Ben, Mira and Bella head to the Magic Library through the teleportation door. Macao would handle the guild's affairs for the time being so they don't need to worry about anything. Their priority is the Magic Library.
"Mira, I will modify the Library's defense systems to avoid any unnecessary trouble. You can proceed with the plan while I'm doing that."
"Alright, I've prepared what you asked for." Mira informed him.
Ben nodded and made 7 clones before he left to do his job. Mira took a thick book out after he left and went to a room with three of the clones. A clone then took a thick book off a shelf and handed it to Mira.
The book's content is the list of magic books stored in this library. Mira will copy it so they can find any book they want when the time came. Keeping the real book list is also an option but it might be a problem if the real one disappeared.
While Mira does her job, the 7 clones spread out all over the library. They will read the magic books that Ben couldn't read the last time he was here. The clones wear Gale Force Reading Glasses with 120 times reading speed enhancement, so they can read really fast.
Still, there are too many magic books here so they won't finish everything right away. They also can't read too many books at once because it will put too much strain on Ben's brain when they dispel themselves and their memories are sent to Ben.
A.I Chip also needed time to process all the information that it receives from the clones and sort it out. All those processes are fast compared to the normal method where he has to read by himself, but it still takes time to finish everything.
Ben also planned to copy all the magic books in this Magic Library and use the copies for the guild's collection. But he still hasn't found the people that can do the job because it's difficult. Not to mention the ones who must do this need to be trustworthy because the job is important.
For now, Ben just wants to improve his own power so he sent his clones to read the books. The magic books that they prioritize are those related to his Sun Dragon Slayer Magic, which means they're looking for elements related to the sun.
He had prioritized them in the past but there were still many books that he hasn't read. Also he tried to find clues on God Slayer Magic. Too bad the Magic Library doesn't have anything related to Slayer Magic except for records or simple explanations.
The day went without a hitch and Ben successfully modified the defense system. He was disappointed though because there wasn't a whole lot of information on God Slayer Magic. Zancrow's soul wasn't much help either.
The Fire God Slayer Lacrima he obtained from extracting Zancrow's magic is more useful because he can get some information out of it. But it was only superficial information that served no purpose. He will get the details if he planted the lacrima in his body but he doesn't want to.
"I don't want to be a Fire God Slayer. My goal is to become a Sun God Slayer so I can't use the lacrima. But the information about the magic I received from the lacrima without planting it in myself is limited. I need a book on Fire God Slayer Magic. It seems I need to visit Grimoire Heart's base and look for the book on Fire God Slayer Magic on my own." Ben said as he went to find Mira.
Mira had copied a portion of the list book's content. She is fast considering the number of books on the list reached tens of thousands. It would take at least 4 days for her to finish it, which was fine.
Then over the next few days, they kept working at the Magic Library while going home at night through the teleportation door. They finished it in a week because they reduced their work rate to avoid straining themselves.
After Mira finished copying the list book, Ben had a new regulation. All Fairy Tail members are allowed to choose any magic book from the Magic Library one time for free. But if they needed more, they had to collect contribution points.
They can collect contribution points by completing jobs or other tasks that help the guild. Each magic book had different contribution points based on it's rarity and grade. A.I Chip assigned the points for each book so Ben just needed to write them down on the list.
He made this system so that everyone will work to get what they want rather than just asking for it. But he gave them one chance to choose any magic book they wanted for free. So they all need to use this chance very well.
"Remember this! Higher grades and rare books aren't always better for you. Choosing magic books that match you and will help with your current progress is better. You also need to consider the difficulty of learning the magic and if you have enough power to use it. A sword isn't always better than a knife. It all depends on the one who uses them. So choose wisely." Ben said as he announced the new regulation.
Everyone understood what he meant and they know he was right. So they all take the time to choose the magic books carefully. They all have the same priority, which is to find the magic books that can improve their magic. Choosing a magic book took a long time because everyone was very careful.
It took 4 days for everyone in the guild to choose the magic books. After that, they all start to read the magic books that they just obtained. But Ben only allowed them to read them inside the Magic Library to avoid something like the books going missing.
Ben also told them to go on jobs and not just spend all their time reading. They need to keep the guild running or there won't be any jobs assigned to their guild anymore. The mages can also try out the new spells that they've just learned.
Each magic book contained a few spells that they could learn one at a time and use it first before learning the other spells. Unlike Ben, they didn't have a A.I that allowed them to use multiple spells at once. So they all need time to finish reading their books.
The guild returned to normal after that and their work rate even increased. Everyone is pumped up after they learn new spells and want to try them out immediately. There's not a single mage that wouldn't be happy after improving their magic.
A week after things returned to normal, Ben set off to do his own thing. He took a S-Class job while also intending to go to Grimoire Heart's base. His job's location is near the base so he takes it.
Ben didn't take Bella because this was going to be dangerous. Also, he intended to wipe out Grimoire Heart and kill the members that left Tenrou Island, so he didn't want to bring anyone with him. He harbors a grudge because they were the reason Acnologia came to Tenrou Island.
"It's been a long time since I killed people in the pursuit of revenge. The last time I did that was when I killed members of that bike gang on Earth that led to my execution. I did it quickly at the time because it was the only way to kill them all before I was captured. But now, I can take my time to get my revenge because I have the power to do so." Ben said as he looked at the map in his hands.
He smirked to himself.
"Grimoire Heart, you're going to regret everything you did to us." He said.
