Hello there! Welcome fellow sinners to the next chapter of Light Bringer Stories: The Witcher.

Hope you enjoy it has much as I had writing it and now review time.

Neo: Here you go, chief.

dragon rose 11: Happy you like it.

AbuneA55Kicker: Yeah, that was pretty much what I was going with. It just wasn't very clear in-story.

Now story time.

Morning dawned on the city of Novigrad, it's yellow light shined through the window, as it was Lucifer had awoken first, though it was more accurate to say he was in some sort of meditation to pass the time as sleep was one of the things an angel had no need for.

Though through the entire time, he felt a much smaller arm holding his body as soft breathing was heard from his chest. Peeking under the cover, he saw that Ciri was still there, still asleep after their first real night of lovemaking.

It seemed that in her sleep, she had reached over and tried to be the bigger spoon, holding him as if she wanted to protect him from the dangers of the Worlds. Letting out a chuckle, Lucifer whispered softly, "Cirilla, time to wake up."

"...Just a few more minutes." she muttered, into his shoulder hiding her smile.

"If that is what you desire, then I am happy to oblige." he said with a smile, cuddling into her as he held her in his arms, "You smell nice."

"Thought you didn't lie?" Ciri muttered, "I smell like sweat and sex. Your smelling yourself."

"I don't lie, you know that. Who doesn't enjoy the smell of passionate morning-after sex, especially after the amazing sex we had last night?" Lucifer said, knowing his sweet talking was working, "And why I smell so nice. Because I'm the Devil, I don't sweat and collect dirt on myself like mortals do."

Later that morning, deciding to let Ciri sleep in as she would have trouble walking anyway after their escapade from last night.

Being dressed in his usual outfit except missing his coat for the moment, Lucifer walked down into the main area of the Chameleon where he found Dandelion and Triss sitting at the bar, obviously discussing something.

"Hello people who's name I remember!" Lucifer said cheerfully as he sat down next to the red haired sorceress, "What are we talking about?"

"Good morning." Dandelion said, "We are discussing the events of last night."

"Did something interesting happen?" Lucifer said, with a finger snap a glass filled with whisky appeared in his hand.

"There was a woman moaning so loud last night, every woman in Novigrad is looking for her." Triss explained, "They want to see who was making her moan that loud so they too could have what she was having."

"Wouldn't be the first time." Lucifer said casually, "So, where is Geralt?" before taking a drink.

"He's off with Yennefer." Dandelion said, "She finally found a clue where Margarita should be."

"That's good! One more mage to help in our fight against the Wild Hunt." the blonde Devil said as he turned to Triss, "How is your search going for, what was her name again, Phil?"

"Philippa, yes." Triss said, "I found a few things that could be interesting."

"Oh, please." Lucifer said as he leaned on the bar, "Do tell!"

"I can never tell if your sarcastic or not." Dandelion said.

"It's one of my devilish qualities that keeps people on their toes around me." Lucifer said with a smirk, "But I believe Triss was about to spill some interesting details."

"After fleeing Loc Muinne, Philippa ended up here in Novigrad." Triss explained, "She sought help from her former lover, the sorcerer Arthur de Vleester."

"Oh, big mistake there." Dandelion said knowingly, "I doubt this story ends in a 'happily ever after'."

"Philippa had made a fool of him once. Arthur was out for revenge. He convinced her she'd be safest as an owl. She transformed, and he placed a dimeritium band on her leg. The mage hunts started shortly afterwards. Sadly, Arthur fell victim. They auctioned off his estate."

"Hold on... Didn't Zoltan have an owl?" Lucifer said suddenly remembering something, "Bloody hell! Philli could have been here the entire time!"

"Well she was." Triss said, "Zoltan lost her in a card game a few days ago."

"Oh for fuck sake..." Lucifer said annoyed, "Who did he lost the bloody bird to?"

"He was not from around here, nobody knows him. But I have another lead." Triss said and from inside one of her pockets, she pulled out a feather, "We have this."

"Is that her feather?" Dandelion said, "Your going to try magic?"

"I think our sorceress here is going for hydromancy with a splash of sortilege." Lucifer said and she nodded at him, "There is a much easier way, my dear."

