Ruffnut sat in the great hall, unusually alone. Well, not really alone the rest of the gang was there but she had placed herself in a corner watching the others joke around. Her focus was mostly on two particular men, Snotlout and her brother. About two weeks ago she and Snotlout had had sex and ever since he has been keeping her at a distance but was as close as ever with Tuff and it pissed her off. What pissed her off even more is when he would look over at her, a suggestive glint in his eye. Gods she hated men and how confusing they could be. Not long after, Snotlout decided to leave, and Ruffnut, who wanted an explanation, followed him.
Snotlout walked into his hut, it wasn't much now that he lived on his own but it had everything he needed so he wasn't complaining. Sitting down by the empty fireplace Snotlout contemplated lighting it or just heading to bed but before he could make a discussion Ruffnut burst in, spear in hand, and demanding answers. Snotlout took the spear from the already angry woman only to regret it as she started yelling at him her finger jabing him in his chest. Ruffnut backed Snotlout into the corner, her usually calming blue eyes now burning through his skin. He looked over her shoulder trying to plan an escape but she was so close to him that he couldn't get away from her without physically hurting her. "If someone took your dragon nip it was not me!" Snotlout closed his eyes tight preparing for the beating he was about to get but it never came. Cautiously opening his eyes Snotlout saw that Ruffnut's anger had subsided and she was now leaning against the wall next to him.
"If it was just a one-night stand tell me, I'll understand but you can't keep giving me mixed signals, my feelings matter too Snotlout," Ruff said, leaning her head back and staring at the ceiling. Snotlout's eyebrows creased as he tried to understand what she was talking about before realization came crashing down and all he could do was whisper 'fuck.' After a few minutes of silence, Snotlout took Ruff's hands, guided her to the bed, and sat her down, kneeling in front of her.
"Ruffnut you are so much more than a one-night stand, I really like you." Ruffnut looked at the man in front of her trying to find any trace of a lie in his eyes. He sounded so sincere but still, she kept her distance pulling her hands back and looking away from him. "Then why have you been avoiding me?" Snotlout took her face in his hands, forcing her to look at him, and explained how Tuffnut had told him she wasn't interested.
"Why would you listen to him you moran, just because we're twins doesn't mean we tell each other everything," Ruffnut said, a ghost of a smile appearing on her face, "You really think I would have told him about that night."
"Yeah, that makes sense," Snotlout said, moving to sit beside his friend? Well, he wasn't quite sure what they were now, however, Ruff didn't give him much time to think about it as she placed a gentle kiss on his cheek causing his train of thought to abruptly switch to something else.
"You know I think I deserve a proper apology," Ruffnut whispered, her eyes tracing every inch of the man's body. Snotlout smirked not needing an explanation to understand what she wanted. Removing both their helmets and gently placing his hands just above her chest Snotlout pushed Ruffnut down his lips catching her's, lust taking control of his actions. He could feel her hands tugging on his hair kissing him back with just as much passion. Snotlout ran a hand up her side and stopped just beneath her breast.
"Why'd you stop," Ruff asked with a mixture of concern and frustration. Hooking her arms around her lover she waited patiently for a response, something she would only ever do for him.
"I figured it was best to set our boundaries now, I know things got wild last time, and don't get me wrong I loved every minute of it, but I want you to feel comfortable." Ruffnut smiled at her lover and placed a gentle kiss on his lips before answering. "Try to keep your pants on, okay." Snotlout wasted no more time and began leaving a trail of kisses down from Ruff's jawline to her collarbone murmuring some kind of compliment between each kiss. Ruffnut, deciding she wanted to have a bit of fun as well slid her hands up underneath Snotlout's tunic, her fingers tracing his well-defined abs. With a growl of approval, Ruff kissed him harder her tongue practically gagging him. Snotlout moved his hands down to just below Ruffnut's hips pulling up her tunic and separating their lips long enough to remove the article of clothing. "Not fair," Ruff mumbled her hands moving down to try and get the same experience as the man atop her. Snotlout grinned down at Ruff before sitting up and taking off his own tunic making a show of it. Pulling him back into another heated kiss Ruff let out a moan of delight as Snotlout played with her breast. Normally he wouldn't have such easy access to them but she had been wearing her bindings less to try and get his attention, a seacret she would take to Valhalla. Snotlout moved his kisses down to Ruffnt's chest, his hands gripping her thighs and leaving her a complete mess as she screamed his name and dug her nails into his back. The night continued like that, the two lost in the love and pleasure of each other.
Turning onto his side Snotlout pulled Ruffnut closer to him placing one last kiss on her neck before closing his eyes. Ruffnut smiled to herself, absentmindedly playing with the shorter man's hair and watching him sleep. Placing a quick kiss on his forehead and whispering "I love you" she had planned on going to sleep but the smirk on Snotlout's face caught her attention. "I love me too" he mumbled, keeping his eyes closed.
"You asshole you're supposed to be asleep, and if you're going to respond at least do it the correct way!" Ruff yelled, smacking the other person in the arm.
"And if I don't," Snotlout challenged his eyes now open. Ruffnut stared at him for a moment not letting any emotion show before responding, "If you don't you won't get to touch this anymore." Gesturing to her whole body Ruff made a threat she didn't ever plan on exicutting, but Snotlout didn't need to know that.
"Alright, alright, I love you," Snotlout said, an air of panic in his voice. "Can we go to sleep now, I'm exhausted." Ruffnut smiled at the man in front of her and simply nodded before closing her eyes.
The next morning Ruffnut quickly got dressed and stormed out of the hut dragging a still half-asleep and completely bewildered Snotlout behind her. The two approached Tuffnut who was kneeling down in front of a rock supposedly looking for his sister. "Oh hey, sis where did you go last night?" Tuff asked as he stood and turned around only for his face to be met with Ruff's fist.
"What the hell Ruff, why did you do that," Tuffnut said, cradling the spot on his face that had been hit.
"Why did I do that?! Why did you tell Snotlout I wasn't interested in him?!" Tuff looked past his sister just now noticing his best friend. He also noticed how he was shirtless and more disheveled than usual though figured it would be best to deal with that later.
"Jeez, sorry I thought you weren't. I swear you don't tell me anything anymore," Tuffnut exclaimed, being dramatic about how Ruffnut was leaving him.
"I'm not leaving you, you big baby. You're my brother but that does not mean you get to control my relationships," Ruff said, punching her twin in the arm although much softer than when she hit his face.
"So what exactly happened last night," the younger of the twins asked though it was clear he already had a pretty good idea as evident by the glare he was shooting at Snotlout. Ruffnut simply answered with the truth, though not going into detail, before walking off to Thor knows where leaving Snotlout with her brother, a brother who looked way too pleased at the fact that he had a weapon and Snotlout had nothing.
