Code Geass: Sabrina of the Salvation
Chapter 14: Ilse's Visit
Year: 1385
Inside his own cabin within the British Woods, Merlin stirred the misty grey concoction in his cauldron.
Merlin was a slender elderly wizard with fair skin, dark maroon eyes, long white hair and beard. He wore a long dark green robe.
Beside a table with a few chairs, his cabin's most available surfaces were cluttered with potions, bowls, vials, papers and other tools for the old yet wise wizard to use when necessary.
However, Merlin frowned as he felt a disturbing presence that appeared to be messing with time and space.
"There's something wrong. I can feel it in my bones. And the folk of the village know it, too."Merlin retorted with a glare."Thanatos, that black-hearted devil, what's he planning? I sense…shadows…and…ghosts…"
Merlin looked at the misty concoction inside his cauldron.
"Since the end of Sir Ricardo and Queen Elizabeth's reign, their descendants, the Britannian Imperial Family, have been doing nothing but abuse their power and trample over the lives of those that have barely have power to defend themselves."Merlin scoffed, his voice was soft but mixed with anger and frustration."All of them have failed to see the true meaning of being royalty and the true essence of a monarchy. An utter disgrace."
The wizard paused from talking to pinch the bridge of his nose with his free hand as his anger soon faded away before he continued mixing the concoction in his cauldron.
"Though there shall be a royal reign which shall stretch her white rod over the Belgic shore and the great dark forces smite so sore withal that it will make him shake and fall."Merlin stated."Only she shall correct all the wrongs that the Britannian Imperial Family have committed…and worthy to wield Excalibur."
Present Day
In Pendragon…
Cornelia sat down by herself while drinking a cup of coffee in Empress Victoria's home residence, Taurus Villa.
The purple haired woman was thinking about how her life changed after Emperor Schneizel's defeat.
Gave up being in charge of the Royal Guard and being a teacher that taught young people to be skilful Knightmare pilots.
Even married Guilford; her most trusted knight, who remained loyal to her no matter.
Also her numerous half-sisters and half-brothers of the Britannian Imperial Family were alive as well as all others that lived in Pendragon and their new sovereign was Marrybell.
More importantly, Euphemia was alive and enjoying her life attending school in Ashford Academy and soon would be graduating.
But only because Sabrina came and changed for them for the better.
If Schneizel succeeded in getting things his way, the Black Knights would've betrayed Lelouch at the drop of a hat.
They would've even used Kallen as bait to coax Lelouch out and threatened to kill her just because she might be under the effect of Geass.
At the end, Lelouch made that grand plan to make himself a dictator and have himself sacrificed by Suzaku dressed as the 'new' Zero with all the evil deeds being blamed on him.
Exactly how it happened in Sabrina's timeline.
As Cornelia thought about it more, it was practically her own fault that Euphemia ended up being Suzaku's obsession and created that Special Zone in Japan that would've really made no different since no one in the Britannian Imperial Family supported her. Not even Emperor Charles or herself.
She loved her younger sister, but she never really listened to her and actually be there for when she needed her the most because she actually placed her military duties before anything else.
And the reason that Suzaku and Euphemia 'loved' each other because they both shared the belief that a problem can be changed from within which was practically stupid and untrue as Sabrina said.
Though Lelouch's Geass...that massacre ended Euphemia and stained her name in a way that even she didn't expect.
Especially since the society of Holy Britannian Empire treated those that were Britannians as superiors and those that were not Britannians labelled as Numbers or to be used as scrapegoats.
She then remembered what Sabrina told her before they headed off to rescue Marrybell.
"You are not forgiven like the rest of the blood-sucking parasites. And it will take some big miracle to let that ever happening."
A big miracle.
That was the only thing that can actually make Sabrina forgive her and the other members of the Britannian Imperial Family, who abused their power and wasted their lives hurting others.
If such a thing even existed.
The purple haired princess used to look up to Marianne the Flash a lot beside admiring her.
