Kanto, this is one of the great regions of the world, but why one of the great ones? Countless legendary trainers emerged here, Masters of the Pokemon species that would revolutionize the world in various ways… But that was a story for another time.

Now, the region of Kanto was engulfed in a great and intense war. The war ravaging the Kanto region was not just a battle between Pokémon, but also a conflict between trainers and their ambitions. Chaos had taken hold, and many once-prosperous cities were now in ruins. The reason for this war was unknown to many, but rumors circulated about territorial disputes and the quest for control over the legendary Pokémon inhabiting the region.

The battlefield was shrouded in an aura of tension, with elemental impacts echoing everywhere. Lightning cut through the sky, flames danced around, water formed whirlpools, and winds blew fiercely.

In the midst of the battlefield, which would later be known as Victory Road.

Observing the intense battle between two Pokémon, two foreign Pokémon from the region that they were in but equally powerful.

Both easily recognizable, one of them in particular easily known as the Pokémon that brought nightmares to both humans and Pokémon, the legendary Pokémon Darkrai.

And the one exchanging blows with such Pokémon was none other than the one known as a cunning fox that brought illusions to its prey, a Zoroark.

Darkrai and Zoroark, the two Pokémon unleashing dark and illusory powers that created a stunning and terrifying visual spectacle.

Around the battlefield, the Pokémon trainers watched with fierce looks as they tried to coordinate strategies to ensure their Pokémon's victory.

As the battle unfolded, the trainer with grayish-blue hair struggled to maintain control over Darkrai, a Pokémon known for its powers related to nightmares and darkness. Her bond with Darkrai was complicated, but she believed that the dark Pokémon was essential to combat the enemy forces.

The brown-haired man, on the other hand, trained Zoroark, a master of illusions that could create images so realistic that even experienced trainers were deceived. He relied on Zoroark's cunning and agility to overcome the challenges that arose during the war.

While subordinates on both sides fought side by side with their Pokémon in the midst of the battlefield, a deafening roar echoed through the battlefield.

The battle between Darkrai and Zoroark had reached a critical point, and both Pokémon disappeared in an explosion of dark energy and illusions. The resulting shock created a ripple that pushed away other Pokémon and trainers around, creating a brief pause in the conflict.

As the dust settled, the two men looked for signs of their Pokémon. Slowly, Darkrai and Zoroark emerged from the chaos, visibly exhausted but still determined to continue the fight. The battle would go on…

"You'll never understand…" The brown-haired man murmured, his eyes fixed on his opponent. "TOBIAS!!! EVEN IF YOU WIN, IT WON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!" He shouted in the midst of the battlefield, his voice echoing like thunder among the Pokémon facing each other.

The man now known as Tobias raised his head, a smug smile playing on his lips. "How about it, Giovanni? You and everyone on your side are nothing but fools. Even if Arceus's prophecy comes true, it won't change anything. There's a place where not even the Gods are busy, and that's the place of winners, where I will occupy. And at this moment, my only obstacle is you, Giovanni!"

"No way then…" Giovanni lamented, his shoulders burdened with the weight of the impending battle.

"Darkrai, use it now…" Tobias ordered, reaching out his hand towards his powerful Pokémon.

"Zoroark, finish this…" Giovanni spoke to his loyal partner, whose eyes burned with determination.

" SHADOW BALL!" Both trainers shouted in unison, with their respective Pokémon responding to the call.

The dark spheres formed, emanating intense energy as the two powerful Pokémon unleashed their attacks.

"ZORRRRR!" roared Zoroark, shooting the dark sphere towards Darkrai.

In response, Darkrai formed its own dark sphere with its hands, directing it relentlessly towards its opponent. "Darkkkk!" echoed its dark voice.

Both attacks collided, generating a shockwave that reverberated across the battlefield, leaving in the air the imminent tension of the clash between two powerful trainers and their Pokémon.

Meanwhile, the skies opened up, revealing a small, pink figure that emerged like a raindrop in the midst of the gray sky. It was a creature known to few, with few records, but at that moment, its presence did not go unnoticed. It was Mew.

As if a silent judge before the unfolding chaos on the battlefield, Mew observed with its small eyes the consequences of the human fight. Humans and Pokémon… Dead.

"Ewww!" Its squeak, inaudible in the sky, sent shivers down the spines of all present, humans and Pokémon alike.

Then, in the midst of chaos, Mew directed its judgmental gaze towards the sky. The gray clouds began to swirl like a whirlwind, and suddenly, a meteor shower illuminated the battlefield.

Tobias and Giovanni, surprised, looked up at the floating creature.

Quickly, Tobias shouted, "DARKRAI, RETURN!" seeking protection from the Pokémon.

"ZOROARK, RETREAT!!!" Giovanni shouted.

Meanwhile, Zoroark remained motionless, as if hypnotized by Mew's presence. Giovanni, in despair, ran to his Pokémon, ordering it to return, but Zoroark remained in place.

The countless meteors began to fall, illuminating the battlefield with their imminent destruction. The deafening sound of impacts echoed, and each explosion was an echo of the judgment that Mew seemed to bring with it. Chaos ensued, and the cataclysm unleashed by the meteors consumed the battlefield, transforming the landscape into a vision of destruction.

Giovanni, desperately running towards his Pokémon about to be hit by one of them.