"Are you proposing the use of some Archangel magic?" Triss said.

"I prefer the term Lucifer magic, but yes." Lucifer said as he stood up, "Let's partner up on this little search! With me and you together, we will find Phili before Geralt and Yennefer find Margarita!"

The duo of Lucifer and Triss, who he had dubbed as Team Luciriss, walked through the Novigrad, following after the floating feather, which Lucifer had enchanted to return to it's origin.

"Why didn't you use this spell to find Ciri?" Triss said, walking next to him with her hood on.

"It wouldn't have worked. She was constantly in a different World." Lucifer said as he noticed that every so often she shot him a glance, "If you wish to ask me something, go right ahead. But for every awnser I give, I do expect one in return."

"Oh, alright." Triss said, "How do you angels work?"

He gave her a questioning look, making it know that he needed some clarification on her question, "What I mean is, your magic as well as Uri is different from my magic, from anyone's magic." she said, "And I have seen what you two can do at Kaer Morhen. Uri is a goddess of telekinetic force and Ciri told me you can do something with desire? How you can draw it out of people."

"I can do a lot more than just that. But how we work... That's a good question, actually, I suppose." Lucifer said as he began to think how best to put it to words, "When I first went to angel school, they sorted us into different houses for different powers."

"There's a school for angels?" Triss said surprised.

"No. There's no Hogwarts in the sky." Lucifer said seeing the confused look on her face, "Right you have no idea what that is. Let me put it this way, there is no Aretuza in Heaven."

"Let's just boil it down to the basics. All Archangels are immortal, strong enough to shatter entire universes with our barehands, move so far above the speed of light that we can appear in multiple places at once and even move between Worlds, mastery of all forms of magic some mortals can only dream of, along with many other abilities. But me and my less handsome twin are even above them."

"I can control, shape, warp, and transmute any aspect of reality, even abstract concepts like time and space. But unlike my parents, I cannot make something from nothing. I need a medium to work with like a potter needing clay or a painter needing canvas, paint, and brush. Let say if I were banished or trapped in a void without my cane or my wings, I would basically be powerless."

"Now enough about me and how amazing I am, for now." Lucifer said as he gestured to her, "Tell me something about Triss. Like why you where being so down lately? Is it because of Geralt and Yennefer?"

"It's nothing..." Triss said, "Geralt is now with his true love."

"Love isn't real. It's just a mix of lust and attachment." Lucifer said smugly, "Except what Cirilla and I have, now that is true love."

"Are you being sarcastic or..." Triss said, shaking her head, "Never mind.", knowing he was just messing with her.

"Now if it's a significant other you want, I can help you with that." Lucifer said with the brightest smirk, "I can be your matchmaking Devil!"

"Maybe..." Triss said, "My turn again... What terrifies you?"

"A good one... Something that terrifies me... There is nothing actually." Lucifer said as he thought about it, "Though the closest thing is Silver Age Skywalker."

"Silver Age Skywalker?" Triss said surprise, "What is that?"

"He's a who, not a what. He's a survivor from the previous Omniverse. What did you think this was the first one my parents created? The Omniverse get's refreshed every few eons or so." Lucifer said with a shrug, "If I remember correctly, this is the third cycle. Silver Age Skywalker is the sole survivor of the second cycle, ergo the moniker Silver Age."

"Why does he terrifies you?" Triss said curiously, "Is he stronger than you?"

"Stronger than me? Nobody is stronger than me, my dear!... Except mum and dad." Lucifer said with a laugh, "No, while he is immensely powerful. I would put him below Archangel but above Angel, maybe even lower Archangel. It's just... something is off about him. Can't really place it, but it gives even me the creeps."

Just then the feather led them into the bathhouse owned by Sigimund Dijkstra, who apparently was someone Triss was familiar with.

Walking through the open double-sized door, the entire bathhouse seemed to be in a state of chaos as multiple fiery explosions erupted around it. Dijkstra himself was hiding behind a stone wall, and before Lucifer or Triss could say anything another explosion followed, making Triss quickly take cover while Lucifer just stood there, quite enjoying the warmth.

"This place is a maze, witch!" Dijkstra shouted, "You'll never get out!"