After Emperor Charles met his demise, Bismarck brought out the truth that her idol (Marianne the Flash) willingly abandoned Lelouch and Nunnally and attempted to destroy reality with her father, the image of the heroic warrior woman was forever shattered in Cornelia's mind.
Not only that.
Sabrina was also utterly upset upon learning her paternal grandmother was just as bad as her paternal grandfather.
Just when you think you know people, they disappoint you in ways you never thought they would.
Then again there had never really been a member of the Britannian Imperial Family, who became the next ruler of the Empire that really was a good role model for all of them to look up to…and probably never will be.
All of them committed sins and neither of them were better than each other.
No wonder her niece had no room in her heart for forgive any of them.
Then Guilford came inside and gave his wife a kiss on the forehead.
"Slept well, my princess?"Guilford asked.
Cornelia gives her husband a small smirk.
"Guilford, no need to act formal with me."Cornelia reminded."I'm not a princess anymore."
"But I've always been your knight and wanted to protect you before anything, so that makes you my princess."Guilford remarked.
"Right."Cornelia said simply.
Guilford notice something was bothering his wife causing him to sit next to her.
"If I had known Lelouch and Nunnally were alive and what my actions would have caused I would have taken Euphemia and left the military for a life among commoners."Cornelia admitted.
"With Lelouch and Nunnally you mean."Guilford assumed.
"Exactly."Cornelia agreed."That's the problem with being in the Royal Family, we don't act like one. Since Marrybell became the next Empress, people have embraced the changes she brought. But change isn't always easy."
"If you're worried about Carine and the rest of your half-siblings, I don't think any of them will be a threat to Empress Marrybell."Guilford said.
"It's not that, Guilford."Cornelia replied with a small frown."I mean the word 'Family' should be a group of people that are related to each other, but treat each with love and care as well as providing security and a sense of belonging. But instead we acted no better than animals. We followed my father's ideology and conquered other nations to Britannian rule. Me and my other siblings competed against each other to be next the ruler of Britannia. Even if it meant killing one another."
"But that's how the Britannian Imperial Family always did before your father ascended the throne."Guilford stated.
"Well, it's wrong."Cornelia scoffed."I've really wasted my life violently and so ruthlessly put civilisation after civilisation in chains. My blindness to the obvious wrongs of my nation cost me and my family untold amounts of suffering. How do I expect myself becoming a good mother after everything I did?"
Guilford brought himself forward and gives Cornelia a soft kiss on the lips.
"Our future is uncertain because our soldierly sins are coming back to haunt us."Guilford admitted."But whatever happens, I want to make sure I'm facing it with you."
A forced yet bright smile grew on Cornelia's face at hearing her husband's words.
They couldn't rewrite the mistakes they did, but only hope to redeem themselves to the people around them.
Even those who don't attend to ever forgive them.
At the Stadtfeld Manor…
Sabrina couldn't help but smile brightly at the way Lelouch and Kallen were dressed.
Lelouch wore a white shirt underneath a dark purple waistcoat topped with a long gold trimmed, dark purple tailcoat tuxedo top with patterned beige gold lining buttons and matching trousers. His shoes were black. His long plum purple cloak with defined high neck was patterned gold lining, and richly embroidered in gold at the hems. Each side was linked by a golden chain. His hands were covered by white gloves.
Kallen wore an exquisite gown with long see through pink fabric sleeves and a white low-cut blouse worn under a ruby red corset with gold patterns that revealed her bust a bit. The skirt bottom of the dress was ruby red with a couple of frills that had pink linings on it and showed her legs a bit while behind it was a stylish long big bow that was in a darker shade of red. Around her neck was a ruby red choker with a pink rose pendant with short yellow leaves dangling on it. Her shoes were ruby high heeled shoes. Her red hair was styled in a short stylish ponytail while a couple of her front bangs looked loose in a bit wild and had a pink flower hair band with a small white bow attached to it. On her hands were a pair of thin white lace gloves with gold strings on the wrist parts.
