Chapter 2: "Invasion."
The twelve heroes along with their friends and family were both fascinated by their new enemies and worried for the safety of the people. Mario, Luigi and Yoshi ran out of Peach's Castle and saw Master Hand's Polygon Soldiers attacking the Toads and destroying the town. The two plumbers and the dinosaur weren't going to let that happen so they ran out to help them.
"Hey-a you!" Shouted the red-clad plumber as he punched a soldier in the face with his fist on fire, saving a Toad from being crushed, Mario turned to the Toad, "Are you okay?" The mushroom person nodded and thanked Mario, "Good, now get to-a safety!" He said, and the Toad did so.
Luigi was fighting the soldiers off well, but he couldn't get the million-dollar question out of his head, "Mario, what are these-a things?" He asked.
His brother didn't have an answer, "I don't-a know Luigi." Said Mario, "But we can't-a let-a them attack-a the village like-a this."
"Raurr (You got that right, Mario!)" Yoshi chirped as he swung a soldier around with his tongue, hitting surrounding soldiers.
Just then, many other soldiers were pelted by turnips, "Yooo!" Said a feminine voice. The plumbers turned to see a woman with brown hair and blue eyes wearing an orange dress and shoes with flower earrings, standing next to Peach. This was Daisy, princess of Sarasaland and Luigi's girlfriend.
"Daisy!" Said Luigi, "What are-a you doing here?"
The tomboy princess smirked, "Peach told me that the Mushroom Kingdom was being attacked and I just thought I'd lend a hand." Mario and Luigi smiled.
"Well thanks, we could really use the help." Said Mario and the five all fought the soldiers.
Meanwhile the Kongs battled the Polygon soldiers as a team, Donkey Kong delivered several Giant Punches to surrounding soldiers, Diddy shot multiple soldiers with his peanut popguns, Funky did some sick tricks and took out some of the enemies, even Dixie, Cranky and Candy got in on the action in their own ways.
"Who are these guys?!" Asked Diddy.
"I don't know but we can't let them destroy the island." Donkey Kong said and his family nodded and continued fighting.
The Hylians were at least doing a little better in combat, as Link and Zelda had been holding their own against the Polygon minions, with Link using the Master Sword and Zelda using her magic. They also had a little help from the castle guards, who weren't doing as well.
"Zelda," Said Link, "What are these creatures?!"
The princess of Hyrule was at a loss for words, "I-I don't know, I've never seen these beasts before." That was really saying something when the smart and wise princess of Hyrule had no clue what she and her best friend were up against, "It's not even Ganon's dark magic!" She concluded.
"Now that's a shock." Link commented, "But I think we can still take them." Zelda nodded and they kept on fighting.
Back with the intergalactic bounty hunter, Samus was doing everything she could to defend the inhabitants of the planet she was on from the Polygon army by firing several blasts and missiles from her arm cannon. Yet she was still unsure about what she was dealing with.
"What the heck are these things, I've never seen anything like them before, ugh it doesn't matter, I'll send these creeps back to where they came from." She thought as she swung a soldier caught in her electro-whip like a mace at the other surrounding soldiers, giving it everything she's got.
Back on Planet Popstar, the Star Warriors were doing their best to protect the populous of Dreamland from the Master Hand's footsoldiers. Kirby rammed through several of the minions on the Warp Star while Meta Knight swooped in and sliced several of them to pieces with Galaxia. Their other allies showed up to help out.
One being a Waddle Dee wearing a blue bandana and carrying a spear, named Bandana Dee. The other being what appeared to be an overweight blue and yellow penguin dressed in red carrying a hammer, his name was King Dedede the self-made king of Dreamland and Kirby's royal rival turned friend. Bandana Dee struck several soldiers with his spear while Dedede smacked them away with his rocket-hammer.
Kirby flew to Dedede and Bandana Dee, "Kirby, what do you think these things are supposed to be?" Bandana Dee asked.
Kirby shrugged, "I don't know," he answered as he fought off some more soldiers, "All I know is that these things came out of a portal and started attacking us!"
Meta Knight flew in and struck more soldiers down, and Dedede kept on swinging, "Who really cares, let's just take them out!" He said, and they fought them off together.
Meanwhile at the Cornerian Defense Force Base, Team Star Fox was giving it everything they had to take the Polygon soldiers down. Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy were all firing at will with their blasters and also proved themselves capable in melee combat.
Fox decided to ask the big question, "Ugh, what are these things?!"
Unfortunately, no one had an answer, "Not a clue, Fox." Said Peppy as he kept fighting, despite his old age, "I've never seen these creatures before in my life!"
Falco didn't really care, "Who cares, less talking, more fighting!" And the ace pilot kept shooting.
