Episode 12: The Best of the Best

Sonic, Eve, Mega Man and Mega Woman have been captured by Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily. And now, the two doctors are ready to unleash their greatest weapon, and rub it in the heroes faces.

"You're beaten," Wily boasts.

"You're broken!" Eggman boasts.

They both boast, "The Super Genesis Wave is ready to go! WE'VE WON!"

Then Eggman says, "To be fair, you did get past every one of our defenses…"

"But what else is new? Still, you came up short!" Wily says.

Still down, Bass angrily says to himself, "RRRGH! Idiot doctors I should have handled things myself…!"

"That, and cheated when you bypassed the Chaos Devil. Do you know how hard it was to plug a Devil Core into living water?!" Eggman says.

But Wily says, "Then again, it's currently keeping Duo at bay, and he would have been a bit of a problem. So we came out on top- AGAIN!"

"And there will be no last minute rescues for you this time!" Eggman adds.

Wily also adds, "All my time-clone Robot Masters are keeping your friends quite busy!"

Back in the battle…

Amy and Dr. Light are trying to give Tails treatment.

"I'm afraid I'm not the kind of doctor you need. I'll protect you as long as I can but…" Dr. Light says.

"Don't… give up now… Sonic and Eve… and Mega Man and Mega Woman… will save us," Tails says.

"I have faith they'll save our WORLDS, but right now WE need a miracle," Dr. Light says.

And right on cue, something comes from the sky and blasts the Robot Masters. Indeed, a miracle has happened, and they're destroying the Robot Masters.

A robot named Cut Man appears, "Mind if we cut in?"

"One miracle, coming right up," a Robot named Elec Man adds.

The miracle are the Original Light Robot Masters: Cut Man, Guts Man, Fire Man, Elec Man, Time Man, Oil Man, Bomb Man, and lastly Ice Man. Soon, all of them of the Robot Masters begins fighting Dr. Wily's robots.

Knuckles turns to Dr. Light."Just to be sure- these robots smash or no smash?

"No smash! NO SMASH!" Dr. Light confirms.

Then approaches Elec Man, "Elec Man! Wh- How-?!"

"Roll pull in the call to us right after Mega Man and Mega Woman went through the portal…" Elec Man answers, "Even with Duo on the way, she thought you'd need backup but you obviously do…! We got to the lab as soon as we could and fellow Duo's energy trail through this… weird… place. I can tell things are a disaster here. How's Mega Man and Mega Woman doing?"

"They along with Sonic and Eve are taking a bit longer than I'd…" Dr. Light says.

Then Proto Man says, "Duo went in a while ago. It should be over by now… Something's gone wrong."

"Well you're a robot-genius guy, right, Dr. Light?" Knuckles questions.

He then says, "Me and Proto guy can get you inside, cover our friends, and then you can wreck the doctors' whatever it is. These new guys can help cover things out here."

"Sounds like a plan," Elec Man. He snaps his fingers and says, "You three go on. My brothers and I will get this fight under control."

Then Elec Man passes a rose quartz heart shaped gem pendant to Dr. Light, "And Roll figured Mega Woman will need this."

"Thank you Elec Man," Dr. Light says.

With that, Knuckles, Proto Man, Dr. Light, and Rush take light to the Wily Egg.

Dr. Light removes the helmet and presents it to Proto man, "Blues don't forget your-"

"Keep it. At least until we're inside," Dr. Light says.

"Keep your head down, Tails!" Knuckles calls out.

Back in the Wily Egg…

Mega Man tries to reason with Dr. Wily, "Dr. Wily - PLEASE! This can't be what you want! You reshaped our REALITY!"

"Mega Man is right, it could cause more trouble than it's worth!" Mega Woman says.

But Wily scoffs, "Hmph, granted, slightly altering the world to my favor might have been fine for me - IN THE PAST. But Ivo opened my eyes to the notion of FULLY RESHAPING EVERYTHING! As I see fit! One of his, OVERLY EXTEME NOTION that's actually appealing…"

"Don't get lippy with me in front of the children!" Eggman says.

"This is the second time you've pulled this trick, Eggman. The universe wasn't meant to be warped all the time by jerks like you!" Sonic says, struggling to break free.

"Aren't you worried about BREAKING reality?" Eve cries out.