"Whoa, mum and dad."Sabrina remarked in delight."You two look great."
"So do you, Sabrina."Lelouch replied, looking at the dress that his future daughter."The dress that Marrybell gave you suit you well."
Kallen couldn't help, but blush due to her bust showing a bit.
"Don't you think this exposes a bit too much of my chest?"Kallen asked.
"I think you look amazing."Lelouch praised smugly.
Kallen gives Lelouch a smirk and playful punch on the arm.
"Since the three of us are ready, we shouldn't keep her waiting?"Sabrina suggested.
"Yeah."Kallen agreed with a nod."We totally shouldn't."
"Let's go then."Lelouch said with a small frown and thought desperately."Heaven, help us."
Lelouch, Kallen and Sabrina made their way down the stairs, only to be greeted by Mei, who carried her infant granddaughter in her arms.
Mei wore a simple cerulean blue dress with white designs and her hair was worn loose with a lily flower hairpin on it.
Baby Sabrina wore a rose pink dress that had adorable embroidered bunnies to the hem and a pretty frill collar with white tights and rose pink shoes. Her crimson red hair had a rose pink butterfly shaped bow on it.
"Oh my, you all look outstanding."Mei praised kindly.
The infant baby girl simply gurgled a respond.
"Thank you, mum."Kallen answered.
Sabrina checked her appearance one more time before following her loved ones into the living room.
Most people never get to meet their Great-Grandparents or Great-Grandchildren, so this was going to be an important and special event for her.
Mei, Lelouch, Kallen and Sabrina arrived in the entrance of the living room.
There in the single velvet sofa chair within the living room sat Baroness Ilse Stadtfeld holding a pair of antique lorgnette glasses on her left hand while her other hand held a box with the title 'Madame Bovary'.
Baroness Ilse wore a black gown with a golden brooch near her neck that had a green gem in it, and the gown had a high crimson collar with extended crimson sleeves and black matching low heeled boots. She wore small crimson orb-shaped earrings as well as her wedding ring on her right hand. Her grey hair was styled in a braid ponytail that had a small black veil attached to it.
"Isle, look who's here."Mei remarked.
"Who?"Ilse questioned, not taking her eyes of her book.
"Well, look."Mei insisted.
"If I wanted to look, I would look."Ilse said."I haven't looked therefore you must draw your own conclusions."
Lelouch frowned at his grandmother-in-law's respond as Jordan, wearing a grey tuxedo, walked forward and handed a glass of gin cocktail to Ilse.
"Ah, thank you, dear boy."Ilse responded.
"You're welcome, mother."Jordan answered.
Ilse then notice Mei, Lelouch, Kallen and Sabrina.
"Hi, Gran."Kallen greeted with a wave.
"Kallen."Ilse said.
"Yes, it's so good to see you again."Kallen remarked.
Sabrina gave a little anxious smile as her great-grandmother's eyes went on her.
"Mother, this is Sabrina."Jordan declared."You haven't met her yet."
"No, I don't believe I have."Ilse answered."Though only the baby version of her."
Sabrina gives Ilse a small wave.
"Hello."Sabrina remarked.
"Come."Ilse insisted."I want to get a very good look at both of you."
Kallen and Sabrina made their way to Ilse while Mei and Lelouch stood where they were.
"My, she's lovely."Ilse praised and looked at Jordan."I see she inherited your red hair as Kallen did."
"Yes, she did."Jordan chuckled.
"How's your health?"Ilse asked.
"Oh, good."Kallen answered.
"Very healthy."Sabrina assured.
"Good. That means you're an athletic type as your mother."Ilse remarked."We, Stadtfelds, are expected to be strong beside having good health. Am I right, Jordan?"
"That's true, mother."Jordan agreed.
"Your father can barely run or skilfully pilot a Knightmare."Ilse scoffed.
