Chapter 9: Family Dinner
—-
Izuku's Mindscape
Izuku looks around, only seeing darkness. Looking down, he sees his body covered in dark green mist. The only part of his body that is uncovered is his left arm. Looking around once more, he sees that he is standing on the only piece of solid ground along with 8 seats in front of him. A red mist begins to appear when suddenly a hand shoots out.
"Dang it kid, you sure are tough!" The owner of the arm appears to Izuku. A large, bald man wearing a black jacket with goggles appears in his face.
"We gotta talk." The man says. Izuku reaches for his mouth, showing the man that he can't talk.
"Why can't I speak?" Izuku thinks.
"Woah, where's your mouth? That's freaky!" The man yells out. "Anyways, it's great to finally meet you. We've been waiting for the right opportunity and it's finally here. The name's Daigoro Banjo and I'm the 5th user of 'One For All'."
"The 5th user?!" Izuku mentally exclaims.
"Now's the time! It's manifesting, so you gotta work harder!" Banjo yells out.
"How can I see him so clearly? Wait! Maybe the past users are fully gone?"
"You gotta train like a madman and maybe you'll get a handle on it. Damn, is my time up?" Banjo looks at his arms and sees himself fading. "One thing before I go, that thing that shot out of you was originally my quirk."
"His quirk? How is that possible?" Izuku questions.
"Let me explain a bit. Our individual quirk factors have been mixed with the core of 'One For All' this whole time. Imagine the core in the middle of a raging flames. Those flames are the cultivated power we users added to the original. After many generations the core is beginning to expand and move."
"Expanding?"
"The reason why you see us between fluctuations is because 'One For All' itself is growing inside you." Banjo points at Izuku. "Think back. When you used my quirk, you were dead set on stopping that creature from going after your friends. It was all you can think about." Izuku nods his head in response. "It just so happens that my quirk was the best quirk for the job. That's why I'm the first you're meeting."
"Wait, then that means.."
"I don't wanna brag but my quirk is great but I'd be careful. Thanks to 'One For All' it's stronger now then when it was mine. ARGH! Damnit, I'm fading away because all that's left of me is my spirit. Listen up, if you use 'One For All' in anger then the power will react to it. So make sure to keep tabs in your heart. Anger could be the source of incredible strength but you need to be able to control your emotions."
"After being passed down through 8 people, 'One For All' has become an unstoppable force. You better get ready, because you'll be having 6 quirk manifest as you improve this quirk. Control your heart and master using those who live in this power. We're with you kid! You'll be the one to complete 'One For All'!" Banjo yells out, disappearing into the mist but not before showing 8 other figures. Izuku's eyes widen as everything goes black. Feeling something soft on his lips, Izuku slowly opens his eyes to see Satsuki leaving through the door before closing his eyes once more.
—-
Several Hours Later
Emerald eyes begin to slowly open. Izuku rubs his eyes as he slowly sits up, looking around as he does. That's when the door to the recovery girl's office slides open.
"Young Midoriya!"
"Izuku!" Izuku looks to his right and finds Toshinori and Inko walking in.
"Hey guys." Izuku softly says.
"Young Midoriya, how do you feel?" Toshinori asks.
"I feel a little sore but otherwise I'm okay." Izuku admits, lifting his right arm. Seeing his arm with a few new scars wasn't so surprising. He lifts his head and looks forward, seeing a mirror on the wall. His eyes widen as he touches the large scar running through his right eye.
"Oh my baby." Inko begins to tear up.
"I'm sorry, Young Midoriya. Shuzenji couldn't heal all your wounds, but it's a small price to pay for you to be alright." Inko nods her head in agreement as she sits on the bed with Izuku.
"That's alright, I've already gotten used to the scars. That just means I have to train harder to master 'One for All'." Izuku says. "Toshinori, I saw them."
"Saw who?"
"The past users of 'One For All'." Toshinori's eyes widened after the revelation.

