Post-Coronation
The fly back to Rowsdower was, somber to say the least. But they were alive and that was all they needed. Siccario was regrouping after the fight over the ruins of Presidia. Comic and Diplomat made it back first as they disengaged from the fight once Crimson began to hit them hard.
When they saw Monarch and Prez's plane starting to land. The two of them plus Kaiser, and Galaxy, quickly made their way to the place where the ruined Tomcat that was covered in ashes and had more than a few holes in it, eventually they taxied over to where Prez kept her plane, a slightly modified SK. 25U that had a better engine and could carry a wider range of weaponry. One example of that were the pair of railguns she 'acquired' during an earlier contract a few years ago. The only reason why she isn't flying is because of the amount of risky things she did while flying and also there not being enough people in Sicario that would be able to fly with her.
But with the condition of the jet it was obvious that their fight was far from easy.
"Diplomat, go get the medics." Kaiser ordered. With a curt salute Diplomat was off running to the medics on base.
While that was happening the ground crew on base was hard at work helping get the Tomcat shut down. While that was happening Monarch was helping Prez get out of her seat. She woke up about an hour after Crimson-1 was shot down. But she still wasn't fully lucid, and she still took a beating given the condition the Tomcat was in and how hard Monarch had to fly.
Comic then spoke up, "You two show Crimson what happens when you deal with a King and his darling queen." She spoke in a joking tone to the two.
Comic always joked about how the two loved each other but wouldn't admit it. However all she got in return apart from a slightly blushing Prez was a middle finger.
Soon enough the medics arrived and took Prez away for some treatment. While they were there they also quickly checked Monarch but apart from a few bruises and scratches and a slightly broken helmet showing his blue eyes he was fine.
Soon Kaiser brought Monarch to the debriefing room since he was one of the best pilots of Siccario. There they met with the contact to Cascadia, Stardust was his callsign and so they began the debrief.
Now Monarch isn't a complete mute, though even outside of combat he is still quiet and generally short with his words. And throughout the debrief he one spoke when need be.
Soon enough the end of the meeting came with Stardust begging to say something, "Now Cascadia owes Siccario a fairly large debt for your services. Most of the other Mercs that were here have either left already or went down at some point. So think of this as a gift of sorts. As far as the Cascadian Government is concerned, Rowsdower is now Siccario's for anything they need."
With that and a small smile Stardust began walking out, "May the Dust-Mother guide you and all that. Me and my men are heading out down south to help rebuild and push the last of the Federation out."
Soon enough the small detachment of the Cascadian Airforce left the base and headed south. As for Siccario they began to repair and re-arm. Either to go and look for a new contract or simply lay low for a while.
A week later
The week had been slow for the pilots. No active missions, and a large amount of repairs to be done grounded Siccario for a while. At the current moment the Hitman squadron was sitting idle in their barracks. And with nothing better to do they found ways to do something. Galaxy was reading one of his books, Diplomat was working on one of his model kits with a decent amount of sprew around him, Monarch was taking a well deserved nap. As for Prez and Comic? They were playing poker, cause they don't have much else to do.
However as everybody was absorbing into their bubbles, Kaiser came on through the base's intercom, "This is Kaiser to all hand, we have detected or Cordium Storm approaching the base so be ready to hold out for however long it lasts. Pilots we have a few hours before the storm hits. Lock down your craft, and grab any necessary supplies and equipment."
With that the group began scrambling to get to work. And within a few minutes Dip and Mic were able to grab some MREs and other supplies. Meanwhile Galaxy, Prez and Monarch were able to hitch a ride with the other pilots to the hangers. Once they got there Monarch began putting chocks on the Tomcat's wheels. And Prez was doing the same with her SK.25U as well as double checking the railguns were disconnected correctly. After they were done with the lockdown they went to go and help Galaxy lockdown his AWCS which overall, in which they also locked Comic's Eagle and Diplomat's MG-29 down, took about 3 hours to do. As the left the hanger they saw the storms clouds coming from the south carrying the orange hue that spoke of its Cordium threat.
