So The Ghost and Molly Mcgee ended today and wow
I was not expecting that emotional gut punch of an ending with Scratch living his best life with apparently no memory of his 'afterlife'
Or who knows maybe he remembers subconsciously and the memories will come back to him when he comes back to Brighton

Hope Enhappified
Molly Mcgee sat in her room looking towards Scratchs old house with a small smile it felt like yesterday that she and her family had first moved to Brighton and their forever home
The day she met her best friend in this world and the next Scratch the day he cursed her to always be with her
Molly knew he was trying to scare her to get her out of his house and out of his 'afterlife' but from the moment she saw Scratch Molly knew that deep down he was just like her
Someone sad who'd spent too much time alone without any friends
Now he was off seeing the world living the life he didn't know hadn't ended as Todd having seemed to forget her
But she saw it at the end at the bus stop
He said sweet baby corn her catchphrase he'd make fun of with Libby
'I told you it would catch on buddy' Molly thought with a small laugh while she pet Ghost Shark behind his fin in the place that he liked
He than said his days were going to be enhappified because he was going on his trip and before he got on the bus he called her Mol
His memories were still there all his time as her grumpy taco eating best friend were still there all the good times they shared everything they've done to enhappify Brighton and the Ghost world were still there buried under the surface
All the good times and bad all the special moments and ordinary lazy days just hanging out under the sun they were still there
And they'd come back one day Scratch would really remember everything
Maybe today maybe tomorrow maybe a month from now maybe whenever he came back to Brighton or maybe they'd only come back when he really died and came back as a ghost
Molly knew he'd never really forget her and she'd never forget him
She didn't have any proof but she didn't need it she had something much more powerful than proof more powerful even than joy no Molly Mcgee had the most powerful thing in the universe
She had hope
"It's you and me buddy for all eternity" Molly said looking out at the midwestern night sky and all the shining stars
There was a blue star that Molly had never seen before
Man she must be really tired because that star looked like it was getting closer but that couldn't be stars didn't get closer they were millions and millions of light years away
The only way it could be getting closer would be if it was a meterorite coming straight towards her
Molly looked away and when she looked back she was sure the star was going to be in the exact same spot and it wouldn't be getting closer
Turning her head back towards the window the star was heading right towards her
"Oh sweet baby corn a meteor" Molly shouted "I'm not ready to be an actual ghost yet"
She needed to act fast she needed to warn mom dad and Darryl before it was too late but she couldn't move she was frozen in place by fear she couldn't get her gosh darn legs to move
Molly closed her eyes waiting for the end to come
She waited
And waited
She waited some more
Was she a ghost yet and didn't know it
She didn't feel like a ghost
Molly opened her eyes what she thought was a meteor was actually a ring a glowing blue ring with a symbol of a lantern on it
"A ring" she asked a loud
Molly didn't know what but there was something about the ring calling to her to put the ring on her finger that it was her ring
"Molly Mcgee of Earth you have an unprecedented ability to bring hope happiness and joy to those around you" the ring said "welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps"
Molly slowly reached out her hand the ring floating onto her finger
This turned out a lot longer than I thought it was going to be
I just wanted to sit down and write about Molly after seeing the finale earlier today
The Green Lantern are probably my favorite characters in DC comics and I like them and the other corps imagining what corps would a character fit in the best
And for Molly Mcgee I feel like the blue lantern corps would fit with her the best