"Ma'am, I am right here."Lelouch reminded with a fake bright smile.
"Dad was more of the intellectual type, Great-Gran."Sabrina complemented.
"Yes, but in a way his also a bit sick."Ilse declared.
"I'm hardly sick."Lelouch informed.
Ilse glanced at Lelouch and gave him an unimpressed look.
"You're sick right now."Ilse declared firmly."You still have your stamina, don't you?"
"Yes."Lelouch answered, still giving a fake smile."But I'm more of the intellectual type as Sabrina said."
Sabrina looked at Lelouch.
"Are you sick, daddy?"Sabrina asked.
"Nope."Lelouch answered and thought irritatedly."Just a headache that is growing every minute now."
Ilse glanced at her daughter-in-law.
"And how you've been doing these days?"Ilse questioned."Hopefully, you're not using Refrain anymore."
"Not at all, ma'am."Mei answered.
"Let's all hope it stays that way."Ilse suggested and glanced at Kallen."You don't drink?"
"Uh, well..."Kallen started.
"Mei, get your daughter a drink."Ilse ordered.
"White wine."Kallen requested.
"Of course."Mei said with a nod.
"I'm going to go get the hors d'ouevres."Lelouch insisted.
Mei handed Baby Sabrina to Kallen before she and Lelouch headed out of the living room.
Kallen and Sabrina sat down in the corner sofa that was near where Ilse sat.
"So you're Sabrina."Ilse assumed.
"Yes, ma'am."Sabrina said with a nod.
"My son speaks of you constantly."Ilse admitted."He seems very fond of you."
"Aw, I'm very fond of him too."Sabrina remarked.
Jordan sat down on the sofa chair that was on the opposite side of his mother.
"This little girl is as smart as a whip and honest as a mirror, mum."Jordan praised proudly."I think she has a great deal of you in her."
"Really?"Ilse said with a smile."How nice."
Lelouch then entered with a tray of ricotta and roasted grape crostini before placing it on the small table while Mei brought in a bottle of white wine before she went to sit near Jordan.
"Hors d'ouevres."Lelouch stated.
Ilse gives her grandson-in-law a slight nod before glancing at her granddaughter while Lelouch sat next to Sabrina.
"So Kallen, since I've seen you last, you've grown up, gotten pregnant before wedlock and now raising a family of your own."Ilse commented."Tell me what you've been up to?"
"I'm still a member of the United Federation of Nations and pilot of the Guren beside being a mother."Kallen admitted.
"Hard work?"Ilse assumed.
"Yes it is."Kallen answered.
"Good. Hard work is good for a woman. Makes her stronger."Ilse declared."I admire people who enjoy hard work."
Ilse then looked at Sabrina.
"Now, let's talk about your education, Sabrina."Ilse said."Where are you attending school?"
"Lycée Louis Querbes Public School."Sabrina admitted.
"Sabrina is in the top ten percent of her class."Jordan remarked.
"We're very proud of our Sabrina."Mei said gratefully.
At Pendragon…
Marrybell told Odysseus of the information that she learned from Bertie about Excalibur and other information that may help take down the Keepers of the Order.
"So this fiend can be killed only by that mythical sword?"Odysseus asked.
"That's correct, Odysseus."Marrybell said with a nod."But I would advise Professor Chawla and Earl Asplund's aid on building new Knightmares to counter Thanatos' forces."
"Very well, sister."Odysseus stated."But I have no doubt that this Thanatos will not make this journey on those willing to retrieve Excalibur easy."
Then the door of the office opened and Carine came into the room.
"I apologise my dear older siblings, but I couldn't help but stop hearing you two talk about retrieving a wonderful and powerful sword."Carine sneered.
"Stay out of this, Carine."Marrybell retorted."This has nothing to do with you."
Carine gives Marrybell a smug look.
"As a matter of fact, it does."Carine answered as she sat on a nearby sofa."If Excalibur can be wielded by the rightful sovereign of Britannia, it's obvious that it is me who should wield it."
