The Next Day Saturday, Nicole calls my house. She wants to go to the park to play tennis with her. It's sunny, but not warm enough to go to the lake or pool so I say yes. We meet up in the tennis courts at the park near the lake and spend the afternoon playing Tennis.

I wake up on Sunday and see Mom and Dad in the living room cuddling.

Dad: Good morning Mellie.

Me: Good morning Mom, Good morning Dad.

Dad: Did you sleep well last night?

Me: I did.

Dad: Hey I was thinking, since you like playing tennis with your friend Nicole, Maybe we can play Tennis me and you sometime?

Me: Sounds Great.

Dad: Awesome, I'll buy a tennis racket later today and we can start next weekend.

I call Ivy, to see if she wants to hang out today and she says she is planning to go to the pool and the lake with some of the kids from Art club. She invites me to tag along.

Me: Sounds great Ivy.

I go to the pool in the morning with Ivy and her friends from Art Club, who by the way are really nice and then we all walk together to the lake. On our way out from the lake, we stop by the nearby park and all the kids have drawing utensils.

Me: I didn't bring my art supplies.

A guy with a mullet comes up to me and says: Don't worry Melinda; I've got some spare pencils and paper. He then gives me those things.

Me: Thanks. You are?

Guy with Mullet: Jake, Jake Roberts.

We spend the rest of the day drawing the things around us.

It feels so nice to be making new friends and feeling like you belong.

I am so joining Art Club for sophomore year.