Zoroark at the last moment snapped back to its own reality and looked at its insightful trainer; if it didn't move, the meteor would collide with him even as he ran. Despite being exhausted from the intense battle, the agile Pokémon jumped above Giovanni, acting as a protective shield against the meteor threatening to consume them.

"ZORRRRRRR!" The roar of pain from the Pokémon was unstoppable; the meteor exploded over the fox's body, causing Giovanni to fall to the ground.

The light from the impact revealed the silhouette of Zoroark sacrificing itself to save its trainer. Giovanni watched helplessly as Zoroark, the loyal companion, disappeared amidst the destruction.

Tobias, on the other hand, was protected by Darkrai, looking directly at Mew with a shocked look. "This… this is divine punishment!?" he murmured to himself.

The meteor shower continued, but now, instead of just destruction, a sense of judgment hung in the air. It was as if Mew, witnessing the tragedy and sacrifice, was deciding the fate of the war and its participants.

The remaining trainers around the battlefield began to comprehend the magnitude of the moment. The disputes and ambitions that had triggered the war now seemed trivial in the face of loss and possible divine intervention; only that meteor shower claimed the lives of various humans and Pokémon without mercy.

Giovanni, slowly rising from the ground, looked up at the sky. His eyes met Tobias's, and for a brief moment, a silent understanding passed between them. Both had lost something valuable on that battlefield.

Mew, after a long moment of contemplation, descended from the sky like a leaf gently floating. It landed in front of Giovanni, its eyes fixed on the trainer. The legendary creature seemed to convey a message without words, a silent warning about the consequences of their actions.

Giovanni, still affected by the loss of Zoroark, spoke with a broken voice, "What are we going to do now? What has Kanto become?"

The intense glow of Mew intensified, bathing the battlefield in dazzling light.

Tobias, still fascinated by the majestic figure of Mew, felt a divine energy coursing through his body, awakening an insatiable thirst for power. His eyes glowed with unbridled greed as he imagined the grand feats he could achieve with Mew's powers.

Meanwhile, Giovanni, though still powerless, kept his gaze fixed on the legendary Pokémon. His eyes reflected a mix of anger and frustration, questioning the reason for Mew's intervention in human affairs.

"Why?" Giovanni repeated, his voice echoing in the emptiness as he tried to understand the logic behind Mew's action.

Mew, surrounded by a divine aura, continued to emanate an indescribable presence. Its penetrating eyes observed both Tobias and Giovanni, as if judging every thought and intention. The silence hanging in the air was broken only by the distant resounding of the battle now paused.

Then, in an instant, Mew rose into the air, floating above the ground, its small form contrasting with the vastness of the power it radiated. The glow around Mew intensified even more, turning the field into a celestial spectacle.

Suddenly, an ethereal voice echoed in the minds of all present. It was not an audible voice but a direct communication, a message transmitted beyond words. It was as if Mew were whispering into the soul of each being.

"Humanity, creatures of the Earth, you who war and vie for power among yourselves. I, Mew, witness your acts and your impure hearts. I interrupt your battles for a moment to remind you of the fragile balance that encompasses all existence."

The field was now immersed in a transcendental aura, and the hearts of Tobias and Giovanni squeezed in the presence of Mew's divinity. The words of the legendary Pokémon resonated like a sentence, revealing the cruel side of the deity that considered human actions inferior and trivial.

Giovanni, overcome by anger, dared to challenge Mew again, "Who are you to judge us? We, humans, decide our destiny!"

Mew, with eyes that transcended human understanding, simply floated silently, as if its presence were a sufficient answer. The divine light surrounding Mew began to dissipate slowly, leaving behind an atmosphere charged with reflection and a transformed battlefield, where the figures of Tobias and Giovanni remained, now confronted with the consequences of their ambitions and actions.

This place was a turning point for the events that would follow, the presence of such a Pokémon changed the fate of many on that battlefield. The final outcome of this war is uncertain, only that it was abruptly concluded, and then the world moved on.

As for Tobias and Giovanni? No one knows what happened to them afterward, except themselves. But a seed of doubt lingered in the eyes of yet another creature that hid and observed these events.

Much like a fairy, it was green, a Pokémon known as Celebi.

Celebi, the small green creature, silently watched the events unfolding before its eyes. Its heart, connected to the balance of nature and the flow of time, felt the waves of change emanating from the battlefield.

As Mew gradually disappeared from the scene, Celebi felt a deep responsibility. With a blink of an eye, the aura of the time Pokémon began to envelop it, and it started to fly in circles, creating a greenish glow around it.

Suddenly, a time portal opened before Celebi, as if the leaves of the trees parted to reveal a secret passage. Without hesitation, Celebi flew into the portal, disappearing instantly.

(???)

Upon emerging on the other side, Celebi found itself in a distant future of Kanto. The landscapes were different, the cities were rebuilt, and wild Pokémon roamed freely. Celebi knew that to understand the present and shape the future, it needed to understand the roots of the conflicts plaguing the region.

The time guardian Pokémon floated silently over Kanto, witnessing events that would trigger the challenges that would come. It saw legendary trainers emerging, powerful Pokémon being discovered, and the seeds of conflict being sown. Celebi was on a mission to understand the natural balance of the region and perhaps find ways to prevent future wars.

So the Pokémon decided to get involved with humans…