Peeking over the ruined wall, Lucifer spotted a few of Dijkstra's men, each with weapons, and a rather attractive dark haired woman wearing a blindfold, who was casting the fireballs. He didn't need Triss to point out that this was Philipa.

For some reason, Lucifer thought she would be excellent at lesbomancy.

"Hello Sigi." Lucifer said as he stepped over the broken wall, "Now pardon me."

"Oh no." Dijkstra said upon seeing Triss, "The sorceress stays here."

"Yeah, I'm not asking for permission." Lucifer said simply raising his hand to disperse the incoming flames, before holding out his hand for Triss.

"It's fine, Lucifer." Triss said, "I'll stay here to make sure she doesn't escape from this side."

"Suit yourself." he said with a shrug before turning to stride confidently through the chaos that is currently running the bathhouse.

Sensing something coming, something far more powerful was approaching. Philipa used her magic to take control of Dijkstra's men. But she really shouldn't have bothered as with a single fingersnap they where forced to the ground, where the stone melted to form shackles around their legs and arms, keeping them in place.

"Hello Philipa." Lucifer said smugly as he casually flicked aside her blast of fiery magic, "There is no need for that! All I want is a little chat!"

"What do you want? To torment me?" Philipa demanded to know, "To watch others do so?"

"Please, I got my employees for that and watching them torment people went stale absurdly quickly." Lucifer said nonchalantly, "No, I'm here on behave of Triss Marigold, who's outside waiting to explain everything."

"If you betray me." Philipa warned.

"My word is my bond, I will do nothing of the sort." Lucifer said annoyed, "Besides there would be nothing you can do against me."

"Why? Because your immortal?" Philipa said as she walked with Lucifer, much to his surprised, "I've heard that line before from a woman, with that same accent and same supreme smugness..."

"I've had many accents over the years." Lucifer said smugly, "But this one is clearly the best."

Near the entrance of the bathhouse, Dijkstra came walking up to the Devil and the Sorceress through the state she had left it in.

"Deepest apologies, but the lady will come with me. I have no quarrel with you, Lucifer, no intension of it." Dijkstra said turning from the blonde Devil to the dark haired sorceress, "But Phil and I have lots to talk about. Remember the assassins you sent after me, darling Phil? A grave error. Such matters ought to be handled personally."

"Or have done by a trusted assistant." Lucifer said with a smirk, "While this little lovers dispute is all very dramatic, I have need of the lady."

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't give a flying fuck." Dijkstra said, "I've awaited this moment forever, so, very sorry, but I care as much about your plans as I do about the snows of Makakam."

"Careful now Dijkstra." Lucifer said in a pleasant tone, but the underlying hint of threat was not lost on either of them, "Philipa comes with me end of discussion. Or do I need to remind you of what I did with that king, the one you wished me to kill, the one who's head I brought you? What was his name again? Randomvid?"

"Radovid? Do I understand you correctly? You killed Radovid?" Philipa suddenly spoke up, seemingly glancing in Lucifer's direction, before turning to the heavyset man, "Well, well, Sigi, I am impressed. Doubted you still had it in you, frankly."

"Seems Radovid was much beloved and will be sorely missed." Lucifer said with a dry tone, "Especially by you two. But we have a tight agenda and I really could go for a stiff drink."

"...Fine." Dijkstra said with a snarl, "Get her out of here before I bust a testikel."

"A wise decision!" Lucifer said with a smirk, happy that the former spy-master didn't decide to become a blood smear on the wall, "See you around, Dijkstra."

Just outside the entrance, the duo of Devil and Sorceress where approached but this time by someone much lovelier than Dijkstra.

"Sorry to take so long." Triss said, "But I had to deal with the guards."

"Hakuna matata, Triss, hakuna matata." Lucifer said, noticing the confused looks, "It's mean no worries."

"Hello Triss." Philipa said, not sounding entirely pleased.

"Philipa, are you alright?" she said.

"I've been better." Philipa said as she watched the Devil open a portal by slicing open reality, "Who's your smooth talking friend?"

"He's Lucifer Lux." she said, "He's..."

"Interesting." Philipa said.

Back at the Chameleon, Lucifer was sitting across from Priscilla with Triss next to him. As he had guessed, they had returned earlier with Philipa, who was now upstairs in her room, then Geralt and Yennefer had returned with Magarita.