Saturday, April 15th
After the USJ incident, class 1-A were given the rest of the week off. After waking up, Izuku informed both Toshinori and his mother of his time speaking with Banjo. After learning of the manifestation of 'Black Whip', Toshinori began having Izuku train with it.
Now, after training, Toshinori and Izuku return to the Midoriya household for some late breakfast. As the duo walk in, their noses are attacked with the smell of pancakes. Thanks to Toshinori's gift of an american cookbook, Inko's skills in the kitchen have gotten better, ten fold.
"Welcome back you two. Take a seat, breakfast if almost finished." Inko happily says. As the 'One For All' users take their seats, Inko walks over, handing each a plate with 5 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 hash browns and scrambled eggs.
"Wow, Mom, this looks great." Izuku hungrily says, spreading syrup on his pancakes.
"Yes, this looks amazing, Inko." Toshinori says.
"Why thank you, Toshi." Inko blushes as she sits down as well.
"Toshi?" Izuku asks, mouth filled with food. Inko chuckles as she wipes his cheek.
"That's something we wanted to talk to you about." Inko says, nudging Toshinori to join.
"Ah, y-yes…about that…" Toshinori stutters. Inko tilts his head in confusion as Inko holds Toshinori's hand.
"We wanted you to be the first to know that…well m-me and Toshi have started dating." Inko finally admits.
"Oh, I know that." Izuku reveals. Toshinori starts choking on his food as Inko pats his back.
"YOU KNOW!?" Toshinori yells.
"Yeah, I kinda figured something was going on between you two about a year ago but just waited for you to say something." Izuku nonchalantly says.
"Well that was anticlimactic." Inko admits, sighing in relief. "There's something else. Last night I got a call from Mitsuki Bakugo." Izuku's body freezes just as he brings the spoon to his mouth.
"Yeah, I ran into her the other day." Izuku admits, taking a bite of his food.
"She did mention that, but she said she wants to catch up with me. So, she invited us to have dinner with them tonight and well I accepted." Izuku's eyes grow cold as he looks down at his food, beginning to play with it. "I know this is hard for you, after everything, so I understand if you want to stay home or I can cancel as well."
"It's fine, Mom. If you really want to go, then I'll join you." Izuku says, giving his Mom a soft smile.
"Young Midoriya, are you sure." Toshinori asks worriedly.
"It's alright, I can handle one night." Izuku reassures them. "Um, I think I'm full. So, excuse me." Izuku gets up and heads toward his room, leaving the two adults.
"Do you think I did the right thing, Toshi?" Inko asks.
"I think this is the right step into his recovery. Young Midoriya holds much anger towards Young Bakugo, I've seen it. I think if he wants to move on, then this dinner needs to happen." Toshinori squeezes her hand in reassurance. Inko smiles up at Toshinori and squeezes back.

Later That Day
Standing in front of the Bakugo household, both Inko and Izuku look nervously at the home in front of them. Inko looks over at Izuku and takes his hand in hers, giving it a tight squeeze.
"Just breathe, Izuku. If you feel too overwhelmed then just tell me and we can leave. By the way, you look really handsome." Inko assures her son. Izuku smiles at her.
"Thanks, Mom." Izuku decided to dress casually, wearing a plain white t-shirt, a green jacket with jeans and tan boots. Inko smiles as she rings the doorbell. Not even a half second later, the door swings open and Mitsuki Bakugo squeals as she hugs Inko.
"Inko! It's so great to see you. Fuck, you look do good. You must work out a lot." Mitsuki points out as she drags both Midoriya's into her home.
"Oh, you must be as well, Mitsuki. You haven't changed a bit." Inko points out. Mitsuki brings her old friend into a tight embrace and then turns to Izuku, hugging him as well.
"It's good to see you again, Izuku." Mitsuki tells him.
"You too, Aunt Mitsuki." Izuku replies.