And they realized they had only a few short minutes to get back to the barracks. So taking one of the carts that were sitting nearby they drove quickly over to the barracks. And soon enough the storm was upon them.
At the moment they were all in thier barracks room trying to do something to distract them from the storm.
"Say Robin," asked Evelyn London, aka Comic, "With your experience being Buck's WSO maybe you won't be so damn crazy with your flying. I swear your just as bad as him."
At this Robin Kuo , aka Prez gave Evelyn a death glare before Peter Kennedy, aka Diplomat, stepped in, "Calm down you two I'd rather not be sitting through a Cordium Storm while listening to you two fighting eachother." He said in as best of a diplomatic tone as he could.
But he was told to shut it by his female colleagues, at which he looked over to Buck Villegas, or who most simple call Monarch, and called for help, "Hey Buck, you're the only one that can stop these two from tearing eachother apart."
At that Buck simple said in a firm but still quiet tone, "Calm down you too."
That immediately stopped the fighting between the two and a pair of "Fine"s to come from the two. Just as that happened Dominic Zaitsev, or Galaxy walked in.
"Alright you four from what the boss said seems like this going to be a rough storm," just as he said that less than 30 yards from the hangers struck a single orange bolt.
From there the storm only worsened. Dozens of strikes around the base every minute before suddenly there was a bright flash of orange light. And the next thing everyone saw was black.
Location: Unknown
Unofficial Designation: Hitman-4 Prez, Robin Kuo
'Oh my head, why does my head hurt?' I though to myself. After a few more seconds and letting the pain die down a little I opened my eyes to see, the hanger?
The hell?!
Why am I here and not at the Barracks with the rest of Hitman.
"Anyone there," I ask into nothingness.
I then heard Buck through what sounded like the comms in my SK ,which I just noticed that I was in, "Oh my head, where are we Robin?"
He asked, and I responded with a simple answer, "Looks like the hanger though I'm in my SK what about you?"
"Looks like I'm in my F/D-14," looking over to where he should be I don't see anyone in either Buck's or my position.
"I don't see you Buck," I said.
"I don't see you either," Buck replied.
Thinking quickly I decided to try and get out of my SK. Then I feel like my body was changing form. And then suddenly I was standing upright and standing over Buck's Tomcat.
"What the hell!" Both me and Buck yelled at the same time which was replied to with a trio of groans behind us. And looking over I saw Evelyn's Eagle, Peter's MG-29, and Dominic's AWCS
"Oh my head." Came their voices and looking into the cockpits of their planes and I didn't see them.
At this point Buck asked a big question, "What the Hell! How did you do that!" In one of his rare moment of yelling.
"I…I.I don't know all I thought was getting out of the plane! Felt my body change and then this! So hell if I know!" I yelled back, but quickly afterwards I saw Buck's Tomcat transform into a bipedal form with the wing laying flat against his back. He was slim but not as thin as paper. He also seemed to have the loadout we normally ran either on his shoulders were a pair of MLAAs and on his left forearm sat some HISMs and his right forearm was a battery of STDMs. As for his head it looked similar to his flight helmet though at the moment it was open showing a metallic replica of his face, 'why is he so hot even now' I squealed to myself.
And having a spare few seconds I looked myself down. I felt that I had my helmet on as well but had the visor up and with out the rebreather. I could feel my wings 'that feel weird to say' on my back and the loadout on there, two canister pods, and a air mine launcher. And on my arms I saw on my left arm the STDMs that are universally used and on my right was my beloved 'and not at all stolen' railguns. Though the looked like they could transform into something. As to my form well, still flat, but a decent amount of hip.
(Author here, I'm sorry about that)
Then apparently with the other three hearing me they also transformed.
Peter also looked like his MG even down to the paint scheme, which I noticed was also on me and Buck, his loadout was the same one he always ran, two MLAGs on his shoulders and a MLAA on his left forearm, and STDMs on his right. As for appearance he also had his helmet though his was slightly different since his had the armor plate thing on the forehead. And his build was a little slimer compared to Buck's so maybe the type of plane had something about how we looked.
