This is part of my what if Walking Dead story where Carl never gets bit by the walker and lives on. Rick still gets caught in the explosion but Carl had to make a promise to Michonne to take care of Judith and RJ while she goes out to find Rick.

I never expected the world to end by way of a zombie apocalypse, nor did I expect it to end while I was in Georgia on a camping trip with friends. But here is my story of the apocalypse and how I found a girl lost in the woods, promised to help her and got more than I bargained for with her group.

Mardi Gras 2026, it was supposed to be the ultimate party of the carnival season before giving it up for Lent on Ash Wednesday. In the streets of New Orleans, tourists come in like droves to experience a real good time. Fat Tuesday was the last time New Orleans partied. Those that survived to see the sunrise on Ash Wednesday awoke to nothing left but to survive the walking dead.

It should have been a simple 20 mile drive home, but trouble started when Beth made a wrong turn and found herself lost. Bad went to worse when she swerved to miss a Doe and her Fawn, and now she finds herself with her car in a ditch in the middle of nowhere.