"Oh, our world has been so far out of shape, it's bound to SNAP!" Eggman says, "Yes I GLEEFULLY abused the fuzzy space-time of this zone to kidnap your friends and find all the Chaos Emeralds and all without you catching on! BUT…"

Wily turns to Eggman in shock, "Wait! Wait wait wait. You told me the Skull Egg Zone would let us CHEAT the rules of reality! You never said we'd BREAK our worlds!"

"BUT-AS I WAS SAYING-" Eggman angrily interrupts, "A that damage is moot. When we had only ONE Chaos Emerald, The Genesis Wave could simply bend the rules of reality, cheat them, and so on. Now that we have ALL SEVEN our SUPER Genesis Wave has NO LIMITS! Any damage we've done will be erased when we reshape everything else! So don't get your mustache in a knot!"

"Fine, but you need to TELL ME these things," Wily says, taking Eggman's word.

"And you're going to keep us trapped here and make us watch," Mega Man says, shocked.

Mega Woman shouts, "You're both SICK!

"What is this, a new low for YOUR DOC? 'Cause I'm not too surprised here," Sonic says.

"Yeah. Dr. Eggman is more insane than your doctor," Eve adds.

Sonic struggles to break free, "C'mon! Charge up your shooter thingy and blast us free!"

"And blow my leg off?" Mega Man asks, "Besides, the Rings have me and Mega Woman locked down. Why don't you just smash us both out?"

""inda needs some momentum for that buddy," Sonic says.

"Then what are we gonna do?" Mega Woman asks.

Soon, blasting through the walls are Knuckles and Proto Man.

"You let the REAL Heroes handle this!" Knuckles says.

"Knuckles!" Eve says, surprised.

"And Blues!" Mega Woman adds.

"Oh, man. Knux rescuing me. He's NEVER going to let me live this down…" Sonic replies.

Once inside, Proto Man and Knuckles begin their attack on Eggman and Wily.

Wily cries out "AHH! AHH! NO NO NO!"

"Get to the Egg-Wily Machine-X! Hurry! Hurr-" Eggman cries out, but quickly yelps, "EEEEEEEK!" while dodging Knuckles swing.

Meanwhile, Dr. Light begins to work on freeing the, "Hold on, everyone. I'll get you out of there in a second,"

"I'm so happy to see you alive!" Mega Man says, relieved.

"I'm glad that you're okay," Mega Woman adds.

Soon, Dr. Light is able to free the four from their restraints.

"There. Now we need to hurry to the Genesis Chamber hurry," Dr. Light says.

"Doc, I'm made of 'hurry.'" Sonic says.

Dr. Light turns to Mega Man and Mega Woman, I'm afraid I don't have any E-tanks to give you or Juniper, Rock. But if you use your Super Adaptor with Rush… It should give you a little bit of a boost."

"It's okay Dr. Light," Mega Man says, then turns to Rush, "Ready boy?"

Rush barks in reply.

Then Dr. Light gives Juniper her pendant, "Here Juniper, Roll believes that you'll be needing this."

"My pendant," Mega Woman says.

"Indeed. This should also help you activate your Super Adaptor," Dr. Light says.

"Thanks Dr. Light," Mega Woman says and takes the pendant.

Sonic and Eve stop and turn to the group.

"Wait… 'Super' Adaptor?" Sonic says, confused.

"What's that?" Eve asks.

Soon, Mega Man and Rush fuse together to give Mega Man a new red and light gray. He looks stronger.

Juniper opens the compartment on her chest, places the pendant in, and she changes to her Super Adaptor form. Her hair ends up going down as her suit becomes pink and white.

"Okay! Let's finish this!" Mega Man says.

"Wow. I didn't know you both can do that," Eve says.

"Eh, not bad," Sonic says, "But you just gave me a GREAT Idea. Let's go!"

Meanwhile…

Knuckles and Proto Man are trying to blast into Eggman and Wily from their machine.

Eggman presses the buttons on the controls, "Main fuel line open?"

"Check! Gyroscopic modifiers online?" Wily says.

"They're in the green!" Eggman says.

"LAUNCH READY!" Then they both say.

Soon, the robot launches and begins to make its way to space with the doctor.

"Keep them busy! I'll go for the Chaos-" Knuckles sys, but the robot begins blasting, WHOA!"

Don't draw too much power from the Genesis Chamber! Eggman says.

Wily turns to Eggman, "But the Genesis Chamber is powered by the Chaos Emeralds! YOU SAID their power was LIMITLESS!"