"You really need to learn to not shoot first and ask questions later!" Said a feminine British voice and suddenly a yellow spear with a blue gemstone inside of its blade hit a soldier in the face. The spear was picked up by an anthropomorphic blue fox with blue eyes matching her fur wearing a black and purple skin-tight outfit.
"Krystal!" Said Fox, happy to see his girlfriend and Team Star Fox's fifth pilot.
"Fox I'd love to catch up with you," she said while still fending off the soldiers, "But we have a big problem!" Fox nodded and continued fighting alongside his friends.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail! Jigglypuff, use Echoed Voice!" Shouted Red and the two Pokémon did so. Pikachu's tail glowed bright and he struck three soldiers with his glowing tail and it destroyed them as if his tail was made of, well iron. Jigglypuff pulled out a microphone from nowhere and sang a very high pitched note, causing the surrounding soldiers to explode, thankfully Red and Pikachu covered their ears so they didn't get harmed.
Red thought that the two wouldn't be enough, so he sent out six of his other Pokémon to help out. One being an orange dragon with fire on the top of its tail called Charizard, another being a blue tortoise with two water cannons inside of its brown shell called Blastoise. Another appeared to be a frog-like creature with a flower on its back called Venusaur, one of the others appeared to be a purple cat-like creature with a tiny split in its tail called Espeon. Another looked like a blue plesiosaur with a gray shell called Lapras, and last but not least was a dark blue bear-like Pokémon with a somewhat tired look on its face called Snorlax.
Once they were all out of their Pokéballs, Red gave them attack plans, "Alright, Charizard, use Flare Blitz!" He said, "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump! Lapras, use Frost Breath! Snorlax, use Hyper Beam! Venusaur, use Solar Beam! And finally, Espeon, use Shadow Ball!" Red then turned to Pikachu and Jigglypuff, "As for Pikachu and Jigglypuff, use Thunderbolt and Hyper Voice!" The eight Pokémon nodded to their trainer and used those moves.
Red then pulled out the Pokédex and had it scan the soldiers, "Who are those Pokémon anyway?" He asked.
Unfortunately, even the Pokédex wasn't able to answer that question, instead it showed a screen saying "Error! Not a Pokémon!"
This truly shocked the trainer, "WHAT?!" He questioned, "How is that possible?!" He then shook it off and returned his focus to the battle, "EVERYONE, IT'S TIME TO GO ALL OUT!" He called to the eight Pokémon, who all nodded to their trainer and used whatever moves were necessary to get these invaders off their planet.
"PK Flash!" Shouted Ness as he and his friends were defending Onett from the soldiers. Ness' PK Flash was able to atomize a lot of the soldiers surrounding him, while Paula smacked many soldiers with her frying pan and combined it with her PK Fire for an extra boost. Jeff kept firing bottle rockets to blow some adversaries to kingdom come while Poo dropped a PK Starstorm on them.
"Ugh, guys what are these things?!" Asked Jeff.
"I'm not sure," said Ness as he fended off more minions, "I've never seen anything like them before!"
Then Paula tried to read their minds while looking at their power output, "Guys, these things' power it's unlike anything we've faced before!" She said, "So be careful but strike hard!" The boys nodded to their friend and kept on fighting with everything they had, whether it be PSI, their weapons, or their physical attacks.
Back in Port Town, Captain Falcon was doing his best to defend the world he lived on from the Polygon army, especially in his F-Zero machine, the Blue Falcon. He had run several soldiers over and used the Blue Falcon's Boost Fire technique where it spun around like a buzzsaw with the power of the Reactor Might at its core and sliced through a massive amount of Polygon soldiers. He then got out of his vehicle and ran up to the military who were helping in defending the city.
"Captain." Said one of the officers, "Boy are we glad you're here."
"Don't worry," the Captain said, "I'm here to help."
"Captain, do you know what these things are?" Asked another officer.
Captain Falcon looked over at the Polygon soldiers and couldn't answer the question properly, "I don't," he said, "But I'm not about to just stand around and let them do this!" He then turned back to the officers, "And I need half of you to evacuate civilians while the other half focuses on taking out these invaders!" The military commander nodded at the F-Zero champion and told his men to do exactly as instructed.
The military commander then looked at Captain Falcon, "Good luck out there, Captain." The Captain nodded and went out to hold off the invaders.
However, something the heroes all failed to notice was that the portals that brought the Polygon soldiers to each of their worlds was about to reverse itself.
And it did, causing not only the soldiers, but also Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Luigi, Ness, Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff to get sucked in while screaming, much to the alarm of their friends and family.
"Mario!/Luigi!/Yoshi!"
"DK!"
"Link!"
"Kirby!"
"Fox!"
"Pikachu!/Jigglypuff!"
"Ness!"
The twelve heroes were all transported to the Master Hand's dimension and little did they know, they were in for an interesting adventure to say the least and were about to meet some new people to call friends.
