Upon returning to Magnolia, Ben came up with a plan to visit the Magic Library. He needs to do something about it because visiting it will take months as he needed to scan a lot of books.
On his way back to Magnolia, Ben had thought about it too. He thought that it will be very convenient if he had a door connecting to Fairy Tail and the Magic Library. That wild thought gave him a idea he never thought of before.
Ben planned to create a teleportation device that connects Fairy Tail and the Magic Library. Teleportation devices had actually been invented on Earthland. But they're not widespread and only those with a lot of authority know about them.
With his position as a Wizard Saint, Ben can come up with a method to construct it. But he wouldn't do that because the Council and other guilds would find out he's planning something with it. It would be troublesome if they try to do something because of it.
So he will make it himself with the best assistant in the world, A.I Chip. He already knew and even used some teleportation spells. Now he just needed to break them down to the fine details and build the device.
The device he planned to create will be exclusive to him. So only he's permitted to use it and others will need his consent to use it. This way, he can keep it a secret and prevent it from being misused.
While working on it, Ben looked at a nutcracker doll on the table. It's the doll that houses Zancrow's soul now. He moved the soul from the previous wooden puppet to this nutcracker. At least it will have some use because it can actually crack nuts.
"I still need to think about God Slayer Magic as well. Damn, there are too many things to do and they keep increasing. I don't even time to train seriously and only do daily training since I recovered." Ben grumbled.
"Don't think about it too much and just do it like you usually do. After the Anima plan is complete, you will be able to start your research on these things and get stronger." Mira said. She helped Ben filter new jobs.
"I know, it's taking too long though. All these new tasks as guild master are taking up my time." Ben replied.
"Well, nothing you can do about that. But now the busy days as guild master finally came to a end, didn't they?" Mira asked.
"Yeah, the new management system has been established. It will take a huge load off my shoulders and make guild work easier. Now only the most important things require my attention. The rest will be handled by the new departments." Ben nodded.
Ben asked A.I Chip to come up with the most efficient management system from all the data it has. It took A.I Chip a rather long time to finish it because they needed to test it through many simulations before applying it.
Also, they needed time to find personnel for this new system that required more people than their previous system. They couldn't just accept anyone and need to find those that they can trust because these people will handle important matters in the guild.
But they also anticipated if something unexpected happened. They established a department to handle these unwanted surprises and also establish safety measures in every department and group.
Ben is really careful about this kind of thing since the Magic Council had spies infiltrate their guild. Besides, espionage isn't the only thing he needed to be wary of. There are still some crimes that can occur in an organization like this and he needed to anticipate them all.
The management system Ben and A.I Chip came up with many safety measures for different kinds of trouble. But they'll still supervise it and make necessary changes if they find faults.
"So, when will you go to the Magic Library?" Mira asked while Ben cracked a walnut-like nut with his new nutcracker.
*Crack* The nut was cracked easily.
"I don't know. It will have to wait until I finish the teleportation device. After that, we can go back and forth to the Magic Library whenever we want." Ben said before he ate the cracked nut.
"How're the three children doing?" Ben asked while cracking another nut.
"They're doing good, those children are obedient and do their work as waiters properly. I can't say the same about learning magic though. But it's not really them that have the problem, it's those 11 who aren't really good at teaching. The three have made progress, but it's slow." Mira explained.
"Well, it will take time for them to become good teachers. They will eventually get better. The most important thing is that the three are still making progress no matter how slow it is. Those three have also started learning magic, so we can't expect it to be fast." Ben said.
Ben and Mira then head downstairs to relax and talk with the others. Bella waited downstairs while helping the children work. She didn't want to stay in Ben's office because it is too boring for her.
While he sat on the bar stool, Ben looked at some mages who are choosing jobs. Now, the jobs have more classifications so the mages will know the risks better. There are 5 job classes from A to E which they can choose.
These classes are based on difficulties, not rewards. Although the most dangerous jobs have a higher reward, that's not always the case. Sometimes, there are jobs with lower difficulties but have a higher reward and the opposite also appeared sometimes.
Ben also classified the mages' classes from A to E which previously didn't exist. This system will help the mages know the limit of the jobs they can take. The classification also applied to teams that are affected by the members' classes.
But sometimes, there are cases where a mage's class doesn't affect their job class. It's when their abilities match the job so they will have a high chance to finish it. But to do that, they need the guild master's approval first, which of course, is not easy.
Ben came up with this system to ensure the mages' safety. Death is always a risk with their line of work and he wanted to minimize it. Even if they don't die, they're always a possibility of injuries that lead to retirement and that will reduce the guild's power.
If the mages want to get higher class jobs with higher pay, they will have to get stronger. Ben also came up with better training programs that all Fairy Tail mages can take. They also have better training facilities constructed after the Magic Council's 'apology'.
Ben gave them more freedom to learn from their guild's library. So there's no excuse for the mages to not get stronger. If they can't get stronger, then they can only blame their laziness.
As he sees the mages who choose jobs, Ben was reminded he hadn't taken a job since he recovered. Now the guild's management system has been established so he can leave the guild for a few days.
"Should we take a job, Mira? We need to increase our S-Class job record too. You, me and Kenshin are the only ones that can take them." Ben asked.
"I just went on a job a few days ago. But I don't mind going with you. I doubt I'll have anything to do on the job." Mira admitted.
"Nice, I can work now. My body is becoming stiff from sitting down most of the day." Ben said excitedly.