"Carine, you don't have the skill to wield a sword."Odysseus reminded.
"And the one who wields Excalibur has to be a good hearted person, who won't use its power to spread corruption."Marrybell informed with a stern look.
Carine glared at Marrybell and huffed in respond.
Odysseus brought his attention on Marrybell.
"Marrybell, who exactly have you chosen to retrieve Excalibur?"Odysseus asked.
"Our half-siblings; Joan, Emilie and Oscar."Marrybell admitted."Joan is an expert swordswoman, Emilie is an excellent archer and Oscar has great fighting skills whether in a Knightmare or not. And…"
"Who else?"Odysseus asked.
"Someone called 'Kitsune'."Marrybell admitted.
"Kitsune?"Odysseus said in confusion.
"Just who the heck is that?"Carine scoffed.
"That's out of the question."
Odysseus, Marrybell and Carine turned around to see Cornelia at the entrance with an unhappy look on her face.
"Do you know who this individual that Marrybell is talking about?"Odysseus asked.
"She's a sixteen year old girl and one of Zero's close allies."Cornelia admitted.
Carine glared at Marrybell.
"You're choosing a school girl and a stranger we don't have a clue who it is on a dangerous mission?"Carine scowled.
"You're going to have trust with my decision."Marrybell stated."Kitsune is also the one that helped me and Zero defeat Schneizel. She's worthy and will be a great help in retrieving Excalibur."
The Prime Minister of Britannia was silent for a moment before responding back.
"Very well, Marrybell. I trust with your decision."Odysseus answered with a smile."You are the Empress after all."
Carine rolled her eyes in disproval while Cornelia glanced at Marrybell.
"Marrybell, a word with you."Cornelia requested.
Marrybell followed Cornelia out of the office, leaving Odysseus and Carine by themselves.
As soon as the half-sisters were further away from the office, Cornelia started arguing with Marrybell.
"Have you lost your mind?"Cornelia scowled.
"On what, Cornelia?"Marrybell asked with an unfazed look.
"Embarking Sabrina on a dangerous journey."Cornelia retorted.
"Cornelia, you shouldn't put any worry on this."Marrybell said with a frown."And Sabrina can take care of herself. She's far wiser than we were at her age."
"I'm aware of that."Cornelia answered.
"Then you have no problem with my decision."Marrybell stated simply."And besides, it's also because of her that all of us here in Pendragon are in piece."
Cornelia's angry look vanished at Marrybell's declaration.
"That's right, Cornelia. Sabrina told me everything."Marrybell stated with an unhappy tone."From what occurred in her timeline and the same things would've happen here in this timeline, if she didn't come here."
"Marrybell, I-"Cornelia started.
Marrybell raised her hand up to prevent Cornelia from speaking.
"I'm still adjusting on what I've learned, Cornelia. And if word of this is spread out to any of our other siblings, I don't want to imagine how they will react on you helping Schneizel with his despicable charade and Lelouch sacrificing himself as a figure for the world to end up hating deeply."Marrybell stated sternly."And if you really attend to redeem yourself, you will then respect the decisions that I make as the Empress of Britannia because that is all I can order for you to do."
Marrybell then walked away, leaving Cornelia by herself in the hallway.
However, the two half-sisters were unaware that from hiding in the shadows, S.S had actually heard their conversation and smiled maliciously before disappearing from sight.
Back at the Stadtfeld Manor…
After eating dinner, Sabrina was having a private conversation with Ilse in a guest room that her great-grandmother would be staying in.
A tea cup and tray of treats had been set on the table while a pot of tea brewed on a hot kettle atop a silver trolley by Sayoko.
Sabrina finished eating the lychee nut pudding in a brown sugar demi-glace in her small dessert plate before bringing her attention back to Ilse.
"Great-Gran, may I ask you a question?"Sabrina asked.
"Fire away."Ilse encouraged.