"You look so handsome, Izuku. You're definitely gonna have Satsuki drooling." Mitsuki winks as she leads them to the dining table. Izuku gives a small chuckle as he sits next to his mom. Mitsuki notices the slight mood change in Izuku after mentioning her daughter but decides not to ask.
"Satsuki! Get your ass down here, we have guests!" Mitsuki yells out.
"Stop yelling, I'm coming!" Satsuki yells back. While they wait for Satsuki, Mitsuki motions for the duo to sit in the living room instead. Walking into the room, both greenette's are met by Masaru Bakugo, reading a small book. Looking up from his book, Masaru smiles at the duo and walks towards them, hugging both Inko and Izuku.
"It's great to see you two. Izuku, you've grown so tall. You're the same height as me, I remember you being so small." Masaru laughs out as he looks over at Izuku. Izuku chuckles but remains quiet. The group then hears some noises from upstairs before hearing footsteps coming from the top of the stairs.
Everyone turns to look, everyone except Izuku. Izuku refuses to look, clenching his fist in anger. Inko looks at Satsuki and can't help but be surprised. Since she's met Satsuki, she's always known her to be a bit of a tomboy, but seeing Satsuki now was just a little surprising. Satsuki nervously smiles as she straightens her white blouse, along with her mid-thigh black skirt. Quickly walking to Inko, she brings the older woman into a tight embrace.
"It's good to see you, Aunt Inko." Satsuki politely says, surprising Izuku and Inko.
"I-It's good to see you too, Satsuki." Inko nervously says. Satsuki turns her attention to Izuku and freezes upon seeing him. She didn't expect him to look this good, even if he just dressed casually. Stepping closer to him, Izuku takes a step back. Satsuki frowns from his action, not going unnoticed by the adults.
"It's good to see that you recovered well." Satsuki shyly says but gets no response, only a nod. The rage inside of Izuku continues to build by just hearing her voice. To Izuku, this emotion is still somewhat new. He was never the type of person to get angry or have a temper but after everything, he can't help it. Mitsuki looks at Izuku and can feel the rage emitting off him, so she decides to move everything along.
"Alright, now that Satsuki is here, let's eat!" Masaru agrees, motioning for everyone to head to the dining room. Izuku and Inko sit on the right side while Satsuki sits across from Izuku. Mitsuki sits at the head of the table with Masaru sitting on the other end.
"Oh, I almost forgot! I brought some brownies that I made before coming." Inko presents the brownies, still a little warm.
"Wow, these look amazing! Where the hell did you learn to make these?" Mitsuki shouts, not wanting to wait any longer. Inko blushes from her compliment.
"Well, I've been practicing with American recipes from the book that Toshi gave me." Inko answers, not giving any thought that she just gave Mitsuki some quality information. Mitsuki's smile grows wider.
"Toshi, huh? Is that your new boyfriend? I didn't know you started dating again. After that asshole, Hiashi, l didn't think you would date again." Mitsuki asks. Inko blushes in response, much to Izuku's embarrassment.
"W-What..I-I…W-Who is that?" Inko stutters, trying not to make eye contact with Mitsuki but loses that battle. "Yes, he is." Izuku looks at his mother's red face and smiles, happy to know that she's happy. Unknownst to him, Satsuki watches him smile and frowns. Mitsuki goes into the kitchen and quickly comes back, carrying something that Izuku recognizes.
"So, tonight I decided to make Izuku's favorite. Katsudon!" Izuku's attitude perked up a little as she looked at her. Mtisuki smiles as she motions her hand to him.
"Go ahead and eat up, Izuku." Izuku is the first to grab some before anyone else. Taking a large bite, Izuku's eyes widened. He's never had Katsudon this good before.
"It's even better than Mom's!" Izuku smiles to himself.
"This is really good, Aunt Mitsuki." Izuku compliments.