POTENTIALLY!" Eggman confirms, "But my concern is for the Genesis Wave! At this fragile stage we don't want -" But yelps "AHHH!" when Knuckles gets to the windshield.

Knuckles is ready to throw his fists, "You two ready to call it quotes? Or do I have to rough you up?""

"I'll show you 'rough' enjoy fifty thousand volts… protective shielding you-!" Wily says and presses the button.

But nothing is happening.

Wily panics, "-Why are my defenses offline?!"

Eggman chuckles, "Hahaha! He's all yours, Knuckles!" He then says, Now, Proto Man, hold still for a face full of death lasers!"

However, Eggman also notices, "'Weapons offline?!" Why are my-?"

Soon, both doctors realize, "YOU SABOTAGE ME?!"

Knuckles rolls his eyes in response.

Meanwhile… Dr. Light and the four heroes are trying to get to the Chaos Emeralds.

Dr. Light says, "It's no good, there's no way I can stop it from here even if you removed the Chaos Emeralds. The Genesis Dynamo is charged and in the process of ACTIVATING."

"Don't sweat it doc we can still use the emeralds. Yo, Rock, Juni - give us a lift," Sonic says.

Back to the robot…

Knuckles is punching his way through.

Eggman angrily says to Wily, "...You fault! Now I've got to undo all my brilliant sabotaging so we'll both survive this! Exchange relay B and C. That will stop confusion in the 'Battle' and 'Chase' programs.""

"My fault?" Wily says, angrily, "If you weren't so crazy, I wouldn't need to resort to sabotage OR last second repairs you need to take the circuit board mark 'M.B.M.' and put it in Slot 1. The other board is just a dummy."

"You devious little…" Eggman says.

"Loan me one of your lackey bots!" Wily says.

But Eggman says, "I'm not sharing any of my stuff with you anymore!"

Proto Man then blasts the Machine from behind.

Eggman cries out, "Reboot! Reboot! REBOOT!"

"Keep us steady! I've almost got us back online!" Willy says.

Proto Man reaches to Knuckles, "Any progress!"

"One more solid hit, and I'll crack it open then you let 'em have it!" Knuckles answers.

Eggman panics, "Any day now, Al!"

"SHUT UP!" Wily screams, "Full system restore- NOW!"

And soon, the machine of Dr. Eggman and Wily begin to glow and it repairs itself.

"NO! We were so close!" Proto Man says, shocked.

"I should've LET them steal the Master Emeralds for once I could've used its power to neutralize theirs…" Knuckles says, frustrated.

Eggman laughs, "AHHH! AHH-HA-HA! Self-repair system running at a 251%"

Then Wily laughs, "HHHHA-Ha-AHAH-Ha Ha! We're going to win!"

"HAAAA! I'm going to kill you, you traitor!" Eggman says.

Wily then says, "HA-AhAH-Ha-HA! Not if I get you first you, psycho!"

"Truce until this is done?" Eggman asks.

"I guess I have to… truce," Wily agrees.

Meanwhile, Sonic, Eve, Mega Man, and Mega Woman are able to reach the Chaos Emerald and channel their power.

Wily laughs, ""HAH! checkmate!

"Soon it'll be time to play around it our brand new universes!" Eggman says.

And prepares to fire at Knuckles and Proto Man, "But you won't live to see it!"

Suddenly, four beams of gold glowing like strike at them.

"Thanks for the cover, guys. Get Dr. Light out of here. We'll handle the rest," Sonic says.

"Find Duo and tell them to fall," Mega Woman says.

Then Mega Man says, "I'll admit it, guys. This IS Coller."

"Glad to know you both are able to channel into the emeralds' power," Eve adds.

Eggman and Wily are shocked to see this.

"S-Super forms… They're all in super forms…" Eggman says, shocked.

Wily cries out, "THAT'S NOT FAIR!" pulling his air.

Eggman screams in rage, "FIRE EVERYTHING! LAUNCH ALL!"

Eggman and Wily begin to fire their weapons at the four Super formed heroes.

Sonic flies away from the robots, "Yo Super Mega Man! Don't be afraid to be a little reckless - you're pretty much invulnerable now! That said - mind clearing the way? These bombs are cramping my style."

Wily cries out, "Keep firing! He's still coming!"

"Sure thing, Super Sonic! Shield your eyes!" Mega Man says, and fires his blaster.

"Evasive maneuvers!" Eggman cries out.

Then Eve spin dashes the robot from behind.

