In order to learn what it was that Piratetess wanted Demon King to see, he and the others made their way to the core of Interstellar's mainframe. When they arrived, Justice attempted to stop them in his form of carrying out justice. It already looked bad as Justice summoned out his powerful Planetary Guardian Mars at 2500atk points and still had all his life points. As for Demon King, all he had now was his Crew of Edens spell with 3000LP. Since his spell only works for monsters when they are special summoned from the extra deck, Demon King is left completely defenseless. With how things went last turn, Justice is set to make sure Demon King answers for the wrongs he did.
"This is where it will end for you." Justice said as he placed a face-down and that marked the end of his turn. "In the end, justice always prevails, and I am here to make sure that is exactly what happens."
"This duel is far from over." Demon King said as he wasn't going to back down.
"Do you have a plan?" Eden questioned. "The only card we have is Crew of Edens, and it can't help us at the moment."
"Maybe, but Grandpa taught me to never give up a duel until it's over. You just need to have faith in your cards. I guess it all comes down to what I draw next. It's my turn now. I draw!" Demon King said as he drew his next card. "I activate Gravity Wave! This spell will switch your Planetary Guardian Mars' attack and defense points!" He said as Justice's warrior lost power as it now had 2200atk points.
"That didn't make much of a difference." Wiseman said.
"Maybe, but it seems like he has a plan." Kyubi said.
"I summon my Hero of the Vast!" Demon King said as he summoned a warrior in blue armor and a cape with him wielding a royal spear and had a total of 1900atk points. "Then, since I was able to normal summon a monster, I can now summon Gravity Magician!" He claimed as he summoned out his magician and it's 1500atk points. "When Gravity Magician is summoned from it's own effect, it's special ability causes one monster to lose 400atk points! I'm aiming right for your Planetary Guardian!" His magician used some of it's power to weaken Mars with it now having 1800atk points. "It's now weak enough for my Hero of the Vast to attack and take it down! Attack!" His hero shot itself forward and thrusted its spear with it destroying Mars and caused Justice's life points to drop down to 3900.
"There is one problem now. After Hero of the Vast attacks, it has to switch in defense mode and it has to stay like that until the end of our next turn." Eden said with the hero taking a knee and had 0def points. "It might have only been a mere 100LP, but at least we managed to destroy Mars. Justice doesn't have any cards in his hand either. The odds of him making a comeback are quite slim now, and will be slimmer if your next attack works."
"That's just what I was about to do." Demon King said. "Gravity Magician, attack him directly!"
"You might want to rethink that!" Justice said. "I activate my Planetary Guardian Alliance trap!" He said as his trap activated. "Since you destroyed a Planetary Guardian, this trap allows me to summon another Planetary Guardian from my extra deck as long as it's the same card type as the one you destroyed. Since Mars was a synchro monster, the one I summon must be another synchro monster."
"He can summon another one of those things?!" Wiseman said as he and the others were surprised to hear that.
"That's right! Watch and see!" Justice said. "This one is empowered by the largest planet in our system! The mightiest of my guardians! Planetary Guardian Jupiter!" In the flash of powerful bolt of lightning, a more powerful guardian arrived. This yellow warrior that radiated with electricity was coated in white armor with a blue cape and had a total of 3000atk points.
"No way!" Demon King said as he was surprised to see that thing.
"Just when he destroyed a strong monster, a more powerful monster takes it's place." Kyubi said.
"I'm afraid we don't have anything at the moment to beat it." Eden said. Not good for Demon King.
"Eden, can you tell me anything about these Planetary Guardians?" Demon King asked. Eden did a quick search.
"Let's see... There are eight of those cards in total, one for each planet in the solar system." Eden claimed. "Each one representing the inner planets and each of the outer planets is a card type that belongs to the extra deck such as fusion, synchro, xyz, and link monsters. As you can clearly see, the two synchro monsters represent Mars and Jupiter."
"I'm afraid it is only going to get worse for you. Planetary Guardian Alliance has another effect. A very potent one at that." Justice said. "As long as Planetary Jupiter is on the field, my trap will gain one counter during each standby phase. When there are a total of four counters on this card, I can destroy this card and then you lose 1000LP for each counter."
"A 1000LP for each counter?!" Wiseman said as that effect sounded real dangerous for Demon King.
"That will eliminate all of his life points!" Aoneko said.
"So, I'm going to lose all of my life points in four turns?!" Demon King said.
"I believe he plans to beat us before that happens." Eden said. "However, if we can figure out how to destroy Planetary Guardian Jupiter before he has all the needed counters, we won't have to worry about it."
"So I need to bring down Jupiter before he has four counters." Demon King understood. "For now, I'm just going to place a face-down to end my turn."
"A good effort, but I'm afraid it just wasn't good enough." Justice said. "I do wonder why Elsie sent you."
"He keeps referring to Piratetress by her real name." Aoneko said. "That has to mean he knows her personally. That has me wondering even more. What does he have against her?"
"Hey! What's the deal?! What do you have against Piratetress?" Wiseman said as he just came out and asked. It did seem like it was a tough subject for him.
