Pikachu looked at Ash, where he's looked up at the cloudy sky.
"I'm glad that we meet back then." Ash looked at pikachu with showing a really genuine happy face, "You are not only my first starter, but you also the first pokemon i got that start everything that we have been through from start of our journey until now."
Ash then pulled out all the picture that he took from all his journeys, the picture of him and all of his companion.
"We have met so many kind of people, and looking back at it made me missed those days."
True to his word, he remembers all kind of adventure he had to go through in his journeys, friends, rivals, and all kind of people he met made Ash has one thing that made his journeys enjoyable.
A purpose.
His purpose is to become a pokemon Master by becoming a champion, not only become one of the region champion, but also a world champion as well.
He finally become the Alola Champion and also the world Monarch so right now, he doesn't know what to do.
"Ash!"
A sound that both Pikachu and Ash recognize back in Kalos, it cimes from above.
As both trainer and pokemon looked up to the sky, they saw a green and black legendary pokemon they saw back in Kalos which is Zygarde and the smaller form of it that they called squishy.
But what caught the attention more to Pikachu and Ash is the pokemon that is beside Squishy and on top of Zygarde.
When both Pikachu and Ash finally get a clear sight, their eyes widened when they finally see what pokemon is with them.
It was his Greninja.
"No way!? Greninja!"
"Pika-Pika!"
When Greninja hop off and land on the ground gracefully, Ash and Pikachu rush towards greninja and gave greninja a good hug after being able to reunite again.
"It's been a while Greninja, what are you three doing here in Kanto now?"
"Ash, we came here to bring back greninja to you."
Hearing that, Ash and Pikachu looked at Greninja in shock.
"Wait, does that mean you finally take care of those roots back in Kalos?!"
Zygarde give a nod to ash, "Yes Ash, Greninja Job has officially finished and we decide to bring him back to the owner and that is you, Ash."
Ash and Pikachu eyes sparkle, "This is great! Welcome back Greninja!"
Zygarde start to fly away, "Now that we already fulfill our task, we will back to Kalos, until we meet again Ash ketchum!"
"Goodbye Zygarde, Squishy!"
"Pikachu!"
After the kalos legendarry pokemon is out of sight, he turns to Greninja, while pull out an empty blue and red pokeball, that is a great ball, "Welcome back greninja, because back then i left you back in kalos due to your duty destroying those roots, it means i officially release you back then."
Ash then show greninja a great ball in front of him, "And this great ball resemble us with the color of blue and red so let's do this like before!"
"Ninja!" Greninja give an affirmative nod.
Greninja fistbump with Ash great ball and get inside it. After the ball shake three times and starry effects came out of the pokeball, Ash finally caught his long lost Greninja.
"Welcome home, greninja."
A Few Hours Later
"Mom, i'm home!"
"Welcome back, Ash! Dinner almost ready."
Delia, the mother of Ash Ketchum, is preparing dinner at the table with Mr mime.
"Okay mom! Oh yeah i almost forgot."
Ash pull out the great ball and let out Greninja.
"Mom, i bring greninja with us today for dinner."
"Greninja!"
"Oh? This is your greninja back in Kalos am i right?"
Ash, pikachu, and greninja give an unison nod.
"Ninja."
"Pika."
"That's right mom! He come back after he finished his duty to destroy those roots back in Kalos."
Delia beamed, "That's great news Ash! Nice to meet you greninja, i am Ash's mom, it's nice to meet one of Ash's pokemon."
"Ninja!" Greninja replied with a happy expressions.
"Let's have a dinner now!"
Ash sat on the table with his mom and mr mime while Pikachu and greninja sat in the floor after they were given pokemon foods by mr Mime.
"Thank you for the meal!"
Everyone began to eat their respective foods, enjoying every moments of it.
After a few minutes passed, Delia decide to have a conversation with Ash.
"Ash, do you have some plan for the future?"
After Ash swallowed his food, he slowly replied, "I don't have a plan for now Mom. After every adventure i've been through, i don't know what else to do now that i already become the world monarch."
"Is that so? Well i guess you're in luck."
Delia pulled out a letter from her pocket and give it to Ash.
"What is this, mom?"
Delia give a smile while explain, "That is an invitation letter to the Indigo Academy, Ash. I decide to register you to one of the academy in Kanto to give you a different kind of experience. And luckily the academy accepted you with ease."
Ash read the letter and saw that he indeed got accepted in the academy and he felt happy about it.
"Thanks mom! You're the best!"
Ash looked further to see more information, "So the school starts in 2 days."
"You need to get ready to pack your clothes Ash, because you will have to sleep in a dorm there, and also after you left to professor Oak's place, we got your school uniform inside your bedroom."
"That's great!"
Ash looked at Pikachu and Greninja, who is also listening to the conversation.
"Pikachu, greninja, care for another adventure?"
Both pokemon gave a cry of agreement.
With that confirmation, Ash, Pikachu, and Greninja have a new adventure waiting for them.

I know Ash wasn't supposed to appeared in horizon, although i wanna make the fanfic of it so here it is.
Also if you guys asking if team rocket trio gonna show up in this fanfic, i'm thinking of not bringing them here but i will consider on add them in this fanfic at one point.
Anyway, do you guys enjoy pokemon horizon story so far? For me, i loved every moment in horizon and i'm happy for it
