Chapter 22

Two days have passed.

Naoya had used one of his free days to go to the domain, looking about, he was taken aback to how silent it was, but, he soon ignored that when he saw Toji. "TOJI!" he called in excitement.

However, Toji wasn't that happy to see him, in fact, he appeared more confused than anything.

"Naoya, why are you here?" he asked.

Naoya had to fill him in on what was happening among the divine, when he explained that they intend to invade here, it took Toji aback once more, but… "Do they have a death wish or something?"

"I know right!" Naoya protested. "I thought you should know, they intend on coming here to take out the demon dragons. At the same time… they only know of the TWO demon dragons that live here…"

"Ah, that's because of the bling…" Toji then remembered as he reached into his shirt and took out a dragon tooth necklace. Naoya paused to this. "No wonder I don't sense all of your power…" he muttered.

"It's suppose to hide the fact, I'm a dragon. How is it that you knew right away when you saw me?"

Naoya smirked. "I know your aura better than anyone else! Of course I knew you were a dragon right away since it changed." He said bluntly. "Anyways… where's the Tooru?"

"Why?" Toji suddenly got defensive. "You don't care for Yua or the Tooru clan, why are you here to see her?"

"I was just in the neighborhood…" Yet, as Naoya tried to think of lies, he sighed. Reaching into his kimono he took out a small leather bag and placed it in Toji's hands.

"This…"

"It's a special blended powder that is used to help traumatic recovery according to the source, I have appraised it myself and have deemed it to be true, but, it's better for a dragon to peer it over in case there is a curse on it or something…"

He waited as Toji peered at the leather bag. He paused oddly to this but sighed aloud. "We better take it to the four arm bastard."

Naoya paused to the sight before him.

In fact, it appeared the place had exploded; the communal kitchen… was something out of kitchen nightmares.

"What the hell is this!?" Naoya demanded.

"You got an inner Gordon Ramsey or something?" snickered Toji. Naoya however was too caught up in his own energy. He stormed the kitchen, kicked out Sukuna and Rook before cleaning everything in an instant.

He turned to the two and said. "NEVER AGAIN!"

Rook was stunned silent.

Sukuna looked at him as if NAOYA had a death wish. "Who invited you?!" Sukuna snapped back. "For that matter…" before he could continue to lecture him. Naoya stopped him as Toji gave the leather bag to Sukuna. He said nothing as he opened it up and saw what was inside.

He froze to this.

"Where?" Sukuna asked. "Where did you get this?!"

Naoya sighed. "Those who live under my protection have been working hard after I told them what happened to the Tooru monarch. One happens to be a connection from across the ocean. This medicine was given to me by a familiar of a sorcerer…"

"You know who made that?" asked Toji.

"Yes, she struck me over the head with a ceremony staff…" he said offhandedly as he lower left arm began to rub his head where he was struck. But it appears the item was not tampered with, Sukuna even looks like he trusts the remedy! "Either way, this is good… Rook, lessons on hold for now!"

Rook nodded without hesitation. "If it can help my mom, take all the time you need."

Naoya paused oddly as he stared at Rook.

"What?" Toji whispered.

"What's with that kid?" Naoya whispered. "He looks like a monkey and yet…"

This caught Toji's attention. "And yet? What does that even mean? You sensing divine energy in him?"

He shook his head. "No… it's primal."

Suddenly, he had Sukuna's attention. "Did you just say Primal?" he asked of Naoya.

He nodded. "Yeah, I sense no energy, curse or divine but… something is there. It almost mimics a technique."

"What? I don't have curse energy or anything like that!" Rook protested. "It's the whole reason why I have heavenly restrictions!"

Naoya doesn't like being corrected.

Especially by a punk ass possible monkey child!

So, he approached Rook and began to peer him over. Naoya had no idea that his eyes were shining as he did such a thing, yet Rook stood there and let him stare into him before nodding. "There's something happening, I've never seen anything like it before." Naoya decreed. "Then again, he's a Gojo…"

"Tooru" Rook and Sukuna said in a correcting tone. "The Gojos want him dead, if that's the case, they don't deserve a sorcerer like him." Sukuna decreed.

"I have a long way to go, I know I may seem insignificant to a lot of people right now, but I am going to change that!" Rook said proudly. "I've eaten some terrible things in the past two days and they are only going to get worst… right?" he asked as he peered at Sukuna.

That evil smile explained everything.

With a sight, Rook looked to Naoya. "Thanks for letting me know there was something going on with me, and thanks… for looking after my mom…"

Speaking of which.

"Boy, I'm going to tend to your mother for a while…"

"Okay."

"You have homework, and take Calypso with you" he said, as his smile grew dark. Rook sighed but nodded as he excused himself from the communal kitchen.

Sukuna decided to get to work as Toji excused himself to speak of the impending attack coming.

Naoya couldn't bring himself to leave the kitchen just yet.

"Are you here to stare or to help?" demanded Sukuna.