"As I said!" Lucifer said, raising his glass, "Team Luciriss! Let's go!"

"Yeah." Triss said with a giggle, "Team Luciriss!"

"Glad you two get along." Priscilla said with a laugh.

"Oh we do. But even though we are Team Luciriss, don't think I didn't realize why you asked those specific questions." Lucifer said with a wink, knowing she was trying to find any weaknesses in case he would ever hurt Ciri.

"What?" Triss said, "No, I wouldn't..."

"Yes, you would." Lucifer said before noticing and commenting on the lack of music in the place.

"Oh, the band Dandelion hired to preform in the morning couldn't make it." Priscilla said, "He and Ciri are out looking for a replacement."

Suddenly Lucifer stood up with his glass in hand, "What are you doing?" Triss said.

"Put some life into this pub." Lucifer said, downing his drink, "Potato! Bring out the piano!"

After finding Magarita, who had escaped from Temple Isle during the same breakout as Dandelion. Yennefer had used her magic to create a portal back to the Chameleon to covertly bring them back. But Geralt, with his rather infamous dislike of portals had returned to by foot. Just outside he ran into Dandelion and Ciri.

"Geralt!" Ciri said, "Did you find Margarita?"

"Yeah, we did." Geralt said, "What are you doing out here?"

"Helping Dandelion." Ciri explained to her father, "As he is helping me with... A gift."

"A gift for Lucifer?" Geralt said with his arms crossed, before noticing that the Chameleon seemed crowded more than usual.

The trio walked into the Chamaleon, they where surprised to see that the inn was bursting with people as on stage stood a large piano, one Ciri had became familiar with during her stay with Lucifer. The Devil himself was seated behind it, using his masterful skill to play soft music from his instrument and wave them together to create beautiful music.

"What did I ever do to you, that you should treat me this way? Is it really such a crime, for an angel to speak his mind? In time I'll try to shed some light. If I were a big boy I wouldn't cry, but since I'm not a big boy, I'll have to cry." Lucifer began to sing along with his music, "What did I ever do so wrong, that you should cast me from grace? Though I love to rule in hell here..."

He continued to play the soft and calm piano music, but hints of anger and bitterness become more pronounced in his masterfully played music.

"I'm just like you, I'm made by him. Despised by they, I'm almost me! I'm nearly human, look at me! I'm almost a human being!" Lucifer sang with bitter realization, "I still remember your light! It was streaming down and burning out my eyes! If I were a big boy I wouldn't cry! But since I'm not a big boy! I'll have to close my eyes and picture what it's like!"

"These tears are real! I'm jealousy! I'm spite and hate! To the core I'm mean!" Lucifer continued to sing captivating the crowd, "I'm nearly human look at me, I'm almost a human being! I'm just like you! Better than He! To Hell with they! I'm almost me! I'm nearly human! Pity me I'm almost a human being!..."

He played a few more notes, as he music died down. Lucifer had stand up towards the end of the song, leaning on the piano as applause began to erupt in the Chameleon, and even Geralt had to admit the Devil had an impressive singing voice.

"You really love him." Yennefer said, having walked over to them during the performance, "I can see it."

"I do, with every part of my being." Ciri said as she watched the Devil she had come to love so much, "I'm just happy he's into younger woman."

"Ciri, he's the Devil." Geralt said dryly, "Literally everyone is younger than him.."

"Well..." Yennefer said, a bit embarrassed, "The lad is very skilled."

"Ladies and gentlemen, you have been the most beautiful audience! Toss a coin to your witcher, if you can. And if anyone needs me." Lucifer said, picking up his glass, "I'll be at the bar."

Lucifer jumped off the stage and made his way through the crowd and towards the smiling Ciri. Who once he got close to her, he lifted her off the ground placing a kiss on her mouth.

Geralt groaned and rolled his eyes, "Ciri, you got something on your face. Let me help." he said before pulling the Devil off her.

"We got back with Philipa, they said you were gone." Lucifer said, "And I got bored waiting for you."

"Glad you did." Ciri said, "I missed hearing a certain baritone singing everyday."

"Baritone-tenor split actually." Lucifer said with a slight chuckle.