"Thank you, but I didn't make this." She replies, looking at her daughter. Izuku follows her eyes and realizes what she means. Satsuki notices her mother and turns bright red.
"SHUT UP!" Satsuki yells out.
"She spent hours trying to get it right." Mitsuki admits.
"STOP!"
"Alright you two, let's just eat." Masaru tries to calm them. Izuku puts down his spoon as he starts grabbing all the other side dishes, leaving his Katsudon untouched. Satsuki notices him ignoring the katsudon and frowns as she loses her appetite.
"I have to ask this before I go mad. Izuku, did you develop a quirk? I know you go to UA, so you must have, right? I remember Inko telling me that you were diagnosed quirkless." Mitsuki bluntly asks. Masaru gives her a look from across the table. "What?"
"It's fine. I thought so too but turns out my quirk was a mutation. I didn't get my mother's 'Telekinesis' or Hiashi's 'Fire Breath'. My quirk is a strength type, although unlike other strength enhancement quirks, mine is an accumulation type. My power had to build over time before it could manifest. So, once my body was able to withstand my quirk, that's when it manifested. I've only really had my quirk for almost two years. I broke my hand the first time I used it but now I can handle about 20-25% of my strength." Izuku finishes his explanation.
"Only 20%? He's already that strong and it's not even his full power?!" Satsuki thinks to herself. Mitsuki and Masaru are speechless.
"Well, I'm just happy that you're able to live your dream. I remember how much you loved heroes." Masaru smiles gently at Izuku.
"It's like old times, am I right? You and Satsuki are in the same class again. Just like when you were kids." Mitsuki laughs out.
"Old times?" Izuku thinks, his rage finally reaching its boiling point.
"Honestly, I was worried about Satsuki after you guys moved away. She changed so much after Izuku left." Mitsuki laughs out, not noticing Izuku's skin begin to glow.
"Mom! Sto-" Satsuki tried to stop her mother but it was too late.
*CRACK*
All eyes turn to the dinner table, broken in half before turning to Izuku. Green lightning surging around his body. Izuku's eyes glowing bright green as he looks up in fury.
"Izuku, please calm down." Inko tries to calm her son.
"No! I won't stay calm!" Izuku shouts. "Why does everyone act as if she didn't do anything to me!" The lightning around Izuku dissipates as everyone stays silent. Turning his head, he points at his burn scar, "You see this? She did this to me, she marked me for life. How could you all just accept what she did to me?!"
Satsuki's eyes widen as she stares at Izuku's face, full of rage.
"I remember everything. Every beating, every burn mark she left behind!" Izuku removes his shirt, revealing his scarred right arm along with several faded burn marks around his torso and chest. Mitsuki and Inko cover their mouths in shock as Masaru turns to his daughter, who remains speechless. Satsuki slowly gets up and tries to get closer.
"Izuku, you have to know, I never meant to hurt you so bad.." Satsuki starts but is interrupted by Izuku.
"Don't call me that! You lost that right when you told me to take a swan dive from the roof!" Izuku yells. Satsuki takes a step back, the memory of that day flashes through her mind. Mitsuki and Masaru both turn to their daughter as Masaru speaks.
"What does he mean by that?" Masaru asks his daughter. Satsuki looks at her father and tries to answer but she fumbles her words.
"The last time we saw each other, Satsuki gave me a piece of advice. She said if I hope to have a quirk, then to take a swan dive off the roof and pray I get a quirk in the next life." Izuku replies to her. All the adults turn to her in shock. "But guess what, that day I decided to listen to your advice." Satsuki's eyes widen further as she listens to his words.
"Please stop, Izuku!" Inko yells, grabbing his arm tightly.
"I'm sorry, I can't. I've been holding this in since the moment I saw her again." Izuku firmly says, tears running down his cheeks. Mitsuki's eyes are filled with tears.
"I-" Satsuki starts.
