled, brushing off his bewilderment.
"I figured you could help me make a better story. After all, who would want to lead the life of a hero who gets the girl? That kind of life is too mundane and happens way too often. So, you're going to be the main character of my story!" Yoma patted Ichigo's soft, spiky hair. "That, and I just hate older brothers. Now, make this entertaining for me, won't you?"
Ichigo saw Yoma's hand glow again, but a strange-looking clock appeared this time. As the hands moved, a design began to form. The hands of the clock moved faster than usual. It started at 12 and reached 3 O'clock in a few minutes instead of hours. The more time passed, the more fuzzy Ichigo's mind felt.
The child looked at where he was. Why was he by the river? Who was that orange-brown-haired woman? What was going on?
The clock completed its cycle, leaving a confused Ichigo, who watched the world begin moving again.
The woman quickly placed herself between Ichigo and a sewer-green, hamster-looking monster with a bone-white mask. Ichigo realized the creature had been aiming for him with its opened jaws, but its attention drifted to the woman's tense form. It howled, sounding delightful. Ichigo watched as the unknown woman lifted her hand and gathered some blue energy.
The energy was taking a form, but before Ichigo knew what shape it was trying to take, a beam of light shot down from the sky. The orange-brown-haired woman screamed in pain. Did the light burn her? Ichigo was scared. His heart beating out of his chest. Between the screaming lady, the monster, and the sudden pillar of scorching light, it became too much for him to handle. He was lost, not recognizing his surroundings. He didn't know who the woman was but felt he should. He also didn't know what that monster attacking them was.
Tears gathered in his eyes. He couldn't remember how he got here, or anything for that matter. He tried to think who his mom and dad were, but he couldn't picture them. He tried to think about where he came from, but his mind would go blank. The only thing he could remember was that his name was Ichigo. Where did his memory go?
The light vanished, and the lady fell to the ground. Ichigo felt worried for her. He got up on shaky legs, but his knees felt like noodles, causing him to collapse. He grunted as he hit the wet, muddy ground but didn't let the failure stop him. He needed to make sure the woman was okay.
Ichigo got his legs under him and began to push himself up, but he saw the monster about to clamp its jaws around the kind woman. His eyes widened in horror and panic. He had to save her! But before he could do anything, a colorful blur shot past Ichigo and thrust a fist through the white mask of the monster.
Ichigo was in awe at how powerful the person was. The new man had purple hair, eyes, smooth skin, orange armor, and butterfly wings. He looked like a fairy but much bigger than Ichigo imagined.
The newcomer looked at the lady first, prompting Ichigo to do the same. Her eyes were blank, their shine missing, but her chest moved faintly, informing Ichigo she was alive. Ichigo felt his body relax when he took note of her condition. She was okay. Ichigo knew she needed to see a doctor, but he had no clue where to find one; hopefully, this man did.
Speaking of the man, Ichigo looked back at him. The elder was looking at him now. Ichigo couldn't understand the look in his eyes, but he felt he should run. The butterfly man walked closer to Ichigo, who tried to move away but was rooted to the spot.
The man knelt in front of him and smiled. "Hello, I'm Papillon Myu. I'm a Specter of Lord Hades. I was sent here to eliminate you by one of my superiors. Sorry, kid, it's nothing personal. I'm just doing my job," Myu said, scaring Ichigo more.
Myu shifted, reaching a hand out to grab the child by the throat, but paused. Ichigo didn't understand why, but he caught the Specter muttering.
"Darn, those false gods. They always get in the way of missions in this town." Ichigo wondered who these false gods were but knew he wouldn't find out now. Myu's hand shot out and grabbed the child. Ichigo yelped in startlement. He didn't even see the man move. "We need to go somewhere else," Myu said as he sank into a shadow.
Ichigo tried to fight, pulling his arm as hard as a nine-year-old could, but the grip was powerful. There was no way this man was human. No matter how hard the child yanked, the grasp was unmoving.
Panic snared the child with its sharp, jagged, deathly claws. It grabbed his heart, pulling and squeezing. Sweat mixed with the rain, creating small waterfalls on his ghostly white skin. Ichigo's lungs began to hurt because his breath was uneven, fast, and ragged. He couldn't get enough air, which prevented him from seeing his surroundings change from a riverside to an open field with trees and a mountain in the distance.
"What the… this isn't Italy…" Ichigo faintly heard Myu say. "No matter. Those fakes can't interfere. Now, child, I'll make this quick so you won't feel a thing." A shine reflected from the armor as Myu lifted his arm. Ichigo's brown eyes remained glued to the powerful limb as it swung down, aiming for his neck.
Ichigo sealed his eyes, waiting for the cold grip of death to behead him, but no pain came. Instead, the sound of metal hitting flesh reached his ears. Ichigo reluctantly opened his eyes to see what saved him. A long, blue-haired man in a plain, off-white shirt, brown pants, and straw hat blocked the Specter's attack with his hand. Ichigo's savoir grinned darkly.
"You were a fool for coming here, Specter. Don't you know this is my domain?" the man questioned mockingly, causing fear to appear on the butterfly man's face.
"Defteros of Gemini!"
