The First accessed the Hero internet and told all the Heroes, "As you all know, the green guy junk genes have been activated in me, and because of this, it started a Remembering of a past life as a little green guy. A Remembering is an ancestral memory, and each little green guy has a past life memory. All life memories are a song of life, and each individual life melody is added to the little green guy's clan song of life. This happened for over a million years on the green guy planet.
"Very few little green guys are left, and their songs will end when they die. They gave us the DNA enhancement from their genes, and this enhancement has not only enabled us to utilize the powers of the suits better and to become Heroes, but it has also allowed the continuation of the little green guy genes and their clan song of life through we Heroes. We wear the clan symbol on our suits, and because of the DNA enhancement, we are all a part of the clan.
"I ask each of you to listen to the clan song of life. Listening will activate a memory of a past little green guy's life; you can then add your remembered memory song to the clan song. The link to the Rememberer program to record your section of the song is below, and instructions are provided. The little green guy's race was extinct in the MIB timeline, and no memories are left of them. Please don't allow that to happen in this timeline.
"Help protect the fading echoes of a dying civilization through the power of memory. We are the last hope for preserving the legacy of an ancient race—save the memories and the clan song. This request is strictly voluntary. There is no pressure to get it done. Do it or don't; it is your decision. Thank you for listening."
Most of the Heroes listened to the clan song of life, experienced a Remembering, and entered their chant into the clan song program. It was not discussed amongst each other; the life remembered was private. A few—as Ralph and Pam had done-told their song memories to one other, but most did not.
The little green guys heard Ralph Hinkley's announcement and added their Remembering Memory songs to the recorded clan song of life. The recording of the clan song of life had never been done, even with their advanced technology. There had always been Rememberers—individuals with the unique natural abilities to add to and hold the song of life—responsible for remembering the entire clan song. When individuals died, one family member or a person present would take the deceased's memories, which were transferred to a Rememberer to add to the clan song of life. Sometimes, a Rememberer handled the memory directly if they were nearby when the death occurred. There were no more Rememberers—the last had died in the great purge on their planet.
Now, the Rememberer would be a computer program created by Ralph Hinkley and his suit. The children of Earth would maintain it, Hero songs would be added to the clan song of life, and hopefully, the new clan song would last for another million years.
The little green guys did not say anything to the Heroes about their gratitude for this precious gift of the continuation of their clan's song of life. They would thank them when the time was right and when they gave the Heroes everything to continue the clan.