"Be Quiet!" Masaru yells, surprising Satsuki. Looking at her father, she sees the anger on his face. She's never seen her father angry in her life or raise his voice at her.
"The only reason I haven't caused you the same pain is because of the respect I have for Aunt Mitsuki and Uncle Masaru. Also, I promised someone that I would work to let go of this rage inside me." Izuku tearfully says. Inko grabs his shirt and jacket, handing it to him. Izuku puts his clothes back on and leaves the room, slamming the front door as he walks out.
"I'm sorry for the table. Please send me the bill and I'll pay for a new one." Inko apologizes.
"Don't worry about it, go make sure Izuku is okay." Masaru assures her, watching Inko running after Izuku. Hearing the door close, Satsuki sits back down as she lets the dam break. Mitsuki looks at her daughter, surprised to see her crying.
"Go to your room." Masaru calmly says.
"But dad-" Satsuki tries to speak.
"GO TO YOUR ROOM! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU!" Masaru yells at her. Satsuki bites her bottom lip, getting up and running to her room. Masaru pinches the bridge of his nose as he lets a large sigh go.
Shutting the door to her room, Satsuki leans against the door. She slowly slides down to the floor, holding herself as she continues to cry.

With Izuku
Running down the street, Inko finally finds Izuku. Inko sees Izuku looking at the sky and reaches out to him, bringing him into her embrace. Izuku slowly brings his arms up and holds his mother as he cries.
"I'm s-sorry, M-Mom." Izuku whispers.
"N-No, I'm sorry. I didn't know about any of this and I brought you there. I should have made sure of what you wanted." Inko rubs Izuku's back as she listens. "I didn't know you held this inside you."
"I didn't either but Dr. Lance warned me about this. She said that if I didn't let out this anger then it would blow up in my face. I've tried to forget the past and move forward but being in that room brough everything up, opening old wounds." Izuku admits.
"Izuku, I'm so sorry. I should have talked to you more, maybe if I did then you wouldn't have…" Inko begins to cry as she continues to hold Izuku.

Bakugo Household
Mitsuki and Masaru managed to pick up all the pieces from the broken table, putting them into the trash can. Masaru's face remained calm but Mitsuki knows how angry he is.
"I still can't believe he's the same, sweet little boy that Satsuki used to drag around as kids." Mitsuki quietly says. Masaru remains quiet as he sits on the couch. "Honey, did you hear me?!" Masaru continues to ignore her as he walks towards the stairs.
"SATSUKI! GET DOWN HERE, NOW!" Masaru shouts.
"Masaru, maybe you should wait ti-" Masaru interrupts her mid sentence.
"No! I've put up with her attitude for far too long. Tonight, she's gonna hear me out." Masaru angrily says. Hearing footsteps descending, both parents turn to the stairs to find Satsuki with tears in her eyes and her cheeks flushed. Mitsuki and Masaru are both a little shocked, never having seen their daughter this emotional.
"Satsuki, explain to me what Izuku meant." Masaru sternly says. Satsuki bites her bottom lip, thinking of her words carefully.
"I-I can explain." Satsuki softly says.
"Well…" Masaru replies.
"I love Izuku." Satsuki admits.
"What…Wait what!?" Masaru yells, surprised. Mitsuki isn't as shocked since she's always known. Masaru removes his glasses and rubs his eyes, putting his glasses back on after.
"What did you say?" Masaru asks.
"I love him. I've loved him since we were kids." Satsuki replies, with a serious look in her eye.
"Okay, but that doesn't explain everything Izuku said. How can you cause pain to someone you say you love? If you love Izuku, then how can you suggest suicide." Masaru asks.
"I didn't mean to say that, really. As soon as I said it, I regretted it. After school I went looking for him but I never found him. I even went to his apartment, but he wasn't there. " Satsuki admits.
"That doesn't matter, he still…You're still the reason the person you loved almost left this world!" Masaru didn't want to think of it anymore.