Ilse lightened her cigarette as Sabrina took out the letter she gave her.
"Now, in your letter that you sent me on the day before, you said…'Loyalty to the ideal you have inherited is your duty above everything else because the calling comes from the highest source'."Sabrina exclaimed."From God himself."
"Yes."Ilse replied with a nod.
"Do you really believe that, Great-Gran?"Sabrina asked.
"Monarchy is God's sacred mission to grace and dignify the earth."Ilse declared in a slight strict tone."To give ordinary people an ideal to strive towards, an example of nobility and duty to raise them in their wretched lives. Monarchy is a calling from God. That is why one is crowned in an abbey, not a government building. Why one is anointed, not appointed. It's an archbishop that puts the crown on one's head, not a minister or public servant. Which means that person is answerable to God in their duty, not the public."
Sabrina looked at Ilse in awe.
"Wow…I never thought of that."Sabrina complemented."So what do you think a Monarchy is supposed to be?"
Ilse smoked on her cigarette before responding to her future great-granddaughter.
"What a Monarchy is suppose to be? They are supposed to be the highest example of what people could be."Ilse exclaimed in a stern look."And what have each current member of the Britannian Imperial family get from raging wars and bringing amorality to the world? Dishonouring the sacred duty and have brought utter shame to their families and the crown by dishonourable behaviour and lack of integrity."
Sabrina looked down at her great-grandmother's respond.
"Yeah. That's what many of them had been doing for a living."Sabrina answered with a frown."During the era of Emperor Charles, the Empire mostly followed an ideology of Social Darwinism. While the Emperor himself didn't hold most of the governmental power in theory, in practice he delegates regional control to his many children, and even those that do not govern a particular region also have considerable political and military power. Charles has stated that traditional 'Ten Commandments' morality was counter-progressive and believes that only internal struggle and military conquest can facilitate human evolution, and advocates such acts as adultery and murder. He didn't even make exceptions for his own children, as he showed no sympathy for their deaths, only pride in that those who cannot fend for themselves are being culled from the royal line."
There was silent for a moment before Sabrina took a deep breath before she continued talking to Ilse.
"When…When daddy took the throne, he quickly abolished many policies that grew during the Charles' era. These included the elimination of the aristocratic system, serious penalties for financial conglomerates engaging in or a part of illegal or illicit activities, and the abolition of the Number-Area system. This led to a rift among Britannian citizens with discontent among ex-nobles and approval among the commoners, causing agents and loyalists to dad to routinely set out to put down dissidents."Sabrina explained, fiddling with her hands a bit."However, during his regime, instead of moving towards democracy, the Empire would actually progress to be more dictatorial and domineering than ever. Opposing his regime were the Imperial Family, who have lost their power after he assumed the throne and stripped them of their nobility, and Knights of the Round, who were loyal to Charles. Dad actually intended all of this, as part of…the Zero Requiem."
Ilse smoked on her cigarette a bit more before putting it on the ashtray on the table.
"Then here is my advice to you."Ilse declared with a firm look."Since my youth, I have seen two sovereigns; Emperor Rhett and Emperor Charles brought down through their failure to separate personal indulgences from duty. You must not allow yourself to make similar mistakes, if the crown is ever one day placed on your head. The people in your timeline will need your strength and leadership. Overall, don't act cocky and have a overinflated ego as that father of yours and his own father did, sweet pea."
Sabrina was utterly silent at her great-grandmother's declaration.
She had no interest of ever being Empress Nunnally's successor if her aunt decided not to get married.
Her goal was just to travel and see new places around the world with her friends.
She doubted that she'll have enough supporters that would ever want her to ascend her aunt's throne after what her father did.
The red haired girl then came out of her thoughts and simply smiled at her great-grandmother.
"Thank you, Great-Gran."Sabrina thanked gratefully."I shall remember everything you told me."
Lelouch had an impatient look as he took another sip from his mocha latte while sitting in the dining room.