"Let me answer that with a question. What exactly is your relation with her?" Justice asked.
"With Piratetress? Honestly, I don't really know her, but she somehow knows me." Demon King said. "I never met her until just before we dived into this place."
"And yet you're still doing her work." Justice said. "I saw your duel against her. It wouldn't surprise me if she lost to you on purpose just to do her dirty work. Maybe there's really nothing on here for you. Maybe she is lying to you to get what she wants. It does sound like something who acts like a pirate would do."
"You mean... She tricked us?" Kyubi said.
"Could that be true?" Aoneko questioned as they were all wondering if that's what really happened.
"It seems you've been played." Justice said. "Despite that, I will not show leniency. You must answer to the consequences for your own actions, even if she is just using you."
"No." Demon King said with no doubt. "I'll admit that I don't know her that well, but she knew someone that was important to me. If she was a friend to him, she's a friend to me. That's all the reason I need to trust her."
"Demon King, as nice as that sounds, are you sure about that? She never indicated to being a friend." Eden said. "What if Justice is right and we are just being used?"
"Well, that's why we have to keep going. The only way to know is to push on ahead." Demon King said and then faced Justice. "What I like to know is how do you know her? Answer Wiseman's question. What do you have against her?"
"If you must know, Elsie worked at Interstellar herself." Justice admitted with all of them surprised to hear that. "In fact, I've known her longer than that. She and I have been friends since we were children."
"Does that mean we can be friends?" Demon King said as he was starting to get chipper.
"Now is not the time for such questions." Eden said.
"We were friends, but now I can't stand that woman." Justice admitted. "Interstellar has worked with local authorities since many criminals have used Duel Links, as you all probably saw for yourself. However, there's a limit to some of the things we can do and it just wasn't enough to Elsie. She thought we could do more, but that would require bending, going around, and maybe even breaking laws. She and acted like a vigilante, and she of all people knows how much I hate that."
"That must have been what she meant!" Aoneko said as she remembered what Piratetress said about some not being brave enough to bend the rules. "She wasn't satisfied with the way things were done, so she decided to go rogue."
"And based on everything this guy told us about himself, he is really against that." Wiseman said. "No wonder it sounds like he can't stand her."
"She was my friend, but she ended up betraying me." Justice claimed with him having great disdain for her. "Knowing she had a part of this makes me angry. As far as I'm concerned, that makes you and your friends guilty by association, and I will bring you down! It's my turn! I draw!" Justice drew his next card and continued with the duel. "My trap now gains one counter!" He said as his trap gained one. Three more and he could end the duel. "Planetary Guardian Jupiter, make his magician disappear! Galactic Lightning!" His guardian unleashed a fierce blast of lightning and destroyed Demon King's magician with his life points dropping down to 1500. "I now activate Jupiter's ability! After he attacks, I can destroy one card on the field! Say goodbye to your Hero of the Vast!" Demon King's warrior got blasted and was destroyed as well. "You just simply don't have a chance."
"I wouldn't be so sure!" Demon King said. "I activate Elliptical Chase! I can only activate this trap when a monster is destroyed by battle and by an effect on the same turn! It allows me to summon two more monsters to the field, but their attack and defense points drop down to zero. I summon Gravity Guard and Gravity Reverser!" He summoned out his two monsters, one of them being a projector-like machine with four legs. Both of them had now zero defense points.
"At least he got Gravity Guard on the field." Kyubi said. "It will block at least one attack every turn."
"Yeah, but it won't stop damage." Aoneko said. "He needs to figure out how he's going to get rid of Planetary Guardian Jupiter and needs something now." It's not looking good for Demon King, but he's not giving up.
"I now activate Protocol Exemplary." Justice said. "It allows both of us to draw two cards. As I said before, I'm not one without honor." Both of them drew two cards and hopefully they're ones that can help. "I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"He certainly isn't holding anything back." Eden said. "It would seem that just us interacting with Piratetress has upset him."
"I'll say." Demon King said. "He might claim he's fighting for justice, but it does sound like it's a lot more personal to him. I don't know much about crime and punishment, law and order, or any of that other stuff. Still, I can't let this guy stop me."
"If you lose, you might not learn what it is she wants you to know. To go through all of this, it must be something important." Eden said.
"It's not just that." Demon King said. "If I lose, what will happen to you? What will happen to them?" He said as he turned to his new friends. After coming this far, how could he not call them that. "You might think I'm doing all this simply because I want to, Justice, but there is more to it than that. I'm fighting for something myself! It's my turn! I draw!" He drew his next card and it ended up paying him off.
"Don't forget about my trap! It gains another counter!" Justice said as a counter came on his trap. "Just two more and you're finished!"
"We'll see about that! When I have two Edens or two Gravity monsters on the field, I can summon this monster without a tribute! I summon Edens Demon King!" Demon King called. He summoned out his ace monster as it emerged on the field with 2500atk points.
"That's your ace monster, isn't it?! Well, it won't help you against me!" Justice said as their two ace monsters were about to face each other. Just which one of them will be the one that wins in the end? Whose conviction is stronger?