"I did it so he can give up being a hero!" Satsuki shouts. Both Mitsuki and Masaru look at her in confusion.
"What do you mean, 'so he can give up'?" Masaru asks.
"When I found out he was quirkless, I couldn't be happier. I always thought that I could be the hero for the both of us and he would be waiting for me." Satsuki admits. "But then he kept saying he would be a hero over and over again. So I bullied him till he would give up his dream and I could be at peace." Satsuki then feels someone wrap their arms around her. Looking up, she finds her mother gently smiling at her as she hugs her.
"I knew you loved Izuku from the moment the two of you laid eyes on each other. I understand why you did what you did, But you still brought paint to him." Mitsuki whispers to Satsuki.
"What you did to him wasn't the right thing to do, neither was what you told him." Masaru points out. "You have to understand that actions have consequences." He then joins his wife and daughter, hugging them as well. "You're still grounded." Mitsuki slaps his head in response.
"D-Do you guys think h-he will ever forgive me?" Satsuki asks. Mitsuki and Masaru look at eachother, both letting out a sigh.
"I can't answer that for you. After everything that's happened, would you ever forgive someone who made you go through the same things?" Masaru asks, watching Satsuki shake her head.
"You have to give him time. From what I saw, he's been holding this in for a long time. You'll have to work hard to earn his forgiveness but ever since Izuku moved away, I've seen you change so much. You went from being loud, foul mouthed, arrogant to being a less loud, foul mouthed, arrogant girl." Mitsuki laughs, earning a scowl from Satsuki.
"But we'll help you in any way we can, because we love you." The trio share another hug as Masaru speaks again, "But you really are grounded."

Monday, April 17th
UA High School
With their break over, class 1-A return to class to continue their training. Satsuki walks through the halls of UA with a new determination: Get Izuku's forgiveness then marry him.
"I'm getting too far ahead of myself." Satsuki thinks to herself, shaking her head in frustration.
"Bakugo! Wait up!" Satsuki turns around, finding Uraraka running down the hall after her. Stopping for a second, Satsuki lets Uraraka catch up to her.
"Thanks for waiting. So, how was your break?" Uraraka asks, breathing heavily.
"It was…an eye opener." Satsuki admits. Uraraka tilts her head in confusion as the two walk into the room. "It doesn't matter, I'm just ready to get back to some training."
As the doors open, both teens find the rest of their class chatting away about their break. Everyone except for Shoko and Izuku, the former glaring at Izuku. Izuku turns his head and locks eyes with Satsuki, turning his head away from her. Satsuki just walks to her desk, waiting for class to begin. A few seconds later the door opens.
"Everyone in your se-...Nevermind." Aizawa surprisingly says, not expecting everyone to be in their seats.
"Mr. Aizawa, you look almost as good as new." Ojiro points out.
"Yeah, well I wasn't as injured as everyone thought, so the old lady went a little overboard." Aizawa rubs the single scar under his eye. "Besides, I have Midoriya to thank for that. So, thank you." Midoriya rubs the back of his head.
"It's no problem sir."
"But don't do something so stupid again or else you'll be expelled next time." Aizawa threatens, Midoriya nods in response. "Now that you all fought real villains, it's time to continue your fight."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?" Mineta yells in fear.
"In two weeks, the UA Sports Festival will begin."

AUTHOR'S NOTES: Here's another chapter for yall. I decided to add Tokage and that is the final person in the pairing. I know a lot of people don't like me pairing Satsuki with Izuku but I'm sorry if you don't really like it and can't stand it then this may not be the story for you. Don't worry, she won't be with Izuku for a while. Mostly Tokage and Shoko. Also the next two stories I'm working on is Vigilante Deku(IzuJiro), OC (OCxMirkoxBurningxMtLady), 3rd year Izuku returns from America after a year (IzuMomo). Anyway, let me know how you like the story and leave a review. JA NE!