"Thanks, guys! You're a natural," Eve says, "Let's make this quick I don't like the looks of those-""

"AHH! SHOOT SOMETHING AT THEM, FOOL!" Wily cries out.

Then they fire at Sonic and Eve. then Mega Woman comes and gives them a hard punch in the jaw.

Dr. Light notices, "Brace yourselves everyone, the Super Genesis Wave activated!"

"Hang on! I'm closing the distance!" Mega Man says.

"No! Sonic and I will keep them distracted!" Eve says.

"But they just shot you point-blank with-!" Mega Woman says.

Then Sonic says, "Practically invulnerable, remember? You handled shields!"

"Super shield is holding - BARELY!" Wily cries out.

"Oh, we can handle it!" Mega Woman says.

Then Mega Man shouts, "INCOMING!"

And with that, both robots fire at the machine.

Eggman cries out, "AHH! I HATE THOSE ROBOTS!"

Sonic and Eve spin dash at the robot.

"System overloaded! Do something about those hedgehogs, you lazy-!" Wily cries out.

"YOUR nemeses shot a sun at us! You do something about him for once in your life, you-!" Eggman angrily says.

"This is fun and all, but we need to wrap this up," Sonic says.

"The Genesis Wave is rewriting everything RIGHT NOW, " Eve says.

"And I'm not cracking that armor," Sonic adds.

Then turns to the others, "Any ideas?

"Well, our 'Spin dash shot' stopped the Roboticized Masters, so…" Mega Man says.

Mega Woman says, "How about we combine them…"

Hearing it, Eggman angrily says, "Oh, don't you DARE…!"

Wily panics, "AHHH! Abandon ship! Eject! Eject!"

Both Mega Man and Mega Woman charge up their spin dash shot into Sonic and Eve. And with that, both of them fire the attack and Sonic and Eve spin dash at top speed. And strikes at the doctors' robot with full force that it explodes into pieces.

"And that's how you get it done!" Sonic says.

"Aw, yeah!" Mega Man cheers.

"We did it!" Mega Woman says.

"Alright!" Eve says.

Then Mega Man asks, "So… so what do we do about THAT? It looks like the Super Genesis Wave is finished."

"We're… we're too late…" Mega Woman says.

But then Eve says, "Nothings a little Chaos Control can't fix."

"'Chaos Control'?" Mega Man and Mega Woman question

Sonic then explains, "It's a technique for controlling the Chaos Energy. The same stuff the docs use to make their wave thingy, the same juice we used to transform, is what we're going to channel and WILL things back to normal."

"That's it? It's that easy?" Mega Man asks.

"It can't be that easy," Mega Woman says.

"Actually, it's not as easy as it looks," Eve says.

Then Sonic says, "You've got to be totally focused on it, or things can mess up. So FOCUS build the energy… wave just accomplished then."

Soon, all four begin to do just that.

"I can feel it!" Mega Woman says.

Then Mega Man says, "The energy, it has purpose… everything is going! "

"Tol'ja now lose your focus, aim the energy at your reality," Sonic says.

"And with that, everything will return to normal," Eve says.

Mega Woman turns to Sonic and Eve, "I guess this is it. We'll fix everything, but… we won't be able to remember this…"

"Yes. It's kind of what's meant to be," Eve says.

"Yeah. We'll miss you guys. We had an awesome adventure," Sonic says.

"And we'll miss you," Mega Man says.

"And thanks for helping us," Mega Woman says.

"Thank you, Sonic," Mega Man says.

"Thank you, Eve," Mega Woman says.

Thank you, and good luck," Mega Man says.

And with that, both Mega Man and Mega woman fire their Chaos Control, "CHAOS CONTROL!"

And soon, the Genesis Wave is working for Mega Man and Mega Woman's world.

"It's working!" Mega Woman says.

"It is," Mega Man says, "Dr. Light…"

"Roll…" Mega Woman says.

Then they both say, "We're coming home!"

And soon, Mega Man and Mega Woman return to their reality.

Eve turns to Sonic, "Guess it's our turn."

"Yeah. Let's fix this," Sonic says.

"Right, but something tells me that we still got work to do when we get our world back to normal," Eve says.

"Yeah," Sonic says.

Both hedgehogs channel their power and shout, "CHAOS CONTROL!"

And with that the Genesis Wave begins to change Sonic and Eve's world back to its original state. To the moment of the mission at the Northern Tundra.