Then there was Evelyn if she was still human she'd easily be considered a blonde bombshell. Her loadout was again the same one she generally ran a MLAA and a bunch of SAAs, and surprisingly she didn't have anything on her arms apart from the STDMs. But it looks like she has some form of gun on the small of her back. Her helmet was also slight different compared to me and Buck's hers was slightly sharper looking comparatively.
Then there is Dominic, who was fucking massive, he had his wings on his back but they looked folded away and he had the radar dish mounted to his back. His head was different as well as he didn't have a full helmet like us instead his looked to have partial headset on. He was also more broadly built compared to Buck or Peter. He wasn't completely defenseless however he looks like he has a pistol of some sort on the side of his leg. Which also noticed on everyone else's legs. The very last thing I noticed was the fact our personal emblems are on our shoulders and wings. But we also have the Wolf of Siccario painted onto our chests.
Anyway after a short bit everyone losing their shit. We eventually calmed down and compared stories. Eventually we decided to look outside what looks to be a fairly untouched forest though there was an area of scorched trees not far from where we were.
So deciding to see if we can fly with these new bodies. We transformed back into our plane forms and took off, with Galaxy activating his radar to see if he could find anything. It feels weird being like this, sure we had well over 6 thousand hours in the air combined over the years. But we never were the planes back then. So we took off into the sky trying to find something.
Autobot Outpost Omega One, near Jasper Nevada
Designation: ErrOr
Things at the autobot base were as calm as the can be with 3 kids running around and dealing with the Decpiticons.
Then Ratchet draws everyone's attention to something, "What in Primus is this."
At this anyone that could hear him (Read: Everyone but Miko and Bulkhead) stopped what they were doing and asked the medic what happened.
"What happened Ratchet," asked Optimus Prime.
"Something weird is what. I just picked up an energy spike akin to a ground or spacebridge. But it's not if that makes sense." The medic said.
Arcee then spoke up, "Where was this detected?" She asked.
At this Ratchet checked and winced slightly, "The energy spike occurred close to where you encountered Arachnid." At that Arcee froze for a second. "Now I doubt it is Arachnid, so you should be fine, however it would be smart to send two bots to see what's there and see if we can acquire what or who made it."
At this Optimus spoke up, "I'll go and Arcee you'll be joining me as you know the area." At this Arcee simply responded with a curt "Yes Sir"
Then Jack spoke up, "What about me Optimus?" He asked.
At that Arcee immediately shut him down, "Yeah, no. We don't know what's there and that could be dangerous."
After the explanation Jack groaned out a "Fine" then he went back over to his friends Miko and Rafael.
Shortly afterwards the ground bridge was activated to send Optimus and Arcee to a location close to the area where the energy spike occurred.
Aboard the Nemesis
Things aboard the Nemesis were tense as they usually were. After the recent incident of Knockout kidnapping a human that was assumed to be Bumblebee's charge, Knockout received a stern warning from Megatron. However one slip from the only Decepticon medic can be ignored. The loss of another energon mine due to Starscream's incompetence, was less forgivable.
At the moment the Warlord, Megatron was sitting on his throne in the bridge of the Nemesis. And he was unhappy, which was not rare. However soon his 3IC, Soundwave, soon approached.
"Do you have something to report Soundwave?" The warlord said through his teeth. At this the mech infront of him handed the warlord a tablet holding his report.
The Warlord inspected the data and then activated the intercoms in the Nemesis, "Starscream report to the bridge." He commanded.
A few minutes later the treacherous con sauntered onto the Bridge, "You summoned me, my lord?" Starscream said while giving a half assed bow.
At that Megatron growled, "You are to take a contingent of Aerialcons and investigate an energy spike. Your easy job is to find who or what caused it and retrieve it. Do not fail." He said while glaring at Starscream.
At this the mech flinched a little before giving an affrimitive and walking out of the bridge and to the flight deck where there was a small patrol of about 15 Aerialcons waiting on the deck.
With a single command of "To the Skies" the squadron took off in the direction of the energy signal.
Finally got this down. And if you couldn't tell, I just lost my free time to Project: Wingman.