Jordan had forbid him from listening the conversation that Ilse and Sabrina were having together.
Since Sabrina was his daughter, the 11th Prince couldn't help but be deeply curious at what his future daughter was speaking with his great-grandmother about.
Kallen couldn't help, but smile smugly at her husband's behaviour.
"Lelouch, you're muttering."Kallen giggled.
"I don't mutter."Lelouch commented."Just wondering what your grandmother could actually be talking to Sabrina about."
"It's probably a thing between girls, Lelouch."Kallen remarked as she fed Baby Sabrina a bottle of milk."Don't act so suspicious."
Then Jordan walked up to his daughter and son-in-law.
"What my mother is talking to Sabrina about is something rather important."Jordan informed."It's about her future."
"Her future?"Lelouch questioned in surprise.
"Since Sabrina is from an alternative timeline…where things didn't turn well for any of us, there could be a chance that she may have do another big role in her life."Jordan admitted.
Both Lelouch and Kallen immediately realised when Jordan meant.
"Father, you can't be serious."Kallen replied in disbelief.
Kallen placed the milk bottle on the table as her infant daughter began to feel sleepy.
"My family is cursed, cursed by the thing we call 'claim to the throne'."Lelouch scowled."When someone has it, and isn't satisfied by the power they have with Emperor Charles' blood, a prince or princess who wish to be Emperor or Empress for example, hatred and jealousy will always overcome the desire for peace."
"Exactly. That's how it's always been with the Britannian Imperial Family."Jordan complemented."Each ruler that ends up sitting on the throne, ends up worse and corrupt as the previous ruler. But if someone in the royal family with quarter of her blood from a foreign land family, perhaps that can all chance."
"Sabrina is an amazing girl."Lelouch responded with a stern look."She doesn't deserve to throw her life in sitting on a throne chair that bought nothing, but chaos and misery to everyone in the world."
Jordan's glare sharpened as he looked at his son-in-law.
"I clearly know that, Lelouch."Jordan replied, his voice nearly cold as ice."But since the entire members of the Britannian Imperial Family ruled Britannia, the premier power of the world, with an iron fist and endlessly wages war on all foreign nations to expand and conquer them to cement the dominance of Britannia. All of you, including yourself, failed to be a true and good sovereign for the world to really look up to and become tyrannical monarchs like your ancestors before you. If that family of yours need a better example to be the next sovereign, then Sabrina is the right person for that role."
"But dad, Sabrina just wants to be a normal teenage girl."Kallen protested, her voice both stern and soft, so that she wouldn't wake up her infant daughter."Doesn't matter to you or Grandmother Ilse on what she actually wants to do in her life?"
"Sometimes one has to sacrifice something in order to do what is right."Jordan admitted.
Kallen looked down with a frown on her face as she looked at Baby Sabrina, who slept peacefully in her arms.
Lelouch felt Jordan's hurtful but honest words sink deep inside him.
It was entirely true.
The Britannian Imperial Family committed crimes throughout the world; Abuse of power and Terrorism.
Their goals were only to maintain absolute power and control over Britannia. Even expand and grow Britannia's borders and territory as well as conquer all foreign nations and leave Britannia as the sole superpower of the world.
And yes, they really needed a sovereign that was good-hearted and would inspire others to be the best person they can be.
But can it really be Sabrina?
His daughter from another timeline?
At the dark dimension that belonged to the Keepers of the Order, Black Magus sat alone, waving his hands over his crystal ball.
"No matter how beautiful a flower is, even the fairest withers with time."Black Magus said deeply."So inevitably, the Golden Age of Britannia, along with the Crown Prince's grandmother, will have the same ending."
As Black Magus chuckled with triumph, a projection of the future sovereign of the Holy Britannian Empire appeared before him.
Due to the projection being quite blurry, it showed only a woman in her late 50s wearing an extravagant gold silk gown and long dark hair.
Next chapter we will see our heroes back in action! See you all later and have a good day!