"I'll help… but I don't know why I want to…"

Sukuna snorted a laugh. He began to heat up water and portion out the powder given. "So what is that stuff?"

"Special mixture of herbs that is used to cure insanity, depression and trauma. Depending on the sickness will determine on the amount needed." He explained. "By the way, in case if you were wondering. You would need all the green tea in China to make enough to cure my madness back in the day…"

"Good to know, I wouldn't go through that much effort for you. So how is this done?"

This brought a pause to the king of curses, he peered at Naoya and smirked. "Your divine side is taking over" he snickered.

"What?! What makes you say that?" Naoya demanded.

"I know for a fact that the Zen'ins hold a grudge against the Toorus, constant rejection among one of the reasons. At the same time, your clan was so jealous of them it was hilarious…" Sukuna said and snickered. "You knew how pathetic you were compared to the Toorus and yet, you still sat among the three great families…"

Despite what he said and getting pissed off about it. Naoya found himself oddly unable to express that anger. "Are you done?" Naoya asked.

"Far from it, but you appear to endure my heckling, I'll stop for now. But still, my main point is this, a true Zen'in wouldn't give a shit about Yua's condition. Divine, curse or sorcerer… with the exception of those in your clan who knew otherwise and were treated like shit."

"I have no argument…" Naoya said bluntly. "You think this is my divine side coming out?"

"Without a doubt, as I said, you could careless about Yua's condition, however, those of the divine who respect the dragons… respect her and her clan just as much. Which is why you were given this, despite the fact this is from across the world."

He never thought of that.

Still, Naoya felt compelled to stay and watch everything. Three scoops of this is needed for trauma; one scoop for insanity according to Sukuna and two scoops of the powder for depression. It was an interesting formula and when mixed with warm water it's purple.

The drink was made, and Naoya felt compelled to follow Sukuna to the hospital.

There, he saw Yua Tooru for the first time in a while.

Naoya froze.

She laid there, pale and appearing dead to the world, there was little life in her eyes as she stared, but by Sukuna's observation, the look has lightened a lot. "Her eyes are not as wide and she is blinking more, it's slow, but it is progress." He decreed.

"Who the fuck did this!?" Naoya roared.

It startled the room, but once more, no reaction from Yua.

"Mind your tone…" Sukuna said in seething rage, but kept his voice low. "She's VERY sensitive!"

"Still… why does this piss me off?!" Naoya demanded. "I mean… I shouldn't give a shit about her! I wouldn't hesitate to badmouth her back when we had the Zen'in clan, I don't respect woman sorcerers at all and yet…" he continued to glare at her. "Why does this upset me!?"

"Told you," Sukuna warned. "It's your divine side." He said and snickered. "But, you also don't know the whole story…" for that, Sukuna took him out of the room and the hospital as soon as he explained to Satoru Gojo to get his wife to drink the beverage he made.

When they stepped outside, Naoya peered at Sukuna oddly. "It has to be more than that, I mean, seriously, I could give a shit about a woman…"

"Who made you this way?" Sukuna asked bluntly.

Naoya glared at him. "You know who made me like this, Suiryu!" he protested. "So what of it!"

"How does Suiryu feel about Yua? Are you aware he see and treats her like his mother?"

"Tsk, yeah, that bastard didn't have a mother at first…"

"Take the hint" Sukuna said bluntly.

Naoya paused he didn't understand what Sukuna was trying to hint towards, but ignored it anyways. "So, what else happened to her?"

Sukuna sighed and said. "She lost three children… the ones she was carrying and have yet to give birth to,"

Rage…

Why was there a sudden rage building in Naoya?

"I… see… that… that would be rather… terrible…"

"You look like you are going to burst…"

Naoya forced a smile. "Oh… I'm fine…" he then paused as a very twisted grin came over him, as if he had gone mad. "Tell me, Sukuna, that boy you are training… what does he need to eat?"

The twisted grin grew on the King of Curses. He in fact left and came back with a pen and paper. "Tell me what creatures you saw and have listened to who are prepared to come here… I'll let you know which ones you REALLY need to bring here, and the rest, I'll take care of."

"Give me the pen and paper"

Naoya spent twenty minutes in great detail writing down the divine creatures he saw, their strength, numbers, class and if any were a 'special individual'. He even went as far as appraising their skills, weapons and secret talents. After, he passed the paper back to Sukuna who peered it over quickly.

He paused oddly and stared at Naoya. "Had you been a sorcerer… I would have kept you for details like this."

Naoya didn't know if that was a compliment or insult, either way he smirked. "That's just from ONE location I have been to and from what I overheard in the lands I rule. I can go to other places…"

"See that you do, and if there are creatures out of the ordinary that catch your eye…"

"I'll let Toji know…"

"No, tell me directly" Sukuna ordered. "Its one thing for Toji to be aware of who he is facing… for the likes of me. I want to know what I'll be cooking later for Rook to eat!"
